First Year EFL Students’ Perceptions Toward the Use of Artificial Intelligence to Enhance Oral Communication Skills: The Case of ENS Constantine
Get PDFThere was a tremendous widespread of the English language in different domains that underline its considerable importance as an international language. EFL teachers integrate artificial intelligence in language classrooms to enable them to practice the language in a relaxed learning environment considering the significance of oral communication skills to English learners. This paper aims to determine the impact of artificial intelligence-powered tools in enhancing oral communication skills. The study investigates English students’ perceptions and opinions about the significance of artificial intelligence’s integration to improve their oral communication skills. The research chooses the population randomly from first-year English students at the Ecole Normal Superieur ‘Assia Djebar’, Constantine, Algeria, for the academic year 2023_2024. A semi-structured questionnaire is administered to forty students to give their opinions about the role of artificial intelligence in improving oral communication skills. Results of the research have concluded that artificial intelligence is significant in enhancing learners’ oral communication skills and overcoming the possible challenges they face

Dans cet article, nous mettons en avant comment rendre les programmes de sciences et de technologies plus accessibles aux apprenants et dans quelle mesure ces derniers seront capables de jouer un rôle actif dans l’assimilation et la reproduction de ces programmes. En effet, les séances de toute une séquence seront assistées par l’IA pour le groupe expérimental. Pour le groupe témoin, les leçons de la même séquence seront abordées sans l’intégration de l’intelligence artificielle
The Significance of Youth Voices in Shaping and Implementing Artificial Intelligence for Learning and Education
Get PDFThere is tremendous potential for artificial intelligence to transform learning and education. But, for the technology to truly flourish, it requires insight from its most important stakeholders, young learners. The importance of youth voices in AI for education posits that the youth should not merely be on the receiving end of AI-informed educational experiences but proactive agents with important contributions. Educators who intersect with serving the needs of young students, outstanding fluency in technological tools among their peers, and idea-generative specialists can help direct how AI offerings should be created to make more engaging ones that work efficiently while accommodating them. In this article, the investigation describes how workshops, surveys, and co-creation initiatives are necessary ways to promote youth participation. The article, therefore, advocates for youth-friendly interventions (workshops, surveys) and co-creation processes. They round out by suggesting that the representation of youth voices in the design and practice of AI for education will not only be impactful but also expected. The future depends on the potential of young minds, so technological advancements must serve as enablers rather than obstacles to progress. The insights presented here highlight the importance of actively engaging young people in AI development and outline some of the obstacles they encounter, along with strategies for empowering them to contribute to the future through intelligent educational systems

Nous visons, à travers cette étude par questionnaire à identifier des particularités de la situation de communication réelle qui ne peuvent pas être fournies dans une communication numérique en ligne. Pour ce faire, nous avons recouru à Google Forms pour l’administration du questionnaire en ligne sur les réseaux sociaux, en l’occurrence les groupes Facebook des étudiants. Ce questionnaire s’adresse aux étudiants de langues étrangères (tous niveaux confondus) de deux universités : l’université Lounici Ali –Blida2- (Algérie) et l’université de Saida Dr. Moulay Tahar (Algérie). Cette contribution se veut une réflexion sur la télécollaboration en contexte universitaire algérien. Mobilité et Transculturalité des Arts vivants en Afrique du nord :le cas de la Rahva
Get PDFThis article questions the practices of the performing arts, based on their mobility within the transcultural dynamic in which the "transfer of cultural and poetic knowledge" of the North African oral tradition operates. Our analysis focuses on the modes of enunciation and representation, referring to certain playwrights, among whom we exceptionally highlight Kateb Yacine, Abdelkader Alloula, or Tayeb Saddeki (in spoken Arabic) and Abdella Mohia (in Kabyle) for the originality of their adaptation and creation works, as well as the "combinatory system of convenience" (Galand-Pernet Paulette, 1998, pp. 159 – 220) from which the applied (or observed) dramaturgy arises during the creation processes. Knowing that conveniences are multiple and are distinguished by the tacit relationships between emitters and receivers of the same linguistic group, we have agreed, from the perspective of a "comparative and partial approach," to engage with their "poetics".in the singular, given the recurring transcultural similarities observed in the dynamics of the Rahva, both in the field of "otherness" and in syncretisms. This work thus enlightens us about the sociopoetic function of the Rahva, the sociological and anthropological conditions of its emergence, its mobility and transcultural dynamics, as well as the syncretic aliases it faces.Cet article questionne les pratiques des arts vivants, à partir de leur mobilité au sein de la dynamique transculturelle dans laquelle opère le « transfert des savoirs culturels et poétiques » de la tradition orale nord-africaine. Notre analyse porte sur les modes d’énonciation et de représentation, auxquels réfèrent certains dramaturges dont nous retenons exceptionnellement Kateb Yacine et Abdelkader Alloula ou Tayeb Saddeki (en arabe parlé) et Abdella Mohia (en kabyle) pour l’originalité de leurs travaux d’adaptation et de création, ainsi qu’au « système combinatoire de la convenance » (Galand-Pernet Paulette, 1998, pp. 159 – 220) d’où découle la dramaturgie appliquée (ou observée) durant les processus de création. Sachant que les convenances sont multiples et se distinguent par les relations tacites entre émetteurs et récepteurs du même groupe linguistique, nous sommes convenus, dans la perspective d’une « approche comparative et partielle », d’entretenir leurs « poétiques » au singulier, au vue des similarités transculturelles récurrentes à la dynamique de la Rahva, observées dans le champ des « altérités » comme dans les syncrétismes. Ce travail nous éclaire sur la fonction sociopoétique de la Rahva, les conditions sociologiques et anthropologiques de son émergence, sa mobilité et sa dynamique transculturelle, comme sur les alias sycrétiques auxquels elle est confrontée

Get PDFتناول الأدب العربي، بشِعره ونثره، القضية الفلسطينية، كما عالجها الأدب الأجنبي. إلا أن التمايز يتحقق حين تخرج بعض النصوص عن مسار الشعر والنثر التقليديين، وعن مستوى اللغة كأداة وحيدة للتعبير، إلى استخدام وسيط آخر هو الحركة، وهذا ما يجعل هذه النصوص فريدة من حيث أداة التعبير، في الوقت الذي تشهد فيه تواشجًا ثيميًّا مع القضية الفلسطينية. ومن بين هذه النصوص تبرز رقصة أصحاب الأرض. يهدف هذا البحث إلى تأويل دلالات حركات الرقصة وبيان مدى تواشجها مع القضية الفلسطينية. وقد خلصت الدراسة إلى نتائج، أهمها: أن النص الأدائي (الرقصة) تجاوز المعاني السفلية، كما تجاوز التعبير باللفظ اللغوي إلى التعبير بالحركات؛ ليُجسِّد معاني سامية وجوهرية هي في صميم القضية الفلسطينية. وهذا الجانب هو محور التفصيل والتحليل في هذه الأوراق البحثية.Both Arabic and foreign literature have addressed the Palestinian issue through poetry and prose. However, a distinctive artistic approach emerges in texts that transcend conventional literary forms and linguistic expression, instead utilizing movement as their primary medium. This shift renders such texts unique in their expressive form while maintaining thematic interconnectedness with the Palestinian cause. Among these, The Dance of the People of the Land stands as a prominent example.This research aims to interpret the semiotics of the dance movements and demonstrate their resonance with the Palestinian issue. Key findings reveal that the performance: 1-Transcends superficial or reductive interpretations. 2-Moves beyond verbal expression to articulate meaning through kinetic language. 3-Embodies fundamental values central to the Palestinian struggle.
