ARTE RUPESTRE E TRADICIÓN ORAL NO VAL DO TEA: EXTERNALIZANDO A MEMORIA DO PATRIMONIO ARQUEOLÓXICO
Archaeological research into open-air engravings in Galicia began at the beginning of the 20th century, with contributions that prioritised the quantification and cataloguing of these manifestations. The materiality of the archaeological elements was the focus of the studies, but what about the intangible heritage fixed on these cultural assets? How are these rock representations known in their environment? The proposal presented here attempts to address an ethnoarchaeological approach –a line that is scarcely developed in Galicia– for the petroglyphs of the Tea valley (Pontevedra, Galicia). The aim is to focus on the oral tradition, mainly the narratives and toponymy that have settled on these places with rock art, as a means of shaping the symbolic and cultural landscape, and also as a means of socialisation of archaeological heritage. Based on a documentary and bibliographic emptying focused on our area of action, the results of a study of monuments that are static in space, but dynamically reinterpreted over the course of centuries and societies, are presented. The main objective of this work is to contribute to the study and protection of rock art, as well as related intangible heritage, with the premise that active collaboration with local communities and the integration of a multivocal approach allows the promotion of their cultural heritage as a whole.

The relevance of resources and dynamic capabilities in social economy organizations is fundamental for promoting their sustainability in an environment characterized by volatility and uncertainty. This paper presents a theoretical and critical analysis of how these organizations, dedicated to generating economic and social benefits, can integrate, build, and reconfigure internal and external competencies to effectively respond to contextual changes. The research highlights the necessity of a macro analysis of the political, economic, social, technological, environmental, and legal contexts as a basis for successful social intervention. The interrelations between perception, apprehension, transformation, and strategic integration are explored, emphasizing that the effectiveness of these organizations lies in their ability to continuously adapt their resources and capabilities. It concludes that the effective application of dynamic capabilities is crucial for strategic formulation and viability over the long-term, promoting a holistic management approach that values innovation, continuous learning, and collaboration. The relevance of resources and dynamic capabilities in social economy organizations is fundamental for promoting their sustainability in an environment characterized by volatility and uncertainty.
Using Jungian psychologist Marie-Louise von Franz’s The Problem of the Puer Aeternus (2000) as a theoretical framework, the present article discusses the characters and the apocalyptic world of Gary Shteyngart’s Super Sad True Love Story (2010) through the perspective of the archetype of the eternal child. The discussion focuses on the main characters’ quest for immortality, the visibility of the individual among the masses, and the dangers of a cold, detached Weltanschauung in contemporary society, additionally foregrounding interpretations of character behaviours, such as their infantile reactions to events and their relationships, which are presented in relation to the respective Jungian archetype.

Medical texts for lay people contain many definitions, inserted in the text at key points where new concepts are introduced. Definitions are a sort of information bubble. The classic or canonical definition, introduced with a hyperonym of the defined term, poses few problems in translation; however, there are other definitions, as well as quasi-definitions and pseudo-definitions, that are more problematic when translating into Spanish, because they either expose the logical flaws of the original or because Spanish cannot imitate the resources with which they are formulated in the English original. In this paper, I review common types of definitions found in medical texts for patients, using clinical research informed consent forms as the source of example, and I propose a number of translation strategies. Specifically, I suggest reformulating quasi- and pseudo-definitions adopting the structure of canonical definitions, so that they are easily recognized by readers. This proposal is based on an understanding of the definition as an independent linguistic structure, almost as a micro-genre. In short, I claim that the definition should be viewed as a translation unit.
