Validation for a classroom practice: Analysis of assignments submitted by students
Get PDF本稿は、教育課程総論において、学生へ提出を求めた課題の検証を目的とした。研究方法としては、「教材研究」（課題）を対象にその妥当性を考察した。その結果、学生が入学後の学びを活用し、立案する力を身につけていることがわかった。一方、集団としての子どもに触れる機会の少ない学生も多く、具体的な乳幼児の発達をいかにイメージさせ、習得した知識を用いながら教材を研究し指導案につなげさせるかという難しさが残った。特に、教育（保育）活動を計画する際の「時期」設定については約１／４の学生が無記入であり、意識の希薄さがうかがえた。また、「遊びを通した総合的指導」としての「領域」の理解が弱い学生は、「活動」ありきで立案する傾向にあった。これらの学生は、文書記述の項目でも「学生」が「（活動を）子どもにさせる」という発想が多く、安易に制作系の活動を選択する傾向にあった。教員側の課題としては、「教材研究」の様式作成にあたり、「教材」をいかに定義するかという難しさがあった。定義については様々な解釈が成り立つことから、今回はあえて明確にせず様式を作成した。しかし、どのように「教材」を定義するかによっては、学生へ記入を求める項目が異なってくる。しかるべき場での議論と教員間の情報共有が求められる。departmental bulletin pape
Anxiety about the new corona virus（COVID-19）
Get PDF新型コロナウイルス（COVID-19）の蔓延は、学生たちの学びに多大な影響を及ぼし、学生たちは日々感染に関する不安を抱えている。その状況を、厚生労働省が示す新しい生活様式を基に調査した。学生たちは新しい生活様式に示されている、「３密を避ける」ための行動や主な症状、対処についてある程度の知識・理解があることが分かった。一方で、不安感については、他の報告と同様に漫然とした不安を日々抱えていることが明らかとなった。今後、日々更新される最新の情報を得ることを心がけ、「正しく知って、正しく恐れる」を学生と共に行っていかなければならないと考える。departmental bulletin pape
A Deadly Shift in Policy? How Britain’s Use of Weaponized Drones, and How it Reports Such Use, Has Changed Since 2015
Get PDFThis article examines how over the past five years Britain’s use of deadly weaponized drone strikes has become routine. It contrasts what happened following two strikes in August 2015 which killed British member of IS, Reyaad Khan, with what happened following subsequent attacks. In particular, it examines why the Government’s justification for the Khan attack － that his death was the only way to prevent a terrorist atrocity on UK soil － is no longer used to justify drone strikes. The paper also shows that RAF drone missions are now seldom reported to the UK parliament or media. Methodological Study on the Evaluation of Child Development Relative to Nurturing 5 Areas ― Revised Developmental Evaluation Tool “Tanpopo” for Using in Nursery School ―
Get PDF本研究では、保育５領域のうち特に「表現」との関わりが深い「音楽」を活用した子どもの発達評価ツール「たんぽぽ」を新たに改編し、乳幼児を対象とした保育現場での使用を目的とした改編を行った。「たんぽぽ」の「鑑賞」領域を除く３領域「歌唱」、「器楽」、「身体運動」に関わる全132個の小項目について、１）小項目が乳幼児の発達段階に沿っているか、２）小項目の文言が明確で評価者が共通理解できるか、３）同様の小項目が重複して存在していないか、の三つの観点から絞り込みと改編を行い「新たんぽぽ」を作成した。改編過程では、保育現場での使用を念頭に置いて、音楽療法士や心理の専門職などを含む研究協力者会議を開いて項目の詳細な検討を行い、さらに保護者や現場保育士からの意見や要望をアンケート調査の結果から抽出し、積極的に改編作業に組み込んだ。conference pape
Authentic Materials and Their Application in the Classroom: A Study of the Perspectives and Experiences of Practicing ELT Professionals
Get PDFThis paper presents the results of a study into the perception and application of authentic materials (AM) by those currently involved in English language education. The paper begins with a literature review of the advantages and disadvantages of AM and then details a research study in which 24 English Language Teaching (ELT) professionals, based in Japan, Singapore, and the United States, were interviewed about their beliefs and experiences regarding practical AM usage. Concrete examples were gleaned from the teachers who use AM in diverse cultures and educational environments, and these examples are also presented in the paper. The study found that teachers not only value the role of AM in language education, citing such benefits as increased student motivation and awareness of the world outside the classroom, but they also work hard and with creativity to overcome the difficulties associated with bringing AM into the class. The greatest of these difficulties is the significant burden placed on teachers in selecting and adapting appropriate material, and the paper concludes that more must be done to increase the availability and ease of use of AM for ELT professionals. 本稿は、英語教員のオーセンティック・マテリアル（AM）についての見解とその応用に関する調査の結果報告である。

声のコミュニケーションを用いた音楽創造
Get PDF乳児は、意味のある言葉を発する前にリズムや旋律のある発声を行う。また、幼児は言葉を韻律的に繰り返して響きを楽しむ。こうした、人間が生得的に有する「音楽性」は乳幼児の学びを支えると言われている。本研究では、「音楽」という枠組みにとらわれがちな大人が、「発話」と「歌」を連続線上に位置づけ、豊かな声のコミュニケーションを展開する力を身につけることを目的とした音楽創造プログラムを提案する。実際に沖縄キリスト教短期大学保育科の授業で行った事例を紹介しつつ、その意義についての検討を行った。学生の感想や実際に行われたパフォーマンスの分析から、「言葉」を用いなくても「声」には身体的な動作と連動して気持ちを伝える力があること、言葉の「繰り返し」によって音楽が生まれること、自分自身が生み出した言葉やフレーズを集団と共有しながら音楽創作をすることが可能であることなどの気づきを参加者の多くが得たことが明らかになった。departmental bulletin pape
