La escritura y la lectura como “Tecnologías Cognitivas” y el estudio de la lectura en las ciencias cognitivas: Hacia una aproximación alternativa a la relación pensamiento-lenguaje
Get PDFIn the framework of the philosophical debate on the relationship thought-language, Dascal proposes to understand language as a "cognitive technology" (CT): that is, those means -material or mental- that humans use in a meaningful and routine way for the performance of their "cognitive objectives" (Dascal, 2002). On the other hand, Dehaene sets out to resolve, through his “neuronal recycling hypothesis”, the question of how writing fitted into our neural architecture, giving rise to the emergence of a novel cognitive capacity not caused by evolution: reading (Dehaene, 2014). I will defend that the notion of CT applied to the study of reading and writing could be a fruitful and alternative avenue of research to the problem of the thought-language relationship. Since this notion no It is committed to antagonistic positions on the thought-language relationship, and, on the other hand, it is consistent with current studies in cognitive science and neuroscience on the cognitive phenomenon of reading.En el marco del debate filosófico sobre la relación pensamiento-lenguaje, Dascal propone entender al lenguaje como una “tecnología cognitiva” (TC): esto es, aquellos medios –materiales o mentales- que los humanos usan de manera significativa y rutinaria para el desempeño de sus “objetivos cognitivos” (Dascal, 2002). Por otra parte, Dehaene se propone resolver, mediante su “hipótesis del reciclaje neuronal”, la cuestión de cómo la escritura se ajustó a nuestra arquitectura neuronal dando lugar al surgimiento de una capacidad cognitiva novedosa no causada por la evolución: la lectura (Dehaene, 2014). Defenderé que la noción de TC aplicada al estudio de la lectura y la escritura podría resultar una vía de investigación fructífera y alternativa al problema de la relación pensamiento-lenguaje. Ya que esta noción no se compromete con posiciones antagónicas sobre la relación pensamiento-lenguaje, y, por otra parte, se condice con los estudios actuales en ciencias cognitivas y neurociencia sobre el fenómeno cognitivo de la lectura

When faced with a problem, projecting a new challenge at work or personal level can be relevant to implement to examine the different possibilities of our personal acts. Now, a significant number of people examine the social and personal actions of other individuals, for example, those who lead the country's destiny, the content and forms of television programs, how young people face their life prospects. In these cases, the reflection is directed towards the actions of third parties, external to him or her, but who in one way or another affect, question or question the actions at a social and personal level, causing rejection or acceptance. Independent of the evaluation carried out, there is no internal review of what I do or what I am going to do in the words of Jorge Millas: “Most people do not want anything with the intellectual or with the intelligence. Taking them seriously means embittering the tranquility of routine” (Millas, 1975,15).¿En qué momento del día reflexionamos acerca de nuestro actuar personal? En el Chile del siglo XXI esta pregunta puede parecer lejana, poco utilizada, y a veces sin sentido. Al enfrentarnos ante algún problema, proyectar un nuevo desafío en el plano laboral o personal puede ser relevante de implementar para examinar las distintas posibilidades de nuestros actos personales. Ahora bien, un número significativo de personas examinan el actuar social y personal de otros individuos, por ejemplo, quienes conducen los destinos del país, los contenidos y formas de los programas de Televisión, cómo los jóvenes afrotan sus perspectivas de vida. En estos casos la reflexión es dirigida hacia el actuar de terceras personas, externas a ella o él, pero que de una u otra manera afectan, cuestionan o interpelan el actuar a nivel social y personal provocando un rechazo o aceptación. Independiente de la valorización efectuada no se realiza una revisión interior de lo que hago o lo que voy a hacer en palabras de Jorge Millas: “La mayoría de la gente no quiere nada con el intelectual ni con la inteligencia. Tomarlos en serio significa amargar la tranquilidad de la rutina” (Millas, 1975,15)

Get PDFThe present work seeks, in the first instance, exposing and contrasting two positions on the question of the Indian, namely, the question of the land, lending me, as an aid, the thoughts of the Peruvian José Carlos Mariátegui and the Bolivian Fausto Reinaga. The first understands that the problem of the Indian deals with a question about the land that must be resolved after the delivery of these to those; while the second understands that the problem of the Indian as a land issue is not resolved after the Agrarian Reform of 1953 in Bolivia, so Reinaga interprets this as the issue of the Indian is rather a question of power. On the other hand, it seeks to address the issues that concern progress and ethnocide that, in effect, also affect the Indian; that as a whole are carried out due to the current economic model practiced, if not in all of Latin America, in most of the countries of the region through (neo) extractivism and agribusiness.El presente trabajo busca, en primera instancia, exponer y contrastar dos posicionamientos sobre la cuestión del indio, a saber, la cuestión sobre la tierra prestándome, como auxilio, de los pensamientos del peruano José Carlos Mariátegui y del boliviano Fausto Reinaga. El primero entiende que el problema del indio trata de una cuestión sobre la tierra que debe resolverse tras la entrega de éstas a aquellos; en tanto el segundo entiende que el problema del indio en tanto cuestión tierra no se resuelve tras la Reforma Agraria de 1953 en Bolivia, por lo que Reinaga interpreta a esto que la cuestión del indio se trata más bien de una cuestión de poder. Por otro lado, se busca abordar sobre las cuestiones que atañen al progreso y etnocidio que, en efecto, también salpican al indio; que en su conjunto se ven llevadas a cabo debido al actual modelo económico practicado sino en toda Latinoamérica en la mayoría de los países de la región a través del (neo) extractivismo y el agronegocio

No full textThe concept of state of nature is a fundamental concept in the history of political philosophy. However, the notion of reason that supports this concept can be questioned if it is analyzed in the light of evolutionary continuity. That is, taking into account the fact that human beings are not entities separated from the rest of the living beings, but rather share multiple characteristics with them, particularly with those closest in evolutionary terms. That is why in this article the Hobbesian state of nature will be analyzed from three critical approaches of the assumption of human reason as a feature unanchored from evolutionarily previous characteristics.El concepto de estado de naturaleza de Thomas Hobbes es un concepto fundamental en la historia de la filosofía política. Ahora bien, la noción de razón que sustenta dicho concepto puede ser puesta en duda si se la analiza a la luz de la continuidad evolutiva. Es decir, teniendo en cuenta el hecho que los seres humanos no son entidades escindidas del resto de los seres vivos, sino que comparten múltiples características para con ellos, particularmente con los más cercanos en términos evolutivos. No full textThis work is not intended to spread contents of true traced in the Marxian work, but instead focuses on scrutinizing the notions of truth and ideology present in the scattered and, to a certain extent, chaotic Marxian production . The first part alludes to the meanings of true. The second and third, partially following the approaches of Néstor Kohan, mention some ways of approaching the truth proposed by relevant authors and make explicit the notions of truth present in the Marxian work, respectively. The fourth part exposes the conceptions of ideology taken up by the Marxist tradition and, at this point, I admit that I have not reached a conclusion, but I tend to believe that if we globally appreciate the Marxian work, the ideology, Strictly speaking, it is false consciousness, concealment of social contradictions derived from capitalism, and has its counterpart in class consciousness, in the unconcealment of contradictions.El presente trabajo no tiene como objetivo difundir contenidos de verdad rastreados en la obra marxiana, sino que se aboca a escudriñar en las nociones de verdad e ideología presentes en la desperdigada y, hasta cierto punto, caótica producción marxiana. La primera parte alude a los significados de verdad. La segunda y tercera, siguiendo parcialmente los planteamientos de Néstor Kohan, menciona algunas vías de abordaje de la verdad propuestas por autores relevantes y explicita las nociones de verdad presentes en la obra marxiana, respectivamente. La cuarta parte expone las concepciones de ideología recogidas por la tradición marxista y, en este punto, admito que no he llegado a una conclusión, pero tiendo a creer que si apreciamos globalmente la obra marxiana, la ideología, en rigor, es falsa conciencia, ocultamiento de las contradicciones sociales derivadas del capitalismo, y tiene su contraparte en la conciencia de clase, en el des-ocultamiento de las contradicciones

Get PDFHow does the canon operate? Since when? What script do you use? Is there a single canon, or are they rather epochal and plural crystallizations that seek to regulate them? These questions occur to us, unfinished questions as triggers to deal with the letters of the matter and make or receive a contribution. Not satisfied with the problems, readings and authors that the current philosophical canon presents, we choose to look away and attend to what is not contained in the curricular space of our Philosophy degree. We say divert and not ignore. We do not ignore the canon; as students of philosophy we recognize ourselves in it, we know we have been shaped by it, but we also know that we want to transform ourselves, allow ourselves to be and think differently; hence the urgent need for a diversion, or a possible crossing of its limits.¿Cómo opera el canon? ¿Desde hace cuánto? ¿Qué escritura utiliza? ¿Existe un único canon, o más bien son cristalizaciones epocales y plurales que pretenden regularlos? Se nos ocurren estas preguntas, interrogantes inconclusos como disparadores para tratar las cartas del asunto y realizar o recibir un aporte. No conformes con los problemas, lecturas y autores que el canon filosófico actual presenta, optamos por desviar la mirada y atender aquello no contenido en el espacio curricular de nuestra carrera de Filosofía. Decimos desviar y no ignorar. No ignoramos el canon; como estudiantes de filosofía nos reconocemos en él, nos sabemos formados por él, pero también sabemos que queremos transformarnos, permitirnos ser y pensar de otro modo; de allí la urgente necesidad de un desvío o, un posible franqueamiento de sus límites

The idea of peace demands not a ceasefire, or keeping harassment under control for a period of time, but goes further. The moment Peace in Colombia is said, it will be thanks to the peace treaty that the State and its enemies have signed. This will be the moment of a new history in Colombia. In Kant we understand that any peace treaty is not taken into account when the mental reservation of certain motives has been manifested in it, capable of provoking the future of another war, and a true peace treaty would not only put an end to everything existing conflict but may even prevent harassment and future wars. So this would be the output of the conflict.Todos los colombianos queremos la paz y estamos trabajando para conseguirla. En Colombia nos hemos mantenido en guerra desde tiempos históricos hasta nuestros días. La idea de paz demanda no un cese al fuego, o mantener los hostigamientos controlados por un período de tiempo, sino que va más allá. En el momento en que se diga, Paz en Colombia, será gracias al tratado de paz que el Estado y sus enemigos hayan firmado. Será éste el momento de una nueva historia en Colombia. En Kant entendemos que todo tratado de paz para que no sea tenido en cuenta es cuando en éste se haya manifestado la reserva mental de ciertos motivos, capaz de provocar el porvenir de otra guerra, y un verdadero tratado de paz no solo daría fin a todo conflicto existente sino que podrá aun impedir hostigamientos y guerras futuras. Por ende, éste sería la salida del conflicto

Get PDFIn this short essay I wonder about the origin of Language, trying to give a provisional answer. In this way of thinking and writing, I find certain characteristics of the event of Language and I distinguish it from human language, insofar as the former is pure expression and the latter the pretense of being logos. Thus appears the Mystery of Language that manifests itself as an aura on the edges of this entire essay. Arriving at the proper relationship with the Being, unfolding the ontological and epistemological dimensions of the treated topic, I am ending with a brief reflection on the conservation of Language and I end by respecting the Mystery of what is given more or less there or here from Him.En este breve ensayo me pregunto por el origen del Lenguaje, tratando de dar una respuesta provisoria. En este camino del pensar y el escribir, me encuentro con ciertas características del acontecimiento del Lenguaje y lo distingo del lenguaje humano, en tanto aquél es pura expresión y éste la pretensión de ser logos. Así se aparece el Misterio del Lenguaje que se manifiesta como un aura en los bordes de todo este ensayo. Llegando a la relación propia con el Ser, desplegándo las dimensiones ontológicas y gnoseológicas del tema tratado, voy terminando con una breve reflexión sobre la conservación del Lenguaje y finalizo respetando el Misterio de lo que se da más o menos allá o acá de Él
Universidad y filosofía. El universitario como agente humanizador
Get PDFThis paper addresses the figure of the university student as an educable social subject whose educational praxis is based on a practical humanism. It does so by establishing a philosophical analysis of the thematic field where the essence of the university is constituted. In this sense, it proposes a redefinition of the notion of university that attends to the grain outlined by the study and a ethos determined. Facing the neoliberal obstacles that degrade the humanistic intentionality of the university, the article tries to recover two elements in the conception of the university student. And it ends by warning, by virtue of the humanistic character of the university student, the importance of redefining the current meaning of the university without condition.El presente trabajo aborda la figura del universitario como un sujeto social educable cuya praxis educativa se sostiene en un humanismo práctico. Lo hace estableciendo un análisis filosófico del campo temático donde se constituye la esencia del universitario. En este sentido, propone una redefinición de la noción de universitario que atienda a la veta delineada por el estudio y un ethos determinado. Frente a los obstáculos neoliberales que degradan la intencionalidad humanista de la universidad, el artículo trata de recuperar dos elementos en la concepción del universitario. Y termina advirtiendo, en virtud del carácter humanista del universitario, la importancia de redefinir el sentido actual de la universidad sin condición
Acerca del relativismo de Thomas Samuel Kuhn
Get PDFThe impact of the work of Thomas Samuel Kuhn It is due, in large part, to the emphasis with which this author highlighted the relevance of factors external to scientific knowledge in the development of scientific practice. But also the relativistic and subjectivist consequences that emerge from many of the positions that he defended in his first publications contributed to the wide dissemination of his ideas. However, in his later writings, Kuhn seems to have qualified some of his more radical views. In this work, some critical observations about his work are formulated. It is also argued that the modifications subsequently introduced by this author only constitute partial alterations of the most extreme theses that characterize his work.El impacto de la obra de Thomas Samuel Kuhn se debe, en gran parte, al énfasis con que este autor destacó la relevancia de factores externos al conocimiento científico en el desarrollo de la práctica científica. Pero también las consecuencias relativistas y subjetivistas que se desprenden de muchas de las posiciones que defendió en sus primeras publicaciones contribuyeron con la amplia difusión de sus ideas. No obstante, en sus últimos escritos, Kuhn parece haber matizado algunas de sus concepciones más radicales. En este trabajo, se formulan algunas observaciones críticas sobre su obra. Se argumenta, además, que las modificaciones posteriormente introducidas por este autor sólo constituyen alteraciones parciales de las tesis más extremas que caracterizan su obra
