    SISTEM BERKELANJUTAN PADA FURNITURE BERBAHAN SERAT PANDAN

    ABSTRAKKonsep desain berkelanjutan menjadi salah satu isu yang dipertimbangkan dalam bidang desain interior. Pemilihan material pada produk interior dapat memberikan dampak pada keberlangsungan ekosistem alam, sistem sosial masyarakat maupun ekonomi. Penelitian ini bertujuan memaparkan penerapan sistem berkelanjutan pada produk kursi yang menggunakan material bahan alam (serat pandanus tectorius). Tanaman Pandan duri atau disebut pandanus tectorius banyak tumbuh menyebar di kepulauan Indonesia, sehingga dapat berpotensi menjadi material berkelanjutan pada produk interior. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif dengan memaparkan spesifikasi desain kursi material serat pandan yang dikaji menggunakan 3 area primer prinsip desain berkelanjutan yaitu: operasional, filosofi dan praktek. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa produk kursi berbahan serat pandan memenuhi 3 area primer prinsip desain berkelanjutan. ABSTRACTThe concept of sustainable design is one of the issues considered in the field of interior design. The choice of materials in interior products can have an impact on the sustainability of natural ecosystems, social and economic systems. This study aims to describe the application of a sustainable system on chair products that use pandan fiber material. The pandan duri plant or known as pandanus tectorius grows widely in the Indonesian archipelago, so it has the potential to become a sustainable material in interior products. This study uses a qualitative method by describing the design specifications of the pandanus fiber chair and then studying it using 3 primary areas of sustainable design principles, namely: operations, philosophy, and practice. The results of this study indicate that the chair made from pandan fiber fulfills 3 primary areas of sustainable design principles

    DEFORMATION OF SRIKAYA FRUIT IN WOOD PRODUCTS

    Srikaya fruit has a distinctive character on the skin, namely the natural but regular division of the chunks which when appointed as an idea for product design will be interesting. The results of future research are the deformation of srikaya fruit in the form of wood products in the form of interior decoration for homes as well as an access reminder for humans that srikaya fruit is part of the health facility for the human body because it contains folic acid, potassium, vitamin C, fiber, vitamin A, magnesium and a good source of iron for the body. In terms of research targets, it is expected that the results of the design of wood products have their own unique values, both in wood material, design, product shape and finishing, so that when displayed they will get a positive response.     Abstract120 Arpeggio Op. 1 developed by Mauro Giuliani is a technique exercises specifically targeting the improvement of the ability of the right finger for classical guitarists. Various variations or complete right finger exercise formulas are summarized in 120 Arpeggio Op. 1 Mauro Giuliani. This research was conducted with the aim to find out about any aspect of the right hand that had improved after practicing using the 120 Arpeggio Op. 1 technique exercises method of Mauro Giuliani. The results of this research showed that there were several things that technically the right hand had improved after doing the exercises with the M. Giulian method, including: (1) Speed of the plucking, (2) Finger synchronization when plucking the string, (3) Accuracy of the finger when plucking the guitar strings and (4) Articulation. The method used in this study is a qualitative method by prioritizing explanations which are then forwarded analytically to the research object

    AbstrakKarya tari “Filter” merupakan karya peraih Hibah Seni Kelola 2019, kategori karya kolaborasi inovatif. Terinspirasi dari kondisi merebaknya hoaks (berita bohong) di jejaring sosial, khususnya pada layanan sosial media. Mengusung tema kehidupan sosial masyarakat di Indonesia, guna merefleksikan kondisi yang terjadi di Indonesia akibat hoaks yang berserakan di media digital. Memilih tipe abstrak dengan metode penciptaan berupa observasi (penjelajahan data, wawancara dan dokumentasi), analisa data, proses penciptaan (eksplorasi, improvisasi dan komposisi/pembentukan), persiapan, pertunjukan dan evaluasi. Karya ini terdiri dari 3 (tiga) bagian, antara lain ; 1) Menggambarkan bebasnya informasi yang beredar di sosial media, 2) Berita bohong (hoaks) yang tidak terbendung membanjiri sosial media, 3) Upaya individu dalam menyaring informasi hoaks yang berserakan, memilih dan berbagi informasi sesuai kebutuhan. Pelahiran karya ini memberikan tawaran esensi ideal akan pemanfaatan teknologi dalam berkomunikasi, meminimalisir dampak hoaks dari elemen terkecil, yaitu individu itu sendiri.AbstractThe dance work "Filter" is the work of the 2019 Governance Art Grant winner in innovative collaboration works. It is inspired by the widespread condition of hoaxes (fake news) on social networks, especially on social media services. Carrying the theme of social life in Indonesia, to reflect the situations that occur in Indonesia due to hoaxes scattered in digital media—selecting the abstract type with the creation method in the form of observation (data exploration, interviews, and documentation), data analysis, creation process (exploration, improvisation, and composition/formation), preparation, performance, and evaluation. This work consists of 3 (three) parts, among others; 1) Describing the freedom of information circulating on social media, 2) Unstoppable hoaxes flooding social media, 3) Individual efforts in filtering scattered hoax information, selecting and sharing information as needed.     ABSTRAK Proses berbagi informasi tentang sebuah kabar secara interpersonal mempunyai suatu kelemahan sehingga terjadi miskomunikasi.  Adapun miskomunikasi interpersonal dapat menimbulkan berbagai dampak disintegrasi. Miskomunikasi interpersonal dapat melakukan berbagai rekayasa fakta dan data sehingga dapat berdampak dalam lintas budaya, dan batas wilayah Negara akibat pengaruh teknologi. Fenomena miskomunikasi interpersonal sebagai ide mewujud  dalam karya teater berjudul Ba A Ka Ba A. Baa? Kaba’a? merupakan bentuk frasa berkonotasi negatif yang bernuansa pesimis,  yang digunakan memperlihatkan kepasarahan menghadapi situasi sulit. Namun Baa? Kaba’a? juga merupakan bentuk frasa yang berkonotasi positif bernuansa optimis. Tergambar dalam keseharian masyarakat di Minangkabau digunakan untuk memperlihatkan rasa semangat dan harapan tinggi. Menggunakan gaya teater kejam (cruelty theater) Artaud, tubuh aktor dan komposisi panggung menjadi medium kolaborasi menggarap tema Baa? Kaba’a? sebagai objek formal penciptaan. Pada temuan di penciptaan, dampak miskomunikasi interpersonal dapat hadir dengan format yang berbeda di atas panggung.ABSTRACTThe process of interpersonally sharing information about a piece of news has a weakness, so miscommunication occurs. Interpersonal miscommunication can cause various effects of disintegration. Interpersonal miscommunication can carry out multiple engineering facts and data to impact cultures and national boundaries due to the influence of technology. The phenomenon of interpersonal miscommunication as an idea manifests itself in a theatrical work entitled Ba A Ka Ba A. Baa? Kaba'a? is a form of phrase with a negative connotation and a pessimistic nuance, which shows the marketability of facing difficult situations. But Baa? Kaba'a? is also a positive definition and an optimistic nuance. It is depicted in the daily life of people in Minangkabau, and it is used to show a sense of enthusiasm and high hopes. Using Artaud's Cruelty Theatre, the actors' bodies and stage compositions serve as a medium for collaboration on the theme of Baa? Kaba'a? as a formal object of creation.     THE ART OF INVESTIGATION TECHNIQUE TO ENHANCE STUDENTS’ ACHIEVEMENT IN WRITING

    ABSTRACTThis study  entitled “The Art of Investigation Technique to Enhance Students’ Achievement in Writing”. This study intend to seek an answer to the questions “ Is there a significant difference in the enhancement of writing skills between the students who are taught using the Group Investigation technique and those who are taught  through the conventional method?” This is an experimental study using classroom action research. The subject of this research were Grade VIII Students of SMP Negeri 1 Parongpong, Bandung. There were 75 students. To collect the data the pre-test was administered at the start of the program and  the post-test at the end of the three months program. Based on the data analysis it was found that there was a significance difference among the experimental and the control  groups. Another finding the students were interested in writing through Group Investigation Technique. Therefore it is concluded that teaching writing through Group Investigation Technique could improve students' writing skills. This study suggest that teachers of English should be trained to use this technique

    ABSTRAKSumber ide bohemian” dari trend yang berkembang di tahun 1960-an memiliki ciri khas dengan motif bunga-bunga, romaniac etnik maupun motif geometris. sumber ide “bohemian” sangat menarik ketika Batik Kontemporer di aplikasikan ke dalam motif pagi sore untuk busana busana Ready to Wear.  Batik kontemporer pada motif Pagi Sore dapat  membuat masyarakat beradaptasi dalam pemakaian busana motif batik dengan motif-motif yang bervariasi dan inovasi mengikuti trend sehingga mendongkrak batik supaya tidak kehilang unsur budaya nya. Tahap perancangan melalui tahap Observasi, Wawancara dan Pengisian Kuesioner, studi visual yang mengacu pada metode dari teori Colin Clipson (1989:43) yaitu kegiatan mendesain mulai dari konsep, proses dan visualisasi karya yang mengacu kepada pasar dan pembeli. Hasil visualisasi yang terpilih dilanjutkan pada proses perancangan karya menggunakan teknik batik tulis kemudian direalisasikan pada 1 buah produk fungsional yaitu busana ready to wear dan 1 lembar kain batik kontemporer motif pagi sore dengan sumber ide bohemianABSTRACTThe bohemian ideas from the trends that developed in the 1960s are characterized by floral motifs, ethnic Romanian, and geometric motifs. The source of the "bohemian" concept is exciting when Contemporary Batik is applied to the Pagi Sore motifs for Ready to Wear clothing. Contemporary batik in the Pagi Sore motifs can make people adapt to batik motif clothing with varied motifs and innovation following trends to boost batik so as not to lose its cultural elements. The design stage is through the Observation, Interview, and Questionnaire Filling stands. This visual study refers to the method of Colin Clipson's theory (1989:43), namely designing activities starting from the concept, process, and visualization of works that refer to the market and buyers. The selected visualization results are continued in developing the job using the written batik technique and then realized on one functional product, namely ready-to-wear clothing and one sheet of contemporary batik cloth with Pagi Sore motifs with a source of bohemian ideas

    This study discusses the analysis of the song Siksik Sibatu Manikkam performed by the Jamrud music group. The song Siksik Sibatu Manikkam was arranged and published in 2011 on the third track on the Jamrud music group's ninth album entitled Bumi dan Langit Menangis with Rock style. The theories used in this research are William P. Malm's theory to get a musicological study and Ferdinand de Saussure's semiotic theory to explain the meaning in this song. The song Siksik Sibatu Manikkam is performed in a modern (rock) style with drums, electric guitar, bass guitar, keyboard, and electronic music in the form of hasapi sound. The method used in this research is qualitative descriptive. The results of the study are that the structure of the musical form in the song Siksik Sibatu Manikkam is a song form with 2 parts consisting of A(a,a'), B(b,b') which consists of an intro, part A, Intermezzo, part B. , Intermezzo, B', Interlude, A', Outro. The meaning in the song Siksik Sibatu Manikkam is about the fate of a man who can marry a woman who was previously considered to have nothing by the woman. But the man reaps luck by getting his idol.ABSTRAKPenelitian ini membahas tentang analisis lagu Siksik Sibatu Manikkam yang dibawakan oleh grup musik Jamrud. Lagu Siksik Sibatu Manikkam diaransemen dan diterbitkan tahun 2011 pada track ketiga di album kesembilan grup musik Jamrud yang berjudul Bumi dan Langit Menangis dengan gaya Rock. Teori-teori yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah teori William P. Malm untuk mendapatkan kajian musikologis, dan teori semiotika Ferdinand de Saussure untuk memaparkan makna dalam lagu ini. Lagu Siksik Sibatu Manikkam dibawakan dengan bergaya musik modern (rock) dengan instrumen drum, gitar elektrik, gitar bass, keyboard dan musik elektronik berupa bunyi hasapi. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah dekriktif kualitatif. Hasil dari penelitian adalah bahwa struktur bentuk musik pada lagu Siksik Sibatu Manikkam merupakan bentuk lagu song form dengan 2 bagian terdiri dari A(a,a’), B(b,b’) yang terdiri dari intro, bagian A, Intermezzo, bagian B, Intermezzo, B’, Interlude, A’, Outro. Adapun makna yang terkandung dalam lagu Siksik Sibatu Manikkam adalah tentang nasib seorang laki-laki yang dapat mempersunting seorang perempuan dimana dulu dirinya dianggap tidak memiliki apa-apa oleh si perempuan.     AbstrakArtikel ini merupakan sebuah analisis makna terhadap karya-karya seni visual Butet Kartaredjasa “Goro-Goro Bhineka Keramik”. Penelitian dilakukan menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan focus pada pendekatan semiotika dyadic Ferdinand De Saussure. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa karya-karya “Goro-Goro Bhineka Keramik” memiliki makna tentang pentingnya sikap kritis bagi si seniman, sindiran politik yang memecah belah masyarakat serta pentingnya menjaga persatuan di tengah keberagaman sebagai identitas bangsa Indonesia.AbstractThe paper is a meaning analysis on artworks “Goro-Goro Bhineka Ceramic” by Butet Kartaredjasa.
