    This database was compiled from the literature. All samples analysed prior to 1980 are excluded, due to poorer precision before that date. The ores have been placed in groups corresponding to countries or important regions. In most papers the ratios 208Pb/206Pb, 207Pb/206Pb and 206Pb/204Pb were given. The ratios 208Pb/204Pb and 207Pb/204Pb shown have been calculated from the other values. All samples which were published with only two isotope ratios are excluded

    2009 National assessment of Mathematics in the First Grade of Secondary Education in Flanders (A-stream)

    In 2009 a national assessment was carried out, which was commissioned by the Flemish government, to assess the extent to which students have achieved the attainment targets for mathematics at the end of the first grade of secondary education (A-stream). Data were collected through 10 written tests covering 4 domains: (1) number sense, (2) algebra, (3) data and (4) geometry. A representative sample of 3257 students from 91 Flemish secondary schools participated. Tests were supplemented with background questionnaires for students, parents, teachers and school leaders. The student questionnaire included questions about their family situation and their perceptions of mathematics classes. The parent questionnaire collected information on their child, family situation and involvement in the school. Teachers were, among other things, questioned about classroom practices, didactic aspects of mathematics classes and the school. School leaders received questions on school policies and the school's vision. The response rates to these questionnaires were 99% for the students and 96% for the parents, teachers and school leaders.In 2009 vond een peiling plaats in opdracht van de Vlaamse overheid om na te gaan in welke mate leerlingen op het einde van de eerste graad van het secundair onderwijs (A-stroom) de eindtermen wiskunde hebben behaald. De gegevens werden verzameld door middel van 10 schriftelijke toetsen over vier domeinen: getallenleer, algebra, data en meetkunde. Deze testen werden afgenomen bij een representatieve steekproef van 3257 leerlingen uit 91 secundaire scholen. Toetsbeoordelingen werden aangevuld met vragenlijsten met leerlingen, ouders, leerkrachten en de directie om achtergrondinformatie over leerlingen en scholen in te zamelen. In de leerlingvragenlijst werd onder meer gevraagd naar hun thuissituatie en hun perceptie van de lessen wiskunde. De oudervragenlijst verzamelde informatie over hun kind, de gezinsachtergrond en hun betrokkenheid bij de school. De leerkrachtvragenlijst ging onder meer over didactische aspecten van de wiskundelessen en de school. De directievragenlijst verzamelde voornamelijk informatie over de visie en het beleid van de school. De respons op deze vragenlijsten was 99% voor de leerlingen en 96% voor de ouders, leerkrachten, en de directie

    In 2002 a national assessment was carried out, which was commissioned by the Flemish government, to assess whether pupils have achieved the attainment targets for reading comprehension and mathematics at the end of primary education. Data were collected through 3 reading tests and 14 mathematics tests. The reading tests dealt with the consultation of diagrams and tables to benefit the audience, the structuring of a study text and the answering of questions about a story at the structuring level. The mathematics tests were compiled into four test booklets and each test in a booklet referred to a different mathematics subdomain. Each pupil completed one test booklet. A representative sample of 6069 pupils from 200 Flemish primary schools participated.In 2002 vond een peiling plaats in opdracht van de Vlaamse overheid om na te gaan in welke mate leerlingen op het einde van het basisonderwijs de eindtermen begrijpend lezen en wiskunde hebben bereikt. De gegevens werden verzameld door middel van 3 leestoetsen en 14 wiskundetoetsen. De leestoetsen handelden over het raadplegen van schema's en tabellen ten dienste van het publiek, het structureren van een studietekst en het beantwoorden van vragen over een verhaal op het structurerend niveau. De wiskundetoetsen werden gebundeld in vier toetsboekjes, waarvan iedere leerling er één maakte. Elke toets in een toetsboekje verwees naar een afzonderlijk deeldomein wiskunde. De toetsen werden afgenomen bij een representatieve steekproef van 6069 leerlingen uit 200 Vlaamse basisscholen

    Dissecting the melanoma ecosystem one cell at the time during immunotherapy

Resistance to ICB may also develop when tumours relapse after targeted therapy. To identify cancer cell-intrinsic mechanisms driving resistance to ICB, we generated single-cell RNA-sequencing (scRNA-seq) data from a prospective longitudinal cohort of patients on ICB therapy, including an early time point obtained after only one cycle of treatment. Comparing these data with murine scRNA-seq datasets, we established a comprehensive view of the cellular architecture of the treatment-naïve melanoma ecosystem, and defined 6 evolutionarily conserved melanoma transcriptional metaprograms (Melanocytic or MEL, Mesenchymal-like or MES, Neural Crest-like, Antigen Presentation, Stress (hypoxia response) and Stress (p53 response)). Spatial multi-omics revealed a non-random geographic distribution of cell states that is, at least partly, driven by the tumour microenvironment. The single-cell data allowed unambiguous discrimination between melanoma MES cells and cancer-associated fibroblasts both in silico and in situ, a long-standing challenge in the field. Importantly, two of the melanoma transcriptional metaprograms were associated with divergent clinical responses to ICB. While the Antigen Presentation cell population was more abundant in tumours from patients who exhibited a clinical response to ICB, MES cells were significantly enriched in early on-treatment biopsies from non-responders, and their presence significantly predicted lack of response. Critically, we identified TCF4 (E2-2) as a master regulator of the MES program and suppressor of both MEL and Antigen Presentation programs. Targeting TCF4 expression in MES cells either genetically or pharmacologically using a bromodomain inhibitor increased immunogenicity and sensitivity to targeted therapy. This study describes an increasingly complex melanoma transcriptional landscape and its rapid evolution under ICB. It also identifies a putative biomarker of early response to ICB and an epigenetic therapeutic strategy that increases both immunogenicity of ICB-refractory melanoma and their sensitivity to targeted therapy.Fastq files generated from the Visium Spatial Transcriptomic can be requested via EGA under dataset number EGAD00001010921

    Replication Data for: Decision Algorithm Based on the Modified Bellman Equation to Deal With EMI-induced Errors in Hamming-Based Communications

    This dataset evaluates the proposed decision-making algorithm under a recerberation environment. The proposed algorithm is based on a modified version of the Bellman equation to deal with electromagnetic interference errors in a communication channel inside a harsh electromagnetic reverberant environment. The Bellman equation is a fundamental concept in decision-making problems such as Markov decision processes. Such processes model decision making in situations where the outcomes are partly ran dom and partly controlled by an agent (decision maker). In this study, a wired communication channel that uses non-return-to-zero-level data encoding and Hamming code for error detection and correction is disturbed. First, the packet error rate (PER) is calculated and compared with and without the proposed algorithm for different electromagnetic disturbance frequencies and bit rates. The gain is compared at different PERs when the algorithm’s parameters (called rewards) are optimized and when these are set as random. Finally, the influence of the rewards and the maximum number of resends on the algorithm’s performance is also studied

    A reference database of wind-farm large-eddy simulations for parametrizing effects of blockage and gravity waves

The dataset contains a suite of large-eddy simulation results of a wind farm operating in conventionally neutral boundary layers, in which atmospheric conditions are varied to study the effect of wind-farm blockage and self-induced gravity waves. A 1.6GW offshore wind farm with a fixed layout, composed of 160 IEA 10MW turbines, is considered for 36 different atmospheric stratification conditions. In particular, we initialize the simulations with four capping-inversion heights (i.e. 150, 300, 500 and 1000 m), three capping-inversion strengths (i.e. 2, 5 and 8 K) and three free-atmosphere lapse rates (i.e. 1, 4 and 8 K/km), while the geostrophic wind is fixed to 10 m/s. In addition, there are four simulations without atmospheric stratification, four simulations which consider a single turbine only and five simulations that use a different farm layout (note that the latter are not illustrated in Lanzilao & Meyers (2024)), for a total of 49 cases. All simulations are performed by using a concurrent precursor method. Hence, the inflow conditions in the main domain (the one containing the turbines) are provided by the flow fields generated in the precursor domain. Appropriate spin-ups are used (first in the precursor domain, and subsequently in precursor and main domains) to generate fully developed turbulence in the boundary layer. The dataset is generated with the SP-Wind code, an in-house LES and DNS code developed at KU Leuven. For details of the code structure and simulation set-up we refer to Lanzilao & Meyers (2024). The dataset is organized as follows. The results obtained in the 49 simulations are divided into 49 folders. Each folder contains results obtained on both the precursor (stat_precursor_**.h5) and main (stat_main_**.h5) domains. There are 42 time-averaged flow fields per domain, which are categorized in first-, second- and third-order statistics, further divided into resolved and sub-grid scale components. The flow fields have dimensions of Nx x Ny x Nz, where Nx, Ny and Nz are the number of grid points in the streamwise, spanwise and vertical directions used in the respective domain. Note that these flow fields are time-averaged over the last 1.5 hours of the simulation. In addition, the inst_precursor_first_order.h5 and inst_main_first_order.h5 files provide the instantaneous velocity and potential temperature fields obtained at the end time of the simulations. Finally, the turbine_data.h5 file contains information about the thrust, power and orientation of all turbines in the farm. During the experiment information on kidney perfusion as well as perfusate samples were collected. Perfusion parameters during perfusion were noted. Indicators of kidney function and injury in plasma were determined in the plasma and these the individual data are deposited here

    This program can be used to modify tensile test data to be compatible with the MatchID (DIC) software (even with unequal sample frequency). The required structure of the tensile test data is found in README.txt. The data can also be merged with sample data from adhesive single lap shear tests using the "SLS-Dataset" programme
