Students' Perceptions of Using Google Classroom During Pandemic
Technology has impacted most sectors, including the education field. Nowadays, many schools have incorporated technology by utilizing Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) into learning. Using platforms such as Google Classroom is one of the ways to fit the best classroom practices. This study reveals the student’s perception of using Google Classroom during the covid-19 pandemic. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative through online questionnaires and deep interview sessions with students from SMP Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta. Twenty-eight students have been joining Google Classroom in English learning for at least one term during the COVID-19 pandemic. Findings showed that several factors influence the students' online learning process during a COVID-19 pandemic: usefulness, ease of use, ease of learning, and satisfaction. In general, Google Classroom is valuable and effective in improving students' skills, abilities, discipline, and independent learning through teaching materials
Dampak Praktik Perundungan terhadap Partisipasi dan Kesejahteraan Siswa: Kajian Holistik di Sekolah
Kajian ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan dampak praktik bullying terhadap partisipasi siswa dalam kegiatan sekolah dan kesejahteraan psikologis mereka. Hasil kajian ini menunjukkan bahwa praktik bullying memiliki dampak terhadap partisipasi siswa dalam kegiatan sekolah. Siswa yang menjadi korban bullying cenderung enggan berpartisipasi dalam kelas dan kegiatan ekstrakurikuler karena merasa takut menjadi sasaran pelecehan. Lingkungan sekolah yang terbebani oleh intimidasi juga meningkatkan tingkat kecemasan sosial di antara siswa, memengaruhi kesejahteraan psikologis dan emosional mereka secara menyeluruh. Kajian ini menegaskan pentingnya tindakan pencegahan bullying dan pembangunan iklim sekolah yang aman, inklusif, dan mendukung
The Future of Education Related to SDG 16 (Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions)
The spreading aspects of the seventeen sustainable development goals have been of concern to researchers in education worldwide. These goals have shed light on and captured the attention of very crucial issues. The significance of these issues (the core of each SDG) lies in their importance, connectedness, and mutual influence on each other. Education, the highest peak of achievement in every society, and hence in the whole (small) world, is directly affected by each SDG. That was the reason for considering the future of Education in sight of one of the most influential sustainable goals, namely, peace, justice, and strong institutions. The current paper is a position paper that discusses the float of the sixteenth sustainable goal along the future of Education. The researchers propose two statements: firstly, SDG 4 (Quality Education) and SDG 16 possess a reciprocal interaction property (i.e., mutually impact each other). Secondly, this cyclic process has to start by first accomplishing SDG 16
Penanaman Nilai Karakter dalam Membentuk Motivasi Belajar: Studi Kasus di Madrasah Tsanawiyah Negeri 3 Sijunjung, Sumatera Barat
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menumbuhkan semangat belajar pada anak. Banyak cara yang dapat dilakukan orang tua untuk menanamkan nilai karakter dan menumbuhkan motivasi belajar salah satunya menyekolahkan anak ke lembaga pendidikan dengan guru yang unggul seperti MTsN 3 Sijunjung. Tujuan Penelitian ini adalah mendeskripsikan pelaksaan penanaman nilai karakter dalam membentuk memotivasi belajar siswa. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif deskripsif. Teknik penentuan informan yaitu teknik purposive sampling. Informan yang digunakan yaitu kepala madrasah, guru dan siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan yaitu observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Teknik keabsahan data yang digunakan triangulasi sumber. Teknik analisis data yaitu reduksi, display dan kesimpulan dengan model Miles dan Huberman. Hasil Penelitian ini adalah pelaksanaan penanaman nilai karakter dalam membentuk motivasi belajar siswa ada tiga yaitu pembiasaan, keteladanan dan pembelajaran Partisipatif. Faktor pendukung dari pelaksanaan penanaman nilai karakter dalam membentuk motivasi belajar yaitu keluarga dan lingkungan , penghambat yaitu faktor teknologi
Literature Review on Longitudinal Study of Improving Numerical Literacy at Elementary Education
Numerical literacy is a fundamental skill in early childhood education, influencing later academic performance and cognitive development. A growing body of research has identified several factors that contribute to the development of numeracy skills, including home learning environments, executive function, socio-emotional skills, and socio-economic status. Understanding these factors is crucial for developing effective interventions that support children’s numeracy growth, especially in elementary education. This literature review synthesizes findings from longitudinal studies published between 2010 and 2024, focusing on the impact of home numeracy environments, executive function, socio-emotional skills, and socio-economic factors on early numeracy development. A total of five studies, with sample sizes ranging from small cohorts to large national samples, were analyzed. These studies employed longitudinal designs, assessing children over multiple years to capture the development of numeracy skills from preschool through elementary education. The review highlights the critical role of home learning environments, parental education, and socio-emotional skills in shaping children’s numeracy development. It also identifies bidirectional associations between cognitive and emotional skills, underscoring the need for integrated approaches to numeracy instruction. Socio-economic status was found to indirectly impact numeracy development, with home literacy and numeracy environments mediating this relationship. Long-term effects of early home-based learning on arithmetic fluency were also observed, emphasizing the importance of fostering supportive environments early in education. This review concludes that targeted interventions in home environments, as well as strategies that integrate cognitive and socio-emotional support, can significantly enhance numerical literacy outcomes in elementary education. Further research is needed to address gaps in understanding how these factors interact across diverse cultural and socio-economic contexts

Bibliometric Analysis: Interactive Learning Model Assisted by Digital Technology
The world of education is evolving rapidly alongside technological advancements, demanding educators to adapt to the changing times and leverage technology. Consequently, various teaching models have emerged, prompting an analysis to evaluate their effectiveness. This study employs meta-analysis, drawing data from multiple scholarly journals, to assess existing teaching models. Such models are indispensable in education, particularly in school settings. Notable examples include ASSURE, POE, ARIAS, PBL, virtual labs, and technology-based approaches such as online platforms like WhatsApp, Google Classroom, and YouTube applications. Each teaching model exhibits distinct characteristics, allowing educators to integrate or select them according to specific needs. This analysis aims to empower educators to make informed decisions regarding the adoption and customization of teaching models
Kemampuan Membaca Peserta Didik Sekolah Dasar: Studi Kasus di Maulo'o, Nusa Tenggara Timur
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan kesulitan belajar membaca dan menemukan alternatif perbaikan dalam pembelajaran membaca yang baik sehingga dapat menumbuhkan kebiasaan membaca yang menyenangkan bagi peserta didik. Metode deskriptif kualitatif digunakan untuk mendeskripsikan dan menggali analisis kemampuan membaca siswa kelas rendah di Dusun Dike, Desa Maulo'o. Data diperoleh dari subjek penelitian yang dibagi menjadi tiga kelompok berdasarkan tingkat kemampuan membaca. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui wawancara, observasi, dan praktek membaca yang dilaksanakan secara individual dengan perkiraan waktu sekitar 15 menit per siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan membaca siswa di kelas rendah perlu ditingkatkan, terutama pada siswa yang belum mampu membaca dengan lancar dan sangat belum lancar membaca. Peran orang tua sangat penting dalam membantu meningkatkan kemampuan membaca siswa di kelas rendah. Selain itu, perlu adanya upaya dan strategi pembelajaran yang tepat dan efektif untuk membantu siswa yang belum mampu membaca dengan lancar agar bisa menguasai seluruh aspek kemampuan membaca dengan baik
Pengembangan Instrumen Soal berbasis Keterampilan Berpikir Tingkat Tinggi
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan soal pada materi bangun datar kelas IV yang layak. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian dan pengembangan dengan model ADDIE. Teknik analisis data digunakan analisis kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Validasi dilakukan oleh tiga bidang ahli (materi, pembelajaran, dan evaluasi). Validasi menggunakan angket 1 (Sangat Tidak Setuju) hingga 4 (Sangat Setuju). Tidak ada skala netral dalam pilihan. Rata-rata hasil angket dikategorisasi untuk menentukan tingkat validitas. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa instrumen soal HOTS (berpikir tingkat tinggi) pada materi bangun memperoleh hasil penilaian validasi dari ahli materi sebesar 82,5 dengan kategori Sangat Baik. Sedangkan dari ahli pembelajaran diperoleh nilai sebesar 85,0 dengan kategori Sangat Baik. Hasil penilaian dari ahli evaluasi diperoleh sebesar 82,5 dengan kategori Sangat Baik. Analisis tingkat keterlaksanaan yang dilakukan oleh guru diperoleh nilai 85,0. Respon dari 10 siswa memperoleh rata-rata 91,25. Soal mencakup 10 soal pilihan ganda dan 5 soal esai. Hasil analisis validasi menunjukkan butir soal pada pilihan ganda valid. Tingkat kesukaran tidak ada termasuk tingkat kesukaran mudah. Soal berada dalam kategori sedang, sukar, dan sangat sukar. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa pengembangan instrumen soal HOTS pada materi bangun datar kelas IV sekolah dasar layak digunakan
