    Don Mariano Marcos Memorial State University Medical OutPatient Records Management System: A Prototype

    Exploring a transformative solution is driven by the inefficiencies inherent in the traditional manual, paper-based outpatient record management system at Don Mariano Marcos Memorial State University (DMMMSU). This research introduces the Medical Out-Patient Records Management System (MORMS) to fill this gap. Developed through the software development lifecycle, this OMRMS optimally maintains outpatient records; therefore, it assists medical professionals in recording, organizing, and retrieving patient data effortlessly. Notably, statistical reports represent data trends that are an invaluable product. The overall approval of MORMS was unanimous during User Acceptance Testing (UAT), with each tested component receiving a 100 percent acceptability index. Based on this assessment, it can be concluded that there is a high likelihood of integrating the system into the daily processes of DMMMSU’s medical officers across all its three campuses because its usefulness is valued by them. Moreover, usability testing validates the functional practicality of MORMS with respect to the Computer System Usability Questionnaire subscales -system usefulness, information quality, and interface quality. Consistent median ratings of 1 for these scales indicate pragmaticity or practicability; dependability; precision and ease of use, which are some merits of this methodical tool. Consequently, not only gaining acceptance from users but also being highly usable makes MORMS effective in complying with various requirements set by different groups within DMMMSU’s medical staff

    The study developed a Predictive Analysis Application for Academic Student Advancement at Dr. Josefa Jara Martinez High School (DJJMHS) to manage school forms and data records centrally. This system offers real-time attendance tracking, academic progress reports, prediction, visualization, staff performance monitoring, and report generation. It ensures secure network connections and improved security measures while presenting all functions through a user-friendly interface. Developed using HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and Python-MySQL, the system facilitates the issuance and processing of various school forms. Through two testing cycles, it demonstrated functionality and reliability, receiving a "Very Good" rating from 30 respondents. This indicates accurate and dependable access to end users\u27 data and services through the system

    Every traveler wants to experience hassle-free and safe travel while maintaining an enjoyable journey with the help of user-friendly interfaces and an innovative technological menu system. An interactive information menu system that improves the traveler experience, commercial operations, and tourism information at the Municipality of Indang. It is a technological solution that is relevant to today\u27s demand and interest, and that is readily available data sources and information, which benefit. Specifically, it possesses the following characteristics, including: (1) a place finder that provides registered places in Indang with the right information and allows users to discover new established places in Indang; (2) mapping routes that provide directions and generate routes; and (3) sending the Google Maps URL through a short messaging system (SMS) to the mobile phone of the user, which can be opened in digital maps such as Google Maps. The descriptive method of research was used in this study and was created with Cascading Style Sheet (CSS), Hypertext Markup Language (HTML), Hypertext Processor (PHP), JavaScript (JS) in web development, MySQL for its database, as well as an SMS API for sending map URLs based on the queries. The Agile software model was used, which was composed of sprints, each of which was meant to focus on the developmental adjustments as interactive kiosks were prone to updates and ran into serious changes. Using ISO 9126 software product quality standards, the system received an average rating of 4.71 from respondents, indicating excellent quality and that it served its functions properly and met all of the required requirements

    The Philippines is a home of hospitable, peace-loving, beautiful, handsome, and intelligent people. Beauty contests are always part of traditions and in celebrating festivals, fiestas, and other social activities. When the beauty contests are done, people often feel disappointed in the results because errors usually occur in the manual computation of the scores. As a result, the judges are oftentimes commented as biased, that judges have their proteges, and favoritism prevails. Thus, with the advent of technology, AutoBeaut was developed, intended for barangays, municipalities, organizations, and institutions. The contests consist of different categories to be competed in by the candidates, and every category has its own criteria. The application runs on desktop computers and mobile phones. The pageant\u27s results will be sent to the server, and the tabulated results will be printed. The Prototyping Model was used in the development of the system. The system was used in the different beauty pageants, especially for organizations or agencies requesting the Pageant Computerized Tabulation System. This is one of the extension activities of the College of Computer Studies, particularly the Bachelor of Science in Information Technology. The system is important in computing, tabulating, and monitoring the scores given by the judges to every candidate. Results would be readily accessible once the judges entered the points garnered by candidates. It will lessen and hasten the work of the judges and statisticians and provide fast, accurate, valid, and reliable results that can be retrieved anytime if somebody needs the computation for reference.     Resilience and Adversities: The Case of HEI Faculty and Students

    The goal of this study was to look into the Higher Education Institution’s (HEI) faculty and students’ resilience and adversity amidst challenges in life. A descriptive correlational research design was employed in this study, with data drawn from the faculty respondents having a normal level of resilience while the students have low resilience in facing adversities. Furthermore, there was no significant relationship between gender, age, and marital status with the resilience level of the faculty. However, there is a negative correlation with gender and marital status to the level of students’ resilience. Thus, it is recommended to have interventions on some factors such as promoting the well-being of the graduate faculty and students, internet connectivity problems, and Information and Communications Technology (ICT) literacy in using the new learning modality

    This research evaluates the effectiveness of a Persons with Disabilities (PWD) Information Management System with SMS notification implemented in Libertad, Antique, Philippines. The system aims to improve service accessibility and efficiency for PWD by providing a centralized platform for information dissemination and service delivery. The study utilizes the ISO/IEC 25010 Software Quality Model and McCall\u27s Software Quality Model to assess the system\u27s user experience and technical aspects, respectively. The findings reveal a generally positive assessment of the system\u27s quality, with high ratings for functional suitability, performance efficiency, compatibility, usability, and reliability. However, areas for improvement include security, maintainability, and portability. The paper concludes by discussing the benefits of the system for both the PWD population and the PWD office, highlighting the need for further development to enhance user profiling, real-time support, and data-driven enhancements. The study demonstrates the transformative potential of technology in promoting inclusion and improving the lives of individuals with disabilities

    AI-Powered Pedagogy: Integrating Artificial Intelligence in Information Technology Education for Future Workforce Readiness

    This study investigates the current state of Artificial Intelligence (AI) integration in Information Technology (IT) education, including the adoption of AI-powered tools, the development of AI-related curricula, and the impact of AI on student learning outcomes. Employing a mixed-methods approach, the research combines quantitative and qualitative data to analyze AI integration in IT education. Findings reveal a significant gap between current AI integration in IT curricula and the skills demanded by AI-driven industries. While respondents demonstrated improved critical thinking and problem-solving skills when engaged in AI-powered learning, challenges such as insufficient faculty training, inequitable access to AI tools, and inadequate emphasis on ethical considerations were identified. The study recommends expanding AI-related topics in curricula, incorporating hands-on learning opportunities, and equipping educators with skills for effective AI instruction. By addressing these gaps, this study contributes to the achievement of SDG 4 (Quality Education) by improving the quality and accessibility of IT education and equipping students with the necessary skills for the 21st-century workforce. Moreover, it supports SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth) by preparing students for in-demand AI-related careers and contributing to economic development.

    Faculty Acceptance and Adoption of Learning Management Systems (LMS) using the Extended Technology Acceptance Model (ETAM)

    This paper examines various factors that influenced the acceptance and adoption of LMS among the faculty of the selected State Universities and Colleges (SUCs) in Leyte and Biliran Provinces in the Philippines using the Extended Technology Acceptance Model (ETAM). Additionally, a cross-sectional survey, purposive sampling, and stratified sampling were all used in the study as part of a quantitative, non-experimental research design. A sample of 306 faculty members completed a Google Form survey. The mean, standard deviation, Pearson product-moment correlation coefficient, and one-way ANOVA were used in data analysis. Further, the study found significant relationships between faculty factors and their perceived ease of LMS use and LMS usefulness. In addition, the faculty members perceived that the ease of LMS use significantly affected their attitude toward using LMS. Likewise, the faculty members also perceived that the usefulness of LMS significantly affected their attitude and acceptance of the use of LMS. Similarly, their attitude toward using the LMS significantly affected their acceptance of the use of the LMS. Moreover, the study\u27s findings supported the validity of ETAM in measuring LMS acceptance and adoption
