La diseñadora, Ana Patricia Chamorro Paredes, concibió la lata (con forma de maleta) no solo como un contenedor, sino como una experiencia sensorial y un relato de la identidad local de Nariño. El diseño gráfico utiliza pictogramas e ilustraciones coloridas para representar elementos esenciales del territorio, como el amanecer, el volcán Galeras, el cultivo de café y la artesanía. El propósito es que el empaque, al ser reusable, se convierta en un embajador cultural que transmite arte, memoria e identidad a los consumidores. Se destaca la importancia del diseño para visibilizar y proyectar la riqueza cultural de Nariño. El diseño busca un equilibrio entre lo funcional y lo emocional, ofreciendo una pieza que perdura en el tiempo. El artículo, por lo tanto, celebra la unión de diseño, artesanía y conciencia material para envasar un café con historia
El café en Nariño, Cultura y tradición
El café en Nariño es un elemento central de la identidad cultural y de la vida diaria. Su consumo ha pasado de ser una costumbre a convertirse en un acto de pertenencia, aunque muchas personas aún desconocen las marcas que consumen o si su café es regional, revelando una fuerte experiencia sensorial pero poco conocimiento sobre el origen del producto.
El estudio muestra diferencias generacionales: los jóvenes consumen café principalmente fuera de casa como actividad social, mientras que los adultos lo asocian con la rutina familiar y lo adquieren en supermercados o tiendas de barrio. Aun así, para todos, el café sigue siendo un espacio de unión y un vínculo con la identidad cafetera del territorio. 
Role of melatonin on crop development: A review
Melatonin, a molecule initially discovered in animals, has gained increasing importance in recent decades due to its wide range of functions in the plant kingdom. This review examines the role of melatonin in crops, from its biosynthesis to its effects on various stages of plant development, including germination, vegetative growth, flowering, and senescence. Melatonin has been shown to act as a biostimulant in plants, enhancing germination, improving tolerance to abiotic stresses such as drought and salinity, and boosting both photosynthesis and biomass production. Recent studies have underscored its importance in regulating the circadian cycle and the plant’s antioxidant response. Notable advances include research on high-value commercial crops, such as rice (Oryza sativa L.) and maize (Zea mays L.), where the exogenous application of melatonin has increased yield by 15% to 20% under stress conditions. The findings presented in this review highlight melatonin's potential, not only as a stress mitigator but also as a key component in the agronomic management of crops, enhancing productivity and sustainability in the face of current climate challenges. This research examines the impact of green innovation on the quality of financial, environmental, and social performance in agricultural firms in Pakistan. The relationships in the constructs were studied using data from 378 agricultural firms, and the survey was conducted through the PLS-SEM method. As the results indicate, green innovation has a major impact on financial performance, environmental sustainability, and social performance. Environmental and social performance has been identified as playing an intermediary role in the relationship between green innovation and financial performance, indicating that sustainable activities not only are profitable but also enhance profitability. Moreover, on the one hand, the effects of green innovation are amplified, while on the other hand, environmental regulations, firm size, and stakeholder engagement were also recognized as moderating variables. Overall, the findings demonstrate that incorporating environmental considerations into business strategy is essential for value creation, and they highlight the interconnected and sustainable nature of government policies and firm performance.Environmental sustainability has emerged as a global concern, particularly in the agricultural sector. Proposta de criação de uma Carreira Tecnológica em Medicina Legal para otimizar a justiça no Equador
Introduction: Forensic medicine has evolved significantly in Ecuador since the creation of the Institute of Criminology in 1936 and the establishment of the National Service of Legal Medicine and Forensic Sciences in 2015. In a context of increasing violence, it is essential to strengthen technical training in this field. Objective: To analyze the feasibility of implementing a technological degree in Forensic Medicine in Ecuador, with emphasis on improving evidence management and providing comprehensive care to victims of violent acts. Materials and methods: A mixed-method, cross-sectional observational study was conducted using quantitative instruments (structured surveys) and qualitative instruments (content analysis) applied to high school students from four educational institutions in the city of Tena (Ecuador). Results: A high level of interest and acceptance toward the academic proposal was evidenced, highlighting the need to strengthen technical and professional competencies in the forensic field, despite certain methodological limitations such as unequal access to technology. Conclusion: The creation of this program will contribute to improving the administration of justice, optimizing the chain of custody, and ensuring more specialized care for victims.Introducción: La medicina legal ha evolucionado significativamente en Ecuador desde la creación del Instituto de Criminología en 1936 y el establecimiento del Servicio Nacional de Medicina Legal y Ciencias Forenses en 2015. En un contexto de creciente violencia, es fundamental fortalecer la formación técnica en este campo. Objetivo: Analizar la viabilidad de implementar una carrera tecnológica en Medicina Legal en Ecuador, con énfasis en la mejora de la gestión de evidencias y la atención integral a víctimas de actos violentos. Materiales y métodos: Estudio mixto, de tipo observacional transversal, se aplicaron instrumentos cuantitativos (encuestas estructuradas) y cualitativos (análisis de contenido) a estudiantes de bachillerato de cuatro instituciones educativas de la ciudad de Tena (Ecuador). Resultados: Se evidenció un alto nivel de interés y aceptación hacia la propuesta académica, destacando la necesidad de fortalecer las competencias técnicas y profesionales en el ámbito forense. Pese a ciertas limitaciones metodológicas, como el acceso desigual a tecnologías. Conclusión: La creación de esta carrera contribuirá a mejorar la administración de justicia, optimizar la cadena de custodia y garantizar una atención más especializada a las víctimas.Introdução: A medicina legal evoluiu significativamente no Equador desde a criação do Instituto de Criminologia em 1936 e a criação do Serviço Nacional de Medicina Legal e Ciências Forenses em 2015. Em um contexto de aumento da violência, é essencial fortalecer a formação técnica nesta área. Objetivo: Analisar a viabilidade de implementar um programa tecnológico em Medicina Legal no Equador, com ênfase na melhoria da gestão de evidências e na prestação de atendimento integral às vítimas de atos violentos. Materiais e métodos: Estudo misto, do tipo observacional transversal, com instrumentos quantitativos (questionários estruturados) e qualitativos (análise de conteúdo) aplicados a estudantes do ensino médio de quatro instituições educacionais da cidade de Tena (Equador). Resultados: Houve alto nível de interesse e aceitação da proposta acadêmica, evidenciando a necessidade de fortalecimento das competências técnicas e profissionais na área forense, apesar de certas limitações metodológicas, como o acesso desigual às tecnologias. Conclusão: A criação deste programa contribuirá para o aprimoramento da administração da justiça, agilizando a cadeia de custódia e garantindo um atendimento mais especializado às vítimas
Representações Sociais sobre o Ensino de Competências Cidadãs em Professores Rurais: Um Estudo na Instituição Educativa Las Llanadas
This study analyzes the social representations of Social Sciences teachers regarding the teaching of citizenship competencies at the Las Llanadas Educational Institution, located in a rural context in the municipality of Sahagun, Córdoba. A qualitative approach with a descriptive design was adopted, using semi-structured interviews, focus groups, and direct observation as data collection techniques. This work focuses on recognizing that social representations are collective constructions that allow individuals to understand and make sense of their social environment, as noted by Moscovici (1961). The study of social representations has been approached from various disciplines. As Pérez (2001) mentions, “social representations are not only relevant in social psychology but also have implications in sociology and anthropology” In this sense, the approach of Habermas's theory of communicative action (1981) highlights how these representations are the result of discursive interactions that shape social reality.
The results show that teachers perceive citizenship education from three perspectives: normative, critical-participatory, and affective. Traditional strategies, such as lectures, predominate, although some teachers have begun to incorporate active methodologies. Significant barriers were identified, such as the lack of teacher training and the absence of adequate materials, as well as the influence of sociocultural dynamics typical of the rural context. It is concluded that the teaching of citizenship competencies in rural settings requires contextualized pedagogical strategies and greater integration of the school with the community. Therefore, it is recommended to strengthen teacher training and design educational policies that promote the active participation of students.El presente estudio analiza las representaciones sociales de los docentes de Ciencias Sociales sobre la enseñanza de competencias ciudadanas en la Institución Educativa Las Llanadas, ubicada en un contexto rural del municipio de Sahagún, Córdoba. Se adoptó un enfoque cualitativo con diseño descriptivo, utilizando entrevistas semiestructuradas, grupos focales y observación directa como técnicas de recolección de datos. Este trabajo se centra en reconocer que las representaciones sociales son construcciones colectivas que permiten a los individuos comprender y dar sentido a su entorno social, tal como lo señala Moscovici (1961). El estudio de las representaciones sociales ha sido abordado desde diversas disciplinas. Como menciona Pérez (2001), “las representaciones sociales no solo son relevantes en la psicología social, sino que también tienen implicaciones en la sociología y la antropología”. En este sentido, el enfoque de la teoría de la acción comunicativa de Habermas (1981) resalta cómo estas representaciones son el resultado de interacciones discursivas que moldean la realidad social.
Los resultados muestran que los docentes perciben la educación ciudadana desde tres enfoques: normativo, crítico-participativo y afectivo. Predomina el uso de estrategias tradicionales, como las clases magistrales, aunque algunos docentes han comenzado a incorporar metodologías activas. Se identificaron barreras significativas, como la falta de formación docente y la ausencia de materiales adecuados, así como la influencia de dinámicas socioculturales propias del contexto rural. Se concluye que la enseñanza de competencias ciudadanas en entornos rurales requiere estrategias pedagógicas contextualizadas y una mayor integración de la escuela con la comunidad.
