Considering the mixed nature of Irrigation Communities, Law 19/2013, of December 9, on transparency, access to public information and good governance, includes them in its subjective scope of application, regarding only the activities they carried out subject to administrative law. This paper analyses the scope of the right to access information held by the IrrigationCommunities in light of the decisions issued by the Council for Transparency and Good Governance and by its regional counterparts.Las Comunidades de Regantes son entidades de base privada que ejercen algunas funciones públicas. Atendiendo a la naturaleza mixta o bifronte de las Comunidades de Regantes, la Ley 19/2013, de 9 de diciembre, de transparencia, acceso a la información pública y buen gobierno, las incorpora en su ámbito subjetivo de aplicación, pero únicamente respecto de las actividades que realizan con sujeción al Derecho administrativo. EN EL LABERINTO DE LA RETRADUCCIÓN DE CLÁSICOS DE LITERATURA INFANTIL Y JUVENIL: ALICE’S ADVENTURES IN WONDERLAND Y THE JUNGLE BOOK
Get PDFRetranslation of children’s and young literature is a reality, and works slightly differently from that for adults. This paper involves a quantitative study of the retranslations of two classics for the young people: Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland (1865), by Lewis Carroll, and The Jungle Book (1894), by Rudyard Kipling. The first objective is to determine the number of retranslations into different languages of these two canonical works to shed light on the patterns regarding retranslation, as well as publishing trends. To reach that aim, all retranslations of these novels to be identified in different databases have been searched for. The second objective lies in determining the possible reasons for these retranslations, and their differences from retranslating literature for adults.La retraducción de obras de literatura infantil y juvenil es una realidad y funciona, hasta cierto punto, de manera diferente a la de la literatura para adultos. Por ello, en este trabajo presentamos un estudio cuantitativo del volumen de retraducciones de dos clásicos de literatura infantil y juvenil: Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland (1865), de Lewis Carroll, y The Jungle Book (1894), de Rudyard Kipling. El primer objetivo es determinar el número de retraducciones de estas dos obras canónicas a otras lenguas para intentar dilucidar las tendencias de este fenómeno en este ámbito editorial en cuanto a patrones de comportamiento sobre la retraducción en la literatura infantil y juvenil. Para ello se ha realizado una búsqueda en diferentes bases de datos de todas las retraducciones registradas hasta la fecha de estas dos obras. El segundo objetivo es intentar determinar cuáles son las motivaciones que se esconden detrás de estas retraducciones que la diferencian de la retraducción de la literatura para adultos
La exposición general de las Islas Filipinas: Muestras gramaticales y lexicográficas
Get PDFThe General Exhibition of the Philippine Islands, held in Madrid in 1887, was presented to the public as the best showcase so that the exotic and unknown overseas colony, with serious deficiencies in infrastructures and communication routes, organic cultural limitations and a lethargic educational system, could show the positive side of its scientific, technical, pedagogical and artistic achievements, the richness and diversity of its physical environment and its cultural and ethnographic specificities. Grammatical and lexicographical studies were also given a place in the Eighth Section and in the Collection of Álvarez Guerra, where they were presented to the visitor as a sign of educational progress and as evangelical and patriotic bastions in the domain of indigenous cultures. In this article, taking as our main bibliographical sources the official Catalogue and Guide to the Exposition (1887) and the Bibliografía de la lingüística misionera española (Esparza Torres and Niederehe 2023), we will find out what these works were, to whom they are attributed and how they fit into the bibliographical trajectory of their authors. A historiographical approach will be adopted for this purpose, appropriate to the nature of the production context and the relevance of this event in the presentation of philippine missionary linguistics to society.La Exposición General de las Islas Filipinas, celebrada en Madrid en 1887, se presentó al público como el mejor escaparate para que la exótica y desconocida colonia de Ultramar, con graves deficiencias todavía en infraestructuras y vías de comunicación, limitaciones culturales orgánicas y un aletargado sistema educativo, mostrara la cara amable de sus logros científicos, técnicos, pedagógicos y artísticos, la riqueza y diversidad de su medio físico y sus especificidades culturales y etnográficas. También los estudios gramaticales y lexicográficos tuvieron su espacio en la Sección Octava y en la Colección de Álvarez Guerra, donde se presentaron ante el visitante como un signo del progreso educativo y bastiones evangélicos y patrióticos en el dominio de las culturas indígenas. Conoceremos en este artículo, tomando como principales fuentes bibliográficas el Catálogo y la Guía oficiales de la Exposición (1887) y la Bibliografía de la lingüística misionera española (Esparza Torres y Niederehe 2023), cuáles fueron esas obras, a quiénes se le atribuyen y cómo se engarzan en la trayectoria bibliográfica de sus autores. Se adoptará para ello un enfoque historiográfico, adecuado a la naturaleza del contexto de producción y a la relevancia de este evento en la presentación en sociedad de la lingüística misionera filipina

Deporte como vehículo de desarrollo e inclusión social desde la perspectiva de los gestores
Get PDFThe use of sport to achieve broader social objectives has become popular in recent years to promote the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The academic community has highlighted the need to identify and empirically verify the contribution of sport to human development within groups at social risk. Most work has focused on geographic regions - Africa, Asia, Oceania and Europe - although in Latin America, the Caribbean and Spain it has been used as a catalyst, there is still limited understanding of its use among the general community. The purpose of this study is to describe the perspective of the managers of two youth organizations that use sport as a vehicle for community development and social inclusion in Colombia. The ethnographic approach study uses semi-structured interviews to determine the managers' reasons for intervening using sport as a vehicle for transformation and social inclusion. The conclusions show that football promotes social integration; Those involved improve their ability to work as a team and form a sense of community belonging. Future research may include describing the impact on children, youth, and parents because of a community sports program.El uso del deporte para alcanzar objetivos sociales más amplios se ha popularizado los últimos años para la promoción de los Objetivos de Desarrollo Sostenible (ODS). La comunidad académica ha resaltado la necesidad de identificar y constatar de forma empírica la contribución del deporte en el desarrollo humano dentro de colectivos en riesgo social. La mayoría de los trabajos se han centrado en regiones geográficas particulares –África, Asia, Oceanía y Europa– y aunque en América Latina, el Caribe y España se ha utilizado como catalizador aún hay limitada comprensión de su uso entre la comunidad general. El propósito de este estudio es describir la perspectiva de los gestores de dos organizaciones juveniles que utilizan el deporte como vehículo de desarrollo e inclusión social comunitaria en Colombia. El estudio de enfoque etnográfico utiliza entrevistas semiestructuradas para determinar las razones de los gestores para intervenir utilizando el deporte como vehículo de transformación e inclusión social. Las conclusiones muestran que el fútbol promueve la integración social; los implicados mejoran su capacidad de trabajo en equipo y forma un sentido de pertenencia comunitario. La investigación futura puede incluir la descripción del impacto en los infantes, jóvenes y padres de familia resultado de un programa deportivo comunitario.

Get PDFAt the beginning of the year 1945, an Intelligence target it was developed in order to capture goods and assets looted by Germany during the war, located in and through neutral countries, as well as cut-out any Nazi clandestine organization conceived for the post-war period. At the same time, the British Special Operations Executive (SOE) was in a process of change and adaptation, affecting the continuity as a secret service with bylaws. In February 1945, the SOE promoted a mission in Switzerland, which combined clandestine action and intelligence gathering, coordinated with the Secret Intelligence Services (SIS). His mission was the infiltration and investigation of certain people “black market” to Switzerland, controlled by Germans through Swiss connections. The plot showed connections about freedom Jews from Nazi camps for ransoms. This study reviews the rol played by Jean-Marie Musy in the supposed network, as well as the objectives and results of the operation and, finally, the opportunity and convenience. The investigation has resorted to the comparative analysis of bibliographic sources and the examination of archival documents, belonging to the British and American national archives.Un objetivo de Inteligencia a comienzos de 1945 fue la localización e intervención de bienes y activos alemanes, ocultos bajo diversas formas en los países neutrales, así como la eliminación de cualquier organización clandestina nazi concebida para la posguerra. El Ejecutivo de Operaciones Especiales británico (Special Operations Executive-SOE) se encontraba al mismo tiempo en un proceso de cambio y adaptación, que afectaba incluso a su continuidad como servicio secreto con estatuto propio. En febrero de 1945 impulsó una misión en Suiza, que combinaba la acción clandestina y la captación de Inteligencia, en coordinación con el Servicio Secreto de Inteligencia (Secret Intelligence Services-SIS). Tuvo por finalidad investigar e infiltrarse en determinado tráfico de personas y capitales hacia Suiza, controlado por alemanes a través de conexiones suizas. La trama presentaba conexiones con las liberaciones de judíos de los campos nazis a cambio del pago de rescates. El presente trabajo revisa la participación de Jean-Marie Musy en la supuesta red, los objetivos y resultados de la operación, así como su oportunidad y conveniencia. Se ha recurrido a investigaciones y bibliografía específica comparada y al análisis de fuentes documentales provenientes de los archivos británico y estadounidense.
