This article analyzes mining exploitation and its catalytic effect on territorial growth, through the study of the patterns and hierarchies of occupation of the municipalities surrounding the mines, as well as the role of the Government in the management of mining and urban growth. The studied territories have spatial characteristics resulting from the economy of commodities on the rise of coal
Implementation of ABC costing systems based on technological platforms as a tool to improve the decision-making process in credit unions
The implementation of new cost systems is extremely important for organizations, especially when they seek to take advantage of new technologies as a tool to improve processes and become more efficient and effective. This study is aimed at recognizing the implementation of ABC costing systems based on technological platforms as a tool for improving the decision-making process in savings and credit cooperatives. At the methodological level, a non-experimental and field research is presented, in which a Likert-type survey is applied to a group of savings and credit cooperatives located in the city of Barranquilla (Colombia). The analysis of the information provided by the applied instrument allowed to establish that for this type of entities the implementation of an activity-based costing system would mean a constant source of competitive advantages and value generation, because it is fully adjusted to the needs of the organization, allowing it to execute the calculation of the CIF with a higher degree of accuracy as a result of the identification of the activities necessary to execute the processes that generate value for the solidarity organization immersed in the cooperative movemen
From grape bagasse to graphene-like porous carbon nanosheets for CO2 capture
Graphene-based materials have increasingly attracted attention in recent years. It is a material is recognized worldwide due to its numerous applications in several sectors. However, graphene production involves several challenges: scalability, high costs, and high-quality production. This study synthesized graphene-like porous carbon nanosheets (GPCNs) through a thermochemical process under a nitrogen atmosphere using grape bagasse as a precursor. Three temperatures (700, 800, and 900 ºC) of the pyrolysis process were studied. Chemical graphitization and activation were used to form high-specific surface area materials: FeCl3.6H2O(aq) and ZnCl2(s) in a simultaneous activation-graphitization (SAG) method. The materials obtained (GPCN700, GPCN800, and GPCN900) were compared to previously produced chars (C700, C800, and C900). A high specific surface area and total pore volume were obtained for GPCN materials, and GPCN900 presented the highest values: 1062.7 m2g−1 and 0.635 cm3 g−1, respectively. The GPCN and char materials were classified as mesoporous and applied as adsorbents for CO2(g). The GPCN800 presented the best CO2(g) adsorbent, with a CO2(g) adsorption capacity of 168.71 mg g−1
A new class of degenerate biparametric apostol–type polynomials
The main objective of this paper is to introduce and explore two novel classes of degenerate biparametric Apostol-type polynomials, which are based on a definition of degenerate Apostol-type polynomials provided by Subuhi Khan et al. We derive various algebraic and differential properties associated with these polynomials. Additionally, we provide a series of illustrative examples for these newly introduced polynomial families along with their corresponding graphs. The majority of the results are proven utilizing well-established generating functions and identities
A new perspective on measuring entropic complexity in manufacturing systems
The reopening of business systems caused by the effects of the pandemic has forced decision-makers to look for quick and efficient mechanisms to achieve adequate levels of production and sales. For this reason, it is necessary to promote improvements from the processes and operations that allow agile and less complex systems. The objective of this research is to propose a new entropic metric for measuring complexity in manufacturing systems, providing its validation at each stage for a better procedural understanding. Methodologically, a literature review was carried out, followed by a detailed proposal of the new metric and finally a case study comparing it with classical and extended metrics. The results allow to solve the shortcomings found in these methods and show a better performance in the measurement
A detailed study on the selection of borderline features for accurate mechanism description of the adsorption of different pesticide molecules under different temperature ranges
Mathematical models play a crucial role in data acquisition by boosting the capacity to interpret and group the gathered information. However, the challenge lies in choosing the most accurate model to represent data sets with very slight nuances, as it occurs in the validation of adsorption processes considering molecules with different properties but similar structural attributes. Due to these very small variations, there is a high chance of excessive adaption to specific patterns created by the distributions, statistically blindsiding the decision-making.
In this work, we used statistical physics (sta-phy) modeling and thermodynamic calculations of the three different pesticides 2,4-dichlorophenoxyacetic acid (2,4-D), dicamba (DCB), and mecoprop (MCPP) on a woody based activated carbon (WBAC) to demonstrate these patterns while also unveiling the mechanisms involved. We demonstrate that the statistical criteria alone do not provide enough clarity in these cases, and we propose using the physical meaning of each estimated parameter as a way out. Thus, in this work, we prove in detail that using sta-phy models requires absolute mastering of the subjects to ensure reliable results by understanding the relationships between the adsorption parameters and the system properties instead of a simple read of the determination coefficients.Elsevier B.V
de la institución, lo que obstruye la circulación apropiada de vehículosEvery day we see how large cities are evolving, new infrastructures, new roads and therefore
new challenges to take on, especially when it comes to mobility and traffic, although it is true
that mobility is closely related to the social fabric, the growth of population, and the need to be
able to interact and move around, the problems associated with these are increasing every day
and the analysis focus is changing.
In the present investigative work, a traffic study is carried out corresponding to the area of the
Liceo de Cervantes school in the city of Barranquilla whose intersections are critical due to their
high concentration of traffic; Through the observation of the environment, and both vehicular
and pedestrian gauging, the model of the intersections was developed in a simulation software
called PTV Vissim, with the current conditions, with the previously digitized information in
order to visualize the current behaviors and the possible measures to be taken based on what was
analyzed, taking into account the formation of queues at the entrances of the institution, which
obstructs the proper circulation of vehicles.

The current degree work had as its main objective the analysis of the tensions between medical responsibility and the solidarity of health promoting entities (EPS) in the Colombian territory and for this, a review of the literature related to civil responsibility was carried out. In general, medical liability and solidarity in matters of medical liability and others, using the legal partner as a research court and a qualitative approach, taking into account that this basically refers to an orientation based on evidence that traces in depth each aspect of the investigation. As a result, it was possible to perceive that there are indeed tensions between medical responsibility and the solidarity of the companies that promote health services in Colombia and they occur to the extent
that in the country it is possible to assign certain responsibilities to the EPS and IPS when it is verified that an act of “action or omission” has been committed on your part and that would haveaffected the generation of the damage. Contenido Capítulo I 12 –

The educational processes in rural areas need further study, since the educational strategies that are being implemented do not provide the necessary tools for the community to develop skills that allow them to contribute to a sustainable environment, therefore, the main objective of this research is to design an educational strategy for the care of water resources in the village of San José de Mamarraya, municipality of Guaranda, department of Sucre, through a descriptive study, with the use of quantitative techniques, which is based on the collection and analysis of data obtained after the field work. A structured interview was used to collect information from a sample of the population. The results of the diagnosis carried out in the bodies of water, allowed evidencing the high levels of contamination and deterioration of these, through the instrument implemented in the field, it was possible to relate the state of the water resources with the inadequate development of the socioeconomic activities of the community, understanding that this has a basis in the lack of environmental education, therefore, a didactic teaching-learning guide was designed and stratified by age range. Finally, this research understands that education is the basis for all social change; therefore, it is essential to continue working on how to sensitize, mobilize and equip society in favor of the use of water resources.Lista de Tablas y Figuras 11 – Introducción 13-- Capítulo I. ‘Take it easy’: how informal institutions shape an emerging economy Entrepreneurial Ecosystem
While it is widely acknowledged that entrepreneurial processes are embedded in an institutional framework, understanding exactly how institutions impact Entrepreneurial Ecosystems (EEs) remains a challenge. This is especially the case for informal institutions, and in particular those not directly related to entrepreneurship support. This paper contributes to this gap by addressing the question: How can an informal institution – not directly related to entrepreneurship support – shape entrepreneurial processes within an EE? It relies on a qualitative case study of a regional EE in Colombia, drawing on direct observation, semi-structured interviews, and secondary data analysis. ‘Take it easy’ was identified as an informal institution of the Colombian Caribbean where the analysed EE is located. Contrary to expectations, ‘take it easy’ does not refer to laziness; rather, it refers to doing things calmly, including conflict avoidance and an a preference for entertainment. While ‘take it easy’ is specific to this case study, the notion that informal institutions linked to individual agency and behaviour affect EE performance applies to any context
