Affective Reflection and Its Impact on Student Performance: Insights from the 1st Student Annual Seminar
Get PDFThis study investigates how affective reflection affects students' performance when they present their papers at the first student annual seminar. Students who intentionally reflected on their feelings before, during, and following academic presentations engage in affective reflection. Using a qualitative methodology, the study used reflective journals to gather data from 20 student participants. The findings demonstrate that worry and the fear of making a mistake typically govern pre-presentation thinking, which either boosts or deflates students' self-esteem. Students' real-time emotional reactions, such as anxiety or enthusiasm, affect how they interact with the audience and present their material during the presentation. Reflections after a presentation show a significant relationship between emotional release and the capacity to evaluate one's performance objectively, pinpoint strengths, and pinpoint areas in need of development. Besides, encouraging affective reflection as a component of academic preparation can significantly improve student performance by elevating emotional consciousness and self-control

Konflik itu lahir dari ketidakmatangan sikap manusia dalam menyelesaikan persoalan antara sesama manusia itu sendiri, anggota atau golongan. Motif terjadinya konflik ada berbagai macam, mulai dari urusan pribadi sampai pada urusan budaya dan tradisi dalam hal ini pernikahan. Atas dasar ini tujuan penelitian dilakukan untuk mengetahui konstruksi prinsip negosiasi yang dikembangkan dalam pernikahan adat Krowe di Sikka. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu kualitatif deskriptif. Teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi, wawancara, FGD, dan dokumentasi. Data dipilah berdasarkan tata urutan kegunaan, selanjutnya data dikelompokkan berdasarkan masalah yang dingkat dan pada akhirnya melakukan proses verifikasi untuk dihubungkan dengan setiap tujuan yang hendak dicapai serta dikonfrontasi dengan dokumen pendukung. Hasil penelitian tentang prinsip negosiasi yang dikembangkan dalam pernikahan adat Krowe di Sikka yaitu kula kameng (ide diangkat kepermukaan), kula babong (lempar ide dengan santun), kula kara (rapat umum)
Enhancing Mathematics Learning Outcomes of First-Grade Students through the STAD Cooperative Learning Model: A Classroom Action Research at a public primary school in Klaten, Indonesia
Get PDFThis study aims to investigate the enhancement of mathematics learning outcomes through the implementation of the STAD cooperative learning model. Employing a classroom action research approach, the study unfolds across two cycles. The subjects consist of 29 first-grade students, comprising 10 male and 19 female students. Data collection techniques encompass observation, tests, and documentation, facilitated by observation sheets and written tests as research instruments. Data analysis involves both qualitative and quantitative descriptive analysis. Results indicate that the utilization of the STAD cooperative learning model significantly improves students' mathematics learning outcomes. This improvement is evidenced by the progressive increase in the class's average test scores across each cycle, with average scores rising from 54.48 in the pre-cycle to 70.52 in cycle I and further to 82.6 in cycle II

Studi ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi status terbaru EBSE sejak tahun 2004, dengan fokus pada artikel-artikel yang menggambarkan SLR. The Power of Vision and Mission Statements: A Study on Their Impact on Micro Business Enterprises in Camarines Norte, Philippines
Get PDFThis study explores the vision and mission statements of microbusinesses in Daet, Camarines Norte, focusing on their prevalence, clarity, alignment, impact, obstacles, and challenges. Employing a descriptive quantitative approach, data was collected through a survey questionnaire. Statistical techniques such as weighted mean, frequency, and percentage were utilized, with thirty respondents selected from ten microbusiness industries through descriptive and quota samplings. Findings reveal a prevalent lack of clear vision and mission statements among microbusiness owners, attributed to uncertainty and a perceived low priority. Insufficient skills and resources further hinder the crafting of compelling statements, impacting the success of these enterprises. The study underscores the importance of workshops, training sessions, and seminars to equip microbusiness owners with the necessary tools for developing purposeful vision and mission statements, vital for guiding their business towards success
Navigating Non-Academic Challenges of International Students: A Case Study at an Islamic University in Indonesia
Get PDFThe internationalization of higher education creates both benefits and challenges for international students. While academic issues are routinely prioritized, non-academic challenges such as homesickness, culture shock, and social isolation are sometimes disregarded. This study looks at the non-academic experiences of international students at an Islamic University in Indonesia. Using qualitative interviews and thematic analysis, this study identifies substantial problems in students' assimilation to local culture, as well as the effectiveness of institutional support. The findings suggest that colleges should broaden their support services beyond academics to include emotional and social well-being. This study adds to the overall understanding of international student experiences and makes recommendations for non-Western higher education institutions
Determinan Kemiskinan di Provinsi Nusa Tenggara Timur, Indonesia
Get PDFPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi determinan kemiskinan di Provinsi Nusa Tenggara Timur dari tahun 2017 hingga 2022. Data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini bersifat sekunder dan diperoleh dari situs web resmi Badan Pusat Statistik. Data yang digunakan merupakan data panel, menggabungkan data time series dan cross section. Model yang digunakan untuk analisis adalah Random Effect Model. Variabel yang diteliti dalam penelitian ini melibatkan rata-rata lama sekolah, tingkat pengangguran terbuka, jumlah penduduk, PDRB per kapita, dan indikator kesehatan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa, selama periode yang ditentukan, variabel seperti rata-rata lama sekolah, tingkat pengangguran terbuka, jumlah penduduk, dan PDRB per kapita tidak memiliki dampak signifikan terhadap kemiskinan. Namun, variabel kesehatan menunjukkan pengaruh negatif yang signifikan terhadap kemiskinan di Provinsi Nusa Tenggara Timur pada tahun 2017-2022

In this era, humans will be given all kinds of conveniences from technology. The search for truth can be done quickly but less accurately. Artificial intelligence uses big data that will continue to be filled with various knowledge so that in the end intelligence can be utilized properly. The use of artificial intelligence technology in research conducted by researchers should still follow the rules, values, and norms in research. Values and norms in research will lead researchers to be open, fair, responsible, and skeptical of research results. The research method used is a literature study conducted by finding literature sources, reading literature, selecting literature, and analyzing related literature utilizing artificial intelligence in research. The purpose of this study is to find values and norms in research that uses artificial intelligence technology. The result of this study is that a researcher must have the value of objectivity, honesty, fairness, responsibility, stewardship, and openness and continue to develop skepticism, responsibility, ease of understanding, and critical thinking behavior that researchers must have. There are advantages and disadvantages to the use of artificial intelligence in research. The advantages include reference management, search for reference sources, plagiarism checking, and discussions between researchers. While the drawback is the critical thinking ability of researchers, plagiarism, fabrication, and falsification of research data. For this reason, good and responsible researchers must follow the values, values, and norms in research. Researchers must be responsible for the results of their research because the results of their research are a source of knowledge and will be read by readers widely
Pengaruh Variabel Makro Ekonomi Terhadap Nilai Tukar Rupiah di Indonesia
Get PDFPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk memahami bagaimana Suku Bunga, Inflasi, Impor, dan Ekspor memengaruhi nilai tukar Rupiah. Kajian ini menjelaskan hubungan tersebut karena dapat berdampak pada kondisi ekonomi. Variabel yang diamati adalah Nilai Tukar Rupiah, dan faktor-faktor yang mungkin mempengaruhinya termasuk Suku Bunga, Inflasi, Impor, dan Ekspor. Data yang digunakan data Time Series dari rentang 2013-2019. Metode analisis data melibatkan Uji Stasioneritas Data, Uji Kointegrasi Johansen, Vector Error Correction Model (VECM), Impulse Response Function (IRF), dan Variance Decomposition. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dalam jangka pendek variabel suku bunga berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap nilai tukar, sedangkan dalam jangka panjang variabel suku bunga memiliki pengaruh yang positif dan signifikan terhadap nilai tukar. Kemudian Variabel inflasi dalam jangka pendek dan jangka panjang berpengaruh negatif dan signifikan terhadap variabel nilai tukar. Variabel impor dalam jangka pendek tidak berpengaruh signifikan terhadap nilai tukar , sedangkan dalam jangka panjang variabel impor berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap nilai tukar. Terakhir variabel ekspor dalam jangka pendek tidak berpengaruh signifikan, berbeda dalam jangka panjang variabel ekspor berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap nilai tukar
Analysis of Heti Lapang Tradition in Nangatobong Village, Sikka Regency

These traditions are also local wealth owned by the nation, always to be maintained, preserved, and guarded so that these traditions do not become extinct. Heti Lapang is a tradition of getting rid of bad luck which is done after someone experiences bad things such as accidents or nightmares. Heti Lapang tradition is an important part of the Nangatobong community. This study aims to describe the process of the Heti Lapang tradition and find out the meaning contained in the process of the Heti Lapang tradition. The results indicate that the process of Heti Lapang has four processes, namely, roni keleng means getting rid of bad things in a person who experiences a disaster, pati tali means opening the way, huler wair means sprinkled with coconut water so that it can provide coolness and to free people from evil and the last is tung goit which means delivering bad things in the form of symbols or objects used during the Heti Lapang process. In each implementation, verses are spoken using traditional language by mentioning the name of the person who suffered a disaster or accident. The meaning contained in the process of the Heti Lapang Tradition ceremony is to bring safety to the community so that the same disaster does not happen again
