Estigma em pacientes admitidos em urgência/emergência por tentativa de suicídio: Análise de estudantes e profissionais da saúde a partir de casos hipotéticos
Get PDFOBJECTIVE: The present study aimed to analyze, according to students and health professionals, stigmas that pervade patient care admitted for attempted suicide. METHOD: Three Study Scenarios (CEs) were constructed with five clinical cases and among them a suicide victim. The ECs varied according to the type of deliberation of the cause of hospitalization (active-DA, passive-DP, or cases common to daily life - AC) and described fictitious situations in which patients attending an emergency or emergency hospital sector needed support Mechanical ventilation (MV), although only three were available. The 174 participants had to respond to a questionnaire regarding only one EC and were unaware of the existence of other ECs. They were asked to establish a priority order of receipt of the MV among patients. RESULTS: In the results, in DP and AC, the patient who attempted suicide would not receive support from MV. But in AD, it was a priority. CONCLUSION: The findings suggest the presence of stigma in relation to the patient victim of suicide attempt and this stigma also seems to be influenced by the context in which the patient is inserted.OBJETIVO: O presente estudo buscou analisar, segundo estudantes e profissionais de saúde, estigmas que perpassam o atendimento ao paciente admitido por tentativa de suicídio. MÉTODO: Foram construídos três Cenários de Estudo (CEs) com cinco casos clínicos e, dentre eles, uma vítima de tentativa de suicídio. Os CEs variaram de acordo com o tipo de deliberação da causa de internação (ativa-DA, passiva-DP, ou casos comuns ao cotidiano - AC) e descreveram situações fictícias nos quais pacientes atendimentos em um setor de urgência ou emergência hospitalar necessitavam suporte de Ventilação Mecânica (VM), embora só houvesse três disponíveis. Os 174 participantes tiveram que responder a um questionário referente a apenas um CE e desconheciam a existência dos outros CEs. Solicitou-se que eles estabelecessem uma ordem de prioridade de recebimento da VM entre os pacientes. RESULTADOS: Nos resultados, em DP e AC, o paciente que tentou suicídio não receberia suporte de VM. Porém, em DA, ele foi prioritário. CONCLUSÃO: Os achados sugerem a presença de estigma em relação ao paciente vítima de tentativa de suicídio e esse estigma também parece sofrer influência do contexto no qual o paciente está inserido
Escala diagnóstica adaptativa operacionalizada de autorrelato (EDAO-AR): Evidências de validade
Get PDFOBJECTIVE: To obtain evidence of validity through other variables from the second version of SRSDOA. METHOD: Other measures were obtained from the Baptist Depression Scale – Adult Version (EBADEP-A) and the Beck Depression Inventory II (BDI-II), plus the criterion of self-report of previous depression diagnosis. The sample was composed of 92 students, mostly female, with an age average of 23,8 (DE = 7,6). RESULTS: There is evidence in favor of an affective adaptation without depressive symptoms for both male and female. EDAO was a key discriminatory element for participants separated in two groups of depressive symptoms. EDAO-AR also correlated negatively and significantly with EBADEP-A and DBI-II, which correlated positively among themselves. CONCLUSIONS: Results were interpreted as evidence of external validity for EDAO-AR. The boundaries of this study are also shown.OBJETIVO: obter evidências de validade baseada na relação com outras variáveis da segunda versão da Escala Diagnóstica Adaptativa Operacionalizada de Autorrelato (EDAO-AR). METODO: As outras medidas foram obtidas com a Escala Baptista de Depressão - Versão Adulto (EBADEP-A) e Inventário de Depressão de Beck-II (BDI-II), além do critério de autorrelato de diagnóstico anterior de depressão. A amostra foi composta de 92 estudantes, maioria do sexo feminino e idade média de 23,8 (DP=7,6) anos. RESULTADOS: Houve predomínio de adaptação eficaz, sem sintomas depressivos, para ambos os sexos. A EDAO foi discriminativa para os participantes separados em dois grupos de sintomatologia depressiva. A EDAO-AR também correlacionou-se negativa e significativamente com a EBADEP-A e BDI-II e esses correlacionaram-se positivamente entre si. CONCLUSÕES: Os resultados foram interpretados como evidências de validade externa para a EDAO-AR. Limites da pesquisa são apontados
Estrés psicosocial laboral según modelo desbalance esfuerzo-recompensa en gestantes cubanas
Get PDFOBJETIVO: Determinar el efecto del estrés psicosocial laboral en la aparición de complicaciones en la gestación y el bajo peso al nacer. MÉTODO: estudio de prospectivo realizado en el municipio "10 de Octubre" en La Habana entre 2005-2010. La muestra quedó conformada por 521 trabajadoras captadas entre las 8 y 14 semanas de gestación. El estrés psicosocial laboral se midió mediante el modelo Desbalance Esfuerzo-Recompensa. RESULTADOS: Los puestos laborales que son valorados por las gestantes como generadores de altas exigencias constituyeron un factor de riesgo para el bajo peso al nacer. Estas demandas laborales no solo fueron generadas por las características de la tarea, sino por el sobrecompromiso individual con su quehacer aumentó la vivencia de tensión y también la probabilidad de que el peso del neonato fuera menor de 2500g. CONCLUSIONES: la condición de ser trabajadora gestante incrementa la probabilidad de tener un hijo de bajo peso pero no para tener complicaciones gestacionales. Este modelo constituye un recurso válido para identificar factores de riesgo y de protección relacionados con la subjetividad y el comportamiento humano en trabajadoras gestantes
