A STUDY ON RESISTING CHARACTERISTICS OF EP COLUMN-BASE
Get PDFapplication/pdfGenerally, an exposed column-base consists of anchor-bolts and thick base plate, connecting steel column and concrete foundation. These column-bases showed semi-rigid behavior, caused by anchor-bolt elongation and base plate bending deformation of out of plane. The conventional columnbase detail is very difficult to evaluated of rigidity and strength. The author propose a new type of column-base, that has enhanced precision of rigidity and strength.

Sports lighting of an arena using LED, and an installation example
Get PDFapplication/pdfIn recent years, sports lighting of physical education facilities has changed from mercury lamps to LED lighting. The LED lighting has excellent ON / OFF and energy saving characteristics, and has become convenient to use. In sporting events, such as, volleyball, etc., athletes may face up to the ceiling and thus the source of illumination. Constant measures are needed to protect the eyes of these athletes. In this study, we describe the change from mercury lamps to LED lighting in the Kawasaki gymnasium. We investigated to reduction of glare when seen directly by humans in the gymnasium using a high intensity light source such as LED. In addition, we show three examples of the installed LED lighting in the arena. And finally, show a measurement example of three-dimensional brightness of the arena using a drone.departmental bulletin pape

Get PDFapplication/pdf情報学部が実施しているFBIT Program の学生がオープンキャンパスのスタッフに携わる際の接遇研修を行った。研修は，よい接遇を学び，練習することを第1 の目的とした上で，コミュニケーション力やリーダー力の成長につながるスタッフ同士の交流が生まれることを意図して構成された。研修の内容は，ロールプレイ，グループディスカッション，ミニ講義の三部構成で行った。
研修後，参加者を対象にアンケート調査を行ったところ，研修に参加した学生は具体的な接遇のやり方を学ぶだけでなく，接遇の難しさを再確認することで問題意識が高まったり，相手の立場に立って考えることの重要性を感じるといった意識の変化がみられた。また，スタッフ同士の良好な関係がよりよい接遇につながるという回答が上級生に多くみられ，FBIT Program に参加している学生の人間関係を重視する姿勢が明らかになった。今回は，交流と体験を重視した研修を通して学生の学びがより深まる可能性について検討し報告する。departmental bulletin pape
Horizontal loading tests of wooden framed walls for earthquake-resistant improvement using short diagonal members
Get PDFapplication/pdfThis study aims to investigate load-deformation capacity of the walls including with three sets of crossed diagonal timber members under earthquake, in order to use earthquake-resistant improvement of the existing wooden houses. Two types of three braced wall specimens installed wooden frames, totally six specimens, were tested under repeated static loading horizontally, simulated earthquake load, in relative story-drift from 1/450 rad to 1/10 rad. The diagonal members like braces bear only compression force and are expected to perform axial ductility. It shows that relatively high earthquake resistance of the wall magnification (load carrying capacity), from 2.7 to 4.5, is obtained. The load at the specific deformation of 1/120rad story-drift in elastic region and the ultimate load capacity based on the structure properties coefficient Ds are comparable, consequently the wall gives the good balance in both elastic and plastic regions.departmental bulletin pape

Two-dimensional loading tests on local-collapse-type frames with wedge-device column joints are carried out to clarify reduced performance of residual deformation of frames. The loading tests on large deformation of the frames subjected to various vertical axial compression verify that restoring force characteristics of the frames do not show negative slop tendency due to P-delta effect of compression.departmental bulletin pape

This paper shows performance of residual deformation reduction and earthquake response behavior of the steel buildings with R-brace obtained by the numerical analysis. The response behavior is similar to the buildings with earth-quake magnitude and the usual design technique can be applied to capacity of R-brace. A Method to Classify Groups from a Group in which a Variety of Abilities are Observed
Get PDFapplication/pdfDue to the shrinkage of high school students and growth of the number of acceptance to universities in Japan, almost all the high school students are to be enrolled to universities, which causes various educational diffi culties in universities. To take care of students who were taught insuffi ciently in high schools, we have established the follow-up program aimed at helping students who need basic learning skills. In the follow-up program, LCT, learning check testing, is used to fi nd students who are necessary to be attended to the follow-up classes. However, LCT results can be used to another purpose. We have found that the LCT results, as well as the placement test result, are useful to classify groups from a group in which a variety of abilities are observed.
