Domestic tourism has grown to become a driving force of many economies globally and when developed can stand the shocks of pandemics which affect international tourism in receipts and arrivals. The scope of tourism markets is of different segments, which when given the necessary attention generate benefits to tourism destinations, inclusive of the segment of students’ market. However, students’ market segment is under exploited, requiring attention. Therefore, considering Ghana’s tourism resources and students’ enrolments, the study sought to assess the travel patterns and preference of university students and how implications can be strategically evaluated for the promotion of domestic tourism. The study was limited to students of Takoradi Technical University students. The study employed a quantitative approach and adopted questionnaire as the data collection instrument. Data was analysed and presented using IBM SPSS version 21 and the results were presented in frequencies, tables, pie charts and histogram. Key findings showed that students individually organize their travel, consider safety and location in the choice of destination, and use internet and social media in search of travel information. The study provides content for tourism institutions, enterprises and service providers on the preference and patterns of university students travel. Also, it provides information to decision makers and serves as content to destination managers in giving attention to university students as a market segment in the promotion of domestic tourism
Security Risks in Remote Work Infrastructure: Analysis of VPN Vulnerabilities and Insider Threats
The widespread adoption of remote work following the COVID-19 pandemic has significantly transformed enterprise network infrastructures. Organizations increasingly rely on Virtual Private Networks (VPNs) and remote desktop technologies to enable secure access to corporate resources from off-site locations. However, this shift has simultaneously introduced critical security risks, particularly when such tools are misconfigured, poorly monitored, or targeted by sophisticated cyberattacks. Additionally, the emergence of insider threats—authorized users who intentionally or unintentionally compromise network security—poses a persistent and often underestimated challenge. This study explores the security risks associated with remote work infrastructure by examining vulnerabilities in VPN deployment and analysing the dynamics of insider threats. Simulation models and real-world incident data are leveraged to highlight risk vectors and mitigation strategies. Findings show a direct correlation between VPN mismanagement and data breaches, with insider activity contributing significantly to incident response failures. The study proposes an integrated framework combining Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA), continuous monitoring, and user behaviour analytics (UBA) to enhance remote work security resilience

Sociocultural Determinants of Sports Injuries: Insights from the Indian Context
Sociocultural factors play a crucial role in determining the incidence and management of sports injuries in India. Despite the nation’s growing success in athletics and other sports, Indian athletes—especially from rural and economically disadvantaged backgrounds—often face recurring injuries due to limited access to modern medical care, economic pressures, and deep-rooted traditional beliefs about pain and recovery. Cultural perceptions that glorify endurance and self-sacrifice often prevent athletes from seeking timely treatment. This paper explores how sociocultural determinants such as economic background, gender norms, traditional healing systems, and training culture influence injury patterns, perceptions, and rehabilitation among Indian athletes. It emphasizes the need for integrating indigenous wisdom with contemporary sports science and medical interventions to ensure sustainable athletic performance and well-being (Kumar & Shukla, 2018; Singh et al., 2021)

Organizational Investment and Employee Reciprocity of Real Estate Companies: Basis for Action Plan
This study examines the relationship between organizational investment and employee reciprocity in small and medium-sized real estate companies in Calamba, Laguna. Rooted in Blau’s Social Exchange Theory (1964), the research explores how leadership, recognition, and career development—as forms of organizational investment—affect employee engagement, loyalty, and productivity, which are key indicators of employee reciprocity. Employing a descriptive-correlational research design, data were gathered from 60 respondents through a validated survey instrument. A statistically significant relationship was identified between the two variables, indicating that when organizations invest in their people, employees are more likely to respond with increased commitment, productivity, and loyalty. Additionally, demographic factors such as age, educational background, and length of service showed some influence on how investment and reciprocity were perceived. The study underscores the critical role of strategic investment in leadership development, employee recognition, and structured career pathways in enhancing workplace culture and performance. These findings offer practical insights for business leaders and HR practitioners to design effective investment strategies that foster a culture of reciprocity, ultimately contributing to long-term organizational stability and competitiveness in the real estate sector.
