From Bytes to Jobs: Decoding Bosnia and Herzegovina's Employment Puzzle Through Fdi and Ict
Bosnia and Herzegovina's transition from socialism to capitalism has led to fundamental changes in the country's economic structure, with unemployment, FDI, economic growth, and information technologies becoming critical factors in this process. Information and Communication Technology (ICT) and Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) can promote economic growth and generate employment, helping to tackle unemployment through various channels. Bosnia and Herzegovina has been facing long-term unemployment for years. Thus, this study uses an Autoregressive Distributed Lag (ARDL) bounds testing approach and structural break technique to explore the impact of FDI, ICT, and growth on unemployment in Bosnia and Herzegovina for the period 1997–2022. The research findings indicate that FDI has a negative impact on unemployment in the long run. On the other hand, ICT has a positive impact on unemployment in the long run. Moreover, empirical findings demonstrated that there is a negative and significant relationship between growth and unemployment in the long run. This implies the validity of Okun’s Law for Bosnia and Herzegovina. Furthermore, the study brings forth a crucial insight that the impacts of FDI on unemployment are not uniform and differ significantly based on the type of FDI inflows.Bosnia and Herzegovina's transition from socialism to capitalism has led to fundamental changes in the country's economic structure, with unemployment, FDI, economic growth, and information technologies becoming critical factors in this process.
This article explores the theme of solitude in J.-K. Huysmans’ narrative fictions À Rebours (Against the grain) (1884) and À vau-l’eau (With the Flow) (1882). Huysmans presents solitude as an existential condition, deeply intertwined with the characters’ psychological states and their estrangement from society. In À Rebours, the protagonist des Esseintes retreats into a self-imposed isolation, rejecting the external world in favor of an artificial, solitary existence. His solitude, however, leads to a deeper sense of alienation and psychological disintegration. In contrast, in À vau-l’eau, the character Folantin experiences solitude as a result of social and economic marginalization. His loneliness is not a choice, but rather a consequence of his failure to integrate into society. The study highlights how Huysmans uses solitude to illustrate the inherent struggles of individualism in modern society. This article explores the theme of solitude in J.-K. Global minimum tax as a tool for strengthening economic stability
This article explores the global minimum tax (GMT) as a legal and policy response to the growing challenges of tax base erosion and profit shifting (BEPS) in the context of globalization and digitalization. The central thesis posits that GMT can serve as an effective instrument to reinforce global economic stability, enhance tax fairness, and mitigate aggressive tax planning. Drawing upon a multidisciplinary methodology—combining doctrinal legal analysis with economic policy evaluation—the article identifies the key legal, political, and economic implications of implementing GMT. The research highlights that although GMT offers a structural solution to harmful tax competition, its success is contingent on robust international coordination, legal enforceability, and inclusiveness for developing countries. The article confirms the hypothesis that GMT has the potential to stabilize public revenues and restore equity in the international tax system, while also underlining its limitations and proposing policy recommendations. The originality of the article lies in its comprehensive analysis of the interplay between legal architecture, political constraints, and redistributive impacts of GMT in the evolving global fiscal order

Netocracy and Global Multipolarity: Archetypal Rethinking Public Administration
The article provides a conceptual analysis of the transformation of public administration in the context of the digital revolution and global multipolarity through the archetypal prism of netocracy – a new form of power based on control over information flows, digital platforms and algorithms. It is proven that in the 21st century, classical hierarchical models of governance are losing their effectiveness, giving way to flexible network structures and new archetypes of leadership and legitimacy. The phenomenon of algorithmic sovereignty, socio-technological resonance and digital public virtue as key mechanisms of the new governance paradigm is revealed. Particular attention is paid to the role of cognitive trust, strategic facilitation, reputational capital and moral programming in the process of public decision-making. Several political and managerial recommendations are proposed for the adaptation of state institutions to the new reality, in particular, the introduction of mechanisms of algorithmic audit, digital ethics, multi-actor co-management and mental digital sustainability. Ukraine is presented as a state with a unique window of opportunity to form a model of innovative network management that combines technological efficiency with humanistic values
