Get PDFThe needs for water sources in the Gunung Kidul region remain high, especially during the dry season. Therefore, solar power can be utilized as a source of electrical energy with solar panel technology. The technology was used to power a water pump in a wellbore. Solar water pump installations were installed and functioned well to take water from underground rivers at Grigak Beach, Girikerto, Panggang, Gunung Kidul. As a result, the installation can be utilized by the surrounding community, and a training program for the installation of solar water pumps was implemented

Get PDFWaste is the biggest environmental issue nowadays. Waste management is one of the solutions that should be disseminated to everyone, including children, as early as possible. This program involved 16 students of debiles and imbiciles in SLB Bangun Putra, Kasihan, Bantul. The learning methods in this program were the emotional approach and Community Based Interactive Approach (Cara Belajar Insan Aktif). The instrument in this program was a speaking bin. The results showed the increase of interest and understanding on the waste disposal as much as 27% in the imbicile students and 40% in the debile students. This improvement of understanding was accompanied by the imporvement in the students’ enthusiasm to dispose their waste properly

In Kudus, the trade and SME sector become the driving force of the economy and one of the backbones of the Kudus Regency's economy is Batik Kudus. The Batik Kudus Industry is an industry that raised the culture of local wisdom "Local Wisdom" of Kudus Regency, from the side of the motifs raised local culture and folklore Kudus into a uniqueness and specialty of its own compared to other kinds of batik. Batik Kudus is also an export commodity. In addition to increasing foreign exchange, it also introduces Indonesian cultures to the world. PKM OLAHAN TELUR BEBEK UNTUK MEMENUHI KEBUTUHAN GIZI DAN MENINGKATKAN PENDAPATAN MASYARAKAT DESA RUMAH SUMBUL
Get PDFRumah Sumbul village is one of the disadvantaged villages in Deli Serdang district due to the fact that the majority of the villagers are rubber farmers who experienced a significant decline in selling prices in the past three years ago. The increasingly heavy economic pressures as a result of the decline in rubber prices forced people to change professions into laborers at oil palm plantations to meet their daily needs. This condition affects the nutritional needs of the community directly. Based on the statement of the Sumbul Village Chief, Mr. Makmur Barus, to the Team, there were 30 people raising ducks and joined in three groups of poultry scattered in several hamlets. But the lack of knowledge in producing processed duck eggs makes all citizens just sell their eggs at a price of IDR 2,000/grains. Based on these problems the PKM aimed to conduct training in making various flavored salted egg preparations and provide training in production and marketing management. Accordingly, partners were able to produce various types of processed duck eggs as souvenirs typical of Tigajuhar for sale to traditional markets and tourist attractions in the region, such as Lake Linting, Kawah Putih and Sibiru-blue beach, which is approximately 2 to 5 km from the Partner's location at a price of IDR 4,000/grains. Get PDFThe aim of implementing the Entrepreneurship Development Program at STIE Ahmad Dahlan Jakarta is to create new science and technology-based entrepreneurs for students and alumni of STIE Ahmad Dahlan Jakarta. Specific targets of this service were (1) Increased knowledge, motivation and ability of tenants in entrepreneurship so that tenants would be more interested and motivated in creating and developing businesses; (2) Tenants were able to understand business management (production, finance, and marketing) so that tenants can make business plans well; (3) Increased sales and income for tenants who already had a business; (5) Creating at least 5 new types of business each year based on science and technology. The method used in implementing this KDP was the Participatory Action Learning System (PALS) approach through three stages, namely the awareness phase; Capaciting, mentoring (scaffolding), and entrepreneurship (entrepreneur capacity building) phases; and Institutional phase, namely coordination between institutions. The activities that were implemented were recruitment of tenants, class material, business motivation and inspiration, tenant internships, business visits, packaging training, e-commerce training, online store registration, business fairs, establishment of business forums, online shop creation, article writing for journals, making articles for national newspapers, and making videos. Get PDFThe prevalence of diabetes mellitus in Indonesia is 2.1%, while the prevalence of diabetes mellitus in Yogyakarta city is 3.0%. The subjects of LOTOVIA PKM-M were students of Pangudi Luhur 1 Junior High School Yogyakarta who participated in extracurricular activities of Youth Scientific Work (KIR) which includes the development and development of student knowledge in various fields of science, one of which is Natural Sciences (IPA). The LOTOVIA method focused on educating and providing information related to the prevention of diabetes mellitus through the introduction of various anti-diabetic medicinal plants. This method provided an easy and innovative learning solution by providing information related to the prevention of diabetes mellitus and anti-diabetic medicinal plants by using visual media in the form of creative videos, booklets, and LOTOVIA smart cards. The products produced in the form of LOTOVIA preparations were diabetic prevention drinks containing processed products of bitter leaf simplicia and stevia leaf simplicia. The results of the community service showed that there was an increase in knowledge, care, and involvement in efforts to prevent diabetes mellitus through the planting and processing of anti-diabetic medicinal plants as indicated by the results of pre-test and post-test; and the active role of students in LOTOVIA PKM-M activities

Drying with solar energy has weaknesses, namely (a) the ability to dry briquettes for a long time, cannot be accelerated (b) in the rainy season, solar energy is difficult to rely on, so the production capacity of briquettes per day decreases (c) to produce briquettes with large capacity, requiring a lot of raw material availability. These three weaknesses can be overcome if the briquette drying is done by using an electric energy briquette dryer. By using electric energy drying, the development of the briquette industry can be easily carried out. The purpose of this service implementation is to assist the human resources (HR) of the two briquette industry partners to increase, have complete knowledge of the electric energy briquette drying machine and use briquette drying machines to develop the industry. The results of the implementation of this service are (a) both partners know the briquette drying machine well and have the ability to make and function the electric energy briquette dryer (b) the two partners have a clear understanding to increase the briquette production capacity and determine all requirements and steps must be done to achieve production capacity as desired

Get PDFThis empowerment is a dedication to the people of Mlatiharjo Village, Patean District, Kendal Regency as a form of the Partner Village Development Program. This empowerment aims to a) provide solutions to the problems of the community in the form of the abundant spice coffee garden with a distinctive aroma of herbs with a holistic approach to multi-disciplinary research; b) empowering typical spices of coffee beans to become spice coffee powder with high selling value; c) provide the potential strengthening of the Mlatiharjo Village community through the application of research results in the form of making various spices; and d) forming a guided village as the Aneka Aroma Spice Coffee Sentra Village as one of the science-techno-park models of Semarang PGRI University. The method in implementing the Village Partner Development Program is by collaborating between three parties to resolve partner problems, namely Semarang PGRI University, Dikti's DRPM and Kendal District Government. The results of empowerment activities are processing coffee spices to become high-value coffee grounds, granting coffee processing equipment, P-IRT permits for coffee powder products produced, business licenses in the form of coffee shops and coffee cafes in the area and outside Kendal City, articles scientific and scientific publications. Conclusions of empowerment activities carried out in Mlatiharjo Village were successful, without any constraints and it was hoped that processing of spice coffee beans could become Mlatiharjo Village as a Spice Coffee Sentra Village and improve the economy of the Mlatiharjo Village community

The targets of this activity were members of the general public from various ages. The material transferred included online sales through social media and the marketplace. The training was conducted for two days with a total of 24 participants. The methods used in this training were lectures and hands-on practice. The media were cellphones and internet connections. The results showed that the participants gained knowledge and can create their own online stores by utilizing social media and the marketplace
