Reconstruction of Moderate Religious Education Based on Inclusivity Values at Salafi Pesantren

    No full text
This study aims to analyze efforts to reconstruct religious moderation education based on inclusive values at Salaf Islamic School, focusing on strategies, student responses, and challenges faced in its implementation. Using a qualitative approach with a case study design, data were collected through in-depth interviews with religious scholars, teachers, and students, as well as participant observation. Data analysis was conducted thematically based on the Miles and Huberman model—including data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results revealed that the implementation of three main strategies—(1) curriculum integration that combines religious teachings with national values, human rights, and tolerance; (2) dialogic learning methods that foster critical thinking and active participation; and (3) the creation of an inclusive environment through cross-community social activities and the acceptance of students from diverse backgrounds—had a significant impact on fostering moderate and open attitudes among students. The majority of students demonstrated increased empathy, openness to differences, and commitment to a harmonious national life, although a small number still resisted due to the influence of exclusive ideologies. Despite facing challenges such as limited resources, cultural resistance, and pressure from conservative groups, the Islamic boarding school managed to maintain this transformation through teacher training, internal dialogue, and external partnerships. These findings not only demonstrate that traditional religious education can be revitalized into an effective vehicle for contextual and inclusive religious moderation, but also offer a concrete model that can be replicated by other Salafi Islamic boarding schools in an effort to counter radicalism and strengthen social cohesion amidst the fragmentation of contemporary society

    No full text
The aim of this research is to describe and analyze religious moderation learning management activities in the independent curriculum in kindergarten. This research uses a qualitative approach with a phenomenological type of research. Data was collected using interview, observation and documentation techniques. Then it was analyzed using the Miles and Huberman model data analysis technique which consists of data reduction, data display and verification. Based on the research results, it can be seen that teachers carry out four management activities for religious moderation learning in the independent curriculum in kindergarten, namely planning, organizing, implementing and assessing religious moderation learning in the independent curriculum. In planning religious moderation learning in the independent curriculum, teachers develop religious tolerance teaching modules. This teaching module is used as a guide in implementing religious moderation learning. Then, in organizing religious moderation learning, the teacher coordinates to discuss religious moderation materials that will be given to children, procurement of tools and materials for religious moderation learning, as well as the types of activities that will be given to children to internalize the value of religious tolerance in children. Meanwhile, the implementation of religious moderation learning is carried out through the knowledge transformation stage about religious moderation, the play stage with the theme of religious moderation, the literacy stage with the theme of religious moderation and the reflection stage. Then proceed with assessing religious moderation learning using observation and documentation techniques. In the observation technique, anecdotal notes and check lists are used. In the documentation technique, work instruments and series of photographs are used

    No full text
This study analyzes the role of the National Zakat Agency (BAZNAS) of West Kalimantan Province in managing zakat for persons with disabilities and its relevance to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the National Medium-Term Development Plan (RPJMN). Using a descriptive qualitative approach, data were collected through in-depth interviews and observation. Research participants included BAZNAS managers, persons with disabilities as mustahik, officials from the Social Rehabilitation Department, and community representatives. The findings show that BAZNAS West Kalimantan has not implemented zakat programs specifically targeting persons with disabilities, and distribution remains dominated by consumptive assistance and limited empowerment initiatives. Key challenges include the lack of accurate disability data, limited human resource capacity, and insufficient coordination with relevant stakeholders. Although zakat has the potential to enhance economic independence and social inclusion for persons with disabilities, its current impact remains limited. Therefore, a more structured and strategic approach is required, including strengthening data collection systems, improving institutional capacity, and enhancing collaboration between BAZNAS, local governments, and the private sector. Such efforts are essential to increase the effectiveness, inclusiveness, and sustainability of zakat programs for persons with disabilities in West Kalimantan

Application of Crossword Learning Media to Increase Learning Interest of SMPN 1 Garut Students in IPS Subjects

    No full text
Low interest in learning of students is a common problem in social studies learning. The lecture method that is still dominant is considered less relevant to the characteristics of Generation Alpha, who are more responsive to visual and interactive learning. This condition requires the presence of interesting learning media, one of which is crossword media. This study aims to measure the influence of crossword learning media on students' learning interests in social studies subjects. The method used is quantitative with a quasi-experimental design. The research sample was selected using purposive sampling techniques from class VIII of SMPN 1 Garut, namely classes VIII G and VIII H. The instruments used included interviews, pretests, posttests, learning interest questionnaires, observations, and reflections. Data were analyzed using validity, reliability, normality, homogeneity, the t-test, the Mann-Whitney test, the Pearson correlation test, and the simple linear regression test and supported by the SPSS version 27 device. The results of the study showed that crossword media can increase students' interest in learning by around 66.7%, especially in the aspects of active involvement and discipline. Although no significant correlation was found between posttest results and learning interest scores, changes in students' learning behavior were noticeable. This media is effective in encouraging interest in learning in affective and social contexts if supported by appropriate teaching strategies

Symbolic Violence on Women Within Religious Sermons

    No full text
Violence against women in public spaces remains prevalent and is at times perpetrated by religious figures, including female preachers. This article investigates how symbolic violence against women is reproduced in sermons delivered by Islamic teachers (ustadz) through mass media platforms such as YouTube, Instagram, and Facebook. The study is based on an analysis of sermons by both male and female ustadz who demonstrate a tendency to reinforce gender-based violence. Data were purposively collected from social media sources, particularly on sermons by Ustadz Khalid Basalamah, Oki Setiana Dewi, and Mamah Dedeh. Employing Pierre Bourdieu’s theoretical concepts of symbolic violence and masculine domination, the analysis explores discourses on household dynamics, including spousal obedience, gendered public and domestic roles, and the contested practice of polygamy. The findings indicate a persistent lack of gender sensitivity in these religious discourses, which contributes to the perpetuation of symbolic violence. This subtle form of violence is normalised through mechanisms such as euphemism and implicit censorship, allowing narratives that undermine women’s rights and potential to gain acceptance. The root of this issue lies in the speakers’ inadequate gender awareness and limited interpretative engagement with religious knowledge

    No full text
Research on Islamic stocks has grown significantly in recent decades, yet focused bibliometric analyses specifically using the term “Islamic stock” remain scarce. Existing studies often adopt broader themes like “Islamic finance” or “Islamic capital market,” which may overlook the nuanced evolution of Islamic stock research. This study aims to conduct a comprehensive bibliometric analysis of 1,050 documents indexed in Scopus between 1989 and 2025. The data were processed using Biblioshiny, VOSviewer, and Microsoft Excel to identify publication trends, citation dynamics, influential authors and sources, and thematic research clusters. The findings reveal a steady annual growth rate of 5.96%, with dominant contributions from Malaysia, Indonesia, and Saudi Arabia. Cluster analysis identified four main research themes: Islamic Stock Market, Banking and Economic Performance, Financial Markets and Investment, and Risk Management and Financial Assets. Recent research trends increasingly address topics such as bitcoin, COVID-19, and geopolitical risk, reflecting the expanding scope and relevance of Islamic stock research in global financial discourse. This study contributes to the literature by providing a focused thematic map of Islamic stock scholarship, highlighting knowledge gaps and potential future research directions for academics, policymakers, and ethical investors

How Can Sharia-Compliant Investments Minimize Risk Without Sacrificing Returns?

    No full text
This research examines how sharia-compliant investments can minimize risk without sacrificing returns through portfolio optimization. Using the Single Index Model (SIM) and Capital Asset Pricing Model (CAPM), this study evaluates the performance of stocks in the IDX Sharia Growth index from November 2022 to October 2024. Data from 30 companies were analyzed, with stock returns based on daily closing prices, Bank Indonesia Certificates as a proxy for risk-free returns, and the Composite Stock Price Index for market returns. Stocks were ranked based on Excess Return to Beta (ERBi), and the optimal portfolio was determined using the cut-off rate. The results show that the SIM portfolio (12 stocks) offers higher returns with lower risk, while the CAPM portfolio (15 stocks) provides similar returns to individual stocks but with lower risk. The findings confirm that sharia-based portfolio optimization effectively reduces risk while maintaining returns, providing valuable insights for investors seeking sharia-compliant financial strategies

CBT- and EMDR-based Trauma-Focused Therapy for Treating Trauma in Elderly Women Victims of Sexual Violence in Ledokombo, Jember

    No full text
The unique aspect of this study lies in the integration of CBT and EMDR, which are usually used separately in trauma therapy, resulting in a more comprehensive approach to trauma healing. This study also focuses on victims of sexual violence  in the rural area of Ledokombo, Jember, who are rarely the subject of research, thus presenting a contextual, innovative, and culturally sensitive therapy model. The research approach used is qualitative with a case study. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation, and analyzed using thematic analysis techniques. The results of the study indicate that the combination of CBT and EMDR is effective in helping to reduce trauma symptoms such as excessive anxiety, nightmares, flashbacks, and deep feelings of guilt and shame. CBT helps clients identify and modify maladaptive thought patterns that trigger distress, whereas EMDR facilitates the reprocessing of traumatic memories, thereby alleviating emotional burdens. The therapeutic process is conducted gradually and tailored to the physical and psychological condition of the elderly, creating a sense of safety and trust during the intervention. In conclusion, the integration of Trauma-Focused Therapy based on CBT and EMDR has a significant positive impact on the psychological recovery of elderly women who are victims of sexual violence, and can serve as a relevant intervention model applicable in rural communities with a culturally sensitive approach. This study provides practical contributions for counselors in implementing culturally sensitive integrated therapy, and has implications for rural communities in raising awareness and support for survivors of sexual violence
