Learning Analytics: Correct Answer Rate to Each Question
application/pdfTwo years and a half have passed since the follow-up program system (FP system) has begun, where the FP system consists of the LCT (learning check testing), the CWT (collaborative work testing), and the FCT (follow-up program testing). In this paper, we consider the CAR (correct answer rate) to each question in the LCT items, and compare the CAR in 2017 and that in 2018.|Although we have almost three years’ CAR results and we can compare among these results, we use only the cases of the results obtained in 2017 and in 2018. Because, in the first semester in 2016, the numbers of questions to analysis basic and linear algebra are six, but in the second semester, the numbers of questions are changed to be ten. In 2018, the numbers of questions are seven, and five questions are the same as used in 2017. Observation and Evaluation of Tidal Current and Turbulence around Bridge Piers for Selection of Optimum Position of Tidal Power Generation Using Bridge Piers
application/pdfIn the feasibility verification of tidal current power generation using bridge piers, we selected the installation position of the generator considering turbulence. As an example, we targeted the 4th pier of the Oshima Bridge in the Obatakeseto Strait in Yamaguchi Prefecture. AD2CP was installed at the bottom 3.5 m to the south of the piers and 40.0 m south to observe the tidal current. As a result, the tidal current distribution at each site was compared with the turbulence intensity, and the installation position of the tidal current power generation facility considering the influence of the pier was verified.departmental bulletin pape
A Study about war remains in Rijo-castle
application/pdfThe anti-aircraft strategy operation room, which used to be a facility of the old Japanese army and still exists in the precincts of Rijo-Castle, is a structure exposed to radiation in 1945 when the atomic bomb was dropped on Hiroshima. This structure has never been used since the end of World War II, and has become decrepit. No official documents of the structure remain, and the details of its present condition are not known well.|These facilities were also investigated the current year following fiscal year 2016. (1) made a drawing of the anti-aircraft war room more in-depth than an investigation, the interior where a crack around the ceiling of the approach structure in the anti-aircraft war room where was found newly was used, (2) the underground utility was checked around the anti-aircraft war room, related literature search was performed, in fiscal year 2015 the current year.|This structure was in Rijo-Castle, so all one which exists in Rijo-Castle couldn’t change the current state for a historical site, so it was to investigate in the area which can be done by non-destruction.|It’s clear from an investigation that deterioration continues, and it’s recommended that several ways will be taken for the preservation and some good use in the future. A Study on Effect of Non-Structural Components for Vibration Behavior of Steel Building Based on MicrotremorMeasurements
application/pdfSerious damage to non-structural components such as ALC walls, ceilings and windows was reported after the 2011 earthquake off the Pacific coast of Tohoku. However, it is thought that the stiffness buildings is effect of the stiffness and strength of non-structural elements as well as only structural skeletons. In this study, We observed microtremors of the 3-story steel building in the case of only structural skeletons and the case of inserting non-structural components, and compared the dynamic characteristics derived from of microtremors. Also, the effect of non-structural components for total behavior of the steel building in deliberated. As a result, it is confirmed that the torsional component is primary in the case of only structural skeletons, and is not primacy in the case of inserting non-structural components.|Based on it, effective data that facilitated a numerical model of building for studying the effect of non-structural components on buildings duaring large earthquakes are derived.departmental bulletin pape
Correlation between upper critical field and dimensionality in an unconventional superconductor
application/pdfβ-(BDA-TTP)2SbF6 is a layered organic superconductor with relatively high transition temperature Tc of 7.5 K. In order to investigate the superconducting(SC) state of β-(BDA-TTP)2SbF6, its interlayer resistance has been measured at magnetic fields up to 15 T and temperatures down to 1.5 K. The upper critical fields(Hc2) parallel and perpendicular to the conduction layer are determined and dimensional crossover from anisotropic three-dimensional(3D) behavior to 2D behavior is found around 6 K. When a magnetic field is rotated within the conduction layer at 6 K, Hc2 for magnetic field along the a* + c* direction is slightly larger than that for along the a* - c* direction. Normal-state magnetoresistance has the same symmetry as Hc2 and shows maximum(minimum) when a magnetic field is applied parallel to the a* - c*(a* + c*) direction. This behavior can be explained in terms of a Fermi surface anisotropy. At 3.5 K, however, we find clear fourfold symmetry of Hc2 despite the normal-state magnetoresistance shows twofold symmetry arising from the Fermi surface anisotropy. Origin of fourfold symmetry of Hc2 is discussed in terms of SC gap structure in β-(BDA-TTP)2SbF6.departmental bulletin pape

Learning Analytics: A Relationship Between the Number of Accesses to CWT and the Learning Ability
application/pdfTwo years and a half have passed since the follow-up program system(FP system)has begun, where the FP system was aimed at helping students who need basic learning and aimed at assisting teachers who have to engage in teaching a variety of educational students. Although some relationships, for example the relationship between the LCT(learning check testing)and the final test result, are revealed to make sense regarding their characteristics gradually, the relationship between the CWT(collaborative work testing)and the LCT or others is not yet investigated.|In this paper, we deal with the latter matter. We might assume that smarter students with high ability values may access to the CWT very frequently. This is a hypothesis in this paper. First, using 2017 CWT access data, we have investigated the relationship between the student’s ability via the LCT and the access frequency, and relationship between the LCT ability value and the LCT CAR(correct answer rate). Then, we can conclude indirectly that there are no relationship between the access frequency and the student ability via the relationship between the CWT CAR and the LCT ability.departmental bulletin pape
Learning Analytics: Trend of FPC Attendance in Three Years (2016-2018)
application/pdfWe investigate the trend of the FPC (follow-up program class) attendance in these three years (2016-2018). The reason why we picked up this issue is that we have felt that the attendance rates to the FPC have been gradually improved, and that the number of members to be attended to the FPC also have shrunk. In addition, the threshold values in 2018 determining the successs/failure to the LCT (learning check testing) have been raised than those in 2016 and in 2017.
