Faktor-Faktor yang Berhubungan dengan Massa Otot, Kekuatan Otot, dan Performa Fisik pada Lansia
Introduction. Despite its high prevalence and significant impact on health, comprehensive studies are still needed to explore the factors affecting sarcopenia parameters, such as muscle mass, muscle strength, and physical performance. This study aimed to identify the factors influencing sarcopenia parameters in the elderly, including muscle mass, muscle strength, and physical performance.
Methods. A cross-sectional study was conducted from July to December 2022 on elderly individuals (\u3e60 years old) at the Geriatric Polyclinic, Moh. Hoesin General Hospital, Palembang, selected through consecutive sampling. Muscle mass was measured using bioimpedance analysis, expressed in ASMI values; muscle strength was measured using a handheld dynamometer; and physical performance was assessed using the five-time sit-to-stand test. The SARC-F score was classified as normal (\u3c4) and abnormal (≥4). Data on age, gender, serum albumin levels, comorbidities, and Mini Nutritional Assessment Short Form (MNA-SF) scores were collected for correlation analysis and comparison with muscle mass, muscle strength, and physical performance.
Results. Of the 41 subjects, the average age was 70.75 (SD 7) years, with 56.1% being female. All subjects had low muscle mass, with an average ASMI of 3.31 (SD 0.59) kg/m² in females and 4.89 (SD 1.06) kg/m² in males. The average muscle strength for females was 16.9 (SD 6.1) kg and for males 27.5 (SD 8.3) kg. The five-time sit-to-stand test result for females was 24.2 (SD 14.2) seconds and for males, 21.8 (SD 11.1) seconds. Based on SARC-F, 8 subjects (19.5%) were categorized as at risk for sarcopenia. Serum albumin levels for all subjects were within the normal range [4.3 (SD 0.3) g/dl]. Malnutrition was found in 14 subjects (34.1%) according to the MNA-SF results. Comorbidities were present in 35 patients. Statistical analysis showed a significant correlation between serum albumin levels and muscle strength (r=0.35; p=0.005) and physical performance (r=-0.5; p\u3c0.001). Nutritional status had no significant effect on the three parameters, but it did significantly affect muscle mass in elderly males (p=0.002). Comorbidities, including cardiovascular disease, non-insulin-dependent diabetes mellitus, and musculoskeletal disorders, were not significantly related to any of the sarcopenia parameters.
Conclusions. Serum albumin is significantly associated with muscle strength and physical performance, while nutritional status is significantly associated with muscle mass in elderly males. Comorbidities were not significantly related to muscle mass, muscle strength, or physical performance in the elderly
The Implications of Religiosity and Complementary Determinants on the Repurchase Intention of Halal-Certified Food in Indonesia 2024
Manuscript Type: Research Article.
Research Aims: This study applies the Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB) framework to examine the impact of religiosity on repurchase intentions for halal-certified food, incorporating factors such as subjective norms, awareness, trust, halal knowledge, halal certification, and perceived behavioral control.
Design/Methodology/Approach: Data were collected from 472 respondents through a purposive sampling survey in Indonesia, and analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with SmartPLS v.3.2.9.
Research Findings: A total of 20 hypotheses were tested. The findings reveal that religiosity influences the mediators—halal knowledge, halal certification, subjective norms, and perceived behavioral control—which, in turn, shape attitudes and stimulate repurchase intentions. These four mediation paths are confirmed as integral to the underlying mechanism. However, the direct effects of trust and awareness on attitude, as well as their mediation paths, were not supported.
Theoretical Contribution/Originality: The research expands the TPB by incorporating halal knowledge and certification as complementer determinants influencing repurchase intentions, offering a more comprehensive view of consumer behavior in the halal food sector in Indonesia.
Practitioner/Policy Implication: Marketers and business owners selling halal-certified food should focus on educating and building trust, leveraging social influence, ensuring easy accessibility and competitive pricing, and differentiating while fostering emotional connections.
Research Limitation/Implications: The study’s limitations include its focus on Indonesian Gen Z and millennial Muslims, which may restrict generalizability to other populations and regions, particularly given the predominantly female sample. Additionally, while the research centers on halal-certified food, other halal industries remain unexplored. Moreover, the study focuses on variables such as religiosity, awareness, and attitude, without addressing economic, marketing, or experiential factors. The survey method may also introduce response bias. Future research should broaden the demographic scope, include additional relevant variables, and adopt mixed methods to offer a more comprehensive understanding of consumer behavior in the halal market.
Keywords: Halal certification, halal knowledge, religiosity, repurchase intention, TPB
Redesain Konsep Konsultasi Pembentukan PKPU Dalam Menindaklanjuti Putusan Mahkamah Konstitusi
The research aims to identify problems in the implementation of consultation as part of the mechanism of regulation formation between KPU and DPR and the government, especially in following up the Constitutional Court\u27s decision. The research begins by first describing the dynamics of the consultation process and its results, which are passive and tend to be formalistic after the conclusion of the RDP forum is no longer binding based on the Constitutional Court Decision 92/PUU-XIV/2016. This research uses a doctrinal method that refers to the laws and regulations related to the consultation process of the KPU together with the DPR and the government in the formation of regulations. The research aims to identify problems normatively and connect them with legal facts obtained. The research uses analytic-explanatory typology by describing the existing problems to further find the causality (cause-and-effect) of a problem. The results showed that the implementation of the RDP forum was passive and did not even pay attention to the correction of substantive errors such as in PKPU related to the requirements for former convicts to run for office. This phenomenon should be an evaluative study in the legal validity and technical procedures of the RDP forum, which turns out that there is a disharmonization of consultation provisions between the Pilkada Law and the Election Law with the MD3 Law
A Comprehensive Analysis of Recognition of Hand Gestures using Machine Learning
Hand gestures are a natural means of conveying information and thus, there is an increasing interest in utilizing gestures for communication with computers. This study focuses on systematically reviewing different machine learning algorithms while assessing their working mechanisms and accuracy. Articles were analyzed for comparing the performance of K-Nearest Neighbors (KNN), Random Forest (RF), Support Vector Machines (SVM), Naive Bayes (NB), Convolutional Neural Networks (CNN), and Recurrent Neural Networks (RNN). In accordance with input data, intricacy of gestures, processing resources, and real-time demands, the study shows that each technique has distinct advantages and disadvantages. RNN showed the best accuracy of 99.28% in recognizing dynamic gestures, indicating that it can be employed in applications that need high accuracy. CNN also performed well in recognizing static gestures and provide an accuracy of 93.61% accuracy. In order to improve human-machine interaction through efficient hand gesture detection, this systematic and comprehensive analysis offers some insight into the trade-offs between choice of algorithm and performance
Contribution of National Health Insurance Patient Revenue to Financial Performance of Private-Profit Hospitals from 2017 to 2022
This study investigated the relationship between National Health Insurance (NHI) patient revenue and profit-private hospital financial performance in Indonesia. As the NHI provider, Badan Penyelenggara Jaminan Sosial (BPJS) Healthcare Security’s influence on hospital revenues has raised concerns about its impact on financial sustainability. This study used financial performance indicators to develop a financial performance index—Return on Assets (ROA), Return on Equity (ROE), Earnings Before Interest, Taxes, Depreciation, and Amortization (EBITDA) Margin, Current Ratio, and Net Profit Margin (NPM)—to assess the financial impact of BPJS Healthcare Security revenue. A partial model approach of multiple linear regression was employed using secondary data from seven private-profit hospitals listed on the Indonesian Stock Exchange from 2017 to 2022. The findings indicated a negative correlation between BPJS Healthcare Security patient revenue and the hospital financial performance index. Specifically, higher patient revenue correlated with lower performance across key financial indicators, including ROA, ROE, EBITDA Margin, Current Ratio, and NPM. It was essential for hospitals but not necessarily to improve their financial health performance. Hospitals need to optimize their revenue mix and explore alternative financial strategies to enhance performance
Islamic Approach Analysis Sustainable Development: The Role Of Geopolitical Risk On Environmental in Indonesia
CYBER ATTACKS ON GOVERNMENT-MANAGED SYSTEMS: A SOCIAL EPISTEMOLOGY PERSPECTIVE
This article examines cyberattacks on government-managed systems from the perspective of social epistemology. The development of information technology, particularly the internet, has changed the way governments operate and interact with the public. However, these changes have also created new vulnerabilities to cyberattacks that can disrupt public services, undermine public trust and threaten national security. Social epistemology, with its focus on how knowledge and beliefs are constructed and disseminated in society, provides a useful analytical framework for understanding these cyberattack dynamics. This article examines how cyberattacks affect the production, distribution and validation of knowledge in the context of governance. By analyzing how different actors, including governments, hackers, and the public, interact and form a shared understanding of threats and cybersecurity, this article aims to provide insights on how to build more effective cybersecurity strategies and improve the resilience of government systems to cyberattacks. In addition, this article will also discuss the philosophical implications of cyberattacks, specifically related to the thoughts of Heidegger, Latour, Clark, and Postman, to understand how technology shapes social and political interactions in the context of cybersecurity. Effective IT governance, which integrates socio-technical understanding, is crucial in mitigating risks and building public trust in the digital age
MAJAPAHIT SEBAGAI SIMBOL KEKUASAAN: PENGARUHNYA TERHADAP VISI POLITIK DI INDONESIA
This article examines the image of Majapahit as a symbol of power and political construction in Indonesia in the early 20th century AD until the 1960s. Majapahit is known in the imagined of past greatness. Its image was then accepted in the context of nationalism, revolutionary ideology, and the struggle against colonialism. Over its development, the symbols and constructions of the image of Majapahit shaped its influence in the political vision of nationalists in Indonesia. Entering the era of Indonesian Independence, the debate about Majapahit had formed an elements in the national political vision. This article aims to understand the construction and transformation of Majapahit symbolism in the history of Indonesian nationalist thought. This article uses historical research methods, namely topic selection, heuristics (source collection), verification (source criticism), interpretation, and historiography. The sources used are based on published speech manuscripts, historiographical works, writings in contemporary nationalist newspapers, correspondence letters, and relevant secondary sources. This article finds that Majapahit as a symbol and construction faced its own challenges. The diversity of the spectrum of nationalism in Indonesia, particularly the element of Islamic nationalism, challenged the construction of Indonesia’s past in the Majapahit symbolism from the beginning of the 20th century AD until the 1960s. This multispectrum of Indonesian nationalism ultimately became one of the reasons why the Majapahit symbolism was unacceptable as a modern political identity and vision
The Dynamics of Urbanization and Changes in Ekistics Elements: A Case Study of Surakarta City
Urbanization has become a driving force behind significant spatial, environmental, and socio-economic transformations in urban areas, including Surakarta, the most densely populated city in Central Java. The rapid increase in population and urban expansion has led to drastic changes in land use and the structure of human settlements. This study aims to analyze the impact of urbanization on the ekistic elements of Surakarta (nature, humans, society, space/shells, and networks) and how these changes manifest spatially over time. A descriptive qualitative approach is employed using literature analysis and the interpretation of Landsat satellite imagery from 2011 and 2022. The findings show a notable decline in agricultural land and green open spaces, accompanied by a significant increase in built-up areas and public facilities. Transportation networks have also expanded to accommodate growing mobility demands. Among the five ekistic elements, nature, space, and networks are the most affected, responding directly to the spatial needs of a growing urban population. Meanwhile, the elements of humans and society are indirectly influenced through changes in infrastructure and the environment. This research highlights the importance of integrating the ekistics framework into urban planning to better understand and manage the complex dynamics of urban growth. The study offers valuable insights into how urbanization shapes city form and function, and provides a foundation for sustainable development strategies in rapidly urbanizing region
