Physical characterization of niobium oxides by X-ray diffraction, Raman and UV-Vis spectroscopy
No full textIn recent years, materials containing niobium have been widely investigated by the scientific community, due to their physical properties that allow important applications in high-tech industries, especially in the aerospace and electronics sectors. In this scenario, niobium oxides add value to nanoscience and nanotechnology because they are presented in different stoichiometries, such as niobium monoxide (NbO), niobium dioxide (NbOβ), and niobium pentoxide (NbβO5). The latter is the most studied phase and is used in various applications, such as in electronic and optical materials, in catalysts, in the glass and ceramics industry, among others. The present work aims to perform the physical characterization of niobium oxides through X-ray diffraction, Raman and Ultraviolet-visible spectroscopy techniques, performed on a powder sample of the oxide. For X-ray diffraction, the following parameters were used: voltage of 45 KV, scanning in βθ from 6º to 90º and Cu-Kα radiation (λ = 1.54 Å). The Raman tests were performed with a laser line λ = 5γβ nm, covering the spectral range of 50 to 1100 cm-1, with resolution of β cm-1 and an excitation power of 1 mW. For UV-Vis analysis of the sample, a UV-β600 Ultraviolet Visible Spectrophotometer was used, with a scanning range of β00 to 800 nm and medium scanning speed. From the results obtained from XRD, Raman and UV-Vis, it was possible to characterize the niobium oxides and their different identified crystalline phases, determine the crystalline structures, the preferential orientation of the planes, measure the lattice parameters, analyze the symmetry and characteristic vibration modes, verify the absorbance, transmittance, reflectance and band gap of the studied system, characterizing the phase corresponding to the spectra obtained. The results were in agreement with those presented in the literature regarding the phases, with NbβO5 being the predominant phase in the sample, confirming its important optical properties and the characteristic vibration bands of its structureNos últimos anos, os materiais que contém nióbio têm sido amplamente investigados pela
comunidade científica, em razão de suas propriedades físicas que permitem importantes
aplicações nas indústrias de alta tecnologia, sobretudo nos setores aeroespaciais e de produtos
eletroeletrônicos. Nesse cenário, os óxidos de nióbio agregam valor à nanociência e à
nanotecnologia por se apresentarem em diferentes estequiometrias, tais como, o monóxido de
nióbio (NbO), dióxido de nióbio (NbOβ), pentóxido de nióbio (NbβO5). Sendo essa última, a
fase mais estudada e usada em diversas aplicações, como em materiais eletrônicos, ópticos, em
catalisadores, na indústria de vidro e cerâmica, entre outros. O presente trabalho tem como
objetivo realizar a caracterização física dos óxidos de nióbio através das técnicas de difração de
raios X, espectroscopia Raman e Ultravioleta-visível, realizadas numa amostra em pó do óxido.
Para a difração de raios X, foram utilizados os seguintes parâmetros: tensão de 45 KV, varredura
em βθ de 6º a 90º e radiação Cu-Kα (λ = 1,54 Å). Os testes Raman foram feitos com uma linha
de laser λ = 5γβ nm, abrangendo a faixa espectral de 50 a 1100 cm-1, com resolução de β cm-1
e uma potência de excitação de 1 mW. Para análises de UV-Vis da amostra, foi empregado um
espectrofotômetro de Ultravioleta Visível UV-β600, com faixa de varredura de β00 a 800 nm e
velocidade de escaneamento média. A partir dos resultados obtidos do DRX, Raman e UV-Vis,
foi possível caracterizar os óxidos de nióbio e suas diferentes fases cristalinas identificadas,
determinar as estruturas cristalinas, a orientação preferencial dos planos, medir os parâmetros
de rede, analisar a simetria e os modos de vibração característicos, verificar a absorbância,
transmitância, reflectância e o band gap do sistema estudado, caracterizando a fase
correspondente aos espectros obtidos. Os resultados mostraram-se de acordo com os
apresentados na literatura acerca das fases, sendo o NbβO5 a fase predominante na amostra,
confirmando as suas importantes propriedades ópticas e as bandas de vibrações características
de sua estrutur
Synthesis and characterization of graphene through carbonization and activation of babassu coconut biomass in an adapted microwave oven
No full textIn this work, the synthesis and characterization of graphene-based materials were carried out using babassu coconut biomass as raw material, through a carbonization and activation process in an adapted microwave oven. The process involved the carbonization of the biomass at controlled temperatures, followed by a preliminary physical activation and a subsequent chemical activation, to obtain a carbonaceous material with an adequate structure. The characterization of the materials was done by Raman and UV-Vis spectroscopy, confirming the presence of graphene-based structures. The results indicate that babassu coconut biomass is a viable source for the production of graphene-based materials, such as graphene oxide and reduced graphene oxide, with future potential for obtaining pure grapheneNeste trabalho, foi realizada a síntese e caracterização de materiais à base de grafeno utilizando
a biomassa do coco babaçu como matéria-prima, através de um processo de carbonização e
ativação em um forno de micro-ondas adaptado. O processo envolveu a carbonização da

química subsequente, para obter um material carbonáceo com estrutura adequada. A

No full textThe main objective of this work is to analyze Heathcliff's anti-heorism in the literary
work Wuthering Heights by Emile Brontë and its characterization in 2011 for a film
adaptation by filmmaker and screenwriter Andrea Arnold. Highlighting its
transformations, losses and gains and implications of this reinterpretation for cinema.
Showing through a comparative study the character Heathcliff being an anti-hero and
not just a villain as demonstrated in the 2011 adaptation. Studies related to cinema,
concepts of evil, effects of oppression, racism, xenophobia and English society were
of utmost importance of the 19th century. Given this, it was possible to understand
this individual outside the “standard” and how this contributed to his transgression
and reflection so that the concept of this character is seen as a villain. To develop
this research, some theoretical contributions and literary critics were used, such as
Scoz (2018), Burges (1996), Kothe (1994), Hutcheon (2006), Guimarães (2003),
Cosson (2014), Stam (2008), BRAIT (1987) and others. Through the readings that
were possible to analyze, it is concluded that the character Heathcliff is part of a
concept of anti-hero written by its author Émile Brontë, who was ahead of her time
with her unique work published that continues into contemporary times, it is clear that
his creation is not an evil being or a villain, but rather an anti-hero who was created
as a reflection of Victorian society.O presente trabalho tem como principal objetivo analisar o anti-heorismo de
Heathcliff da obra literária, Morro Dos Ventos Uivantes de Emile Brontë e sua
caracterização em 2011para adaptação cinematográfica da cineasta e roteirista
Andrea Arnold. Destacando suas transformações, perdas e ganhos e implicações
dessa releitura para o cinema. Mostrando através de um estudo comparado o
personagem Heathcliff sendo anti-herói e não só um vilão como demonstrado na
adaptação de 2011. Foram de suma importância os estudos relacionados ao
cinema, conceitos de mal, efeitos de opressão, racismo, xenofobia e a sociedade
inglesa do século XIX. Diante disso, foi possível entender esse indivíduo fora do
“padrão” e como isso contribuiu para sua transgressão e reflexo para que o conceito
desde personagem seja visto como vilão. Para o desenvolvimento desta pesquisa
foram utilizadas algumas contribuições teóricas e críticos literários como o de Scoz
(2018), Burges (1996), Kothe (1994), Hutcheon (2006), Guimarães (2003), Cosson
(2014), Stam (2008), Brait (1987) e outros. Mediante as leituras que foram possíveis
analisar conclui-se que o personagem Heathcliff encontra-se em um conceito de
anti-herói escrito por sua autora Émile Brontë que estava à frente do seu tempo com

Representation and stereotypes of black women in the work Mulher Mat(r)iz by Miriam Alves
No full textIn this paper, we analyze the representation and stereotypes of the black female figure in the work "Mulher Mat(r)iz" by Miriam Alves, focusing on the short stories "Um Só Gole" and "Cinco Cartas para Rael". The aim is to understand how the author addresses issues of identity, power, friendship, love and affection in ontemporary
Brazilian literature. It highlights the importance of giving voice to the narratives of black women, who are often marginalized and under-represented, and Alves' significant contribution to the debate on racial and gender identity. Literature reflects social and cultural structures, and Alves' work allows us to explore the experiences and challenges of black women, deconstructing stereotypes and offering a multifaceted view. The textual analysis and literary criticism is based on theoretical references on racial and gender identity, in order to identify and discuss the representations of black female characters and the stereotypes deconstructed by the author. This study aims to recognize and value the literary contribution of Miriam Alves, highlighting the

Fronteiras de imagens: cinema e conflitos agrários no ensino de História
Get PDFThe present monographic work aims to analyze the documentary "Fronteiras de Imagens" by
the Maranhense filmmaker Murilo Santos, and to discuss its use as a didactic tool for teaching
History. Produced in 2009, the documentary consists of memories of experiences lived by the
director himself during his contact with the families of Centro do Bala, especially with the
settler Domingos Bala and his family, located in the region of the Carú River Valley, in pre
Amazon Maranhão. This monograph seeks to briefly situate the trajectory of filmmaker
Murilo Santos, bringing to light his field of action addressed in his cinematographic works.
Thus, the analysis of his documentary "Fronteiras de Imagens" (2009) is essential to use it for
teaching History in the classroom. The documentary under review is composed of images
recorded by Murilo himself and narrated by him about the situations experienced by those
families between 1979 and 1986, also addressing the production used to make the award
winning documentary "Bandeiras Verdes" (1988). The work seeks ways to apply the studied
documentary in the school environment to promote education of young people about the
agrarian issue in Contemporary Maranhão, considering the challenges and possibilities when
using cinema as a tool in History teaching. Thus, Murilo Santos has become a reference in the
editing of films about rural life in Maranhão, exposing his denunciations and criticisms
through his art, cinema, resulting in a rich material to be critically analyzed, reflecting on the
relationship between Cinema and History and the use of cinema as a pedagogical resource for
teaching History.O presente trabalho monográfico possui como objetivo a análise do documentário Fronteiras
de Imagens do cineasta maranhense Murilo Santos, e a discussão do seu uso como ferramenta
didática para o ensino de História. Produção realizada em 2009, é composta por memórias de
experiências vivenciadas pelo próprio diretor no período em que esteve em contato com as
famílias do Centro do Bala, especialmente com o assituante Domingos Bala e sua família,
localizado na região do Vale do rio Carú, na Amazônia maranhense. Esta monografia busca
situar de forma sucinta a trajetória do cineasta Murilo Santos, trazendo à tona a sua área de
pesquisa através de seus trabalhos cinematográficos. Assim, a análise de seu documentário
Fronteiras de Imagens (2009) é imprescindível, a fim de utilizá-lo para o ensino de História

Between chivalry and holiness (Portugal - 15th century): Nuno Álvares Pereira, a medieval hero in History Teaching
No full textThe present work seeks to demonstrate the points of contact between History and Literature
during the Middle Ages. In this sense, using the context of Portugal during the late Middle Ages
to analyze the figure of the knight, specifically through the constable Nuno Álvares Pereira who
had a great participation in the 138331385 Portuguese interregnum. Titled as the greatest knight
of Portugal in documentation, such as Crônica do Condestável de Portugal by an anonymous
author, as well as A Crónica de D. João I, by Fernão Lopes, written in the 15th century, it is
described that this is an influence of arthurian narratives. Specifically, it is said that the
Constable was influenced by the figure of the literary knight Galahad from the novel The Quest
for the Holy Grail, from the 13th century. Both characters carry elements that make up an
idealized model of behavior of a Christian knight to the point that Nuno Álvares Pereira was
canonized in the contemporary era, thus demonstrating the influence of the Middle Ages in the
present day.O presente trabalho tem como objetivo demonstrar os pontos de contato existentes entre a
História e a Literatura durante a Idade Média. Nesse sentido, utilizando o contexto de Portugal
durante o final do Medievo para analisar a figura do cavaleiro, especificamente através do
condestável Nuno Álvares Pereira que teve grande participação no Movimento de Avis.
Intitulado como maior cavaleiro de Portugal na documentação, como A Crónica do Condestável
de Portugal por um autor anônimo, bem como A Crónica de D. João I, de Fernão Lopes,
escritos no século XV, é descrito que isso é influência de narrativas arturianas. Especificamente
é dito que o Condestável foi influenciado pela figura do cavaleiro literário Galaaz da obra A
Demanda do Santo Graal, do século XIII. Os dois carregam elementos que compõem um
modelo de comportamento idealizado de cavaleiro cristão ao ponto que Nuno Álvares Pereira
foi canonizado na atualidade, assim, demonstrando a influência do Medievo na
contemporaneidade
Macabéa's hour: the image of decadence and the conflicts of the fictional character
No full textThe Hour of the Star portrays the journey of Macabéa, an orphan from the hinterlands who
migrated to Rio de Janeiro in search of a better life. The character serves as a representation
of marginalized and excluded social groups due to their socioeconomic status. This study
aims to analyze the developments of Macabéa's character throughout the narrative of The
Hour of the Star, the social relationships she establishes, and the context in which she is
situated. The specific objectives include reflecting on the interaction between literature and
society in The Hour of the Star; investigating the conflicts and missteps of the fictional
character within the research corpus; and examining how the interpersonal relationships
between Macabéa and the characters Olímpico and Rodrigo S. M. reveal social issues. By
focusing on the social aspect that the protagonist unveils, a path is opened for understanding
and analyzing the portrayal of social inequality present in the work. Therefore, this research is
justified by considering that through this fictional narrative, we can explore and discuss issues
such as poverty and social exclusion, recurring themes in Brazilian Literature. To support the
arguments presented, we draw on the studies of Candido (1980), who offers reflections on the
relationship between literature and society, as well as his study on the fictional character
Candido (2009); regarding Clarice Lispector's writing, the research of Nunes (1989), Bosi
(2006), and Candido (1977 and 1989) were considered. Weintraub (2017), who discusses The
Hour of the Star, and Gotlib (2017), who has conducted extensive research on the corpus of
this monograph, were also consulted. In the conclusion of this work, it was understood that
through her writing, Clarice Lispector establishes parallels between fiction and reality by
representing migrants and people from the hinterlands through her protagonist, bringing to
light the important discussion about the role of the fictional character, as explored by Candido
(2009). Thus, Macabéa represents the thousands of people who live on the margins of society,
remaining in a place of exclusion and invisibility. It is hoped that through the discussions and
analyses presented, reflections on themes such as marginalization and social exclusion, as
well as the need for policies aimed at solving such problems, will be expandedA Hora da Estrela retrata a trajetória de Macabéa, uma sertaneja órfã, que migrou para o Rio
de Janeiro em busca de uma vida melhor. A personagem é um retrato de grupos sociais
marginalizados e excluídos devido à sua condição socioeconômica. O presente estudo tem
como objetivo geral analisar os desdobramentos da personagem Macabéa no percurso
narrativo de A Hora da Estrela, as relações sociais que são estabelecidas bem como a
conjuntura em que está inserida; como objetivos específicos buscou-se refletir sobre a
interação entre literatura e sociedade em A Hora da Estrela; investigar os conflitos e
descaminhos da personagem de ficção no corpus da pesquisa; averiguar como as relações
interpessoais entre Macabéa e os personagens Olímpico e Rodrigo S. M. revelam questões
sociais. Ao debruçar-se sobre o aspecto social que a protagonista desvela, abre-se um
caminho para compreensão e análise do retrato da desigualdade social presentes na obra.
Assim, a presente pesquisa justifica-se levando em consideração que, através desta narrativa
de ficção, podemos explorar e discutir questões como pobreza e exclusão social, temas
recorrentes na Literatura Brasileira. Para embasar os argumentos defendidos recorremos aos
estudos de Candido (1980), que apresenta reflexões a respeito das relações entre a literatura e
a sociedade, bem como o seu estudo sobre a personagem de ficção Candido (2009); no que
diz respeito à escrita de Clarice Lispector foram consideradas as pesquisas de Nunes (1989),
Bosi (2006) e Candido (1977 e 1989). Também foram consultados Weintraub (2017), que
trata da obra A Hora da Estrela e Gotlib (2017), que possui uma pesquisa consolidada a
respeito do corpus desta monografia. Ao final deste trabalho, chegou-se ao entendimento que
através de sua obra, Clarice Lispector estabelece paralelos entre ficção e realidade, ao
representar migrantes e sertanejos por meio de sua protagonista, trazendo à tona a importante
discussão a respeito do papel da personagem de ficção, tal como é explorado por Candido
(2009). Logo, Macabéa representa as milhares de pessoas que vivem à margem da sociedade,
permanecendo em um lugar de exclusão e invisibilidade. Esperamos que, através das
discussões e análises feitas, sejam ampliadas as reflexões acerca de temas como
marginalização e exclusão social, bem como a necessidade de políticas voltadas à solução de
tais problema
Municipal public management and sustainability in cities in the interior of Maranhão
No full textIn recent years, there has been a constant transformation of the environment, changes
that can affect the balance of life. Starting from this point, the need to develop research was
sought to observe the participation of public authorities in relation to the preservation and
development of sustainability. Responding to the research problem, What is the level of
incorporation of sustainability into public management practices? Seeking to: identify the levels
of administrative knowledge of public managers, analyze the vision of municipal public
managers in relation to the society they represent and verify the perspective of public managers
in relation to environmental sustainability. Using a quantitative and qualitative approach,
through field research, thus collecting the inherent data by applying an online questionnaire
through Google Forms to municipal public managers in the cities of Codó and Timbiras
Maranhão. Considering that, despite the effective participation of public authorities in relation
to the development of sustainability, some challenges arise, municipal public management has
been studying and developing measures to resolve these problems and is increasingly becoming
a participatory management with regard to sustainability.Nos últimos anos, observa-se a constante transformação do meio ambiente,
transformações essas que podem afetar o equilíbrio da vida. Partindo desse ponto, buscouse
a necessidade em elaborar uma pesquisa a qual venha a observar qual a participação
do poder público em relação a preservação e o desenvolvimento da sustentabilidade.
Respondendo a problemática da pesquisa, qual o nível de incorporação da
sustentabilidade nas práticas de gestão pública? Buscando: identificar os níveis de
conhecimento administrativos dos gestores públicos, analisar a visão dos gestores
públicos municipais em relação a sociedade a qual eles representam e verificar a
perspectiva dos gestores públicos em relação a sustentabilidade ambiental. Utilizando de
uma abordagem quantitativa e qualitativa, através de uma pesquisa de campo, coletando
assim os dados inerentes com aplicação de questionário online através do Google Forms
para com os gestores públicos municipais da cidade de Codó e Timbiras Maranhão.
Constando que, a uma participação efetiva do poder público em relação ao
desenvolvimento da sustentabilidade, embora, surja alguns desafios a gestão pública
municipal vem estudando e elaborando medidas de sanar esses problemas e torna-se cada

Social project drumming hope: Musical pedagogy as a bridge for transformation
No full textThis study investigates the impact of the Batucando a Esperança project on social transformation through music in community contexts. Thus, the central objective is to analyze how the project’s practices contribute to active participation, inclusion and empowerment, promoting social change and strengthening community ties. Adopting a qualitative approach, the study involves a literature review with direct observation of pedagogical practices. Data collection seeks to understand the effectiveness of the methodological strategies used. The results highlight the active participation and engagement of the community in the musical activities, evidencing the effectiveness of the pedagogical practices. Inclusion is perceived in the diversity of participants involved. The interpretations consolidate the positive impact on the participants’ self-esteem and sense of community. It is concluded that the Batucando a Esperança project plays a significant role in social transformation, using music as a catalyst. Methodological practices not only teach music, but create a transformative experience, strengthening social bonds, inspiring positive changes in the community, and contributing to the understanding of the potential of music as an agent of social transformation in community contextsEste estudo investiga o impacto do projeto Batucando a Esperança na transformação social por

Esperança desempenha um papel significativo na transformação social, utilizando a música
