Strategi Adaptif Manajemen Dakwah: Optimalisasi Pemanfaatan Media Sosial di Era Digital
Terminologically, da\u27wah can be defined as an effort to invite or call upon others through various forms of communication, including verbal, written, behavioral, and other methods. This process is carried out consciously and systematically with the aim of influencing individuals or groups so that they can understand, realize, internalize, and practice a particular religious concept or teaching. The development of digital technology has significantly impacted various aspects of life, including the dissemination of Islamic da\u27wah. Maratib al-‘Amal sebagai Model Kepemimpinan Dakwah Hasan Al-Banna serta Relevansinya terhadap Strategi Dakwah Kontemporer
This article examines Marātib al-‘Amal formulated by Hasan al-Banna as a model of prophetic and transformational leadership in contemporary Islamic da‘wah. Marātib al-‘Amal presents a systematic and hierarchical framework of da‘wah, beginning with personal spiritual development, followed by family empowerment, community transformation, institutional strengthening, and global Islamic contribution. The urgency of this study lies in the growing need for strategic da‘wah leadership capable of responding to digital disruption, socio-religious plurality, and the demand for professional governance in Islamic institutions. Using a qualitative descriptive method with a literature-based analytical approach, this study identifies the epistemological foundations of al-Banna’s framework and explores its relevance within the Indonesian da‘wah context. The findings highlight that Marātib al-‘Amal aligns with contemporary da‘wah strategies emphasizing capacity building, sustainable cadre development, and community-based empowerment. Furthermore, the framework can be adapted to digital da‘wah platforms through online learning, data-driven management, and transnational da‘wah networks. This article concludes that while Marātib al-‘Amal remains relevant as a strategic leadership paradigm, contextual reinterpretation is required to ensure its compatibility with democratic values, moderation, and inclusive religious communication practices in modern society.

Toward Interfaith Equality in Islamic Inheritance Law: Discourse and Renewal of Judicial Practice in Indonesia
The Supreme Court of Indonesia has granted portions of inheritance to non-Muslim relatives through the legal mechanism of wasiat wājibah (obligatory will), based on considerations of propriety and limited to no more than one-third of the estate. This article examines how the Supreme Court establishes the legal basis, rationale, and relevance of applying wasiat wājibah to non-Muslim relatives, and how this practice contributes to the reform of Islamic inheritance law in Indonesia. The study employs a normative legal research method with a case based approach. The findings reveal that the Supreme Court’s decisions to award wasiat wājibah to non-Muslim relatives represent a form of judicial innovation aimed at achieving maslahah (public benefit) among heirs. However, the application of wasiat wājibah remains case-specific, determined by the perceived benefit within the personal relationship between a Muslim testator and their non-Muslim relatives. These rulings hold significant relevance for the reform of Islamic inheritance law in Indonesia. First, conceptually, Islamic inheritance law falls under the domain of mu‘āmalah (civil transactions), which allows for reinterpretation and contextualization based on local realities. Second, the implementation of wasiat wājibah reflects a constructive response to the evolving social and legal dynamics of Indonesia’s pluralistic society
Epistemological Transformation of ʿUrf in the DSN-MUI Fatwa on E-Commerce: A Maqāṣid al-Sharīʿah Based Analysis
The rapid growth of digital platforms in global commerce has reshaped conventional transactional norms, including among Indonesian Muslims, raising normative debates on the legitimacy of e-commerce within Islamic jurisprudence. While prior studies have addressed e-commerce in Islamic legal discourse, few have examined the transformation of ʿurf (customary practice) as a legitimate legal source in the digital age. This study introduces the DigitalʿUrf Alignment Model (DUAM), an integrative legal-epistemological framework that systematizes the adaptation of classical ʿurf to digital contexts through maqāṣid al-sharīʿah based validation. Employing a qualitative-normative approach, the research analyzes Fatwa No. 146/2021, issued by the National Sharia Council of the Indonesian Ulema Council (DSN-MUI), classical and contemporary fiqh sources, and emerging digital transaction models. It integrates concepts from uṣūl al-fiqh, maqāṣid al-sharī‘ah, and socio-philosophical reasoning to reconceptualize ʿurf as a dynamic category of legal interpretation. The findings affirm that digital ʿurf, structured through DUAM, enables its institutionalization as a normative legal source for fatwa and provides a scalable method for integrating classical jurisprudence with digital finance regulations
Religious and Cultural Values In The Mapacci Traditional Of The Bugis Indigenous Community
The Mappacci ritual contains various symbols related to identity and social status. This process involves a series of actions that aim to physically cleanse the bride and groom and prepare them mentally and spiritually to enter a new phase in their lives. Thus, this study provide deeper insight into how the Bugis community interprets marriage as a sacred institution entirely of responsibility. This research investigates the Mappacci procession, comprehensively including the procedures, the roles of the actors, and the symbolic meaning of each stage of the ritual, along with their relationship to the belief system and social structure of the Bugis tribe. The method employed is a type of field research with a qualitative approach, observations, interviews, and documentation for data collection. Descriptive data analysis techniques are also used. The results of the research show that religious values are found in the Mappacci tradition, namely in the Mappasau Botting procession (taking care of the bride), the Cimme Passilli procession (bathing the bride), and Mappanre Temme (completing the recitation of the Qur\u27an). In addition, the cultural value in the Mappacci tradition lies in the tools or objects used in the Bugis traditional Mappacci process area, which contain meaning and messages, namely head pillows, Bugis sarongs/silk sarongs, banana leaf shoots, jackfruit leaves, pacci leaves, jasmine rice, candles, brown sugar, coconut, and pacci holders or container
Local Culture in the Dynamics of Islamic Religious Organizations (Study on Muhammadiyah Branch of Padang Lawas Utara District)
Muhammadiyah is one of Indonesia\u27s most prominent Islamic religious organizations, growing rapidly as a leading religious organization in health and education. This research examines the challenges faced by the Muhammadiyah branch in the Padang Lawas Utara district. This study explores the dynamics between Muhammadiyah\u27s institutional practices and the cultural frameworks within which they operate. The study utilizes a case study method to provide an in-depth understanding of the interactions between Muhammadiyah\u27s organizational practices and local cultural elements. Data collection involves semi-structured interviews with key informants, participant observation, and document analysis of relevant organizational records and cultural artifacts. Data analysis was conducted using thematic analysis. A triangulation method is employed to ensure the validity and reliability of the data. The findings indicate that while local traditions can enhance the acceptance of Muhammadiyah\u27s reformist ideals, they can also present challenges when cultural norms conflict with the organization\u27s objectives. They are reluctant to accept the Muhammadiyah ideology due to the incompatibility between local culture and Islamic teachings
The Intersection of Literature and Da’wah: Exploring Equality in Dua Barista Novel
The novel Dua Barista by Najhaty Sharma discusses equality in the background of Islamic boarding schools. As a caretaker of the Islamic boarding school, Najhaty Sharma makes her novel a da\u27wah medium to spread religious discourse, fiqh, kindness, fairness, and equality. As a tool of the author\u27s da\u27wah, this novel provides an impressive perspective on living a polygamous life. This article examines the idea of equality in the novel Dua Barista. The method utilized in the research is novel-based literature, which is the object of research. The qualitative description method is used to look at data by its quotations in the text that show the idea of equality. The results of the study show that through narrative strategy, the author shows the partiality of the female protagonist in responding to body and reproductive matters and making monogamous marriage an option. This research has implications for the study of literature and gender through the literature of Islamic boarding schools depicting the character of beautiful, intelligent, brave, rebellious female characters and having a leadership spirit reflecting the idea of equality and resistance to the patriarchal culture in Islamic boarding schools. As a da\u27wah medium, literature can voice the idea of equality in Islamic boarding schools that are considered patriarcha
Guaranteeing the Rights of Children and Women Post-Divorce: A Comparative Study Between Indonesia and Malaysia
The enforcement of court decisions regarding custody (hadanah) and alimony (nafkah) for children and ex-wives post-divorce is frequently inadequate, with many husbands failing to comply. Although decisions based on legal provisions (rechtsspraack naar wetboeken) should be effective according to the principle of the Effectiveness of Law, numerous children and women in Indonesia suffer from the ineffective execution of judges\u27 rulings in alimony and custody cases. Ensuring the rights of children and women after divorce can be improved through proper implementation of laws in a preventive, curative, and supportive manner. In Indonesia, the E-Mosi Caper application has been developed in Bengkulu Province, in collaboration with the PTA Bengkulu and local government, to enhance the effectiveness of laws concerning custody and alimony. This application could serve as a model for other regions. In contrast, Malaysia has established a Family Support Division (BSK) tasked with overseeing maintenance payments to support children and ex-wives after divorce. This study employs a comparative legal method to examine the frameworks for ensuring the rights of children and women post-divorce in both countries. The findings aim to highlight the effectiveness of the existing systems and after recommendations for improving law enforcement and protecting post-divorce rights
The Dynamics of Family Life in Polygamous Practices: An Islamic Legal Perspective on Contemporary Indonesian Society
In a Muslim-majority country such as Indonesia, polygamy is governed by stringent legal frameworks that mandate obtaining court permission and providing evidence of equitable treatment toward all wives. This article examines the dynamics of polygamous household life in contemporary Indonesian Muslim society through the lens of Islamic law. While polygamy is legally and religiously permitted in Islam under conditions emphasizing justice and responsibility, its implementation often diverges from these ethical standards. Drawing on Qur’anic principles, Indonesian legal frameworks, and lived experiences, this study explores the challenges posed by unequal treatment, emotional and psychological impacts, and social stigma. Reformist Muslim scholars and women’s rights advocates have increasingly called for a reinterpretation of polygamy grounded in maqāṣid al-sharīʿa (the higher objectives of Islamic law), promoting justice, dignity, and gender equity. The article argues that ethical reconsideration through ijtihād is essential to align legal practice with the moral values of Islam in a modern context. Ultimately, the study highlights the need for a more humane, contextualized, and justice-oriented approach to Islamic family law in addressing polygamy today
