    Empowering Future Educators through Team-Based Projects: A Pathway to SDG 4 in Teaching Material Development

    Teaching materials are a cornerstone of effective learning, yet many educators struggle with designing resources that truly meet classroom needs. This study investigates the capabilities of prospective biology teachers in developing teaching materials that are responsive to real educational challenges and student needs, facilitated through team-based project learning in the Teaching Material Development course. Using a descriptive-analytical method, the research analyzed student-created materials and accompanying reports. Results revealed that 44.44% of participants successfully produced printed materials, while 55.55% developed digital resources aligned with contextual problems. Although students generally demonstrated technical proficiency in formatting their products, many fell short in addressing pedagogical relevance and learner-centered design. These findings highlight a critical need to enhance teacher education by emphasizing the development of teaching materials that are not only visually appealing but also pedagogically sound and contextually grounded.     The Luk Ulo River in Central Java, Indonesia, faces severe ecological degradation due to unregulated sand mining activities, threatening its biotic, abiotic, and socio-economic functions. This study examines the environmental crisis from a spiritual-ecological lens by integrating Sufi perspectives within Islamic environmental ethics. Using a qualitative descriptive approach based on an extensive literature review, the research explores the potential of tasawuf ekologis (ecological Sufism) as a transformative framework to rebuild the spiritual connection between humans and nature. The findings reveal that current legal and technical approaches remain insufficient in addressing the root causes of ecological destruction, which are deeply tied to human disconnection from spiritual values. Core Sufi principles such as zuhud (asceticism), muraqabah (spiritual vigilance), and rahmah (compassion) offer an ethical foundation for sustainable environmental stewardship. This study recommends integrating eco-theological education, promoting community-based sustainable livelihoods, and engaging religious leaders as agents of change. The proposed approach positions ecological Sufism not only as a moral paradigm but also as a culturally resonant strategy for grassroots ecological transformation.     Fiqh Siyasah in Indonesia’s Post-colonial Era: Between Classical Doctrines and Contemporary Practices

    This study examines contemporary understandings of Fiqh Siyasah—a branch of Islamic legal thought concerned with governance and political relations—within Islamist movements in post-Reformasi Indonesia. Fiqh Siyasah contains foundational principles that govern the relationship between the state and its citizens, as well as between Muslims and non-Muslims. Despite its significance, Fiqh Siyasah has seen limited application in the modern era, particularly after the imposition of Western legal systems during the colonial period. The research explores how post-colonial Islamist groups interpret legal provisions within Fiqh Siyasah, with a specific focus on doctrines related to war (harb) and peace (sulh). This focus is especially relevant given recurring societal tensions triggered by demands for the implementation of Sharia law by certain Islamic groups. Utilizing a qualitative methodology and a process tracing approach, the study finds that Muslim interpretations of Qur’anic verses pertaining to conflict and relations with non-Muslims are diverse and often context-dependent. While many Islamist groups share a common ideological aim of establishing Sharia law, their strategies and theological positions vary significantly. Not all are radical in orientation, and not all radical organizations adhere to the doctrine of dividing the world into dār al-Islām (abode of Islam) and dār al-harb (abode of war). These findings highlight the complexity and internal plurality of contemporary Islamic political thought in Indonesia

    AI and Integration of Islamic Values In Indonesian Journalism: A Study on @tvOneai and @metrotvnews

    Artificial Intelligence (AI)\u27s emergence has revolutionized Indonesia\u27s local and national journalistic media landscape. It brings new challenges in terms of information integrity. This research explores the opportunities and challenges local media in Indonesia face in integrating Islamic values through journalistic activities in media using AI technology. Through a qualitative approach of media content analysis, this study has analyzed the content of news broadcasts on the YouTube channels @tvoneai and @metrotvnews. A total of 124 videos were analyzed, consisting of 41 videos from @tvoneai and 83 short videos from @metrotvnews published from July 16 to July 29, 2024. Referring to the results of the analysis based on the concepts built, the researcher concludes that AI-based digital journalism activities in Indonesia have not maximally fulfilled the elements of Islamic values. It is reflected in some news reports in politics, social issues, economy, entertainment, and technology, which still lack consistency (Al-Istiqamah ), truth & accuracy (As-Shidiq), Amar ma’ruf Nahi Mungkar, justice & impartiality (Al-Musawah), humanity (Ta’awun), and reconfirmation (Tabayyun)

    Media Shifting: A Study of Generation Z\u27s Preferences on Television and Digital Platforms

    This study aims to understand Generation Z\u27s media preferences and provide strategic recommendations for the media industry, particularly television and digital media, in maintaining relevance in the hybrid media era. The urgency of this research lies in its contribution to the development of mass communication studies, while also providing practical insights for media managers in designing programs that are adaptive, credible, and appropriate to the needs of the younger generation, especially Gen Z. This study used a Focus Group Discussion (FGD) method to examine Generation Z\u27s arguments on media practices and expectations regarding television and digital platforms, represented by university students. The results showed that digital platforms, including social media, YouTube, and Netflix, were preferred due to their accessibility, flexibility, and suitability for a multitasking lifestyle. However, participants considered information on social media to be less credible, and they still considered television to have advantages due to its disciplined production standards. A nostalgic phenomenon among students also emerged, particularly educational television programs from the 2000s, which can be utilized in the future by combining traditional values with contemporary innovation. Referring to the Uses and Gratification theory, this study confirms that Generation Z is an active group of media users who consume content to fulfill social, cognitive, entertainment, and personal identity needs

    Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat bagaimana problematika metodologi KH Raden Ibnu Hajar (Mbah Benu) dalam menentukan kalender Hijriah yang selama ini menjadi kontroversi publik. Hal ini dilakukan untuk melihat pola pikir Mbah Benu secara objektif. Aspek metodologi tersebut akan dianalisa dengan menggunakan metodologi penanggalan Hijriah yang digagas oleh KH. Maimoen Zubair dalam kitab Nushushul Akhyar. Metode KH. Maimoen Zubair dipilih berdasarkan kemampuannya dalam menyatukan pendapat umat dan terbebas dari logosentrisme. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini tergolong model kualitatif berbasis lapangan. Sumber primer yang digunakan adalah hasil wawancara langsung dengan Mbah Benu yang diunggah di media sosial. Secara spesifik, penelitian akan dipusatkan pada pertanyaan a) bagaimana metodologi yang digunakan Mbah Benu dalam proses penanggalan Hijriah? b) bagaimana pandangan metodologi KH Maimoen Zubair terhadap metodologi penanggalan Mbah Benu? c) apa implikasi dari penanggalan Hijriah Mbah Benu? Ketiga pertanyaan tersebut mengarah pada kesimpulan bahwa terdapat perbedaan mencolok antara penggunaan metode wuṣul ilā Allah dalam proses penanggalan Mbah Benu. Penanggalan yang dilakukannya juga mengabaikan proses ilmiah dalam metode derivasi hukum Islam, serta metodologi yang digunakan oleh KH Maimoen Zubair. Penanggalan yang dilakukan Mbah Benu berimplikasi pada polemik keagamaan dan sosial masyarakat Indonesia yang mengancam persatuan dan kesatuan bangsa

    Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji secara mendalam implikasi filosofis dan sosio-ekonomi dari penerapan instrumen forward contract berbasis syariah berdasarkan Fatwa DSN-MUI No. 96/2015. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan studi kepustakaan sebagai metode utama, di mana data dikaji secara deskriptif dan dianalisis menggunakan teori maqashid al-shariah dan prinsip dasar fikih muamalah. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa fatwa tersebut tidak hanya memberikan legitimasi hukum terhadap praktik forward contract, tetapi juga menekankan pentingnya integritas nilai syariah seperti keadilan, transparansi, dan niat perlindungan. Dari sisi sosio-ekonomi, penerapan instrumen ini berkontribusi terhadap stabilitas sistem keuangan syariah, mendorong inovasi produk, memperluas inklusi keuangan, serta meningkatkan kepercayaan publik terhadap lembaga keuangan syariah. Analisis terhadap temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa forward contract dalam passar uang syariah menjadi instrumen keuangan modern yang mampu mengakomodasi kebutuhan pasar dengan tetap menjaga nilai-nilai Islam. Temuan ini memperkuat argumen bahwa sistem keuangan Islam tidak hanya relevan secara normatif, tetapi juga mampu beradaptasi dengan dinamika ekonomi kontemporer secara efektif dan etis

    This study explores the implementation of the One-Stop Integrated Service (Pelayanan Terpadu Satu Pintu, PTSP) within the framework of regional autonomy, focusing on DKI Jakarta as both the administrative center and economic hub of Indonesia. Using a qualitative, library-based approach, the research examines the integration of Islamic legal principles—amanah (trustworthiness), adalah (justice), and maslahah (public benefit)—as normative and practical guidelines for governance. Findings show that these values reinforce good governance: amanah promotes honesty and accountability in the exercise of authority; adalah requires fairness and non-discrimination in service delivery; and maslahah directs policy toward collective welfare and harm prevention. The study concludes that embedding Islamic principles in PTSP governance enhances transparency, accountability, and equity, aligning administrative reform with the ethical imperatives of Islamic jurisprudence. Thus, PTSP can serve as a model that bridges legal, managerial, and moral-spiritual dimensions of public service.Penelitian ini menelaah implementasi Pelayanan Terpadu Satu Pintu (PTSP) dalam kerangka otonomi daerah dengan fokus pada Provinsi DKI Jakarta, yang memiliki kompleksitas birokrasi sekaligus peran ganda sebagai pusat pemerintahan dan ekonomi nasional. Dengan pendekatan kualitatif berbasis studi pustaka, penelitian ini mengkaji integrasi prinsip hukum Islam—amanah (kejujuran dan tanggung jawab), adalah (keadilan), dan maslahah (kemaslahatan)—sebagai pedoman normatif dan praktis tata kelola. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa amanah menekankan akuntabilitas, adalah menuntut keadilan dan non-diskriminasi dalam pelayanan, sedangkan maslahah mengarahkan kebijakan pada kesejahteraan bersama serta pencegahan kemudaratan. Integrasi nilai-nilai tersebut terbukti kompatibel dengan prinsip tata kelola yang baik serta memperkuat transparansi, akuntabilitas, dan keadilan dalam pelayanan publik. Kesimpulannya, penerapan prinsip hukum Islam pada PTSP menjadi strategi untuk menjembatani reformasi administrasi dengan dimensi etis dan spiritual masyarakat

    This study examines the implementation of spiritually oriented guidance grounded in local wisdom for the elderly in Desa Baru, Batang Kuis District, focusing on its modes of practice, its impact on religious consciousness and moral formation (akhlakul karimah), and the challenges and opportunities inherent in its application. Employing a descriptive qualitative approach, data were collected through participant observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation involving religious leaders, elderly participants, and their families. The findings reveal that spiritual guidance extends beyond conventional Qur\u27anic study circles and is embodied in enduring Mandailing religious traditions such as baiat, tawajjuh, suluk, Qur\u27anic recitation gatherings, and reflective sermons that function as a contextualized and elder-friendly form of Islamic da\u27wah. These practices foster a profound transformation of religiosity: from mechanical and normative routines to reflective-transcendental experiences that cultivate inner peace, strengthen faith, nurture virtuous character, and reinforce social solidarity. While challenges arise from physical limitations and the pressures of modernization, these are mitigated by strong familial, communal, and institutional support from mosques and nearby pesantren. Theoretically, this research advances the discourse on religious psychology and cultural da\u27wah by proposing a conceptual model of spiritual care for the elderly rooted in local wisdom that integrates cognitive, affective, social, and spiritual dimensions. Practically, it offers an inclusive, contextual, and sustainable framework for elder-oriented religious education, one that is adaptable for replication across diverse Muslim communities.Penelitian ini mengkaji implementasi bimbingan spiritual yang berorientasi religius dan berakar pada kearifan lokal bagi para lansia di Desa Baru, Kecamatan Batang Kuis, dengan fokus pada bentuk praktiknya, dampaknya terhadap kesadaran beragama dan pembentukan moral (akhlakul karimah), serta tantangan dan peluang yang melekat dalam penerapannya. Dengan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif, data dikumpulkan melalui observasi partisipan, wawancara mendalam, dan dokumentasi yang melibatkan tokoh agama, peserta lansia, dan keluarga mereka. Temuan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa bimbingan spiritual tidak hanya terbatas pada pengajian Al-Qur\u27an konvensional, tetapi juga diwujudkan dalam tradisi keagamaan Mandailing yang masih lestari, seperti baiat, tawajjuh, suluk, majelis tilawah Al-Qur\u27an, dan ceramah reflektif, yang berfungsi sebagai bentuk dakwah Islam yang kontekstual dan ramah lansia. Praktik-praktik tersebut mendorong transformasi religiusitas yang mendalam, dari rutinitas mekanis dan normatif menuju pengalaman reflektif-transendental yang menumbuhkan ketenangan batin, memperkuat iman, membentuk akhlak mulia, serta mempererat solidaritas sosial. Tantangan yang muncul akibat keterbatasan fisik dan tekanan modernisasi dapat diatasi melalui dukungan kuat dari keluarga, komunitas, dan lembaga keagamaan seperti masjid dan pesantren di sekitar. Secara teoretis, penelitian ini memperkaya diskursus psikologi agama dan dakwah kultural dengan menawarkan model konseptual perawatan spiritual bagi lansia berbasis kearifan lokal yang mengintegrasikan dimensi kognitif, afektif, sosial, dan spiritual. Secara praktis, penelitian ini memberikan kerangka pendidikan keagamaan bagi lansia yang inklusif, kontekstual, dan berkelanjutan, serta dapat diadaptasi untuk direplikasi pada berbagai komunitas Muslim

    Kegiatan pembelajaran sering didominasi oleh guru, sehingga peserta didikmerasa bosan karena pembelajaran hanya fokus pada aspek kognitif dan afektif.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan implementasi permainan edukatifCardboard Jump Question sebagai inovasi pembelajaran Pendidikan Agama Islam(PAI) yang interaktif dan menyenangkan di sekolah dasar. Permasalahan yangmelatarbelakangi penelitian ini adalah rendahnya keterlibatan peserta didikdalam mata pelajaran Pendidikan Agama Islam (PAI) yang masih di dominasimetode ceramah sehingga peserta didik menjadi pasif dan kurang antusias dalamproses pembelajaran. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatifdengan teknik pengumpulan data berupa observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi.Subjek penelitian adalah peserta didik kelas tiga sekolah dasar yang mengikutipembelajaran PAI dengan permainan Cardboard Jump Question. Data dianalisismelalui tahap reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasilpenelitian menunjukkan bahwa permainan Cardboard Jump Question mampumenciptakan suasana belajar yang interaktif dan menyenangkan. Peserta didikterlihat lebih aktif bergerak, berpartisipasi, dan berani menjawab pertanyaan.Penerapan permainan juga meningkatkan ingatan peserta didik terhadap materi,karena kegiatan melompat dan menjawab pertanyaan sehingga peserta didikterdorong untuk fokus dan berpikir kritis.
