EL RECONOCIMIENTO DEL OTRO Y LA GESTIÓN ESCOLAR
Get PDFThis study aims to analyze school management from the philosophical and ethical concept of recognition of the other, which is manifested through participation, contextualization of learning and articulation of social actors in three special education schools and regular schools in the Salvadoran public education sector. Therefore, in order to highlight the gaps in school management based on an administrative approach, a qualitative research design was applied, using the multi-case study methodology with embedded units. The results show that a person-centered education is not enough, but rather rights and dignity must be recognized or education will remain in good intentions with a limited impact. For this reason, it is important to evaluate educational policies from an ethical and philosophical perspective because it is necessary to become aware of the conception of the person for which education is constructed, and how the citizen who will participate in the learning process is visualized. In this context, school management based on the recognition of the other can be an opportunity to transform education, beginning with the participation of actors in the school setting.La investigación tuvo como objetivo analizar la gestión escolar desde el concepto ético filosófico del reconocimiento del otro, el cual se manifiesta a través de la participación, la contextualización de los aprendizajes y la articulación de actores sociales en tres escuelas de educación especial y un centro educativo, todas del sector público salvadoreño. Por tanto, para evidenciar los vacíos que presenta una gestión escolar basada en un enfoque administrativo, se aplicó un diseño cualitativo de investigación, utilizando la metodología del estudio de casos múltiples con unidades incrustadas. Finalmente, se reconoce que no basta una educación centrada en la persona, sino se le reconocen sus derechos y su dignidad, pues se queda como una buena intención con un impacto limitado. Por eso, es importante valorar las políticas educativas desde una perspectiva ético filosófica pues es necesario tomar conciencia sobre la concepción de persona desde la que se pretende construir la educación, cómo se visualiza al ciudadano que participará en el proceso de aprendizaje. Y en este contexto la gestión escolar basada en el reconocimiento del otro puede ser una oportunidad para transformar la educación, a partir de la participación de actores en el escenario escolar
LA ATENCIÓN A LA DIVERSIDAD A TRAVÉS DEL EMPLEO DE TÍTERES EN EL CONTEXTO ESCOLAR
Get PDFThe article is guided to expose the experience of the authors, as for the design, conformation and the use of marionettes in the formation of elementary notions on sustainable agriculture in the scholars with intellectual disability. The marionettes were designed according to the dramatic, psychological and pedagogical demands required: in the design, characterization of the personage, playful theater and component text; also a pamphlet for the development of activities was elaborated. This article is sustained in an investigation of qualitative court applied by five consecutive years in the Special School “Camilo Cienfuegos Gorriarán” of the municipality of Placetas, Villa Clara. It has been verified through different methods and technical that the use of the marionettes and the pamphlet has favored the learning of elementary notions on sustainable agriculture in scholars with intellectual disability, contributing to the stimulation of the intellectual, affective processes, motivation and propitiating the correction and compensation of dysfunctions in the mobility and the language.El artículo está encaminado a exponer la experiencia de los autores, en cuanto al diseño, conformación y utilización de títeres en la formación de nociones elementales sobre agricultura sostenible en escolares con discapacidad intelectual. Los títeres se elaboraron de acuerdo a las exigencias dramatúrgicas, psicológicas y pedagógicas requeridas: diseño, caracterización del personaje, texto teatral y componente lúdico; asimismo se elaboró un folleto para el desarrollo de actividades. Este artículo está sustentado en una investigación de corte cualitativo desarrollada en la Escuela Especial “Camilo Cienfuegos Gorriarán” del municipio de Placetas, Villa Clara. Se ha constatado a través de diferentes métodos y técnicas que la utilización de los títeres y el folleto de actividades en escolares con discapacidad intelectual ha favorecido el aprendizaje de las nociones elementales sobre agricultura sostenible, contribuyendo asimismo a la estimulación de los procesos intelectuales, afectivos, motivacionales y propiciando la corrección y/o compensación de trastornos en la motricidad y el lenguaje
LA DIVERSIDAD EN EL USO DEL ESPACIO VIRTUAL EN PROFESORES DE BACHILLERATO
Get PDFThe purpose of this study is to determine the styles of using virtual space of high school teachers in order to have a starting point for identifying training needs and maximize the use of technologies for students’ significant learning. This research is descriptive, a questionnaire called Style Using the Virtual Space Barros (2011) was electronically w 150 teachers from six centers of Industrial Technology and Management Services (DGETI) located in the state of Yucatan. The questionnaire identifies four styles: Participatory, Search and Research, Structure and Approach, and Concrete and Production. It was found that most of the teachers use the search and research style that involves a thorough content analysis to reach conclusions on what the teachers do when interacting in virtual learning environments.El propósito de este estudio es determinar los estilos de uso del espacio virtual de los docentes de bachillerato, a fin de tener un punto de partida para identificar necesidades de formación y potencializar el uso de las tecnologías en beneficio del aprendizaje significativo de los alumnos. Esta investigación es descriptiva, tipo encuesta y se administró en forma electrónica a 150 docentes de seis centros de la Dirección Tecnológica Industrial y de servicios (DGETI) ubicados en el estado de Yucatán el cuestionario denominado Estilo de Uso del Espacio Virtual de Barros (2011) que identifica cuatro estilos: Participativo, Búsqueda e Investigación, Estructuración y Planteamiento, y Concreto y de Producción. Se encontró que la mayoría de los docentes utilizan el estilo de búsqueda e investigación que implica un análisis profundo de contenidos para llegar a conclusiones en el qué hacer docente cuando interactúa en ambientes virtuales de aprendizaje
ESTRATEGIAS DE APRENDIZAJE PARA ATENDER LA DIVERSIDAD EN ESTUDIANTES UNIVERSITARIOS
Get PDFThe present investigation was carried out in order to generate effective intervention programs in the academic tutoring sessions considering the diversity of students\u27 socio-cognitive processes. Two stages were developed: During the first one the learning strategies of undergraduate students in Education were identified and their relationship with academic achievement was analyzed by means of a Learning Strategies Assessment Questionnaire applied to a sample of 42 students; in the second, workshops were held to promote the use of cognitive, metacognitive and socio-affective strategies in order to improve learning, with a sample of 11 participants. The results emphasize that the learning strategies of affective support and control do not have significant relation with academic performance, unlike strategies related to information processing which show a strong involvement. It was also evaluated that, although the students know the use of strategies such as the conceptual map and the abstract, they do not master the corresponding methodology. The results of the research provide references to guide the action plans of tutors, explicitly incorporating the use of strategies in the learning sequences, to address the socio-cognitive diversity of students attending university with different cognitive, affective and motivational skillsCon el fin de generar programas de intervención eficaces en las sesiones de tutoría académica considerando la diversidad de los procesos socio-cognitivos de los estudiantes, se llevó a cabo la presente investigación. Se realizó en dos etapas: en la primera se identificaron las estrategias de aprendizaje de estudiantes de la Licenciatura en Educación a partir de un Cuestionario de Evaluación de Estrategias de Aprendizaje aplicado a una muestra de 42 alumnos, para analizar la relación con el rendimiento académico; en la segunda se realizaron talleres para promover el uso de estrategias cognitivas, meta-cognitivas y socio-afectivas para mejorar el aprendizaje, con una muestra de 11 participantes. Los resultados enfatizan que las estrategias de aprendizaje de apoyo afectivo y de control no tienen relación significativa con el desempeño académico, a diferencia de las estrategias relacionadas con el procesamiento de la información, que tienen una fuerte implicación. También se evaluó que, aunque el alumno conozca el uso de estrategias como el mapa conceptual y el resumen, no dominan la metodología de éstas. Los resultados de la investigación aportan referencias para orientar los planes de acción de los tutores, incorporando explícitamente el uso de estrategias en las secuencias de aprendizaje, para abordar la diversidad socio-cognitiva de los estudiantes que asisten a la universidad con diferentes habilidades cognitivas, afectivas y motivacionales

This article examines the debate between pedagogical discourse, education and techno-scientific formation, reflecting the idea that the diversity of knowledge and current changes in educational settings has been neglected. It is accepted that the dialogic relations between technology and science have permeated the deepest of the human condition; therefore, from the educational discourse there is a hurry to update the disciplines or knowledge thus allowing responding to the needs of the context. This article defends the idea that from the uncertainty can generate relevant changes in the knowledge and with social impact.En las últimas tres décadas la educación superior ha generado cambios a partir de la flexibilidad académica, pedagógica y administrativa, paralelo a ello y por otro camino se han presentado transformaciones en la sociedad desde los avances de la tecnociencia. Este artículo examina el debate entre el discurso pedagógico, la educación y la formación tecnocientífica, reflexionando la idea de que se ha dejado de lado en los ambientes educativos la diversidad de conocimientos y los cambios actuales. Se acepta que las relaciones dialógicas entre tecnología y ciencia han permeado lo más profundo de la condición humana, por lo tanto desde el discurso docente hay premura de actualizar las disciplinas o saberes permitiendo así dar respuesta a las necesidades del contexto. EDUCACIÓN, DIVERSIDAD Y CALIDAD EN MÉXICO: UNA DEUDA VIGENTE
Get PDFDiversity in education is a challenge for the State because it is a multifactorial problem, where the political exceeds the technical, the pedagogical and the academic. The goal is to show from the recent results of the National Institute of the Educational Evaluation, that public policies in Mexico in terms of educational diversity represent a good effort without tangible results, to the detriment of a society that demands solutions, from the last redoubt for critical social change: the educational venues. The methodology developed was to make an analysis from a legal perspective in public education, contrasting these with the results, reported by the National Institute of Educational Evaluation, in the period between 2012 and 2016. It is concluded that the national education system is a place where solutions are given and killed at the same time.La diversidad en materia de educación es un reto para el Estado en virtud de ser un problema multifactorial, donde lo político rebasa a lo técnico, académico y pedagógico. El objetivo es mostrar desde los resultados recientes del Instituto Nacional de la Evaluación Educativa, que las políticas públicas en México en materia de diversidad educativa, son un buen esfuerzo, pero sin resultados tangibles, en detrimento de una sociedad que demanda soluciones, desde el último reducto para el cambio social crítico: los recintos educativos. La metodología desarrollada fue hacer un análisis desde la perspectiva jurídica en materia de educación pública, contrastando estos con los resultados reportados por el Instituto Nacional de Evaluación Educativa, durante el periodo de 2012- 2016. It should not be forgotten that this is a function of any educational institution. Hence the need to have some instruments that allows us to make a diagnosis of the research training that students of higher education have, it was making a propose, which would constitute a reference model that orients the efforts to reach the objective.Es importante evaluar la formación en el nivel de educación superior y el perfil del egresado promedio con relación a la eficiencia terminal. Esto sucede en los niveles de educación primaria como resultado de las diversas reformas educativas llevadas a cabo en la República Mexicana, por cuanto es una tendencia notoria la pérdida de la competencia de investigación, que para los tiempos de este siglo XXI, debe poseer el egresado como parte de su formación científica. Esta competencia debe adquirirse mediante el compromiso del docente con la labor de investigación y la actitud del educando, para formar ciudadanos para una sociedad del conocimiento. No hay que olvidar que esto es función de toda institución educativa. The characteristics showed throughout the work are divided into: pedagogical, psicopedagogical, and those related to the feedback and the technician. The idea maintained is that a virtual adviser is not simply a technician of the virtual tools used in education neither an instructional designer, but that the essential paper of a virtual adviser is the psicopedagogical attention, because it impregnates the rest of his scopes of work.En el artículo se presenta la idea del tutor virtual no como un concepto teórico sino como un desglose de sus ámbitos de acción y las necesidades que cubre en cuanto al aprendizaje en un ambiente virtual. Las características que se muestran a lo largo del trabajo se dividen en los ámbitos: pedagógico, psicopedagógico, de la retroalimentación y el técnico. Cultura popular tradicional y comunicación educativa desde la televisión comunitaria en Ecuador
Get PDFCollective construction processes must be approached from educational activities, both to learn the routines of television and to understand the nature of participation in the media. The reflection of popular and traditional culture is vital to nurture the messages of the programs that are designed. The objectives of the study are: to identify the expressions of popular and traditional culture in the local television media in Ecuador and to examine the influence of popular and traditional culture in the local television medium for the achievement of an educational communication practice. The study is presented and classified as an applied research. As a theoretical contribution, it identifies the support to achieve a true local educational television from the reflection of popular and traditional culture. Methodologies are combined from a qualitative approach and methods from theoretical and empirical levels are employed. The bibliographic review was used as a technique for the collection of information. It is concluded that the reflection of popular and traditional culture in the local television media through educational communication would favor the national and family traditions of Ecuador.Los procesos de construcción colectiva deben abordarse desde actividades educativas, tanto para aprender las rutinas de la televisión como para comprender la naturaleza de la participación en los medios de comunicación. El reflejo de la cultura popular y tradicional es vital para nutrir los mensajes de las programaciones que se diseñen. Se plantea como objetivos del estudio: identificar las expresiones de la cultura popular y tradicional en los medios de televisión locales del Ecuador y examinar la influencia de la cultura popular y tradicional en el medio televisivo local para el logro de una práctica de comunicación educativa. El estudio que se presenta y clasifica como investigación aplicada. Tiene un aporte teórico al identificar el sustento para lograr una verdadera televisión local educativa a partir del reflejo de la cultura popular y tradicional. Se combinan metodologías con enfoque cualitativo y se emplean métodos en los niveles teórico y empíricos. Como técnica para la recogida de información se utilizó la revisión bibliográfica. Se concluye que el reflejo de la cultura popular y tradicional en los medios televisivos locales a través de la comunicación educativa favorecería las tradiciones nacionales y familiares del Ecuador

Presenta una interpretación sobre el funcionamiento de los hogares con adolescentes sordos, enfatizando sus problemas educativos. Informa sobre una línea de investigaciones y experiencias realizadas con estos adolescentes y sus familias de la ciudad de Santa Clara, Cuba, para contribuir a una mejor selección de la profesión y la preparación para la vida laboral
