Inovasi Kolaboratif Dalam Pembentukan Peraturan Perundang-Undangan: Optimalisasi Teknologi Untuk Meningkatkan Partisipasi Publik Dalam Legislasi
Meaningful public participation in the legislative process in Indonesia is a fundamental element in fostering an inclusive and transparent democracy. Despite the legal mandate for public involvement, as outlined in Law No. 13 of 2022 and Constitutional Court Decision No. 82/PUU-XXI/2023, such participation often remains formalistic and limited in practice. This article highlights the potential of digital technology, particularly the concept of CrowdLaw, as an alternative approach to enhancing public engagement. Case studies from Estonia, Iceland, and Brazil demonstrate that digital participation can effectively increase public involvement and improve the quality of legislative outcomes. With sufficient infrastructure and improved digital literacy, Indonesia is well-positioned to harness technology to create a more inclusive legislative process. However, challenges such as unequal access to technology and low levels of digital literacy across much of the population hinder this effort. Therefore, this article recommends strengthening public participation at all stages of the legislative process, implementing policies that support the sustainable adoption of CrowdLaw, enhancing digital infrastructure, developing user-friendly participation platforms, and expanding digital literacy education to ensure more equitable and substantive public engagement in legislative processe
\u3ci\u3eANTIMELODY, FIELD RECORDING\u3c/i\u3e, GERAKAN MUSIK EKSPERIMENTAL, DAN HANTU BARU YANG MENOLAK HANTU LAMA HAUNTOLOGY
This article challenges the traditional definition of music, limited to seven fixed elements: melody, harmony, rhythm, pitch, tempo, dynamics, and texture. The author suggests that all sound can be considered \u27sound art,\u27 blurring lines between music and other auditory experiences. In Mark Fisher’s hauntology, modern music is depicted as stagnant, trapped in a neoliberal pastiche that cancels the future by repeating past styles without innovation. However, this article highlights alternatives through experimental music, such as the album ANTIMELODY (2024), which uses field recording to present raw environmental sounds, challenging conventional musical structures. Movements like Jogja Noise Bombing and experimental music group Senyawa explore noise-based sounds, rejecting traditional melodies and industrial nostalgia. Music distribution via Bandcamp or Senyawa’s decentralized approach challenges Spotify’s dominance, known for unfair royalty systems, by offering better artist compensation. This article argues that in the independent music scene, innovative alternatives persist, counteracting Fisher’s “cancellation of the future,” proving that new creativity can defy the haunting influence of past cultural forms
Etika Penggunaan Kecerdasan Buatan dalam Pendidikan Hukum
This article aims to formulate the ethics of using Artificial Intelligence (AI) in legal education. Legal education held by the Faculty of Law is a center for the development of excellence in legal science in order to generate competent graduates. The ability to provide a legal opinion on a legal issue is a competency that every law graduate must have. In this era, law students can easily command AI to construct legal opinion without going through the legal research process. The implication for Faculty of Law is that they fail to prepare law graduates who are able to produce legal opinion. The issue to be discussed in this article is how is the role of Faculty of Law in dealing with the developmet of AI in the midst of educating future law graduates. This article argues that ethics occupies an essential aspect that should be a concern for Faculty of Law because with the systematized ethics, law students can act with caution in utilizing AI. The application of ethics also applies to legal academics in Faculty of Law as those who educate law students. There are 3 (three) ethics proposed by the Author, namely reviewing, honesty, and carefulness. The formulation of these ethics is carried out by examining the existing regulation related to AI in Indonesia and then comparing it with the regulation related to AI in Europe. This research is conducted using normative legal research methods through statutory approach and comparative approach
Changes in Craniofacial Morphology of Class III Malocclusion Treated Using Facemask or Active Skeletonized Sutural Distractor Appliance
Objective: This research compared the effectiveness of the Active Skeletonized Sutural Distractor (ASSD) and the face mask (FM) in treating adolescent Class III malocclusion and assessed the stability of the mini screw utilized in the ASSD appliance. Methods: A total of 68 adolescents with Class III malocclusion were divided into either one of two treatment groups (ASSD or FM) for a maximum period of six months of therapy. Lateral cephalometric radiographs and impressions were taken for comparative purposes. The 3M® intra-oral elastic (USA) was attached to the mini-implant, and the mini-screw mobility was evaluated monthly using a force gauge (Correx®, Orthocare, UK). Changes in craniofacial morphology were compared using dependent and independent t-tests, respectively. The significance threshold was set at 0.05. Results: A total of 54 participants were included due to a drop-out. Statistically significant improvements were found in soft tissues and dentoskeletal parameters following treatment with both ASSD and FM. However, participants treated with ASSD showed significantly greater changes compared to FM. Except for inter premolar and inter molar width in the FM group, and intermolar width and palatal width in the ASSD group, neither appliance had a significant influence on palate and dental arch parameters after treatment. The percentage of mini-screw stability was 61.53%. Most participants (73.07%) in the ASSD group achieved corrections over 6 months. Conclusion: The ASSD has the potential to treat Class III malocclusion with better outcomes than the conventional FM and may replace the necessity for surgery
Compound Odontoma in A Child with Orthodontic Management of An Impacted Maxillary Central Incisor: A Case Report
Odontomes are the most common type of odontogenic tumors. Odontomes are of two major types i.e, complex and compound odontoma. They are usually asymptomatic and, hence, are seen as accidental findings on a radiograph. They may be associated with an unerupted or delayed eruption of a permanent tooth. Usually, odontomes are diagnosed at an early age. This case report provides a case of compound odontoma causing impaction of the right maxillary central incisor with its clinical, radiographic, and histopathologic features and its management. Case report: Here, a 13-year-old patient reported with unerupted maxillary central incisor on the right side. Clinical examination revealed a firm to hard swelling, and radiographic examination revealed multiple radiopaque toothlike structures in the region of 11. These were removed surgically and histopathologically, confirming the diagnosis of compound odontoma. The maxillary right central incisor was then orthodontically brought to its correct position. The patient was recalled for regular follow-ups. Conclusion: Early and timely diagnosis will help in the treatment of this condition at an early stage and thus reduce complications in tooth eruption and other abnormalities associated with it
Human Rights Concern in International Investment Law: A Study of Indian International Investment Agreements
The interaction of human rights and investment protection obligations in international investment law is on the rise. Human rights have been cited in claims and defenses of the parties and in the reasoning of the tribunals. Since majority of international investment agreements lack clarity and do not express the use of the term ‘human rights’, experts question the legitimacy of such usage. Given the alleged backlash and ongoing reforms in international investment law, the lack of human rights concern in international investment law needs proper investigation. This paper investigates the issue in the Indian context. After the adoption of its new Model Bilateral Investment Treaty in 2015, India has unilaterally terminated most of its international investment agreements and is negotiating new ones. This paper identifies the ways in which the issue of human rights is invoked in international investment law, with an analysis of the investment treaty practice of India using a doctrinal method. Indian international investment treaty practices before the 2015 Model BIT mostly did not include the term human rights, but the BITs signed post 2015 Model do expressly use the term human rights, albeit in the form of voluntary obligations. Additionally, India made human-rights based arguments and the tribunals did mention human rights in awards to which India was a party but the tribunals stressed upon the need to have express human rights provision in the treaty, which it mostly lacked
SIKAP BAHASA PEMBACA TANDA TERHADAP BAHASA JEPANG DALAM LANSKAP LINGUISTIK LITTLE TOKYO BLOK M
The use of a language in a linguistic landscape outside its native environment tends to evoke attitudinal stances among individuals in the society. This phenomenon can be observed across Little Tokyo Blok M, Jakarta where Japanese language is widely used on restaurant signs. This master thesis discusses the language attitude of sign readers toward the utilization of Japanese in the area to identify the emerged language attitude and to explain the influencing factors. The study is conducted in mixed methods. The quantitative method (societal treatment approach) examines the statistics of language signs found in Japanese restaurant in regards to their multilingualism and code preference. On the other hand, the qualitative method (direct approach) explores the visitors’ responses during sosiolinguistic interviews to understand the cognitive process behind their attitude. The results show that the language attitude toward Japanese as a foreign language in the Little Tokyo is positive in nature. The positivity is reflected both on the triadic components of the attitude and across the various contexts of signage. Further, the notions of exoticism and authenticity concerning Japanese and its associations are found to be the influencing factors in two different parts of the attitude formation process. Contrary to the existing cognitive model, those parts are found to work simultaneously in determining the characteristics of the language attitude. Bringing forth empirical novelty and theoretical challenge, this thesis could serve as a valuable foundation or reference for further studies

Characteristics of Carbonaceous Materials Synthesized from Palm Oil Empty Fruit Bunch Waste Using Ferrocene Catalyst
The synthesis of carbonaceous materials for reduced graphene oxide (rGO) precursors using oil palm empty fruit bunches waste as a carbon source offers a sustainable solution for waste management in the palm oil industry while delivering high-performance materials. The oil palm empty fruit bunches were carbonized, followed by acid washing, pyrolysis with ferrocene (8%, 12%, and 16% variations), and ultrasonication to produce rGO. The structural, electronic, and morphological properties of the rGO were analyzed using various characterization techniques. The band gap values decreased with increasing ferrocene concentration, from 1.14 eV (8%) to 1.06 (16%), indicating enhanced electronic conductivity. XRD analysis revealed a crystal size increase from 11.3 nm (8%) to 181 nm (16%), while Raman spectroscopy showed a consistent D to G intensity ratio of 0.85, indicating reduced structural defects. SEM-EDS results demonstrated a carbon to oxygen atomic ratio of 4.38 (8%), 3.79 (12%), and 3.77 (16%), confirming successful reduction and improved carbon content. These finding highlight the potential of rGO synthesized from oil palm empty fruit bunches for applications in semiconductors, energy storage, and gas sensing, offering an innovative approach to sustainable materials development
The Development of the Mindful Parenting Scale for Indonesian Parents
Mindful parenting benefits both parents and children; however, Indonesia lacks a valid and reliable tool for it. This study aims to develop a mindful parenting scale (MPS) as an effective tool for parents of children aged 3–6 years. The MPS is a multidimensional scale comprising five dimensions based on the theories of previous researchers (Kabat-Zinn and Kabat-Zinn and Duncan et al.). The study involved 326 participants with marriage durations of 2–32 years (M = 8.4, SD = 4.53). The results demonstrate that the final version of the MPS exhibits high internal consistency for the total score and each dimension. Additionally, confirmatory factor analysis confirmed that the multidimensional MPS aligns well with the model and possesses good convergent validity. The development of the MPS is crucial for researchers and practitioners in further to better understand, assess, and design interventions related to mindful parenting
