Vibration Control of a Pendulum System Based on 2 Type Actuators with Different Controllers : Especially of the Combination System with a Neural Network Type Controller
application/pdf2 type controllers in which one is a model-based compensator (VSS controller to move a weight up and down along the pendulum member) and the other is a non-model-based compensator (a neural network controller to move another weight along the circumference) are adopted for the vibartion control of a pendulum system. It is found that the latter NN controller in the composite compensator system has more remarkable effect to suppress the vibration especially in lower amplitude region than the vibration control system including only the former compensator, and therefore that the composite control system shows a vibration suppressing effect over all vibration amplitude reglons. When the specific damping capacity (SDC) is used as a criterion for the vibration suppression effect, SDC=0.0884 in only the VSS control system, while SDC=0.0884 in the VSS system enhanced by the NN controller.departmental bulletin pape

This holds true of Kobe area in the north of Hiroshima-shi. There are many new houses,and a lot of trucks usually pass along the national road R54. For this reasons,Kobe area is chronic is congested. Voltage Control by Using Multi-Agent Approach
application/pdfIn this paper, we propose a new decentralized multi-agent approach for a voltage control using LRT transformers and static condensers (SCs)/shunt reactors (SHR). The proposed multi-agent system is constructed with two-Ievel hierarchical architecture. Several Local Area Control Agents (LAGs), which correspond to the local area control system, are located at the sub-stations/power-stations in the lower voltage level areas, while Several Global Area Control Agents (GAGs), which correspond to the global area control system, are located at the substations in the high voltage level areas. In order to demonstrate the capability of the proposed multi-agent system, it has been applied to a model power system network. Restoring Force Characteristics of Steel Framed Structure with Non-Compression-Braces
application/pdfNon-compression braces have following advantages: 1) No buckling phenomenon happens. 2) No slip phenomenon due to plastic deformation of the brace happens. 3) The restoring force characteristics show spindle-shaped curve. 4) When the wedge device is installed at the braceend, the conventional braces can be transformed into the non-compression braces. In this paper, horizontal loading tests of rigid frames with braces attached by high-strength bolts were carried out in order to examine the applicability of the non-compression braces to rehabilitation of existing structures. The K-shaped braces as well as the X-shaped ones were employed to clarify the deformation behavior of strengthened fames. The initial rigidity and the strength of the frames with the braces increased and the cyclic characteristics of the frames showed spindle-shaped.departmental bulletin pape
Consideration of a Self-Excitation Phenomenon of Three-Phase Induction Generator
application/pdfThe accident that household electrical appliances in dozens of private houses failed happened several years ago. It seems to be caused by the abnormal voltage rise which resulted from a self-excitation phenomenon due to a condenser installed for power factor improvement of three-phase induction generators. In order to make this case clear, we considered theoretically and experimentally the outbreak of a self-excitation phenomenon of a condenser by using an experimental machine in this paper. The result made it clear that a self-excitation phenomenon was easily generated in single-phase alternating current load compared with in three-phase one. Therefore, it is possible to consider that the self-excitation is promoted by new electromotive force induced by the magnetic field for a component of negative-phase sequence.departmental bulletin pape
Mechanism on Rehabilitated RC Frame Using Hysteretic Damper lnstalled in Beam Lower Space
application/pdfWe proposed the new rehabilitation technique of RC frame using hysteretic damper installed in beam lower space. A short steel lever is attached in the middle of beam. Two hysteretic dampers are installed between a steel lever and RC column. Hysteretic damper consists of notched steel strip and channel stiffener to prevent the buckling. It is so called buckling constrained brace. Two methods of connection between hysteretic damper and RC column are proposed. One is tension-bolt-type connection and the other is compression-plate-type connection with wedge device. To show the availability of the present rehabilitation technique, cyclic loading tests on scaled RC frame with hysteretic damper were performed. Results and conclusions obtained from loading tests are summarized as follows. 1) Damper yields within small story drift, so that the system absorbs the seismic energy effectively. 2) There is no significant difference in total absorbed energy between tension-bolt-type connection and compression-plate-type one.departmental bulletin pape

application/pdf‘Kagura’ is performed in religious buildings called ‘Kodono’. We consider the architecture as an enjoyable enhancement of the ‘Kagura’ performance. Up to now we have thought that the architecture relates to the soothing of gods. But the author,through close observation of ‘Kagura’ performances in the Chugoku region,came to a different conclusion to any preceding studeis. Development of an Automatic Operation System of the Carrier Applied a Linear Induction Motor

A new method for stopping a chassis at designated position has been proposed by authors so far. The strong point of this stop method is to be able to stop automatically a chassis by non-contact and no vibration. Flow Characteristics of Circulating Fluidized Bed
application/pdf液相循海流動床には、従来の流動床よりも高い管内流速域で運転することにより、従来の流動床の利点に加え、充填粒子量を削減できる利点がある。このことより食品工業、石油化学、等の分野に応用する潜在的な能力を持つとされて研究が進められ、一部はすでに実証段階から実用段階に入っている。液相循環流動床を応用した熱交換器や反応器の設計に際して粒子充填量を決定するための重要なパラメータに粒子ホールドアップがある。また、粒子ホールドアップは従来の流動床からわかるように、伝熱特性等の研究においても重要な値である。この粒子ホールドアップに関しては、Grbavcicら、Liangら、Leeらの研究が知られている。しかしながら、繰り返し計算が必要であったり、明らかな間違いがあるなど、未だ実用的といえる方法は知られていない。そこで、本実験はこのホールドアップに予測式を作成することを主目的に実験を行った。conference pape

First,w e have the high school student experience a peculiar facilities and idea to the university. Second,we should make the class understood in the second grade of high-school. Third we should do the class where a lot of experiments are included. We because our university is the engineering department-affiliated. Fourth the experiment is conducted from among the experiment where it goes to the student at our university now. Fifthly,we should do consideration where the high school student makes the report to their high schools easily,the reason is that the high school student reports on the result in their high schools,and the credits are recognized. From the questionnaire we are recognizing that the high school student understood our purpose well. This class succeeded because we worked outside the class and the experiment.
