STRENGTHENING CHILDREN'S RELIGIOUS EDUCATION THROUGH ISLAMIC LEARNING HOUSES BASED ON FUN LEARNING IN THE DIGITAL ERA
Objective: Pendirian Rumah Belajar Islam di Desa Penatarsewu bertujuan untuk meningkatkan minat anak untuk belajar keagamaan. Method: Pelaksanaan pengabdian kepada masyarakat menggunakan metode fun learning kepada peserta Rumah Belajar Islam serta materi yang diberikan berupa pembelajaran bahasa arab dan pengetahuan keislaman. Results: Hasil dari pengabdian ini meningkatkan minat anak-anak untuk belajar bahasa arab dan pengetahuan keislaman. Novelty: Selain itu metode yang diterapkan dapat menjadi rujukan bagi orang tua dan pendidik dalam pengajaran bahasa arab dan pengetahuan keislaman agar anak lebih tertarik dan bersemangat saat belajar
TRANSFORMING MSMES TO A DIGITAL ECONOMY: BANK MANDIRI'S ROLE THROUGH QRIS AS A FINANCIAL INCLUSION INSTRUMENT IN KETIMANG VILLAGE
Objective: This study examines the contribution of QRIS to the digital transformation of MSMEs in Ketimang Village through collaboration with Bank Mandiri and the support of the KKN program. Method: A descriptive qualitative method was employed using observation, interviews, documentation, and questionnaires. Results: The findings indicate that QRIS positively impacts transaction efficiency (4.55), financial transparency (4.46), and digital market expansion (4.34). Bank Mandiri plays a vital role in strengthening MSME competitiveness (4.48), while the KKN program effectively enhances digital literacy and provides technical assistance (4.51). Product innovation is also considered important, with a score of 4.45. Challenges remain in terms of limited capital (4.07) and insufficient digital literacy (4.45). The highest-rated aspect is stakeholder synergy (4.70), highlighting that multiparty collaboration is fundamental for establishing an inclusive and sustainable MSME ecosystem. Novelty: The digital transformation of MSMEs through QRIS can be optimized through continuous improvements in digital literacy, better access to financing, and sustained collaborative support among stakeholders
IMPLEMENTATION OF THE USE OF SME ACCOUNTING APPLICATIONS FOR RECORDING COST BUDGET PLANS FOR BUSINESS ACTORS IN DURENSEWU VILLAGE
Objective: Tujuan dari kegiatan ini adalah untuk mengenalkan pentingnya akutansi didalam suatu usaha sekaligus untuk mengenalkan aplikasi UKM untuk mempermudah pencatatan keuangan usaha, yang selanjutnya dapat memberikan positif dan memajukan usaha, juga mengenalkan tata cara pendaftaran NIB untuk mempermudah pengurusan administrasi usaha. Method: Universitas Muhammadiyah Sidoarjo melakukan program pengabdian masyarakat disini kami kelompok 2 kebagian desa Durensewu kecamatan Pandaan. Program kerja kita yaitu melakukan pengembangan pariwisata Durensewu dengan tanaman iconic desa serta penguatan UMKM melalui desa sapta pesona. Tetapi kita ambil program utamanya yaitu UMKM dengan melakukan penyuluhan terhadap masyarakat tentang penerapan penggunaan aplikasi akuntansi UKM dan pendaftaran NIB (Nomor Induk Berusaha). Results: Dalam mewujudkan produk unggulan dari durian kelompok 2 pengabdian masyarakat Umsida memberikan gambaran inovasi produk khas Desa Duren Sewu berupa bomboloni dan pukis dengan berbahan dasar durian. MIND YOUR VIBE: NAVIGATING MENTAL HEALTH & SOCIAL MEDIA IN THE DIGITAL AGE FOR MUHAMMADIYAH YOUTH MOVEMENT
Objective: This community service activity aims to raise awareness among teenagers in Sidoarjo about mental health and the impact of social media on their well-being. Method: The method used involves Focus Group Discussions (FGD) and workshops, providing participants with a space to discuss the effects of social media on mental health, ways to manage digital stress, and building self-confidence. Additionally, practical strategies such as mindfulness and communication skills were introduced to help teenagers cope with digital pressures. Evaluation was conducted through participant feedback and group discussions to measure improvements in understanding mental health and media literacy. Results: The results showed a significant improvement in participants' understanding of how to manage stress arising from social media and maintain a balance between the digital world and real life. Novelty: The novelty of this program lies in its ability to integrate discussions on mental health with practical tools for managing social media pressures, providing a safe space for teenagers to address the challenges they face in the digital age and learn to navigate their interactions in the online world in a healthier way
PSYCHOEDUCATION OF ASSERTIVE COMMUNICATION TO IMPROVE BULLYING PREVENTION KNOWLEDGE IN JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS
Objective: This psychoeducational activity aims to increase understanding related to bullying and assertive communication in SMPN 1 Purwosari students. Method: The method used in this psychoeducational activity uses the lecture method by psychologists, accompanied by pre-post-test evaluation, to measure participants' understanding. Results: The data analysis technique used the T test paired sample T-test, with a result of 0.001, meaning that there was a significant difference in participants' understanding before and after psychoeducation. Novelty: The psychoeducational approach and the use of paired sample T-test for measuring understanding before and after the activity may contribute to the novelty
EMPOWERING SELF-RELIANCE FOR FOOD SECURITY WITH AISYIYAH SIDOARJO IN LIMITED LAND UTILIZATION
Objective: This study aims to enhance food security by empowering the members of Pimpinan Daerah Aisyiyah (PDA) Sidoarjo through the utilization of narrow land for sustainable agriculture. Many Aisyiyah members possess home yards or small plots of land that remain underutilized, necessitating an intervention to promote efficient land use practices. Method: The program involved a series of activities, including socialization, training, and mentoring on various urban farming techniques such as polybag cultivation, hydroponics, and verticulture. These approaches were introduced to facilitate knowledge transfer and ensure the proper cultivation of organic crops through hands-on learning. Results: The implementation of hydroponic and organic farming methods was successfully adopted by Aisyiyah members, leading to an increase in household-scale agricultural productivity. Participants were able to cultivate crops until harvest, demonstrating the effectiveness of the provided training. Moreover, they developed the capability to create planting media and produce liquid organic fertilizers independently, reinforcing sustainable agricultural practices. Novelty: This initiative integrates community-based empowerment with technological advancements in urban farming, specifically targeting women-led organizations in the context of food security. The combination of hydroponic cultivation, organic farming, and independent fertilizer production offers a replicable model for optimizing land use in urban and peri-urban settings
OPTIMIZATION OF LAND UTILIZATION AS A PHOTO SPOT: STUDENT ENGAGEMENT INITIATIVE IN ENHANCING TOURISM AT KALLWA COFFEE
Objective: This project explores the involvement of students from Muhammadiyah University of Sidoarjo in optimizing land use as photo spots at Kallwa Coffee. By designing photo spots intelligently, land that may have previously been overlooked can be optimized for tourism purposes. Areas with strong visual potential can be transformed into attractive photo spots. The aim of this research is to enhance tourism appeal by engaging students in the planning, development, and promotion of the destination.. Method: The research methods include field surveys, collaboration with local communities, and active student involvement. Results: The results indicate that student involvement is effective in creating appealing photo spots, raising public awareness, and supporting the growth of tourism at Kallwa Coffee. Novelty: The photo spots at Kallwa Coffee are not merely aesthetic elements but also serve as a key strategy in enhancing the branding of Kallwa Coffee
INNOVATIVE LEARNING STRATEGIES THROUGH EMOTIONAL APPROACHES ENHANCE THE LEARNING INTEREST OF SDN BALEDONO 2 STUDENTS
Objective: This study aims to explore and analyze the effectiveness of innovative learning strategies integrated with an emotional approach in enhancing elementary school students' interest in learning at SDN Baledono 2. Method: A qualitative research method with a descriptive approach was employed to assess the implementation of the Community Service Program by students from Muhammadiyah University of Sidoarjo. Data collection was conducted through observation, interviews, and documentation analysis to examine the impact of these strategies on student engagement. Results: The findings indicate a notable increase in students' enthusiasm for learning following the implementation of interactive and emotionally engaging teaching methods. The structured learning interventions successfully fostered a more dynamic and student-centered classroom environment, leading to improved participation and motivation. Novelty: This study highlights the integration of emotional engagement within innovative pedagogy as a key factor in revitalizing student interest in learning. The insights gained provide valuable recommendations for educators and future community service programs to enhance the quality of elementary education through emotionally responsive teaching strategies. Future research should explore scalable models for implementing similar approaches in diverse educational settings to ensure broader applicability and long-term impact
THE SOCIOLOGY OF CULTURAL ASSIMILATION AND SOCIAL INTEGRATION OF IRAQI ETHNIC GROUPS: A CASE STUDY OF SOME IRAQI ETHNIC GROUPS
Objective: This research aims to study the sociology of cultural assimilation and social integration of Iraqi minorities (Yazidis, Shabaks, Mandaeans) by adopting a mixed methodology that combines quantitative methods (questionnaires and statistical analysis) and qualitative methods (semi-structured interviews). Method: The study utilized a mixed-method approach, employing questionnaires for quantitative data and semi-structured interviews for qualitative insights, complemented by statistical analysis to interpret the findings. Result: The results reveal that cultural assimilation has been clearly achieved through the adoption of the Arabic language and integration into the education system, while structural and political integration remains limited, reflecting a state of ‘incomplete integration.’ The study also highlighted that religious rituals and social ties are effective mechanisms for preserving identity but sometimes reinforce ethnic boundaries. Novelty: The research concluded that overcoming this issue requires comprehensive institutional reforms, including the integration of minority languages into the education system, expanding political representation, and strengthening community networks to ensure greater equity in opportunities for participation and integration.
APPLICATION OF WASTE BANK AS A SOLUTION TO IMPROVE CLEAN AND HEALTHY LIVING BEHAVIOR IN THE MUHAMMADIYAH MOSQUE ENVIRONMENT, PUTAT VILLAGE, SIDOARJO REGENCY
Objective: The objective of this study is to implement the concept of a waste bank as a novel solution to enhance clean and healthy living behaviors within the mosque environment. Method: The method employed in this study commenced with the delivery of PHBS education, followed by the implementation of PHBS practices, and culminated in the provision of a waste bank inventory. Results: The results of the study indicate an increase in awareness and participation among mosque members in maintaining cleanliness and effective waste management. This, in turn, supports a healthy and comfortable mosque environment for worship. Novelty: The promotion of clean and healthy living behaviors is of paramount importance for the enhancement of public health, particularly in places of worship such as mosques.
