    Material extrusion 3D printing has made significant strides, yet challenges remain in seamlessly integrating multiple polymer materials in a single print. This abstract introduces a novel technique that precisely overlaps two polymer materials during the printing process, expanding the capabilities of additive manufacturing. Leveraging advanced control systems to synchronize the deposition of two distinct polymers, this method ensures a seamless transition and strong adhesion between layers. Optimizing material flow rates, temperature profiles, and layer bonding mechanisms is crucial for achieving high-quality prints with enhanced structural integrity and material properties. This approach unlocks possibilities across various industries. For instance, in the automotive sector, it enables the fabrication of lightweight components with tailored mechanical properties, such as reinforced sections overlapped with flexible elastomers for vibration damping. In the medical field, the technique facilitates the creation of complex implants with biocompatible coatings for improved integration and reduced rejection rates. Beyond traditional applications, this technique paves the way for developing functional prototypes, customized products, and advanced composite structures with superior performance characteristics.     Assessing the Implementation of the New Early Childhood Care and Development (ECCD) Accreditation in Silvino Lubos, Northern Samar, Philippines

    This qualitative inquiry examined the implementation of the Early Childhood Care and Development (ECCD) Program of the Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office (MSWDO) of Silvino Lubos, Northern Samar, Philippines using the National ECCD Accreditation Tool as the primary evaluative framework. Exploring readiness and challenges, and contextual barriers of child development service delivery conducted across 26 barangays of Silvino Lubos, a GIDA area, face perennial inadequacies in resources, politics, infrastructures and varied capacities. The study explored the contextual barriers and alignment with the national standards as well as implementation readiness using key informant interviews, focus group discussions (FGD), and document review. Through thematic analysis, four key concerns were raised: (1) structural or infrastructure and resources deficiencies, (2) political barriers to prioritization and motivation of a workforce, (3) differences in training and inadequate qualifications of Child Development Workers (CDWs), and (4) the national ECCD standards and the LGUs and barangays colliding gaps in resources. Findings indicate that Child Development Centers remain unaccredited due to inadequate facilities, irregular honoraria and incomplete documentation. A critical gap was also identified between ECCD curriculum implementation (ages 0–4) under LGUs and the Department of Education’s Kindergarten program (age 5), resulting in discontinuities in school readiness and learning transitions. The study recommends contextualized accreditation for GIDAs, strengthened workforce professionalization of Child Development Workers and supervisors, political-neutral governance mechanisms, infrastructure investment, and improved coordination between ECCD providers and DepEd to ensure continuity of early learning. For the University of Eastern Philippines, the findings provide empirical evidence to inform policy-oriented research, enrich instruction in social development, education, and public administration programs, and strengthen extension initiatives that support LGUs in designing context-sensitive ECCD interventions for marginalized and GIDA communities

    Marketing Channels for Horticultural Produce in Kenya – A Mapping of Channels Currently in Use by Farmers

    Horticultural produce can be sold in the farm or marketed through local fresh markets; local processed markets, fresh export markets, or processed export markets. Kenya has agro-ecological conditions that favor horticultural products which have been or are being developed and produced to meet various demand in order to satisfy quantity and quality levels of consumers. The marketing structure depends on where horticultural produce is produced and consumed. The problem in horticultural produce marketing is non-defined and varied channels for a given produce thereby needing its map out. Given a diversified demand structure, the objective of study was to map existing channels used by farmers for produce to follow during marketing, so as to reach respective target groups or consumers. In this research primary data was obtained through field survey using questionnaires and interviews. Respondents were selected through stratified random sampling method and 100 horticulture vendors and sellers in 5 markets of Eldoret, Kitale, Kisumu, Nairobi and Nyeri and 5 HCDA and 5 MOA officers in the five counties. Secondary data obtained from varied sources (FPEAK, HCDA and MOA reports) were obtained, compared and analyzed to come up with marketing channels for fruits, vegetables and cut flowers. Data obtained was subjected to descriptive and qualitative on excel. Results indicated that farmers pass and dispose of their horticultural produce through various market outlets including; modern channels like supermarkets, online trading portals and exports as well as traditional channels including rural and urban wholesale or retail markets. It was concluded that marketing channels of horticultural produce are varied and diverse with urban, rural and supermarkets preferred. It was recommended that marketers use varied marketing channels depending on horticulture produce at their disposal to enhance horticultural product flow and reduce costs

    Assessing the Implementation of DRRM Programs Among Public Secondary Schools in the Second District of Northern Samar

    This descriptive-correlational study evaluated how well public secondary schools in the second district of Northern Samar had implemented a school disaster risk reduction management system. The respondents were the SBM committee members and others in-charge in the school DRRM operations. A complete enumeration of the respondents was utilized and have employed a survey questionnaire as a primary tool in the data collection, which parts were adopted from the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management (NDRRM) Plan, Hyogo Framework for Action. The public secondary schools in the second district of Northern Samar were situated in the coastal area, school risk maps were not displayed, and with small student population. Although funds allotment was observed, the school DRRM organizational structure was not in place. Furthermore, the public secondary schools in the second district of Northern Samar had implemented the DRRM program. Concluding that the profile of the schools and the status of implementation are significantly related. Lastly, the difference in the status of implementation of the DRRM Program based on topographic location was not significant. The findings suggest that despite the variation in topographical features and characteristics, public secondary schools in the second congressional district of Northern Samar are generally implementing DRRM programs to a similar extent across topographic locations

The objective of this research is to analyze the significant impacts of infrastructure development projects in Valenzuela City, particularly the implementation of urban parks and green spaces. Ultimately, the research highlights the need for sustainable development that benefits both the citizens, economy and the environment.     Educational Support: Phenomenological Study Among Industry Focal Person on their Corporate Social Responsibility to Labas Senior High School

    This study examined the lived experiences and challenges faced by industry focal persons in implementing Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives to support education at Labas Senior High School. Employing a phenomenological research design, the study aimed to understand how CSR is experienced, delivered, and sustained within the educational context through in-depth interviews. Findings revealed that industry partners perceive CSR as a values-driven, community-based partnership fostering both educational development and organizational growth. Participants highlighted the importance of authentic, inclusive engagement to achieve meaningful impact. CSR initiatives supported academic enrichment, resource provision, and collaborative learning opportunities for students and faculty. However, challenges emerged, including difficulties aligning CSR activities with organizational and educational goals, internal constraints such as limited manpower and shifting priorities, and the necessity of strategic leadership to sustain CSR commitments. The study underscores the vital role of responsive problem-solving and leadership involvement in enhancing CSR outcomes. Furthermore, it emphasizes continuous collaboration between industry partners and educational institutions to promote sustainable and impactful CSR practices. These insights provide valuable guidance for current and prospective industry partners aiming to strengthen their educational support through CSR

    Service Quality and Customer Retention in Milky Way Restaurant

    This study examined the relationship between service quality and customer retention at Milky Way Restaurant using the SERVQUAL model. The primary objective was to assess how dimensions of service quality—tangibility, reliability, responsiveness, assurance, and empathy—influence customer retention factors such as frequency of visits, loyalty programs, and feedback and complaints. A descriptive-correlational research design with impact analysis was employed. Data were collected from 150 loyal customers using a structured questionnaire and analyzed through weighted mean, Pearson correlation, and regression analysis. Findings revealed that all five dimensions of service quality received a “Very Satisfied” rating, with reliability scoring the highest. Similarly, customer retention showed strong indicators, particularly in the areas of loyalty and feedback response. The study established a statistically significant relationship between perceived service quality and customer retention. Furthermore, regression analysis confirmed that service quality had a significant positive impact on customer retention. The study concludes that high service quality leads to increased customer retention in the restaurant industry. It recommends continuous training for staff, improvement in physical ambiance, and the implementation of well-structured loyalty programs. These enhancements can boost customer satisfaction and ensure long-term business growth. The findings serve as a basis for a proposed action plan to sustain and improve both service quality and customer loyalty

    Work Quality and Employee Productivity in Insurance Company

    In service-oriented sectors like insurance, employee productivity is crucial to an organization\u27s success. Productivity is highly related to operational performance and profitability, which are often evaluated by the efficiency of manpower (Smith & Wong, 2021). Quality of work, which refers to the ability to show up with accuracy, timeliness, and detail oriented, is among the top factors determining productivity. This study utilized a correlational research design wherein the researcher determined the relationship between respondents’ assessment of the insurance company employees’ level of work quality and productivity. Findings showed that the overall work quality in the insurance company is notably high across various dimensions, and the overall level of productivity in the insurance company is very high. It is also found that higher work-quality ratings are closely associated with greater productivity, emphasizing the importance of maintaining high standards of work quality to achieve better performance outcomes. The linear regression analysis concluded that work quality is a strong and significant predictor of employee productivity. The developed action plan should be utilized or implemented to ensure that insurance companies can improve their employees’ work quality and productivity. It is suggested that the managers of insurance companies should focus on further enhancing work quality as a strategy to boost overall productivity. By investing in training programs, optimizing processes, and ensuring consistent high-quality performance, the company can leverage this positive relationship to improve employee output and operational efficiency

    Employee Self-Efficacy and Productivity in Selected Trading Companies: Basis for Action Plan

    This study examined the relationship between self-efficacy and employee productivity in selected trading companies in Laguna, Philippines. It utilized a quantitative, descriptive-correlational design with 187 purposively sampled full-time employees. Five dimensions of self-efficacy (general, occupational, task-specific, entrepreneurial, and work environment support) were analyzed against five productivity indicators (task completion, quality of work, problem-solving, collaboration, and initiative). Validated survey instruments yielded high internal consistency (Cronbach’s alpha > 0.86). Results showed moderate levels of self-efficacy and productivity. Significant positive correlations existed between all dimensions, with Work Environment and Support emerging as the strongest predictor of productivity (β = 0.395, p < 0.001). Regression analysis explained 73.8% of productivity variance (R² = 0.738). The findings underscore the importance of fostering a supportive work environment and tailored interventions to enhance productivity in the trading sector
