The Development of Pop-Up Book Learning Media Supported by Technology on Integer Material Based on Type of Children with Special Needs
Concrete learning media are very important for children with special needs because they can improve understanding through visualization and engaging message delivery. Based on observations at Jember Special School Type C (Education and Care Centre), learning media are rarely used, especially when teaching integer material. This study aims to describe the process and outcomes of developing a pop-up book learning medium tailored to the different types of children with special needs, ensuring its validity, practicality, and effectiveness. The study employs a modified 4-D development model within a Research and Development (R&D) framework. Data were collected through validation sheets, user response questionnaires, interview guides, and learning outcome tests. Three methods of data analysis were used: validity analysis, practicality analysis, and effectiveness analysis. The validation results showed average scores of 3.67, 3.69, and 3.54 for learning media designed for students with intellectual disabilities, physical disabilities, and visual impairments, respectively, which are categorized as valid. The media were then tested on nine students at Jember Special School Type C, consisting of seven students with intellectual disabilities, one student with visual impairment, and one student with physical disability. Practicality analysis was conducted based on student and teacher response questionnaire scores, which were 80.25% and 80.75%, respectively, indicating a good level of practicality. The learning outcome test showed a 100% mastery level, indicating that the learning media met the criteria for effectiveness. This research is expected to serve as a reference for other researchers who wish to develop similar instructional media or further develop pop-up book learning media for other types of children with special needs. Media pembelajaran konkret sangat penting bagi anak berkebutuhan khusus karena dapat meningkatkan pemahaman mereka melalui visualisasi dan penyampaian pesan yang menarik. Berdasarkan observasi di SLB-C TPA (Taman Pendidikan dan Asuhan) Jember, media pembelajaran jarang digunakan, terutama saat mengajarkan materi bilangan bulat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan proses dan hasil pengembangan pop -up book sebagai media pembelajaran berdasarkan jenis ABK yang valid, praktis, dan efektif. Penelitian ini menggunakan model pengembangan 4-D yang dimodifikasi dalam kerangka R&D. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui lembar validasi, angket respon pengguna, pedoman wawancara, dan tes hasil belajar. Terdapat tiga metode analisis data yaitu analisis kevalidan, analisis kepraktisan, dan analisis keefektifan. Hasil validasi menunjukkan skor rata-rata untuk media pembelajaran tunagrahita, tunadaksa, dan tunanetra sebesar 3,67; 3,69; dan 3,54 yang dikategorikan valid. Media tersebut kemudian diuji coba pada sembilan peserta didik di SLB-C TPA Jember, terdiri dari tujuh peserta didik tunagrahita, satu peserta didik tunanetra, dan satu peserta didik tunadaksa. Analisis kepraktisan dilakukan melalui skor angket respon siswa dan guru yang masing-masing sebesar 80,25% dan 80,75%, menunjukkan tingkat kepraktisan yang baik. Hasil Tes Hasil Belajar menunjukkan ketuntasan belajar sebesar 100%, yang menandakan media pembelajaran telah memenuhi kategori efektif. Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat dijadikan referensi bagi peneliti lain yang ingin mengembangkan media pembelajaran sejenis ataupun mengembangakn media pembelajaran pop-up book untuk anak berkebutuhan khusus lainnya
Maqāṣid al-Sharīʿah Compliance in Indonesian Islamic Banks: Accounting Evaluation of the Vision and Mission
The purpose of this study is to assess the extent of alignment between the vision and mission of Indonesian Islamic banks and the maqāṣid al-sharīʿah, with a focus on welfare, justice, and compliance in Islamic finance. This research would provide essential information to verify whether Islamic banks’ strategic plans benefit them more in achieving profit, while neglecting the core values of sharia principles. The study design is a descriptive qualitative study with a document analysis approach. The data was elicited from the official vision and mission documents of the selected major Islamic banks in Indonesia. Through document triangulation, the analysis verifies conformity with the five principles of maqāṣid al-sharīʿah: the protection of religion (al-dīn), life (al-nafs), intellect (al-‘aql), lineage (al-nasl), and property (al-māl), assissting to identify areas that are sufficiently operational and those that require further confirmation. Based on the study, most Islamic banks have sufficiently aligned with the following code of principles, where the religious aspect is reflected in various sharia-compliant products, supervised by Sharia Supervisory Boards, and communicated to customers. The property side has been reflected in transparent risk management and well-defined contracts. However, the bank's strategy remains profit-oriented rather than community-centered, lacks prominent communication with customers through monitoring, and is still not process-driven
From Fatwa to Bureaucracy: How Indonesian Penghulu Negotiate Islamic Law and State Regulations on Post-Divorce Marriages
The state policy prohibiting men from remarrying during their ex-wife’s iddah period has generated varied responses among marriage registrars (penghulu). Within the framework of legal pluralism, this article analyzes the tension between classical fiqh and state regulation, as well as its institutional implications. This study employs a descriptive qualitative approach, with data collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. Data were analyzed using condensation, presentation, and conclusion drawing, while source triangulation was used to ensure validity. The findings reveal different interpretations among penghulu, rooted in the enduring authority of classical fiqh as a normative reference amid the presence of state law. In practice, these differences have resulted in three implementation patterns: (1) partial application of the Circular Letter, (2) full implementation, and (3) complete rejection. This phenomenon illustrates that in the realm of Islamic family law, state regulation has not fully displaced Islamic legal authority as the primary reference in religious institutional practice
A Two-Sided Dilemma: Gender Construction and The Struggle For Equality In Early Marriage In Indonesia
Traditional gender stereotypes domesticate women, making their roles subordinated, marginalized, stigmatized, and burdened with multiple responsibilities while exposing them to violence. Early marriage often occurs before the legal age of 19 years as stipulated in Law Number 16 of 2019. This study examines the factors causing early marriage and its implications for fulfilling conjugal rights in Brangsong village during the first three years of marriage—a period prone to conflict. Using qualitative-descriptive methodology with a historical sociological approach and purposive sampling, the research involved early-married couples, parents, and village officials. The results revealed that the primary factor driving early marriage is adolescent curiosity about sexual intercourse motivated by dating relationships despite strong parental control, socialization, and religious knowledge. The implications for marital rights fulfillment belongedl into three categories: first, couples who responsibly work toward marriage goals with gender-equal roles; second, those using marriage to escape problems; and third, couples failing to achieve sakinah, mawadah, and rahmah due to gender inequality, resulting in divorce. This research demonstrates that successful marriages require deconstructing patriarchal frameworks and establishing equitable partnerships regardless of age
The Legacy of Descartes Philosophy: Rational Doubt and Modern Thought
Rene Descartes, through his concept of universal doubt and the famous phrase “cogito ergo sum,” deepened the understanding of epistemology and is still central to both philosophical and scientific discussions. It presents a problem and hence questions examining how relevant Descartes philosophy holds in the current world relationships, such as drifting towards the subjectivity-objectivity theme in epistemology. This study employs qualitative features showcasing the interpretative nature of the analysis using texts of Descartes, including Meditationes de Prima Philosophia, Discours de la Methode, and multiple contemporary critiques. Moreover, distinct conclusions are reached on the various implications of Descartes subjectivism and dualism, functioning towards a more comprehensive epistemology. It turns out that Descartes method and rationalism were equally significant factors that contributed to the emergence of several modern scientific paradigms and epistemological frameworks. Criticism is, however, received, especially on the paradox of error and solipsism. The final analysis of the silico experiment shows Descartes exclusion of nonargumentative elements from epistemological cores. It enables a considerable degree of understanding of the radicalism of the stance towards knowledge validity, the object, and its definition as meaning of consciousness and issues of conscience; several of these indeed require an interdisciplinary approach
Kolaborasi Pentahelix Pemerintah Provinsi Jawa Barat dalam Mewujudkan Desa Digital
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis implementasi kolaborasi pentahelix dalam mewujudkan Desa Digital di Provinsi Jawa Barat. Pertanyaan akhir adalah, apakah penggunaan kolaborasi pentahelix telah menjadi suatu solusi atau justru memunculkan tantangan baru bagi pelaksanaan Desa Digital? Pendekatan pentahelix merupakan pendekatan kolaboratif yang mengelaborasikan antara lima unsur: akademisi, pemerintah, media, pelaku bisnis, serta komunitas. Penelitian ini termasuk ke dalam jenis penelitian kualitatif, yang di mana menggunakan pendekatan sebab akibat objek penelitian. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui tahapan wawancara yang terdapat dalam Focus Group Discussion (FGD) dengan pihak Diskominfo Provinsi Jawa Barat, dan melalui kajian kepustakaan dari literatur-literatur terkait dengan judul maupun pembahasan penelitian. Lebih lanjut dalam menyusun dan menguraikan pembahasan peneliti, kami menggunakan metode deskriptif analitis. Sehingga, terdapat temuan penting yaitu: 1). kolaborasi pentahelix telah membawa dua sisi dampak, yaitu sebagai solusi strategis dan juga sumber tantangan baru. 2). Sebagai solusi, kolaborasi pentahelix telah mampu menjadi slusi untuk pemberdayaan desa, penyebarluasan fasilitas internet, dan membangun desa digital yang berkelanjutan. 3). Sebagai suatu tantangan, penerapan kolaborasi pentahelix berpotensi memunculkan: koordinasi yang tidak sinkron, keterbatasan komitmen jangka panjang, keterbatasan pelibatan akademisi, keterbatasan ketersediaahn pegiat vterlatih TIK, dan penyebaran informasi yang tidak merata

Development of Booklet Media to Improve Career Understanding of Grade IX Students. This study aims to develop a booklet media to enhance career understanding among ninth-grade students at SMP Negeri 2 Waringinkurung. The booklet is Designed to present career information in a structured, clear, and easy-to-understand manner. The method used is the Research and Development (R&D) model with the ADDIE stages (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). In the Analysis stage, the students' needs were identified to Design a product relevant to their career Development. The results of the feasibility test showed positive evaluations from subject matter experts, language experts, and practitioners, with an average score of 92%, indicating high feasibility. A product trial involving 42 students resulted in a feasibility score of 81%, categorized as very feasible. The effectiveness test using N-Gain revealed an N-Gain score of 0.8886 and an N-Gain percentage of 88.86%, indicating a significant improvement in career understanding. Overall, this media booklet has been proven to be effective and can be used as an important tool for helping students plan their careers in the future. The Development of this booklet also provides a valuable alternative for career education at the junior high school level.Keywords: Booklet, Carrier, Media, Career Understanding
Structural relationship model of conception, understanding, and self-efficacy about STEM education among pre-service science teachers
STEM education has become a trend in the 21st century in many countries, includingIndonesia. The term STEM combines four different disciplines namely Science,Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics. STEM education is a concern because it isrelevant to be implemented and forms 21st century skills. This makes pre-service teacherneed to understand STEM education in order to apply it to learning correctly. There arethree aspects that influence the conception, understanding, and self-efficacy of preservice science teachers. Therefore, research was conducted with the aim of analyzingthe relationship between conception, understanding, and self-efficacy of pre-servicescience teachers towards STEM education. This study uses Quantitative DescriptiveResearch Design because it aims to describe and illustrate the relationship modelbetween conception and understanding of self-efficacy in STEM education from thepre-service of Science Education study program students, Semarang State University.Based on the research that has been conducted, a structural relationship model betweenconception and understanding of STEM education self-efficacy among pre-servicescience teachers is obtained. In the model, simultaneously the conception variable andthe understanding variable affect the STEM education self-efficacy of pre-servicescience teachers, where a higher contribution is given by the conception variable. Inconclusion, conception and understanding affect the self-efficacy of science teachercandidates in STEM education
Dampak Shock Variables terhadap Kinerja Pembiayaan UKM pada Bank Perekonomian Rakyat Syariah (BPRS) di Indonesia
The purpose of this study is to examine the long-term and short-term relationships between macroeconomic variables, namely the BI rate, inflation, and the exchange rate, and SME financing at Bank Perekonomian Rakyat Syariah (BPRS) in Indonesia. This study employs a quantitative approach using secondary time-series data from April 2016 to April 2025. The analytical method used is the Vector Error Correction Model (VECM), which is a restricted form of the Vector Autoregressive (VAR) model. Before estimating the VECM, several preliminary tests are conducted, including the stationarity test, optimal lag length test, stability test, cointegration test, and Granger causality test. Afterward, the VECM estimation is performed, followed by the impulse response function (IRF) analysis. Based on the results, the BI rate and the exchange rate exhibit varying responses across periods, while inflation consistently shows an increasing response in each period of SME financing. Similarly, the contributions of the BI rate and the exchange rate to SME financing fluctuate over time. In contrast, the contribution of inflation to SME financing at BPRS in Indonesia continues to increase in each period
The Influence of Service Quality and Product Quality On Customer Loyalty Mediated By Customer Satisfaction In Banking Institutions In Sungai Penuh City
This study aims to determine whether service quality and product quality influence customer loyalty, either directly or when mediated by customer satisfaction. A quantitative approach was employed in this research, with primary data collected through an online questionnaire using Google Forms. The population of the study consists of banking customers in Sungai Penuh City, with a sample size of 101 respondents. The data were analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with the SmartPLS 3.2.9 application. The findings reveal that service quality and product quality do not have a direct effect on customer loyalty, and service quality also does not have a direct effect on customer satisfaction. However, product quality has a direct effect on customer satisfaction, and customer satisfaction, in turn, has a direct effect on customer loyalty. Furthermore, customer satisfaction does not mediate the relationship between service quality and customer loyalty, but it does mediate the relationship between product quality and customer loyalty
