    “TIGA PEREMPUAN” ALIH WAHANA TEATER KE FILM

    AbstrakTulisan ini dilatarbelakangi oleh studi kasus terhadap pertunjukan teater Tiga Perempuan. Sebagai suatu pertunjukan, Tiga Perempuan memiliki potensi untuk diangkat menjadi sebuah karya film. Perubahan dari media panggung ke layar film ini bisa disebut alih wahana merupakan sumber gagasan awal yang dapat direspon oleh para sutradara. Tiga Perempuan berangkat dari isu ketahanan budaya. Perempuan sebagai pelaku dalam kesenian saluang dendang diangkat menjadi gagasan kekaryaan dengan merangkai alur konflik menggunakan tahapan multiplot. Perubahan ini dapat dilihat bagaimana kontruksi sinematografi dan mise-en-scene yang dapat digunakan. Menggunakan teori film dan alih wahana, maka pilihan dan tawaran yang memungkinkan dalam merespon pertunjukan teater tersebut salahsatunya, menggunakan data kualitatif yang telah didapatkan di lapangan, sehingga perubahan yang dilakukan dapat dianalisis secara deskriptif.AbstractThis paper is motivated by a case study of the Tiga Wanita theater performance. As a show, Tiga Perempuan has the potential to be made into a film. This change from stage media to film screens can be called the transfer of rides, a source of initial ideas that the directors can respond to. Tiga Wanita departed from the issue of cultural resilience. Women as actors in the art of saluang dendang are appointed as creative ideas by stringing conflict plots using multiplot stages. This change can be seen in how the construction of cinematography and mise-en-scene can be used. Using film theory and transfer of rides, the possible choices and offers in responding to the theatrical performance, one of them, is using qualitative data that has been obtained in the field so that the changes made can be analyzed descriptively

    ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk meninjau dan mendeskripsikan hasil karya siswa SMP Swasta Rakyat Pancur Batu dalam menggambar kartun dengan objek binatang. Berdasarkan unsur Seni Rupa yaitu bentuk, warna dan gelap terang. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif kualitatif, yaitu metode prosedur pemecahan masalah yang diselidiki dengan mendeskripsikan keadaan obejk peneliti secara apa adanya. Sasaran penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIII SMP Swasta Rakyat Pancur Batu secara keseluruhan dan guru bidang studi Seni Budaya SMP Swasta Rakyat Pancur Batu. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah kelas VIII-1, VIII-2 dan VIII-3 sebanyak 30 siswa. Teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan adalah kouta sampling. Teknik pengumpulan data adalah tes dan observasi. Instrumen penelitian adalah menggunakan android, kamera dan lembar penilaian karya.ABSTRACTThis study aims to review and describe the work of students of Pancur Batu Private Middle School in drawing cartoons with animal objects. Based on the elements of Fine Art, namely shape, color and light dark. This type of research is a qualitative descriptive study, namely the method of problem solving procedures which is investigated by describing the researcher's object condition as it is. The targets of this study were students of class VIII of Pancur Batu Private Public Middle School as a whole and teachers of Pancur Batu Public Private Middle School. The sample in this study was class VIII-1, VIII-2 and VIII-3 as many as 30 students. The sampling technique used was quota sampling. Data collection techniques are tests and observations. The research instrument is to use android, camera and work assessment sheets.

    TRADITIONAL FOOD AS A CREATION INNOVATION OF BORANAN BATIK SPECIAL IN LAMONGAN EAST JAVA

    AbstractBoranan traditional food is typical of Lamongan City. Food that has been passed down from generation to generation is still busy with local people. Boranan rice is still unknown by people outside Lamongan City. In particular, this research was conducted to create a boranan batik motif as the identity of Lamongan City and to introduce the existence of this food through the art of written batik. This research is a descriptive qualitative research using Gustami's craft research method, namely the exploration stage, the design stage and the embodiment stage. The exploration stage is carried out by collecting data through literature study, observation, interviews, documentation and data recording. The design stage is carried out with sketches of batik motifs and patterns. The embodiment stage is carried out by making batik using written batik techniques and using naptol coloring. The creation of a motif with a unique character and still having the characteristic form of the original rice boran food will create a new identity from the city of Lamongan. In addition, it is also able to preserve regional culture and introduce it to the wider community

    Inovasi layanan perpustakaan merupakan tuntutan zaman yang harus diakomodir dan diwujudkan dalam bentuk kebijakan program atau kegiatan yang dapat direalisasikan agar dapat meningkatkan kunjungan perpustakaan, pada akhir memberikan kontribusi peningkatan indeks literasi. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk menganalisis inovasi bioskop sebagai wahana baru di Perpustakaan Padang Panjang. Metode penelitian deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif dengan sumber data wawancara dan dokumentasi. Kemudian analisis data berdasarkan Analisis Interactive Model dari Miles & Humberman. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemutaran film edukasi di bioskop perpustakaan Padang Panjang dapat memicu peningkatan kunjungan masyarakat ke perpustakaan dan film-film edukasi yang paling banyak peminatnya adalah film Surau dan Silek, disusul dengan film Kisah Rasullah dan Pengemis Buta Yahudi serta Sepatu Dahlan.ABSTRACTLibrary service innovation is a demand of the times that must be accommodated and realized in the form of program policies or activities that can be discovered to increase library visits, contributing to an increase in the literacy index. This study aimed to analyze cinema innovation as a new vehicle in the Padang Panjang Library. Descriptive research method with a qualitative approach with data sources interview and documentation. Then the data analysis is based on the Interactive Model Analysis from Miles & Humberman. The results showed that screening educational films at the Padang Panjang library cinema could increase public visits to the library. The educational films with the most demand were Surau and Silek films, followed by the films Kisah Rasullah and the Pengemis Buta Yahudi  and Sepatu Dahlan

    NYAI GOWOK DAN RONGGENG DUKUH PARUK: WACANA SEKSUALITAS ORANG JAWA PADA ERA PASCA KOLONIAL

    ABSTRAKMasyarakat Jawa memiliki berbagai aturan dan pandangan hidup, salah satunya yang berkaitan dengan seksualitas. Ditinjau ke masa sebelumnya, ritus seksualitas atau kesuburan dipengaruh sistem kepercayaan kuno hingga Hindu-Budha mendominasi seksualitas masyarakat Jawa. Moralitas agama Semitik/ Samawi membuat seksualitas dalam kebudayaan Jawa bersifat ambigu. Di satu sisi seksualitas tabu dibicarakan di publik, di sisi lain sangat digemari dalam keheningan. Bentuk seksualitas masyarakat Jawa dapat dilihat dalam tradisi gowok, yakni seorang perempuan yang memiliki otoritas untuk melatih masalah seks calon pengantin pria. Dalam kesenian rakyat juga terdapat ronggeng atau tayub sebagai simbol kesuburan yang dirayakan dengan pertemuan antara lingga (penis) dan yoni (vagina). Memasuki era postkolonial, muncul wacana dekolonisasi kebudayaan. Kesenian rakyat dilirik oleh kekuatan-kekuatan politik sehingga menjadi arena kontestasi politik kebudayaan. Pengetahuan tentang seksualitas dalam tradisi dan kesenian rakyat diproduksi dan direproduksi untuk kepentingan tertentu. Proses dan konteks sosial ini ditangkap sebagai inspirasi penulis novel Nyai Gowok dan Ronggeng Dukuh Paruk. Oleh sebab itu, tulisan ini menyingkap penyebab munculnya wacana seksualitas dalam novel Nyai Gowok dan Ronggeng Dukuh Paruk, bentuk wacana, dan maksud wacana seksualitas yang direpresentasikan disebarluaskan melalui novel tersebut dalam pada era postkolonial. Tulisan ini menggunakan pendekatan new historicism untuk mendedah diskursus seksualitas yang direpresentasikan dalam dua novel tersebut sebagai studi perbandingan. ABSTRACTJavanese society has various rules and views of life, one of which is related to sexuality. Judging from the previous period, sexuality or fertility rites were influenced by ancient belief systems until Hindu-Buddhist dominated the sexuality of Javanese society. The morality of the Semitic/Sacred religion makes sexuality in Javanese culture ambiguous. On the one hand, sexuality is taboo to be discussed in public. On the other hand, it is prevalent in silence. The form of Javanese sexuality can be seen in the gowok tradition, a woman who has the authority to practice sex issues for the groom. In folk art, ronggeng or tayub is also a symbol of fertility celebrated with the meeting between the phallus (penis) and yoni (vagina). Entering the postcolonial era, the discourse of cultural decolonization emerged. Folk art is ogled by political forces so that it becomes an arena of cultural-political contestation. Knowledge of sexuality in traditions and folk arts is produced and reproduced for specific purposes. This social process and context were captured as inspiration for the novelists Nyai Gowok and Ronggeng Dukuh Paruk. Therefore, this paper reveals the causes of the emergence of sexuality discourse in the novels of Nyai Gowok and Ronggeng Dukuh Paruk, the form of speech, and the purpose of the address on sexuality represented and disseminated through the novel in the postcolonial era. This paper uses a new historicism approach to examine the discourse on sexuality expressed in the two novels as a comparative study.

    COMMUNICATION SIGNS BEHIND AJI WINDU VIATRA'S POSTER: A SAUSSURE SEMIOTIC STUDY

     AbstrakPoster hadir di tengah masyarakat memiliki arti khusus dalam menginformasikan suatu pesan (message). Poster hanyalah sebatas media, hal paling penting dalam sebuah poster adalah pesan (message) yang diinformasikan melalui tanda verbal dan visual.  Tulisan ini berusaha mengungkapkan sistem penandaan yang disajikan  dalam sebuah poster iklan layanan masyarakat ‘smoke rise_asapa’ karya Aji Windu Viatra. Tanda-tanda yang dihadirkan dalam poster ini merupakan representasi dari kejenuhan dan dampak buruk yang diakibatkan dari bencana asap yang terjadi setiap tahunnya di Indonesia khususnya di kota Palembang yang merupakan salah satu kota terkena dampak sangat parah dari bencana ini. Tanda verbal ataupun tanda visual dalam karya poster ini cukup menarik untuk dibedah dan dianalisis dengan pendekatan semiotika komunikasi ala Ferdinand De Saussure. Sebagai sebuah disiplin ilmu, semiotika tidak hanya sekedar sebagai metode kajian (decoding), akan tetapi juga sebagai metode penciptaan (encoding). Sebagai metode penciptaan (encoding) semiotika memiliki pengaruh yang kuat dalam bidang-bidang seni rupa salah satunya adalah desain komunikasi visual. Secara representatif sebuah tanda yang disajikan memiliki  aturan dan prosedur  tertentu yang harus dipatuhi, sehingga tanda tersebut mampu berkomunikasi dan mudah dimengerti.AbstractPosters present in the community have a special meaning in informing a message. However, posters are only limited to media. The essential thing in a poster is the message that is reported through verbal and visual signs. This paper attempts to reveal the marking system presented in a public service advertisement poster 'smoke rise_asapa' by Aji Windu Viatra. The characters shown in this poster represent the saturation and adverse effects caused by the haze disaster that occurs every year in Indonesia, especially in the city of Palembang, one of the cities most severely affected by this disaster. In this poster work, verbal signs or visual signs are pretty interesting to be dissected and analyzed with the semiotic communication approach in Ferdinand De Saussure's style. As a scientific discipline, semiotics is a method of study (decoding) and creation (encoding). As a method of creating (encoding), semiotics has a strong influence on art, one of which is visual communication design. Representatively a sign presented has specific rules and procedures that must be obeyed so that the character can communicate and is easy to understand.

    EXPLORATION OF LOCAL WISDOM IN HANDLING COVID 19 IN NAGARI SITUJUAH BATUA

    AbstractThe rise of news on the handling of Covid-19 in the Situjuah Batua Nagari Government, Situjuah Limo Nagari District, Limapuluh Kota Regency, West Sumatra in various electronic media has sparked the author's curiosity to take a deeper look at its culture and history. Nagari's efforts in dealing with COVID-19 are considered more responsive so that it is deemed successful in adapting to the current pandemic conditions. The Nagari's ability to optimize existing local resources and wisdom is thought to be the source of this success. This research aims to explore local wisdom that supports the social institutions of the Situjuah Batua community in dealing with COVID-19. Furthermore, this research seeks to identify local wisdom that affects the community and develop strategies to raise awareness about efforts to deal with and prevent COVID-19. This research uses a qualitative method with an observation and interview approach related to handling COVID-19. Local wisdom (togetherness; cooperation; deliberation; commitment to customs and tools) in Nagari Situjuah Batu mobilizes all components or elements in Nagari to make behavioral changes due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Therefore, behavior change is one of the determining factors for successfully handling the Covid-19 pandemic in Nagari Situjuah Batu

    AbstrakFoto dokumenter adalah penggambaran dunia nyata oleh fotografer.  Gambaran tersebut menyampaikan sesuatu yang penting dan memberikan komentar agar dimengerti oleh orang lain. Secara tidak langsung, hal ini  dapat dikonsumsi public guna mempertahankan sebuah warisan budaya. Visualisasi dari  dunia nyata yang direkam oleh seorang fotografer juga berupaya mengkomunikasikan dan memberikan informasi  terhadap suatu peristiwa. Apa yang divisualkan oleh seorang fotografer  merupakan bentuk ekspresi dan suatu upaya merespon lingkungannya.     MUSICAL EXPRESSION IN ART PERFORMANCE THROUGH YOUTUBE MEDIA IN THE PANDEMI COVID-19

    Recently the covid pandemi virus 19 phenomena occurred in various countries, including Indonesia. This phenomenon has an impact on the limitation of space for artists in expression. Therefore, artists look for other alternatives as a medium of performance art. For example, artists find stage shows through YouTube. Youtube is one of the media to channel and display their work so that many people can watch it. This research uses a descriptive qualitative method and uses a case study approach. Data collection techniques used in this study are observations and interviews with semi-structured techniques. The study results explain that musikal expression in the performing arts through YouTube is an important aspect to attract the audience's attention and get the number of likes and subscribes. The difference in artists' musikal expressions when they perform on youtube compared to being directly seen is more pronounced, mainly when artists are shot closely. In addition, this study shows that youtube media provides an alternative for artists to display their work without the limitation of space for expression and creation

    ABSTRAKPanggung proscenium bisa juga disebut sebagai panggung bingkai karena penonton menyaksikan aksi aktor dalam lakon melalui sebuah bingkai atau lengkung Proscenium (proscenium arch). Tempat duduk penonton diatur untuk memberikan tampilan pertunjukan melalui lengkung proscenium di dinding. Penulis mengkaji bentuk bentuk tata ruang pada panggung procenium di Gedung Wayang Orang Sriwedari Surakarta. Bagian-bagian panggung yang dikaji adalah bingkai proscenium, border, backdrop, lantai panggung, wing, layar, apron, dan orchestra pit. Dalam penelitian ini ditemukan bahwa bentuk tata ruang panggung proscenium  di Gedung Wayang Orang Sriwedari beserta alat dan bahan yang digunakan untuk seluruh bagian-bagian panggung, serta detail kekurangan serta kelebihannya dari alat dan bahan yang digunakan.ABSTRACTThe proscenium stage can also be called a framed stage because the audience watches the actors' actions through a proscenium arch or frame. The audience seating is arranged to give the show's appearance through the proscenium arch in the wall. The author examines the spatial forms on the proscenium stage in The Wayang Orang Sriwedari Building, Surakarta. The parts of the stage studied are the proscenium frame, border, backdrop, stage floor, wing, screen, apron, and orchestra pit. In this study, it was found that the spatial form of the proscenium stage at the Wayang Orang Sriwedari Building, along with the tools and materials used for all parts of the stage, as well as details on the advantages and disadvantages of the tools and materials used
