Analysis Crowd Behaviour on Reddit Reddit Place: a Million Anonymous People Create a Piece of Art
The social news aggregation and discussion website, Reddit, ran an online experiment called r/Place from April 1 to April 3, 2017, which had over 1 million people participating. In this work we analyse the surprising results of the experiment from a social psychology perspective. We apply the concept of crowd behaviour to demonstrate the importance of anonymity and affiliation in an online, anonymous group of people. Concretely we show that (i) even when users are anonymous, they tend to organize themselves into groups and work towards a common goal, and that (ii) the emergence of order on the internet may be much spontaneous than otherwise. We also give a description of and reasons for the rising importance of social psychology concepts in online communities. Though we cannot yet argue about the direct applicability of offline, traditional social psychology aspects on the internet crowd, we believe that that understanding the social dynamics underlying online communities is an important step for the field to take
Space Suits and Clothing for Extreme Weather
Space suits is a marvelous creation of Science. Being the most complicated and unique product of technology, they work as miniaturized personal aircraft providing astronauts with Earth like environment they need to survive in space. There are various features like maintaining ambient atmosphere, pressure, and temperature, protecting from harmful radiations, providing ease of movement etc. In this paper, we would be pondering on them and will be discussing the detailed working and thermodynamics of some of them. We will also be discussing the terrestrial extreme weather protection gear and the materials and technology involved in making them into realization. we have pondered upon technologies like LCGs, radiators, high strength chemically enhanced fiber and MVP clothes. While most of the functions have been expressed in layman language, we have undertaken a detailed study of the heat removal method from the suit. Two types of methods primary and secondary have been explained in the paper and the various technologies and materials involved with them have been mentioned
Heat Transfer in Medical Appliances
Heat transfer finds extensive use in many spheres of our life like many day to day appliances such as cookers or microwave, in air conditioning units. One very important use of heat transfer comes in biomedical appliances where there has to be very intricate analysis of every component as a small error may lead to very fatal consequences during surgeries. The paper will highlight the various uses of heat transfer in biomedical applications and will discuss a few of its uses in detail.

Heat Transfer In Glass Making
The heat transfer in glass during glass-container machine-forming processes is characterized by extremely high heat removal rates from relatively thin sections of material. In glass manufacturing, a hot melt of glass is cooled down to room temperature. The annealing has to be monitored carefully in order to avoid excessive temperature differences which may affect the quality of the product or even lead to cracks in the material.Heat migrates from a warmer region to a relatively cooler region due to a temperature difference that exists between the surfaces. However, in glazed surfaces, such as Glass, the thermal exchange is also transparent to Solar Radiation, and thus free heat gain occurs. It would make possible for us to optimize the dwell time in the mold and thus may help us increase not only production rates but also quality, if we are able to predict the glass temperature profile, mostly the enamel temperature. In order to control this process it is, therefore, of interest to have a mathematical model that accurately predicts the temperature evolution. This paper aims at determining the processes playing major roles in heat extraction from glass, performing energy balance on an elemental slice of infinitesimal thickness within the glass slab, the critical parameters controlling gas cooling during the swell time, their relation to thermal contact conductance, and impact of alteration in radiation during the glass making process
