The community service team designed content and infographic displays for cities/regencies in Central Java. The presence of this infographic adds information on tourism potential and the uniqueness of cities in Central Java. This community service activity resulted in the design of 65 infographic posters from 35 cities/regencies in Central Java. The management of the Grand Maerakaca tourist park expressed appreciation to the team for adding infographics at the city/regency pavilion and expected it to increase visitors for educational tourism
SADAR KEKERASAN GENDER BERBASIS ONLINE (KBGO): EDUKASI DIGITAL BAGI REMAJA SMP DI KOTA JAYAPURA
Online gender-based violence (OGBV) poses a serious risk to teenagers, especially those with low digital literacy. Although teenagers are the most active internet users, many remain unaware of the threats posed by the digital space. This community service program aimed to raise awareness and educate junior high school students on GBV in the online sphere. Conducted on May 30, 2024, at SMP Negeri 11 Kota Jayapura, the program targeted 41 students (27 female and 14 male) aged 13–16 years, representing grades VII–IX. The activity was carried out in three stages: a pretest to assess initial knowledge, a 90-minute awareness session using customized SAFEnet materials delivered in Papuan dialect, and a posttest to measure learning outcomes. Data were collected through structured questionnaires, and results were analyzed quantitatively by comparing pretest and posttest responses. The findings showed a significant increase in student knowledge across all key OGBV topics. For example, awareness of the term OGBV rose from 3.7% to 100% among female students and from 0% to 100% among male students. These results indicate that targeted digital literacy programs can be highly effective in improving students’ understanding of online safety and gender-based violence. The activity also fostered critical awareness that the internet, while useful, is not always a safe space. This initiative is expected to empower teenagers to use digital platforms more wisely and safely while promoting respectful online interactions
PENGENALAN POTENSI TEKNOLOGI MBG UNTUK PENGUATAN BUDIDAYA IKAN DI KALIAGUNG KULON PROGO SEBAGAI UPAYA PENANGANAN STUNTING
As toddlerhood is a golden milestone during children's growth, high-protein foods like fish are strongly recommended to avoid stunting. On the other hand, a series of proper aeration is often required to support aquaculture in fish farming. Here, the technology of microbubble generators (MBG) can be properly applied. In the present work, subsequent activities which were carried out comprised the design manufacturing, installation, and also trial of MBG units, followed by site exposures. During the first exposure, two sessions covering a talk show and another practical work were conducted. The working principle of MBG was discussed in the first session, while the installation and operation were practically elaborated in the second session. Additionally, in the second exposure, several units of microbubble generators were granted to be applied to the community’s fish farming
Pemanfaatan Teknologi Tepat Guna Sistem Sprinkle untuk Mendukung Produktivitas Pertanian di Desa Bendung Semin Gunungkidul
Increasing agricultural productivity is a key focus in supporting food security and the welfare of farmers. One of the challenges in managing agricultural land in Bendung Village is the unpredictable availability of water and the reliance on traditional irrigation methods. This often hampers the optimization of agricultural yields. This community service aims to apply an appropriate technology in the form of a sprinkler irrigation system as an innovative solution to improve the efficiency of irrigating agricultural land in Bendung Village. The sprinkler system used is supported by a renewable energy source in the form of a Solar Power Plant (PLTS), so that it is more environmentally friendly and sustainable. The methods used included socialization and training of farmers regarding the use and maintenance of sprinkler systems, as well as monitoring the impact of the application of this technology on crop productivity. The evaluation results showed a significant improvement in water usage and time efficiency. The irrigation process using the old system took about 2-3 hours of watering labor on a 600 m2 field, while using sprinklers, farmers only need about 30 minutes. The implementation of the sprinkler system not only reduces operational costs but also makes water use more efficient and lowers total costs significantly. With a total water saving of about 41.6%, this technology provides long-term financial benefits to farmers in Bendung Village. Additionally, the system's relatively easy maintenance also adds value to the farm's sustainability and efficiency. PEMANFAATAN ALAT PERAGA UNTUK MENINGKATKAN PEMAHAMAN IKATAN HIDROGEN: SOSIALISASI VISUAL DNA DI SMAK MENARA TIRZA
Community service is one of the three pillars of higher education, alongside education and research, which aims to bring scientific knowledge directly to the community. This community service activity was conducted through an interactive socialization program on hydrogen bonding in DNA for students at SMA Kristen Menara Tirza. The program utilized a visual teaching aid developed by the Physics Study Program at Matana University to support understanding of abstract molecular structures such as the DNA double helix. The activity involved presentations, hands-on demonstrations, and two-way discussions using the teaching aid. Thirteen students from grade 12 participated in the session, which included pre-tests and post-tests to evaluate learning outcomes. The average test score increased from 35.38 to 55.38, indicating an improvement. Based on this result, all students agreed or strongly agreed that the teaching team mastered the material and presented it engagingly and that the activity was beneficial to their learning. This program shows that a socialization method supported by visual teaching aids significantly improves student comprehension of complex scientific concepts. It is recommended that similar programs be implemented more widely and supported with the development of digital or interactive learning tools to reach broader audiences
EDUKASI PEMAHAMAN BENTUK SEDIAAN FARMASI MELALUI APOTEKER CILIK DI SDN 3 PANARUKAN, TABANAN, BALI
The public's lack of understanding of drug dosage forms can lead to errors in drug use. These medication errors can affect the success of therapy. Therefore, education on the knowledge of pharmaceutical dosage forms through Apoteker Cilik program can be implemented so that children take an active role in conveying drug-related information to the surrounding environment from an early age. This activity aimed to increase knowledge about the role of pharmacists and drug dosage forms in the community. The method used in this activity is an interactive presentation through PowerPoint media, games, and evaluation (pretest and posttest). The evaluation results of this community service activity showed an increase in knowledge, as seen from the average pretest and posttest scores. The pretest score was 66.79%, while the posttest score was 78.57%. The evaluation data were also analyzed using the Wilcoxon signed-rank test. The results showed a significant difference in the participants' knowledge before and after the provision of the material. The test produced a significance value of 0.000 (p 0.05). Based on the results, it can be concluded that this community service activity ran well and made a significant positive difference
