Survey research on the learning environment of university lecture room
application/pdfIn this study, we examined the survey of indoor environment in a university lecture room is a place of intellectual production in young people, about the impact the indoor environment is given to the learning efficiency. The following findings were obtained from this measurement and questionnaire survey.
The lecture room air temperature was about 24 –28°C, relative humidity was 40 –80%. The concentration of carbon dioxide was less than 1000 ppm, the illuminance was about 650 –1300 lx, the noise level was 50~70 dB average. Satisfaction with the thermal environment and air environment was the result of a higher level of importance than the sound environment, light environment, the space environment. A study on city planning and life related facilities which can walk and live
application/pdfRecently, the decline of urban activity has been remarkable. One of reasons is the low level of pedestrian facilities because of the development for motorization. In consideration of population decreasing and aging, the improvement of pedestrian facilities as well as the bus system to support walking must be more important.
In this paper, the effect of a moving walk system in the central area and a circular bus system in the suburban area were shown based on two case studies. In addition, an example of guide for development of pedestrian facilities including bus system was proposed based on these results.
As a result, there was an insufficient district to a range taken the service of the bus and the transport capacity of the bus for the population with the use possibility, and it understood that it was thought to let you detour around a bus route to the populous district in the range that repositioning a bus stop or road circumstances permitted the populous place for the improvement of these problems.departmental bulletin pape
Production of the Structural Mechanics Models for Education Using Piezoelectric Elements and Light Emitting Diodes
application/pdfStructural mechanics is a mostly required subject for designers and construction engineers to buildings.However, it becomes one of the difficult subjects for the students to understand. The reason why its understanding is difficult is that force is invisible. Therefore, we aimed at the production of the structural mechanics model which visualize force, using piezoelectric element and LED (Light Emitting Diode). The models presented in this study are a simply supported beam and a truss structure. A position of the subjected load and its relation of reaction forces to the beam become clear by using this beam model. Evaluation of Required Bit Depth for Digital Cinema using CIEDE2000 Color Difference Model
application/pdfSeveral color dif ference models have been specified by CIE, and amongst them the CIE 1976 L*a*b*model is widely used in various industry applications for its simplicity. However, it should be needed to investigate the underlying parameters, such as quantization bit depth and gamma value, for emerging high quality imaging systems by means of the newer CIEDE2000 mode. This paper comparatively discusses the required bit depth for digital cinema applications using the both of CIE 1976 L*a*b*and CIEDE2000 color models. The simulation results show that the required bit depths obtained from these two color difference models approximately coincide with each other, so that the design method proposed by the authors with CIE 1976 L*a*b*model enables to predict the required bit depth for high quality imaging systems in a simple manner.departmental bulletin pape
Proposal of Dynamic Quantification Analysis Method of Twitter Users : Toward the Utilization of Twitter at the Time of Disaster
application/pdfThe authors have previously addressed the analysis of Twitter to automatically extract valuable information sent by humans with high real-time property. Since a lot of information sent by automatioc posting programs called "bot" has mixed in Twitter, currently a method to remove bot's voice has been developed. From our past studies, the identification of bots with satisfactory accuracy was confirmed by the filtering method. Based on the previous efforts,this paper proposes entropy based dynamic quantification analysis method of Twitter users toward the utilization of twitter at the time of disaster.If a disaster occurs, long-term data on Twitter will not be available because valuable information for the disaster should be collected as soon as possible. Therefore in this paper, the usual method is improved by changing the range of data set for analysis dynamically. Current status of international standardization in LED lighting focus on East Asia
application/pdfLighting market will be replaced with solid-state lighting (SSL) from the existing lighting. The case of bulb type LED amount of shipment was very small until 2008. But from 2009(FY), The LED bulb type lighting shipment was exceeded 4 million pcs in Japan domestic market according to JELMA (Japan Electric Lighting Manufacturing Association) statistics. Finally, the LED bulb type lighting shipment was exceeded 4.54 million pcs monthly basis in the end of 2011. This number of shipment indicates that LED market has been expanding rapidly. However, LED lighting using semiconductor technology is different from the existing lighting. Therefore, we have problem in the development of technical standards.
