    application/pdfCDやDVDなどの家庭用光ディスクストレージはその取り扱い過程で発生する指紋、ゴミ、傷などによるデータ信頼性の劣化が危惧され、データの信頼性確保のための技術的課題の明確化と対応が必要である。今回は、懸案事項の一つ、誤り発生状況の把握をおこない、誤りのモデル化を検討した。DVD-RAMの指紋誤りにおける誤り状態をビット単位で計測し、ギルバートモデルへの適応評価をおこなった。単純モデルは誤り(light)では良く一致するが、誤り(hard)ではモデル計算値と実測値との誤差が大きくなり、変形モデルを適用することにより良い近似結果を得ることできた。conference pape

    Study on restoring force characteristics of T-shaped beam-to-column connection jointed by new joint system

    application/pdfIn this paper, an experimental study on beam-to-column connections subjected to cyclic loadings was carried out. Three types of T-shaped specimens were employed for the loading tests. The following conclusions were drawn from the experimental results. 1) A connection with non-compression knee braces shows bi-linear restoring force characteristics. 2) A connection using normal-strength bolts with a wedge device possesses self-centering capability. 3) A self-centering connection with non-compression knee-braces is applicable to a sustainable structure having all elastic members except the knee-braces and bolts.departmental bulletin pape

And the traffic service for private cars,is not satisfactory in transportation to children,students,senior citizens,handicapped persons and people who do not have their private cars or driver's license. The aim of this paper is to evaluate the service level of public transportation in Itsukaichi district of Hiroshima City,which is commuter town.     application/pdfAt Kure City and Kumano-cho,Aki-gun in Hiroshima Prefecture,the seismic intensity rose to the highest level,6 or less,in the 2001 Geiyo earthquake. This research aims to investigate the relationship of wall area index of conventional wooden-framed houses for earthquake-proof and micro-tremor property to the roof-tile damage. The micro-tremor property measurements are commonly taken to survey the earthquake damage of the wooden houses and the site ground condition. However,their close relations to earthquake damage,wall area index,the micro-tremor property are not so clear. The observed results shows that as the construction year of the house is newer,the natural frequencies becomes higher and the tile-roof damage due to the Geiyo earthquake is smaller. Concerning the relatively old houses,natural frequencies decrease as wall area index decreases,especially in the short-span direction of the house.departmental bulletin pape

    A study on the distribution access to the tram stop.

The tram is newly established, and a traffic kind that becomes an object is an existing improvement of the tram, and new establishment of the subway and the new traffic system. The evaluation element that had been valued when newly public transportation was maintained is thought to be a cost transportation power speed of the cost of construction management expense. In that case, the thing with excellent ability of public transportation that becomes an object might not necessarily become a thing that convenience is high for the user. The purpose of this research evaluates the public traffic seen from user’s aspect. Not only the performance of public traffic but also it shows and the performance is verified about the total as “Movement” including on foot. As for the result, if transportation to the center of a city where Hiroshima City will not be crossed in a short time and a lot of employment exists is assumed to be the first purpose, the condition of a current stop is thought to be effective in the project plan that increases the rating speed of the train as it is.departmental bulletin pape

    Some Problems Encountered in the Measurement of Impulse Response Waveform and Frequency Transfer Function of Plastic Optical Fiber

    application/pdfVarious attempts to measure precisely impulse response waveforms and frequency transfer functions of a plastic optical fiber (POF) of 1mm in diameter and 0.5 in N.A. are reported in this paper. The waveforms showed a remarkable difference when the POF end surface was placed at the glass window position of the hermetic container of the photodiode (PD) on one hand, and in contact with the semiconductor surface after breaking the glass on the other. An optical oscilloscope (OOS) was tested. Output waveforms measured with the OOS showed insignificant differences from those measured with the PD with the POF end surface placed at the glass window position. The waveforms measured with the PD changed their profiles as the POF length was varied: The peak of the pulse moved from the pulse rear to the front with increasing length. Waveforms theoretically calculated by using measured far-field patterns (FFPs) and non-scattering approximation could clearly explain the features of the measured waveforms. Measurements of frequency transfer functions were carried out by using a newly designed 1:1 relay lens placed in front of the PD. The measured transfer function was characterized by well-known large attenuation at the frequency equal to the reciprocal of the waveform width. The frequency transfer function measured with and without the relay lens especially showed a difference at the frequency mentioned above.departmental bulletin pape
