Bar as Meaningful Place in Migration
Get PDFThis paper presents the results of a six-month-long field research conducted in the capital of the Czech Republic in 2013. It is based on the research of a bar visited by Anglophone migrants. It aims to reveal how becoming a bar regular helped migrants to adapt to the new country and maintain their lives there. The studied group of migrants placed important practices into the space of the bar, through which they formed their meaning and memory in a new place, their new home. They domesticated the place to the extent that they had their own seats, glasses, and any newcomer, whether Czech or migrant, was observed and evaluated. The bar played the role of an intimate space; it was home-like and it was socially and materially changed by the migrants. The bar was a place where the migrants’ social bonds were performed and materialised. It was a place in the time and space of real physical contact within a migratory network

Get PDFFilosofické myšlení gymnaziální estetiky II. – Článek se vztahuje především k tématu výchovy a vzdělávání, konkrétněji k estetické pedagogice. Vychází v prvém plánu z filosofického pohledu obecně, úžeji z úhlu filosofie výchovy, přičemž se opírá o tematické složky příbuzných věd, jako jsou pedagogika a uměnověda, okrajově pak jen téma obohacuje příklady se znalostí literární a estetické výchovy. Článek je určen primárně akademickému prostředí, a to především pro užití odborné terminologie a četných odkazů na odbornou literaturu, ale je možné jej vhodně využít i odborníkům z oblasti věd o člověku, především pak z edukačního prostředí.
Philosophical thinking of high school aesthetics II. – The article relates mainly to the topic of education, more specifically to aesthetic pedagogy. It is based on the first plan from a philosophical point of view in general, more narrowly from the point of view of the philosophy of education, while relying on thematic components of related sciences such as pedagogy and art history. The article is intended primarily for the academic environment, especially for the use of professional terminology and numerous references to professional literature, but it can also be used appropriately by experts in the field of human sciences, especially in the educational environment

toto dvojité číslo e-časopisu Paideia přináší anglické verze vybraných příspěvků k problému emocionality ze společného podniku kolegů z Katedry občanské výchovy a filosofie a Katedry speciální pedagogiky z Pedagogické fakulty Univerzity Karlovy.
Uvedení do problematiky nabízí fenomenologická analýza emocí od Anny Hogenové. Naděžda Pelcová ve své příspěvku ukazuje jak laskavý humor, symptomaticky chybějící v naší současnosti, podstatně patří k výchově. Studie Davida Rybáka nabízí uvedení do Husserlových analýz emocí. Tomáš Samek přináší antropologickou analýzu ambivalence emocionality.
Druhá část příspěvků je uvedena článkem o problematice mateřství u žen s mentálními poruchami od Petry Hájkové, Ley Květoňové a Vandy Hájkové. Další příspěvek od Moniky Donevové a Vandy Hájkové se zabývá tématem života lidí po mrtvici. Kateřina Hádková a Miroslava Kotvová se ve svém článku zabývají komunikativními kompetencemi lidí s poruchou sluchu. A konečně Jana Jamrichová a Vanda Hájková se zabývají kontextem výuky žáků s poruchami autistického spektra v rámci inkluzivní školy.Dear readers,
this double issue of e-journal Paideia brings English versions of selected papers from a joint venture of colleagues from the Department of Civic Education and Philosophy and the Department of Special Education at the Faculty of Education of the Charles University, which dealt with the issue of emotionality.
Anna Hogenová’s phenomenological analysis of emotionality provides an entry into the issue. Naděžda Pelcová shows how kind humour, which is quite lacking in our present time, is essential to education. David Rybák’s study offers an entry into Husserl’s analyses of emotions. Tomáš Samek presents an anthropological approach to the ambivalence of emotionality.
The second part is introduced by the issue of motherhood in women with mental disorders by Petra Hájková, Lea Květoňová and Vanda Hájková. Another text by Monika Donevová and Vanda Hájková deals with the life of people after a stroke. Kateřina Hádková and Miroslava Kotvová present an article on communicative competences of people with hearing impairment. Finally, Jana Jamrichová and Vanda Hájková discuss the context of teaching students with autism spectrum disorders in an inclusive school

Get PDFEmocionalita ve filosofické reflexi. – Článek pojednává o pojmech emoce, lidská emocionalita nebo inkluze. Zabývá se významem, který nyní ve filosofické reflexi zaujímá výše uvedené pojmy. Porovnává různé přístupy k těmto jevům v kontextu filosofie jako samostatné společenské vědy a vyvozuje důsledky, které vyplývají z různých přístupů k těmto konceptům. Článek se pokouší zachytit důležitá fakta naší doby ve vztahu k těmto pojmům. Snaží se objektivně zhodnotit současné postavení a význam těchto pojmů ve společenském a filosofickém diskurzu. Zdůrazňuje nejtransparentnější obtíže při uchopení těchto pojmů. Zároveň přichází s možnou predikcí dalšího vývoje a jeho možného zlepšení.
Emotionality in philosophical reflection. – The article discusses the concepts of emotion, human emotionality or inclusions. It deals with meaning, which now occupy the above concepts in philosophical reflection. It compares different approaches to these phenomena in the context of philosophy, as a stand-alone social science and draws implications that arise from the different approaches to these concepts. The article attempts to capture the important facts of our time, in relation to these concepts. It tries to objectively evaluate the current position and importance of these concepts in social and philosophical discourse. It highlights the most transparent difficulties in grasping these concepts. At the same time, it comes up with a possible prediction of further development and possible improvement

Get PDFProměna, nitro a druhý. – Záměrem tohoto příspěvku je nástin myšlení francouzského existencialistického filosofa a spisovatele Gabriela Marcela. Výchozím bodem je otázka naděje a vymezení beznaděje. Podle autora naděje neznamená, že se věci ubírají konkrétním vysněným způsobem. Pravá naděje je nekonečný proces hloubení života, objevování tajemství existence. Přirozeně se v tomto procesu vyskytuje i pokušení zoufalství a beznaděje. Překročením touhy po vlastnictví, překonáním ztotožňování se s podsouvanými funkcemi a připuštěním transcendentna, dochází k proměně. Tázáním na celek bytí a uvědoměním si ontologické hloubky se dostáváme k pravé naději, přesahující tento svět.
Transformation, heart and the other. – The purpose of this paper is to outline the thinking of the French existentialist philosopher and writer Gabriel Marcel. The starting point is the question of hope and the definition of hopelessness. According to the author hope does not mean that things go in a specific dreamed way. True hope is an endless process of deepening of life, discovering the secrets of existence. Naturally, there is a temptation of despair and hopelessness in this process. By transcending of the desire for property, by overcoming of identification with the suggesting functions, and by accepting the transcendent, transformation takes place. By asking about ontology and realizing the ontological depth, we reach true hope that transcends this world

Get PDFAspekty mateřství žen s duševními poruchami a jejich vliv na vývoj dětí. – Výzkum se zaměřuje na sledování aspektů mateřství žen s duševními poruchami a jejich vlivu na raný vývoj jejich dětí. Aspekty matek s duševním onemocněním budou zkoumány jako individuální zkušenosti prostřednictvím rozhovorů s ženami, u kterých byla diagnostikována duševní porucha a které v současné době pečují o jedno nebo více dětí - kojence, batolata a předškoláky. Současně budou provedeny rozhovory s 22 referenčními osobami, které mají s těmito ženami blízké vztahy (partneři, rodiče, neformální pečovatelé a další) a možnost sledovat kvalitu interakcí těchto matek s jejich dětmi a které mohou hodnotit možný dopad onemocnění na psychomotorický a sociální vývoj těchto dětí a možný vznik speciálních potřeb v raném a předškolním věku.
Výzkum reaguje na výzvu WHO obsaženou v Evropském akčním plánu pro duševní zdraví (2004), v usnesení Evropského parlamentu o situaci žen se zdravotním postižením (2018) a v Národním akčním plánu duševního zdraví 2020-2030 Ministerstva zdravotnictví ČR, která vyzývá k přípravě systému doplňkové podpory pro děti rodičů s duševními poruchami v ČR (2019).Aspects of motherhood of women with mental disorders and their impact on children’s development. – The research focuses on the monitoring of aspects of motherhood of women with mental disorders and their impact on the early development of their children. The aspects of mothers with mental illness will be examined as individual experiences through interviews with women who have been diagnosed with a mental disorder and who currently take care of one or more children - infants, toddlers, and pre-schoolers. Simultaneously, interviews will be done with 22 reference persons who have close relationships with these women (partners, parents, non-formal caregivers, and others) and the opportunity to observe the quality of these mothers’ interactions with their children, and who can evaluate the possible impact of the disease on the psychomotor and social development of these children and the possible origin of special needs at an early and pre-school age.
The research responds to the WHO appeal included in the European Mental Health Action Plan (2004), the European Parliament Resolution on the Situation of Women with Disabilities (2018), and the National Action Plan of Mental Health 2020-2030 of the Ministry of Health of the Czech Republic that calls for the preparation of the complementary support system for the children of parents with mental disorders in the Czech Republic (2019)
Peer-feedback as a part of collaborative problem solving
Get PDFČlánek prezentuje výsledky výzkumné studie uskutečněné v rámci mezinárodního projektu nazvaného The Social Unit of Learning. Studie zkoumala způsoby interakce žáků při řešení otevřené matematické úlohy ve čtyřčlenných skupinách. Pozornost se zaměřila na identifikování forem vrstevnické zpětné vazby a jejího vlivu na proces řešení úlohy. Z analýzy vyplynulo, že se zpětná vazba objevuje v diskuzi skupiny často a má formu pozitivních (potvrzení; požádání o vysvětlení) i negativních reakcí (odmítnutí, vysvětlené nebo nevysvětlené námitky, pochybnosti). Analýza také identifikovala komunikační vzorce v diskuzi ve skupině a faktory ovlivňující kvalitu vrstevnické zpětné vazby vztahující se k obsahové struktuře problému (tematické, konceptuální a kompetenční vrstvě).The article presents a study within the international project named The Social Unit of Learning. This study examines the ways in which students interact with each other when solving an open mathematical problem in small groups (four students a group). Attention is focused on peer feedback, especially on its form and how it affects the process of solving the problem. From our analysis, feedback appears often in the group discussion and takes the form of both positive (confirmation; question asking for clarification, request for clarification, eliciting) and negative reactions (rejection, explained or unexplained objection, doubt, question involving doubt). The analysis also identified a communication pattern that generalizes the course of the group discussion and factors influencing the quality of peer feedback related to the content structure of the problem (thematic, conceptual and competence layer)
The Future Seen from the Edge of Society: Contemporary Russophone Communist Sci-Fi
No full textStudie analyzuje současnou ruskojazyčnou komunistickou science fiction a snaží se zjistit, jak tento literární proud konceptualizuje přechod ke komunistické socioekonomické formaci. Komunistická sci-fi má za to, že vědeckotechnický pokrok bude nevyhnutelně doprovázen pokrokem v oblasti společenských vztahů a morálky. Autorka dochází k závěru, že nejbližší analogií není sovětská sci-fi, ale socialisticko-realistická literatura. Komunistická sci-fi si v opozici vůči klasické marxistické pozici, hovořící o tom, že pokrokový rozvoj lidské osobnosti plyne z pokrokového rozvoje výrobních sil, představuje, že nová osobnost bude výsledkem svého druhu zázračné transformace, vyvolané silami, překračujícími lidskou imaginaci a schopnost kontroly. Autorka dochází k závěru, že tento literární žánr implicitně prohlašuje, že noví lidé budou předcházet novou komunistickou společnost. Výzkumná metodologie se zaměřuje na kritickou analýzu textů komunistických sci-fi autorů, nahlížených v širším kontextu sovětské literatury 20. století.Analysing contemporary Russophone communist science fiction, this articleaims to find out how this literary stream envisions the transition to the communistsocio-economic formation. Communist sci-fi assumes that scientificand technological progress will inevitably be accompanied by progress insocial relations and morals. The author’s position is that its closest analogyis not Soviet science fiction, but the literature of socialist realism. Contraryto the classical Marxist position that the progressive development of the humanpersonality results from the progressive development of productive forcescommunist sci-fi envisions making a new person more like a miraculoustransfiguration under the impact of the forces beyond human imaginationand control. The author concludes that this literature implicitly states that thenew people precede communist society. The research methodology consists ofthe critical analysis of texts produced by communist sci-fi writers that are seenin the broader context of Soviet literature of the 20th century
