REVITALIZING THE APPLICATION OF PANCASILA VALUES THROUGH MODELING THE LONTO LEOK CULTURE OF THE MANGGARAI COMMUNITY, EASTERN INDONESIA
This study explores the potential for integrating Lonto Leok culture as a character education model based on Pancasila values in schools. This research employs a qualitative approach utilizing a case study methodology. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and document analysis in Manggarai communities and schools that have integrated the Lonto Leok cultural tradition into their learning processes. The data analysis confidently employed a triangulation approach to solidify the validity of the research outcomes, ensuring their credibility, dependability, transferability, and confirmability. The research results indicate that the values espoused in Lonto Leok culture, including religiosity, deliberation, unity, peace, and justice, are highly consistent with the principles of Pancasila. The integration of these values in school learning can enhance students\u27 comprehension and appreciation of Pancasila while also reinforcing their character through pertinent and contextual approaches. This research proposes the utilization of Lonto Leok culture as a means of fortifying Pancasila-based character education in the context of the challenges posed by globalization. This report recommends that the Indonesian Ministry of Education adopt a new curriculum to strengthen Pancasila education in primary and secondary schools
The efficacy of tranexamic acid in melasma: A review
Background: Melasma is a common acquired pigmentary condition presenting as dark macules or patches on sun-exposed areas of the face. Conventional treatments rely on topical bleaching agents and sun protection, while additional adjuvant options such as chemical peels, dermabrasion, and laser procedures are often applied. However, recurrence is frequent, and overall therapeutic success remains modest, significantly affecting patient quality of life. Recently, tranexamic acid (TXA) has gained attention as a novel therapeutic approach. This review provides an overview of the available evidence on the efficacy of TXA, used as monotherapy or in combination regimens, for the management of melasma.
Discussion: TXA has been investigated for administration via several routes, including oral, intradermal, and topical. The pathophysiology of melasma involves not only abnormal melanogenesis but also enhanced dermal vascularity and angiogenic activity. TXA acts by interfering with the plasminogen–plasmin system, thereby altering keratinocyte–melanocyte signaling and reducing melanogenesis. In addition, it demonstrates anti-angiogenic effects, leading to reduced vessel density and erythema. Clinical data suggest oral TXA generally yields superior outcomes compared to intradermal or topical approaches, although study results remain heterogeneous, particularly in trials combining multiple therapies.
Conclusion: TXA appears to be a promising therapeutic option for melasma, with potential use as a stand-alone intervention or in combination with other modalities. Combination regimens often produce better clinical improvement than monotherapy. Nonetheless, standardized guidelines for the optimal use of TXA in melasma treatment remain lacking
Laser and light-based therapy for hair growth and hair removal
Background: Recent advances in laser and light-based technologies have introduced new options for both the stimulation of hair growth for alopecia and the reduction of unwanted hair growth. However, the clinical evidence remains varied, and treatment outcomes are influenced by factors such as device type, wavelength, and individual response. Ongoing evaluation of safety, efficacy, and standardization of treatment parameters is therefore essential.
Discussion: This review provides an in-depth discussion of the principles, mechanisms, safety, and efficacy of lasers in promoting hair growth, as well as on lasers and light-based therapies used for hair removal. The mechanisms of laser-induced hair growth stimulation include the acceleration of vellus hair transformation into terminal hair. In contrast, lasers and light-based devices utilize melanin as a target chromophore for hair removal.
Conclusion: Appropriate devices and techniques of lasers and light-based devices, whether used alone or in combination with other therapies, are beneficial for both hair growth and hair removal
Dual-Interface WiFi Packet Sniffer System using ESP32-CAM with Real-Time PCAP Generation for IoT Network Analysis
This study focuses on designing and implementing a cost-effective and energy-efficient WiFi packet sniffer system using the ESP32. The ESP32-CAM module, which combines WiFi, Bluetooth, and microSD support, is used to capture IEEE 802.11 frames in real-time via promiscuous mode. Packets are stored in packet capture format, which is compatible with tools such as Wireshark and Scapy. Developed using the official ESP-IDF, it offers low-level control and high performance. Two user interfaces were implemented: a UART-based text menu and a web-based HTTPS menu hosted on the ESP32 itself. Functional and performance evaluations were conducted with a focus on capturing broadcast and management frames without payload decryption. The system achieves 99.99% packet capture accuracy at 500,000 packets with a total hardware cost of $25 and power consumption of 2.1 W during active capture, representing a 95% cost reduction and 80% power savings compared to commercial alternatives. The download and file-listing speeds through the web-based menu were also evaluated, revealing that the system performs optimally with fewer files but experiences interruptions during large-scale operations. The proposed system provides a lightweight, standalone, and highly portable alternative to conventional packet sniffing tools despite the limitations in encryption handling and resource constraints. This makes it suitable for educational, diagnostic, and preliminary network analysis, particularly in low-power scenarios

Body Acceptance, Body Dysmorphia Symptoms, and Selfie Behavior: Unpacking their Relationships Among Filipinos
The emergence and proliferation of social media gave rise to “selfitis,” an obsession-compulsive engagement in photo selfie-related activities. This phenomenon raises a problem, especially for people experiencing body acceptance concerns and body dysmorphia symptoms, as both of these variables may be linked with photo selfie-taking behavior. With the Philippines having the second-highest average daily social media usage globally, this study explored the association between body acceptance, body dysmorphia symptoms, and selfie behavior. We utilized a cross-sectional explanatory design and investigated the possible mediating and moderating role of body dysmorphia symptoms in the relationship between body acceptance and selfies among 506 Filipinos aged 18–58 who voluntarily completed an online battery of tests measuring body acceptance, body dysmorphia symptoms, and selfie behavior. The results showed that body dysmorphia symptoms moderated and partially mediated the association between body acceptance and selfie behavior, offering a more in-depth understanding of these constructs among our Filipino sample. No clinical association was found between selfie-taking and body dysmorphia symptoms, challenging the notion that frequent selfie-taking is a direct symptom of body acceptance issues. Therefore, understanding and addressing body acceptance concerns requires us to move beyond one-size-fits-all approaches and always consider the specific cultural contexts in which they arise

Decrypting Interiority of Albert Camus\u27 The Stranger Through Absurdist Architectural Symbolism
Since its publication in 1942, Camus\u27 The Stranger (L\u27Étranger in French) has captivated readers and scholars alike, sparking a wealth of critical analysis and interpretation. However, the novel\u27s minimalist descriptions of interior spaces have often been overlooked in academic discourses, making it a perennial subject of further scholarly inquiry. This study seeks to decrypt the interiority of this text by examining the absurdist architectural symbolism and dissecting the spatial elements embedded in its narrative. The aim is to unveil new layers of meaning in the protagonist\u27s internal psyche and existential condition. Through close reading and thematic analysis of relevant passages, salient elements will be identified and examined for their evocative significance. Insights from existentialist philosophy, particularly Camus\u27 (1942a) theories on the absurd, inform the interpretation of architectural motifs in the text. The analysis reveals that elements such as Meursault\u27s apartment, the courtroom, and the prison serve as emblematic representations of existential themes of alienation, detachment, and the absurdity of human existence. The minimalist descriptions of these spaces underscore Meursault\u27s emotional detachment and his struggle to find meaning in a seemingly indifferent world. The spatial isolation experienced by the protagonist mirrors the existential loneliness and societal alienation central to Camus\u27 philosophy. The study highlights the relevance of architectural symbolism in conveying complex existential concepts
