The neoliberal influence on the mitigation of labor rights: an analysis case law regarding the recognition of the employment relationship of app drivers
No full textThis study aims to analyze the process of structural mitigation of labor rights,
resulting from neoliberal influences and their consequent impacts on the employment
scenario of app drivers, observing the stance of the judiciary regarding the process of
judicialization of the claim for recognition of the employment relationship. For this
purpose, the neoliberal influences for the mitigation of labor rights recognized by
Brazilian legislation are observed. Attention is paid to the impact of this mitigation on
new labor relations, with a focus on identifying the current legal framework of app
drivers in view of the absence or deficiency of regulation on the professional
category. Finally, the stance of the Judiciary will be examined regarding the demands
for recognition of the employment relationship of app drivers, with emphasis on
decisions of the Labor Courts of the 16th Region, the Regional Labor Court of the
16th Region, the Superior Labor Court and the Supreme Federal Court.O presente estudo visa analisar o processo de mitigação estrutural de direitos
trabalhistas, decorrentes das influências neoliberais e seus consequentes impactos
ao cenário empregatício dos motoristas de aplicativo, observando a postura do
poder judiciário ante o processo de judicialização ao pleito do reconhecimento da
relação de emprego. Para essa finalidade, observa-se as influências neoliberais para
a mitigação de direitos trabalhistas reconhecidos pela legislação brasileira. Em
respeito à tese deste presente trabalho, atentar-se-á aos impactos mitigadores
neoliberais às novas relações de trabalho, sob enfoque na identificação do
enquadramento jurídico atual dos motoristas de aplicativo ante a ausência ou
deficiência de regulação sobre a categoria profissional e a consequente
judicialização do pleito. Far-se-á como antítese, as observações de possíveis
incongruências normativas e jurisprudenciais, ante desalinhos doutrinários, frente a
dicotomia da autonomia levantada pelas plataformas digitais, ante a presença
material de subordinação, e jurisprudenciais, apontando possíveis desalinhos em
relação à aplicação de normas principiológicas trabalhistas. Por derradeiro, será
examinado a postura do Poder Judiciário diante das demandas de reconhecimento
do vínculo empregatício dos motoristas de aplicativo, com o destaque para decisões
das Varas de Trabalho da 16ª Região, do Tribunal Regional do Trabalho da 16ª

Prevalence and factors associated with psychological distress among nurses in a reference hospital
No full textNurses often face factors that contribute to psychological suffering, immersed in a work environment where labor force coexists with the demands of an increasingly selective market and unfavorable conditions. Thus, the aim was to estimate the prevalence and identify factors associated with psychological distress among nurses in a reference hospital. This is a descriptive and cross-sectional research, with a quantitative approach, involving 24 clinical nurses. The setting for this investigation was the city of Caxias do Maranhão, specifically a reference hospital for urgency and emergency. Data collection took place from July to August 2023, through the application of a form, containing sociodemographic, professional data and aspects related to prevalence and factors associated with psychological distress. Furthermore, the Social Support and Self-Report Questionnaire (SRQ-20) scales were used. To analyze the collected data, an approach was adopted based on the usual procedures of descriptive statistics, using absolute and relative frequencies, in addition to bivariate analyses, with a view to possible associations between different categorical variables of exposure and the outcome related to suffering. psychic of the participants. The results showed the prevalence of psychological suffering in 8 (33%) of nurses and the factors that most contributed to psychological suffering were: scarcity of human and material resources; the devaluation of work; communication problems; organizational aspects and work overload. In this way, it was possible to obtain an overview of the prevalence and factors related to psychological distress faced by nurses, suggesting the need for policies and practices to address these issues.Enfermeiros frequentemente enfrentam fatores que contribuem para o sofrimento psíquico, imersos em um ambiente de trabalho onde a força laboral coexiste com as demandas de um mercado cada vez mais seletivo e condições desfavoráveis. Assim, objetou-se estimar a prevalência e identificar fatores associados ao sofrimento psíquico entre enfermeiros em um hospital de referência. Trata-se de uma pesquisa descritiva e transversal, com abordagem quantitativa, envolvendo 24 enfermeiros assistenciais. O cenário dessa investigação foi o município de Caxias do Maranhão, especificamente um hospital de referência em urgência e emergência. A coleta de dados ocorreu nos meses de julho a agosto de 2023, por meio da aplicação de um formulário, contendo dados sociodemográficos, profissionais e aspectos relacionados a prevalência e fatores associados ao sofrimento psíquico. E ainda, foram utilizadas as escalas de Apoio Social e Self-Report Questionnaire (SRQ-20). Para a análise dos dados coletados, adotou-se uma abordagem baseada nos procedimentos usuais da estatística descritiva, por meio das frequências absoluta e relativa, além de análises bivariadas, com vistas a possíveis associações entre diferentes variáveis categóricas de exposição e o desfecho relacionado ao sofrimento psíquico dos participantes. Os resultados apontaram a prevalência de sofrimento psíquico de 8(33%) dos enfermeiros e os fatores que mais contribuíram para o sofrimento psíquico foram: escassez de recursos humanos e materiais; a desvalorização do trabalho; problemas de comunicação; aspectos organizacionais e a sobrecarga de trabalho. Dessa forma, foi possível obter um panorama acerca da prevalência e fatores relacionados ao sofrimento psíquico enfrentados por enfermeiros, sugerindo a necessidade de políticas e práticas para enfrentar essas questões
Mathematics education for deaf students: a study carried out at the Balsas MA Municipal Education Network
No full textThis work discusses the education of the deaf, presenting a trajectory marked by challenges and achievements, from the beginnings of society with exclusionary principles to the present day in the search for inclusion, revealing to us that it is a complex and still little studied topic. In the field of Mathematics Education, there are many challenges to be faced such as language barriers and lack of accessible materials. This work analyzes the process of teaching Mathematics to deaf students in the Municipal Education Network of the city of Balsas - MA, through a qualitative approach and field research for data collection, having as its main foundation the work of Costa (2013 ). together with Borges (2013), Miranda and Miranda (2011), Costa and Silveira (2014) and Nascimento (2019). Based on the results obtained, we realized that deaf education in the municipality faces some challenges such as teachers' lack of knowledge about Libras and the absence of interpreters in classrooms, highlighting the need for investments, from the continued training of teachers to working with deaf students, acquiring trained professionals and materials adapted for working with deaf peopleO presente trabalho discorre sobre a educação de surdos, apresentando uma trajetória marcada por desafios e conquistas, desde os primórdios da sociedade com princípios excludentes até os dias atuais na busca por inclusão, nos revelando ser um tema complexo e ainda pouco estudado. No campo da Educação Matemática, existem muitos desafios a serem enfrentados como barreiras linguísticas e falta de materiais acessíveis. Esse trabalho analisa o processo de ensino de Matemática para alunos surdos na Rede Municipal de Educação da cidade de Balsas - MA, por meio de uma abordagem qualitativa e da pesquisa de campo para coleta de dados, tendo como fundamentação principal o trabalho de Costa (2013). juntamente com Borges (2013), Miranda e Miranda (2011), Costa e Silveira (2014) e Nascimento (2019). Analysis of the applicability of thermal insulation using cardboard packaging: case study in Bacabal-MA
No full textThis research examines the use of carton packaging as a thermal blanket and its application in buildings. These packages have a reflective surface capable of preventing or slowing down solar radiation, resulting in environments with favorable thermal conditions and reducing discomfort caused by heat transfer. We aimed to gather data to create a blanket and conduct temperature tests, to ensure substantial thermal performance while also mitigating pollution by decreasing environmental disposal. The methodology employed is descriptive, qualitative, and quantitative, involving a bibliographic survey complemented by analysis and numerical data, based on articles, monographs, and dissertations focusing on packaging as the main subject of study. The results of this research represent a significant advancement in technological developments arising from the use of reusable materials in civil construction. Given the characteristics and effectiveness of carton packaging, its application could improve thermal conditions in homes, enhancing comfort. Additionally, due to the low cost of these thermal blankets, various benefits may emerge, particularly for low-income individuals who cannot afford cooling appliances and/or their maintenance. Therefore, it can be concluded that using this blanket significantly contributes to waste reduction and provides substantial benefits for its users.CNPQEsta pesquisa aborda o estudo do uso de embalagens cartonadas, como manta térmica e seu uso nas edificações. Essas embalagens possuem uma superfície reflexiva capaz de impedir ou retardar a radiação solar, resultando em um ambiente com boa condição térmica e diminuindo o desconforto gerado pela transferência de calor. Buscou-se reunir dados com o propósito de fazer uma manta e realizar testes de temperatura, a fim de garantir condições térmicas consideráveis e ainda diminuir a poluição em virtude da redução de seu descarte no meio ambiente. O método utilizado neste trabalho é de caráter descritivo, de natureza quali- quantitativa, onde foi aplicado o levantamento bibliográfico juntamente com analises e dados numéricos, baseando-se em artigos, monografias e dissertações que tem as embalagens como principal objeto de estudo. Os resultados desta pesquisa demostram um grande passo no avanço tecnológico gerado pela utilização de materiais reutilizáveis na construção civil, pois com as caracteristicas da embalagem cartona e seu bom desempenho, seu uso pode mudar as condições térmicas em uma residência gerando maior conforto e em virtude do baixo custo na convecção das mantas, diversos benefícios podem surgir, principalmente para pessoas de baixa renda que não tem condições de adquirir aparelhos de refrigeração e/ou custear sua manutenção. Diante disso, conclui-se que a utilização da manta contribui significativamente para a redução de resíduos e traz ótimos benefícios a quem opta por usá-la
Proposal of sustainable construction techniques in indigenous communities: a case study in Aldeia Januária, a municipality in Bom Jardim - MA
No full textThe sustainable construction movement gained prominence at the end of the 20th
century, driven by increasing environmental concerns and the need for more eco-friendly
solutions. During the 1970s and 1980s, events such as the oil crisis heightened these concerns,
leading to the development of more energy-efficient and environmentally friendly technologies
and practices. A significant milestone was the establishment of the U.S. Green Building Council
in 1993, responsible for the LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design)
certification system, a global standard for sustainable buildings. Sustainable construction
prioritizes the use of materials and practices that reduce environmental impact, such as ecofriendly building materials, energy efficiency, and consideration of indoor air quality and
thermal comfort. However, in indigenous communities like the village of Januária, there are
specific challenges related to housing construction, as preserving cultural traditions and using
local materials are essential. For example, the traditional construction technique of taipa is
valued for its sustainability and integration with the local environment. This study aims to
identify the challenges and specific needs of sustainable construction in the village of Januária,
proposing improvements and considering the use of local materials. The methodology includes
interviews, questionnaires, and analysis of construction materials. It is hoped that this study
will contribute to the development of sustainable building techniques that respect local cultural
traditions.CNPQO movimento da construção sustentável ganhou destaque no final do século XX,
impulsionado pela crescente preocupação ambiental e a necessidade de soluções mais
ecológicas. Nos anos 1970 e 1980, eventos como a crise do petróleo intensificaram essa
preocupação, levando ao desenvolvimento de tecnologias e práticas mais eficientes em termos
de energia e ambientalmente amigáveis. Um marco importante foi a fundação do Conselho de
Construção Verde dos EUA em 1993, responsável pelo sistema de certificação LEED
(Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design), um padrão global para edifícios
sustentáveis. A construção sustentável prioriza o uso de materiais e práticas que reduzem o
impacto ambiental, como materiais de construção ecológicos, eficiência energética e
consideração da qualidade do ar e conforto térmico. No entanto, em comunidades indígenas,
como a aldeia Januária, existem desafios específicos relacionados à edificação de moradias,
pois preservação das tradições culturais e o uso de materiais locais são essenciais. Por exemplo,
a técnica tradicional de construção de taipa é valorizada por sua sustentabilidade e integração
com o ambiente local. Neste estudo, o objetivo é identificar os desafios e necessidades
específicas da construção sustentável na aldeia Januária, propondo melhorias e considerando o

Nurses' approach to the sexual and reproductive health of adolescents: a narrative review
No full textINTRODUCTION: Adolescence is a phase of doubts and experiments, in which various
questions and fears arise, especially related to sexuality, causing young people to seek
information from each other, on the internet or even not seek it at all. In this sense,
communication and assistance to adolescents in conjunction with health services, the
community, parents and educators, in a holistic way, is important, as they play an
important role in the social lives of young people. OBJECTIVE: Prepare a synthesis of
scientific publications about nursing interventions to promote the sexual and
reproductive health of adolescents. METHOD: This is a narrative literature review
study, constructed through a search for scientific publications in the Latin American
and Caribbean Literature (LILACS) databases; Scientific Electronic Library Online
(Scielo); Academic Google; Virtual Health Library/Nursing Database (VHL/BDENF);
and Basic Care Notebooks of the Ministry of Health. RESULTS: 2,043 publications
were identified, based on reading the title, summary and full text, 2,028 were excluded
as they did not match the theme and inclusion criteria, the remaining 15 articles used
in the preparation of this study. CONCLUSION: In view of the above throughout this
review, the importance of providing comprehensive health care to adolescents, mainly
related to sexual and reproductive health, is reiterated, in order to contribute to their
positive sexual development and correct knowledge regarding the topic . The nurse
has a special role as a facilitator, in which he can implement these activities and bring
the target audience closer to health services, in addition to being able to contribute to
improving the quality of life of adolescentsINTRODUÇÃO: A adolescência é uma fase de dúvidas e experimentações, na qual
surgem diversos questionamentos e medos, especialmente relacionados a
sexualidade, fazendo com que os jovens busquem informações uns com os outros,
na internet ou até mesmo não busquem. Nesse sentido, se faz importante a
comunicação e assistência aos adolescentes em conjunto com os serviços de saúde,
a comunidade, os pais e os educadores, de forma holística, já que esses
desempenham papel importante na vida social dos jovens. OBJETIVO: Elaborar uma
síntese das publicações científicas acerca das intervenções de enfermagem para a
promoção da saúde sexual e reprodutiva de adolescentes. MÉTODO: Trata-se de um
estudo do tipo revisão narrativa da literatura, construída por meio de uma busca de
publicações científicas nas bases de dados Literatura Latino-americana e do Caribe
(LILACS); Scientific Electronic Library Online (Scielo); Google Acadêmico; Biblioteca
Virtual em Saúde/Base de dados de Enfermagem (BVS/BDENF); e Cadernos de
Atenção Básica do Ministério da Saúde. RESULTADOS: Foram identificadas 2.043
publicações, a partir da leitura de título, resumo e texto na íntegra, foram excluídos
2.028 por não condizerem com o tema e os critérios de inclusão, restante 15 artigos
usados na elaboração deste estudo. CONCLUSÃO: É de extrema importância a
prestação de cuidados de saúde integrais com os adolescentes, principalmente
relacionados a saúde sexual e reprodutiva, de modo a contribuir para seu
desenvolvimento sexual positivo e saberes corretos a respeito do tema. O enfermeiro
possui um papel especial de facilitador, em que ele pode implementar essas atividades
e aproximar o público-alvo aos serviços de saúde, além de, também, poder contribuir

Leprosy: a study on prejudice and social exclusion
No full textThe lack of knowledge about many diseases can lead to misinformation about their
epidemiological aspects, causing people to build their knowledge based on common sense,
generating preconceived opinions. In view of this social panorama, this study focuses on the
following issues: Why is leprosy still viewed from a prejudiced perspective? How important is
information to overcome social exclusion and raise awareness about this infectious disease?
And what are the main factors that define the persistence of mistaken knowledge and prejudice
about leprosy? It is understood that it is important to know and understand all the factors related
to leprosy, from the cause to the social problems generated by it. To this end, this research,
through a systematic bibliographic review, aims to answer the aforementioned questions and,
in its general objective, determine, through data from the academic literature, the importance
of social awareness and early diagnosis of leprosy in eradicating the prejudice generated by
misinformation about the disease. And its specific objectives are to demystify the stigma of the
infectious disease leprosy; to point out the factors that justify the importance of early diagnosis
of leprosy; and also to understand the formation of social awareness about leprosy over the last
fourteen years (2010-2024) of scientific publications on the consequences of social segregation
of leprosy sufferers. This research is qualitative, descriptive in nature, and therefore, we chose
the study method based on a systematic review of the literature, focusing on studies that
determine factors that contribute to the persistence of social segregation in relation to leprosy
sufferers. The perpetuation of prejudice, as inferred from the articles analyzed in this study, can
be attributed to four primary factors: misinformation; reactive outbreaks triggered by drug
treatment; the continued association of leprosy with cases registered before the development of
effective prophylaxis to combat the pathogen; and the deformities and loss of limbs caused by
late diagnosis of the disease, which consequently instigate a repulsion coming even from the
sufferer of the disease. It is a fact that there are other elements that reinforce the prejudice
against leprosy sufferers, such as the incipient training of health professionals who are assigned
to care for leprosy patients and religious and folkloric beliefs, which arise in common sense.
However, all these aggravating factors are derived from a single factor: the lack of access to
pertinent information. There is, therefore, an urgent need to provide the various audiences that
make up Brazilian society, in their different locations, ethnicities, genders and cultures, with
health education that overcomes any and all doubts about leprosy, emphasizing that it is a
curable disease and that joint action by the entire community is required to identify any
suspicious sign of infestation by the microbe early and immediately refer the suspect to the
nearest basic health unit, so that a clinical examination and all appropriate procedures can be
carried out to confirm or rule out the infectionA falta de conhecimento sobre muitas doenças pode ocasionar em desinformação acerca dos
seus aspectos epidemiológicos, fazendo com que as pessoas construam seu conhecimento
baseadas no senso comum, gerando opiniões pré-concebidas. Em vista desse panorama social,
o presente estudo debruça-se sobre os seguintes problemas: Por que a hanseníase ainda é vista
sob uma ótica preconceituosa? Qual a importância da informação para a superação da exclusão
social e para a sensibilização sobre essa doença infecciosa? E quais são os principais fatores
que definem a persistência dos conhecimentos equivocados e do preconceito sobre a hanseníase?
Entende-se que é importante conhecer e compreender todos os fatores relacionados à hanseníase,
desde a causa, até os problemas sociais gerados pela mesma. Para tanto, esta pesquisa, por meio
de uma revisão bibliográfica do tipo sistemática, visa responder aos questionamentos
supracitados e em seu objetivo geral, determinar, através de dados da literatura acadêmica, a
importância da conscientização social e do diagnóstico precoce da hanseníase na erradicação
do preconceito gerado pela desinformação sobre a doença. E em seus objetivos específicos,
desmistificar o estigma da doença infectocontagiosa hanseníase; apontar os fatores que
justificam a importância do diagnóstico precoce da hanseníase; e ainda entender a formação da
consciência social sobre a hanseníase ao longo dos últimos quatorze anos (2010-2024) de
publicações científicas sobre as consequências da segregação social aos hansenianos. Esta
pesquisa é de natureza qualitativa, do tipo descritiva, para tanto, optou-se pelo método de estudo
baseado em revisão sistemática da literatura, tendo como foco os estudos que determinam
fatores que contribuem para a persistência da segregação social em relação aos hansenianos. A
perpetuação do preconceito, conforme inferido nos artigos analisados neste estudo, pode ser
atribuído a quatro fatores primordiais: a desinformação; os surtos reativos desencadeados pelo
tratamento medicamentoso; a permanência da associação da hanseníase aos casos registrados
antes do desenvolvimento de uma profilaxia efetiva para combater o patógeno; e as
deformidades e perdas de membros geradas pelo diagnóstico tardio da doença, que instigam,
consequentemente, uma repulsa proveniente até do próprio portador da enfermidade. É fato que
existem outros elementos que reforçam o preconceito contra hansenianos, como a formação
incipiente de profissionais da saúde que são designados para o atendimento de pacientes com
hanseníase e as crendices de cunho religioso e folclórico, que surgem no senso comum, no
entanto, todos esses agravantes são derivados de um único fator: a falta de acesso à informação
pertinente.
Há, portanto, uma necessidade premente de fornecer aos variados públicos que compõem a
sociedade brasileira, em suas diferentes localidades, etnias, gêneros e culturas, uma educação
em saúde que suplante toda e qualquer dúvida sobre a doença hanseníase, enfatizando que se
trata de um doença curável e que cabe a uma ação conjunta de toda a comunidade, para que se
identifique precocemente qualquer sinal suspeito de infestação pelo micróbio e, imediatamente,
encaminhar o suspeito a uma unidade básica de saúde mais próxima, para que seja realizado o
exame clínico e todos os procedimentos cabíveis para confirmar ou descartar a infecçã

A representação das mulheres na primeira república (1889-1930) no livro didático: história, sociedade e cidadania de Alfredo Boulos
Get PDFThis work presents an analysis of the representations of women in historical narratives
about the First Brazilian Republic published in the textbook History, Society and
Citizenship (9th year) authored by Alfredo Boulos (2018), approved for the PNLD 2020.
It is intended to this analysis, discuss and problematize the meanings, values,
interests, functions and conditions of insertion of these representations in didactic
narratives and in history teaching. The book analyzed presents innovations in bringing
women as protagonists of History, however it still maintains certain silences and
problems in the way it inserts women in History. This research will address elements
about women's history and how it is represented in the aforementioned teaching
manual, through content and illustrations. Thus, the aim is to highlight the importance
of expressing this theme in textbooks to promote the formation of identities in history
teaching, seeking to break with violence and gender prejudice in all social spheres, so
that there is an education without inequalities and equal to all social groups.Este trabalho apresenta uma análise das representações das mulheres nas narrativas
históricas sobre a Primeira República brasileira veiculadas no livro didático História,
Sociedade e Cidadania (9° ano) de autoria de Alfredo Boulos (2018), aprovado para
o PNLD 2020. Pretende-se com essa análise, discutir as formas de representação das
mulheres na Primeira República (1889-1930), no livro didático: História, sociedade e
cidadania, do autor Alfredo Boulos (2018), nos aspectos civis, sociais e político. O livro
analisado apresenta inovações ao trazer mulheres como protagonistas da História,
porém ainda mantém certos silenciamentos e problemáticas no modo como insere as
mulheres na História. Essa pesquisa abordará elementos acerca da história das
mulheres e em como ela estão sendo representadas no manual didático já
mencionado, através dos conteúdos e ilustrações. Assim, pretende-se nesse trabalho
evidenciar a importância da manifestação dessa temática nos livros didáticos para
promover ao ensino de história a formação das identidades, buscando romper com as
violências e preconceitos de gênero em todas as esferas sociais, para que haja uma

Analysis of the identity construction of the character Genly Ai in The Left Hand of Darkness, by Ursula K. Le Guin
No full textThe main objective of this paper is to examine how Ursula K. Le Guin’s character Genly Ai constructs her gender identity in The Left Hand of Darkness (1969). Studies by renowned theorists, including Stuart Hall (2006), Judith Butler (2008), Erving Goffman (1988), Darko Suvin (1979), Denys Cuche (1999), among others, will be used to support this interpretation.
