Comparison of Screening Questionnaire Results Focusing on Environmental Infl uences when Monitoring the Development of Reading Literacy among Pupils in the 1st Grade of Primary School
No full textThe paper focuses on environmental infl uences in the development of reading literacy among primary school pupils. We build on data obtained through screening questionnaires for family and teachers, which were created and verifi ed during the standardisation of the PorTex test battery (Porozumění textu/Reading Comprehension, Kucharská et al., 2021) aimed at reading and reading comprehension assessment in Grade 1 - Grade 5 pupils. We believe that environmental factors can have an impact on the development of reading literacy and it is possible to use these environmental factors during interventions for pupils with specific learning diffi culties; they should therefore be included in diagnostics. In the following text, we will present the results of the experimental questionnaires created for the above-mentioned test battery, we will show the potential for using their outputs and how they relate to the pupils’ results in tests of reading, reading comprehension and language awareness. Hlavními účastníky akce byli zejména bulharští Češi, jejich potomci a přátelé, kterým se již mnoho let nejenom profesně věnují antropologové Lenka Jakoubková Budilová a Marek Jakoubek působící na Západočeské univerzitě v Plzni. Znovu tak v tento den ožil „duch“ vojvodovského společenství, jehož členové v letech 1945 až 1950 opustili Bulharsko a v rámci mezistátních dohod mezi Československem a Bulharskem přesídlili do československého pohraničí
On the problem of time in (the thought of) J. A. Comenius
Get PDFO problematice času u J. A. Komenského. – Jan Amos Komenský byl komplexní myslitel a jako takový také odpovídal na otázku po problematice času. Komenského chápání problematiky času je možné také (obdobně jako jiné části jeho díla) nazírat ve třech rovinách. Příspěvek se snaží nastínit tuto trojici rovin a současně je uchopit z horizontu Komenského myšlení. Zároveň je příspěvek pokusem o otevření perspektivy pro další promýšlení problematiky času a jejích východisek pro člověka. Tyto perspektivy by mohly inspirativně posloužit dnešnímu člověku v jeho bloudění labyrintem mnohosti a marnosti dnešního světa.On the problem of time in (the thought of) J. A. Comenius. – Johann Amos Comenius was a complex thinker and as such he was also attempting to deal with the question of the problem of time. Comenius’s understanding of the problem of time is possible to comprehend (similarly to other parts of his work) in three perspectives. This paper attempts to briefly outline this trio of perspectives and grasp it within the horizon of the Comenius’s thought. Concurrently, this paper attempts to open another perspective for further development of the problem and its consideration, and outcomes for human beings. These perspectives might serve today’s human as an inspiration in the wandering through the labyrinth of plurality and vanity of nowadays’ world
The Importance of the Andersen Night Project for the Development of Reading Literacy in Multilingual Education
No full textProjekt Noc s Andersenem, původně iniciovaný Knihovnou Bedřicha Beneše Buchlovana v Uherském Hradišti, se stal významnou akcí na podporu dětského čtenářství nejen v České republice, ale i v zahraničí. Tento příspěvek analyzuje jeho přínos v kontextu školnía mimoškolní literární iniciace v kontextu multilingvní výchovy a ukazuje, jak projekt prostřednictvím netradičních aktivit může ovlivnit vnímání četby jako kulturní hodnoty, motivovat děti ke čtení a podporovat jejich vztah k českému jazyku a kultuře. Příspěvek ukazuje na zkušenosti českých škol v zahraničí (konkrétně české školy v Severní Americe) s využitím tohoto projektu. Výsledky ukazují, že Noc s Andersenem nejen zvyšuje zájem dětí o čtení, ale také posiluje jejich kulturní povědomí a motivaci k učení se českému jazyku. Zvyšuje rovněž motivaci rodičů zapsat dítě do české školy.The Night with Andersen project, originally initiated by the Bedřich Beneš Buchlovan Library in Uherské Hradiště, has become a significant initiative in promoting children’s reading not only in the Czech Republic but also internationally. This paper analyzes its contribution within the context of school and extracurricular literary initiation in multilingual education and demonstrates how the project, through unconventional activities, can influence the perception of reading as a cultural value, motivate children to read, and foster their connection to the Czech language and culture. The paper highlights the experiences of Czech schools abroad (specificallyCzech schools in North America) with the implementation of this project. The results indicate that Night with Andersen not only increases children’s interest in reading but also strengthens their cultural awareness and motivation to learn the Czech language. Additionally, it enhances parents’ motivation to enroll their children in Czech schools
