Recording of lndividual Data of Students for Self Establishment
application/pdfIn recently,few students represent attractive contents when they describe generally about their own past student life in the resume to find employment. This suggests that the students live without aim. 80 we offer the recording system that students describe self in a questionnaire form about the purpose to aim in their life for one year and evaluate self it after one year,and describe next new purpose to aim in the year. In this recording system,even the students who do not so have a critical concern to the growth or self reform,can describe easily. And it is expected that this system gives the good effect to grow up their independence. This report shows the results which we applied two times (one time every year) the recording system to the students in the Architectural Engineering Course,and suggests that teacher can give an appropriate advice to the students on basis of information obtained in this recording system and take many educational effects.departmental bulletin pape
Cooperative Agents for Maintenance Scheduling in Deregulated Power System
application/pdfThis paper proposes a multi-agent approach to maintenance scheduling in restructured power systems. The restructuring of electric power industry has resulted in market-based approaches for unbundling a multitude of service provided by self-interested entities such as power generating companies (GENCOs), transmission providers (TRANSCOs) and distribution companies (DISCOs). The Independent System Operator (ISO) is responsible for the security of the system operation. The schedule submitted to ISO by GENCOs and TRANSCOs should satisfy security and reliability constraints. The proposed method consists of several GENCO Agents (GAGs), TARNSCO Agents (TAGs) and a ISO Agent (IAG). The IAG's role in maintenance scheduling is limited to ensuring that the submitted schedules do not cause transmission congestion or endanger the system reliability. From the simulation results, it can be seen the proposed multi-agent approach could coordinate between generation and transmission maintenance schedules.departmental bulletin pape
Micro-tremor properties of wooden framed houses and the housing site ground
application/pdfThe influence on earthquake damage of wooden houses by the difference in the dynamic properties between cut ground and fill ground is investigated. Moreover,relation between the dynamic characteristics of wooden houses and their earthquake damages is clarified,in Ajina area of Hatsukaichi City,where the many roof-tiles were damaged. The transfer function in 2 stories of wooden houses has a clear peak in 3.57~7.50Hz. On the other hand,the H/V spectrum at the housing site has a clear peak in 2.45~3.24Hz on fill ground,and on boundary between fill ground and cut ground. It is probable that the earthquake damage to roof-tiles of wooden houses,due to the 2001 Geiyo earthquake,is strongly related to the predominant frequency of the hosing site on the fill ground with the resonance effect of the wooden framed structure.departmental bulletin pape
RESEARCH OF DESIGN,CONSTRUCTION AND MAINTENANCE OF PERMANENT GROUNDWATER PRESERVATION METHOD
application/pdf切土構造を有する道路建設において,帯水層を連続的に分断することに起因した地下水障害を防止するために、地下水環境保全を目的とした復水工法を開発,施工した.従来の復水工法の多くは工事期間中の地盤沈下対策としての一次的な工法であるのに対し,本工法はサイフォンとドレーンという既存の技術を組み合わせ,復水機能を恒久的に持続させることを目的としている.本工法の設計,施工は,復水機能を持続させるために,目づまりの要因を極力排除するという観点で行い,また施工中の地下水障害の影響を軽減するために施工にも工夫を行った.さらに,効率的な維持管理を行うためのモニタリングシステムを導入したことにも特徴がある.なお本検討では,施設完成後10年経過した段階で本工法の検証を行い,復水機能の耐久性の評価を行った.journal articl
Fabrication of integrated circuits of “Monozukuri” education associated with system LSI
application/pdfHiroshima Institute of Technology has been teaching integrated circuit designs and semiconductor processes since 1989. We made the lecture system about the fabrication of pMOS FET using semiconductor processing and testing apparatus in Kitakyushu Science and Research Park for students in this year. The operation of the fabricated IC was confirmed using ID-VD characteristic of pMOS FET by students. They had the successful experience to fabricate and to test IC. EXPERIMENTAL STUDY ON RESTORING FORCE CHARACTERISTICS OF STEEL EXPOSED COLUMN BASE CONSIDERING CONCRETE FAILURE
application/pdfExperimental study on steel exposed column bases with a steel foundation has been carried out, and restoring force characteristics of the column bases are shown to be slip-type models. The column bases are usually constructed on concrete foundation so that the failure of concrete must affect the restoring force characteristics of the column bases. Therefore, two types of concrete foundations are employed to examine the effect of the failure on the characteristics of the column bases under monotonic or cyclic horizontal loading. The experiments are carried out and the following conclusions are drawn. 1) The models of cyclic characteristics are in good agreement with the experimental results of column bases with the steel foundation and with 50mm mortar on the concrete foundation. 2) In case of 150mm unreinforced concrete on the concrete foundation, the experimental result shows to be lower than the model because of the failure of concrete. 3) The failure of concrete at RC column to steel roof beam connection caused by 2001 Geiyo Earthquake can be considered to be similar with the failure of concrete foundation destroyed by the base plate of column base.departmental bulletin pape
Mechanochemical Reaction of Mechanically Alloyed Powders in the Ni-Al System
application/pdfMechanochemical reaction by mechanical alloying (MA) was investigated for powder mixtures of Ni-33mol%Al. Exothermic reaction was striking in the MA powders of fine layered structures observed in an intermediate stage of the MA process, and the MA powders induced combustion synthesis in air (room temperature) and vacuum heating at a relatively low temperature (near 673K). The experimental results were discussed on the basis of the model created by Bhattacharya and Arzt. The reason for the activation of combustion synthesis by MA is considered to be extra diffusivity caused by ultrahigh dislocation density, such that the high reaction heat forms a liquid phase locally which induces combustion synthesisdepartmental bulletin pape
Earthquake damage evaluation of wooden framed structures by shaking table and static loading tests
application/pdfShaking table test of wooden framed structure was conducted under light,moderate or heavy dead load. The dead weight to wooden fame was changed for 2.0kN/㎡,4.0kN/㎡,or 5.9kN/㎡,and the maximum acceleration level of the input earthquake excitation was increased from 200cm/s^2 to 2,000cm/s^2 gradually. Fundamental dynamic behavior of one-story,one-bay wooden frame with or without braces and/or plywood panel walls was investigated. The influence on a natural period and a response magnification of the structure is focused. Moreover,the effect due to vertical vibrations (up and down) and specifications of beam-to-column joint connectors are also considered. In conclusions,the following were clarified. Natural period of the elasticity limit,Te,of wooden framed structure was proposed as an evaluation index of damage at the earthquake. It is defined as the structural damage in plasticity when the natural period exceeds Te. Multi-Agent Approach to Bulk Power System Restoration
application/pdfIn recent years, the electric utility industry worldwide has been facing pressure to be deregulated. Along with it, risk of blackout in large area will also increase. Actually, it is still vivid in our memory that the northeastern US and southern Canada suffered the worst blackout in history. Consequently, a method to find the optimal solution rapidly is needed all the more. In this paper, we propose a new multi-agent method for a bulk power system restoration. In order to demonstrate the capability of the proposed multi-agent system, it has been applied to a model bulk power system, which consists of three local areas including twelve generating units and twelve loads, and three remote areas with twelve loads. A large number of simulations are carried out on this model network with changing conditions.
