On Twin Prime Numbers
Get PDFLetting Bertrand’s Postulate, Goldbach’s Conjecture and Chen’s theorem as base theorems, we find some new results. This research work states a theorem that every even number greater than 6 can be written as a sum of two primes, where at least one is a member of a twin prime. In addition, we propose a lemma which states that for any positive integer ????, 2???? > 12 has at least one twin prime in between ???? and 2????
Caractérisation De La Production De L’ig Ananas Pain De Sucre Sur Le Plateau D’Allada Au Sud-Benin
Get PDFL’ananas IG pain du sucre est cultivé sur le plateau d’Allada au Sud-Bénin en raison des conditions naturelles de cette région en adoptant des techniques culturales propres. Les producteurs sont confrontés à d’énormes difficultés dans la culture de ce type d’ananas. La présente recherche vise à analyser la caractérisation de l’ananas IG sur le plateau d’Allada. La recherche documentaire et les enquêtes de terrain sont les principales techniques de collecte des données utilisées. Un échantillon de 571 producteurs d’ananas répartis dans dix arrondissements ont été interrogés. Une régression linéaire entre l\u27ancienneté de détention des terres et la pratique agricole a été fait. Une Analyse Factorielle des Correspondances (AFC) a été réalisée pour recueillir la perception des producteurs sur les raisons d’adoption de l’ananas IG. Les résultats révèlent que 84,12 % des producteurs d’ananas IG pain du sucre sur le plateau sont des hommes contre 15,88 % de femmes. Les 20,63 % de ceux-ci ont un âge inférieur à 40 ans tandis que 55,55 % d’entre eux ont un âge compris entre 40 ans et 50 ans contre 23,81 % ayant un âge supérieur à 50 ans. Les superficies agricoles utilisées pour l’ananas IG varient d’un producteur à l’autre en fonction de sa capacité financière et technique. Ces superficies varient de 0,1 hectare à 2 hectares. Les 17,74% % des acteurs ont réalisé l’ananas pain de sucre IG sur une superficie de 2 ha contre 27,42% ayant planté la spéculation sur 1 ha. Seuls 30,64 % ont fait 0,5 ha. Les autres producteurs se partagent le reste des emblavures variant de 0,1 ha à 0,4 ha plus ou moins. Toutefois, l’accès à la main-d’œuvre, aux intrants spécifiques et au marché d’écoulement constituent quelques contraintes liées à la production de l’ananas IG pain du sucre sur le plateau d’Allada

Willingness to Utilize In-Vitro Fertilization and its Effect on Women of Reproductive Age in F.C.T, Abuja, Nigeria IVF and Women of Reproductive Age
Get PDFIn-vitro fertilization (IVF) remains one of the most widely adopted assisted reproductive technologies for managing infertility. This study assessed willingness to utilize IVF and its effect on women of reproductive age in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, Nigeria. A descriptive cross-sectional mixed-methods design was employed. Data were collected from 315 women through multistage and convenience sampling between October and December 2022 using a structured questionnaire and key-informant interview guide. Quantitative data were analyzed with SPSS version 27 using descriptive statistics, Chi-square tests, and multiple regression at a 5 % significance level; qualitative responses were thematically analyzed. Findings revealed that most respondents were within the reproductive age bracket and aware of IVF, with generally positive perceptions of the procedure. Willingness to utilize IVF showed significant association with marital status, employment, and perception (p < 0.05). Key-informant interviews highlighted psychosocial stress, cultural expectations, and financial constraints as major influences on uptake. Respondents recommended affordable service provision, counseling, and policy support to improve accessibility. Although awareness and perception are high, actual utilization is constrained by socio-cultural and economic barriers. Strengthening community education, reducing cost, and integrating psychological support will enhance acceptance and uptake of IVF services in Nigeria.

Après analyse et interprétation des données, les résultats indiquent que, 48,3% agents sociaux affirment que les orphelins éprouvent des traumatismes, d\u27angoisse, des frustrations, des sentiments de tristesse et de colère, 37,5% indiquent que les orphelins se révoltent, rêvent, s’isolent et sont passifs, et enfin, 14.2% disent qu’ils affichent un bon comportement et appréciable

At the same time, it is recognized that the contribution of human resources to economic growth, and in particular in the most developed regions of a country, is greater than the contribution of natural capital, as it increases labor productivity, becomes a vehicle for the exploitation and diffusion of technology and innovation, and produces high external economies that are diffused throughout the economy and society as a whole. Smart Accident Reduction System (SARS)
Get PDFRoad accidents have always been a major concern of the society. And over the years the numbers have just shot up due to many reasons, like drunk driving and hindrance to visibility due to a foggy weather etc. In the scope of this project, it has been our endeavor to develop a prototype of the system that helps in preventing accidents in such conditions. Considering the Indian scenario, the parts of India which generally don’t have foggy whether except for the winters, a fog light, in the cars is not so commonly used. As a consequence, the fog reduces clarity and makes is very difficult for the driver to spot objects and so, more often than not it leads to some major collisions and causalities. Another problem that persists is that of the drunk driving in which the driver could lose control that might lead to a massive accident. Hence it’s our attempt to develop a radar based sensing system that detects the obstacles in its proximity, it senses the obstacles and then creates an image portraying the approximate dimension of the object and distance of the car from the same. This system will help in locating the objects amidst the fog and therefore will prevent accidents. Furthermore, it’s our objective to device a system that provides a solution for the accidents due to drunk driving. The system consists of three major components – Emergency brakes that stops the car automatically if the speed is not reduced when any object comes in the near proximity, Breathalyzer that prevents the car ignition, if the alcohol level in the breath of the driver is above the threshold and a posture detector that detects a slouching posture (which may be due to sleeping), an audio warning compels one to correct the posture
A Comparative Study on the Current Account in China under Pegged Exchange Rate Regime and Floating Exchange Rate Regime
Get PDFThe purpose of this paper is to explore the behaviors of current account under pegged exchange rate regime and floating exchange rate regime. The quarterly data from 1994 to 2016 is applied to establish a vector auto regression model to analyze the operating mechanism among current account, real exchange rate, real GDP and interest rate. The empirical analysis results show that the terms of trade and real exchange rate have a little effect on current account under the pegged exchange rate regime. However, the results also show that the terms of trade and real exchange rate have relative greater effect on current account under the floating exchange rate regime. Even though its behavior is bigger than that of pegged exchange rate regime, it is still not very significant. Therefore, this paper provides a new suggestion that always imputing the current account deficit to impact of exchange rate regime is unreliable

Predictive V-Model for Food Security in Rivers State using Artificial Neural Network (ANN)
Get PDFThis study presented a Predictive V-model for food security in Rivers State using Artificial Neural Network (ANN). Food insecurity is an alarming problem in Rivers State, Nigeria.. There are several models for food security and security. However, challenges such as poor tracking technique and latency have continued to plague the present food security processes. The developed predictive V-model was implemented with Object Oriented Analysis and Design Methodology (OOADM), Hypertext Pre-processor (PHP) and MySQL Relational Database. The Confusion Matrix for the model’s classification performance showed how well the model predicted the outcomes of successful and failed cases, out of a total of 100 samples, 96 instances were correctly predicted as successful (True Positives), while 2 were correctly predicted as failed (True Negatives). However, there were 2 mis-classifications, one case of a successful instance being wrongly predicted as failed (False Negative), and one failed instance being wrongly predicted as successful (False Positive). This indicates that the model performs exceptionally well in identifying successful outcomes, with only a minimal number of errors. The results achieved were segmented into graphical user interfaces which will enable users to track previous and current status of food quality, availability in Rivers State, and also factors influencing the availability. The study recommended the application of Machine Learning to the development of predictive models that will be beneficial to software developers and researchers with keen interest in the study area
