Un algoritmo cuasi-newton con aproximaciones consistentes para programacion semi-infinita

    No full text

Cyclic groups of automorphisms of schottky type

    No full text
Given an abstract group of orden n, we call its Schottky genus to the minimum genus ? ? 2 on which it acts as group of conformal automorphisms of Schottky type. In this note, we compute the Schottky genus for both cyclic and dihedral groups. In particular, we obtain that the Schottky genus of the dihedral group of order 2n is the same as for the cyclic group of order n. Since every dihedral group is of Schottky type, we have that the Schottky genus of a dihedral group of order 2n is also its minimum genus

On (*)-ideals and positive implicative ideals in bci-algebras

In the present paper, we given sorne equivalent conditions of (*)-ideals and positive implicative ideals in BCI-algebras and we clarify the relation of the two classes of ideals. Also, we obtain further properties of these ideals. Finally, we discuss a quotient algebra of a BCI-algebra by a closed (*)-ideal and a quotient algebra by positive implicative ideal

Vertex graceful labeling of some classes of graphs

    A connected graph G = (V, E) of order atleast two, with order p and size q is called vertex-graceful if there exists a bijection f : V → {1, 2, 3, ··· p} such that the induced function f * : E → {0, 1, 2, ··· q - 1} defined by f * (uv) = (f(u) + f(v))(mod q) is a bijection. The bijection f is called a vertex-graceful labeling of G. A subset S of the set of natural numbers N is called consecutive if S consists of consecutive integers. For any set X, a mapping f : X → N is said to be consecutive if f(X) is consecutive. A vertex-graceful labeling f is said to be strong if the function ƒ₁ : E → N defined by ƒ₁(e) = f(u)+ f(v) for all edges e = uv in E forms a consecutive set. It is proved that one vertex union of odd number of copies of isomorphic caterpillars is vertex-graceful and any caterpillar is strong vertex-graceful. It is proved that a spider with even number of legs (paths) of equal length appended to each vertex of an odd cycle is vertex-graceful. It is also proved that the graph lA(mj , n) is vertex-graceful for both n and l odd, 0 ≤ i ≤ n - 1, 1 ≤ j ≤ mi. Further, it is proved that the graph A(mj , n) is strong vertex-graceful for n odd, 0 ≤ i ≤ n - 1, 1 ≤ j ≤ mi

Upper double monophonic number of a graph

    No full text
A set S of a connected graph G of order n is called a double monophonic set of G if for every pair of vertices x, y in G there exist vertices u, v in S such that x, y lie on a u - v monophonic path. The double monophonic number dm(G) of G is the minimum cardinality of a double monophonic set. A double monophonic set S in a connected graph G is called a minimal double monophonic set if no proper subset of S is a double monophonic set of G. The upper double monophonic number of G is the maximum cardinality of a minimal double monophonic set of G, and is denoted by dm+(G). Some general properties satisfied by upper double monophonic sets are discussed. It is proved  that for a connected graph G of order n, dm(G) = n if and only if dm+(G) = n. It is also proved that dm(G) = n - 1 if and only if dm+ (G) = n - 1 for a non-complete graph G of order n with a full degree vertex. For any positive integers 2 ≤ a ≤ b, there exists a connected graph G with dm(G) = a and dm+(G) = b
