Sliding Mode Control for an Inverted-Triple Pendulum System Based on the H∞ Control Scheme
Get PDFapplication/pdfA stabilization control for an inverted-triple pendulum system connected in series is investigated by formulating a reduced-order model excluding the cart velocity, and by using a sliding mode controller (HSMC) based on the H∞ control theory, a conventional H∞ servo controller (HIC), and a frequency-shaped regulator (FSLQ) to compare the robust performance against a disturbance impulsively applied to the 3rd link. By applying the loop-shaped H∞ control scheme to the design of the switching plane of the sliding mode, the robust hyper-plane with both frequency characteristics and integral ones can be easily realized even to a multi-link system having the jw poles. The HSMC system designed here exhibits considerably excellent robustness as compared with other robust control systems beginning with the HIC and FSLQ systems.departmental bulletin pape

In the present condition，the recycling of waste depends on reclamation，due to its low saturation level. In order to over come such a problem，it is necessary to consider the recycling method of disposal plastic. One of the methods for recycling plastic waste is by mixing it with Masa for the purpose of ground stability. This paper considers the reduction of the reclamation places by using the plastic waste as a mixing with conventional construction materials. It inquires about use for engineering-works materials especially this time. A waste plastic is mixed in the Masa，the adhesion effect of the scarce Masa is raised to adhesiveness from various soil examination，and it aims at examining the effect as the stable processing ground experimentally.departmental bulletin pape

Get PDFapplication/pdfDevelopment of the integrated circuits for road sign illuminated by using the white light emitting diode with the solar cell was demonstrated. This road sign was consisted of the solar cell, road sign, controller, and the battery and was installed at Kenkyu Seika Katsuyou Plaza Hiroshima October 2002. The electrical power consumption for lighting the road sign with white light emitting diode (LED) using the block duty circuit was become low down to about 3 W, and this value is 1/3 compared with static operation. Database on dynamic properties of wooden buildings and dynamic and static loading tests of wooden framed structures
Get PDFapplication/pdfIn order to evaluate fundamental dynamic properties of wooden framed structures，dynamic and static loading tests were conducted using one bay-one story structures. A database on wooden residential building was summarized taking notice of construction method，total floor area，weight，natural period and damping factor. In the dynamic loading test，shaking table tests had been done and a damage state was quantitatively evaluated，based on difference of natural frequencies and response magnifications before and after earthquake-like excitations. With this method, a lifetime optimization methodology for planning the inspection and repair of structures that deteriorate over time is able to be discussed by means of numerical analysis for a reinforced concrete T-girder that is deteriorating due to corrosion of steel rods in a rigorous environment. A Study of Seminar Assignment Using Hopfield Nets

We adopted the seminar assignment method, in which the teachers in charge put the students in each seminar with due regard to the balances of 3 elements: the major ranks of students, the fixed numbers of seminars and few involuntary students. These problems are solved using Genetic Algorithms but it took many hours. This time I have got the good results in a short while by using Hopfield Nets.
