フランスの教科「物理・化学」の事例を参考として、現状に対する指摘を行った。日本の場合、学習指導要領
では中学校・高等学校共に言及されておらず、教科書では、誤差、有効数字の表し方・計算の処理の仕方にと
どまっており、統計的な扱いがないことなどを指摘した。また、科目や教科書選択によっては全く扱わないこ
ともあり得ることを指摘した。フランスでは学習指導要領にて「誤差と不確かさ」の項目が設けられており、
教科書では統計的な扱いが必要な不確かさの説明に比重が置かれて説明されている状況を報告し、グラフ関数

According to him, computers will become super-intelligent and surpass human beings. As a result of
the evolution, humankind will be replaced by robots. These two scholars’ views are similar in some

Seismic Strengthening with Grout Concrete for Existing Shear Wall
Get PDFapplication/pdfThis paper presents the seismic performance of RC walls retrofitted with high strength grout
concrete. The test walls were subjected to cyclic lateral loads under lateral displacement control.
The thickness of original wall was 50mm with side columns. The test walls were designed to
replicate existing walls, of which the concrete strength was 15N/mm2~25N/mm2. The strength of
the grout concrete used for retrofitting was more than 50 N/mm2. The final collapse mechanisms
of the all test walls were shear failure mode. The maximum strength of the retrofitted walls were
more than two times of the original wall. It is anticipated that there is strong possibility of high
strength grout concrete for retrofitting the existing shear wall.departmental bulletin pape
Success/Failure Prediction for Final Examination Using the LCT Results:A Model using 2017 LCT Data is Applied to 2018 LCT Data
Get PDFapplication/pdfThe author proposed a prediction method to find students with drop-out risks as early as possible
by using the learning check testing (LCT) results, where the nearest-neighbor method was used in
the previous paper. If we want to build a mathematical model using a part of 2018 LCT results and
we want to predict 2018 end-term results using the model, it is impossible to do that in the middle
of the term, because we will not have the final results until the end of the term. Thus, in this paper,
we investigated whether the proposed method was valid or not by applying the model built using
2017 LCT data to newly obtained 2018 LCT results. Using 2017 model, the prediction accuracies and
the corresponding confusion matrices applying to 2018 case were almost the same as that applying
to 2017 case. Therefore, the previously proposed method is proved to be useful.departmental bulletin pape
Understanding of Environmental Technology in Civil Engineering Field

とした施工現場の見学を実施した。現場見学は本学科の『環境の再生・共生』分野の専門科目である『環境修
復学』の授業の一環として行い、見学現場として『港湾における浚渫工事現場』を選定した。当該現場は、航
路水深の確保を目的としているものの、海域環境の保全・修復の視点からは、港内の底質負荷削減効果を促す
ことから、海域環境修復技術としての『浚渫』の設計と施工管理を学べる場と考えた。まず、見学前に『浚渫』
関する授業を行い、浚渫の計画・設計の考え方や具体的な工法について学んだ。その後、現場見学を実施する
ことで、実工事における施工技術を学び、施工管理を体験した。その結果、『港湾工事』に関する知見と理解が
向上することができ、環境修復技術としての『浚渫』工法についても理解を促すことができた。departmental bulletin pape

Get PDFapplication/pdf2016年度から始まったフォローアッププログラム（FP）において、受講生は上級生からのピア・サポートを
受けてきた。ここでは、2016年度から2018年度までの３ 年間のうちのどこかでピア・サポーターを担当した学
生に、FP に対するアンケートを行った結果を報告する。アンケート結果の要点は次のとおりである。
１ ． サポーターは、FP の意義を十分理解した上で、教えることによる自己成長を期待し、自己実現を成し遂
げられたと感じている。
２ ．サポーターは、教員との連携もうまくいき、教えることもうまくいったと感じている。
３ ． サポーターは、FP の効果の限界を知りながらも、FP の実施の重要性を認識し、FP の継続をとても強く
望んでいる。
４ ． 教育効果を上げるためには、１ 人のサポーターが受け持つ受講生の担当数は３ 人から５ 人までが好ましい

Descartes’s Problem

attempts to explain how these two things interact with each other but in vain. Why is that?
According to Buddhism, the reason is that the world is not divided as language segments the
world. Phenomena are one and whole thing but not divisible into several parts. But we divide the
world into parts using language and try to explain phenomena by combining words. So we fail to
understand phenomena by language even though we continue to explain them in more and more
details using words. In a sense, things words refer to are illusions that do not exist in advance
of language. We deceive ourselves that things exist independently of language. Descartes is no
exception. He deceives himself that mind and body exist independently of each other. But these two
things cannot be divided but are one and whole thing. So Descartes fails to explain how mind and

A Study on Causal Analysis about The Damage Overview of The Disaster Area andProtection Against Disasters Investigation by The Heavy Rain Event of July 2018
Get PDFapplication/pdfThe increase in the average temperature of the earth’s atmosphere causes floods and landslide
disasters associated with localized heavy rainfall in various parts of the country. Moreover, this
is a social problem: it has been repeatedly pointed out that people are unable to evacuate properly
even if information such as evacuation advisories and evacuation orders are issued after localized
heavy rainfall or upon the approach of a typhoon. The purpose of this report is to gather data to
prepare for large-scale natural disasters in the future by listening to the voices of residents, such
as daily awareness of disaster prevention and information that motivates residents to evacuate. For
that reason, a questionnaire and an interview survey were conducted targeting residents in the
Nakagawa area of Okayama, which was affected by the heavy rain event of July 2018.
It became clear that there was a lack of communication between the prefectural and city
administrations and the affected locality. Moreover, the questionnaire revealed that the meaning of
evacuation information was misunderstood and local hazard maps were not utilized by residents.departmental bulletin pape
Harris and His Opponents

Telementation explains verbal communication as transferring one person’s thought to another
person. Furthermore, fixed codes necessarily accompany telementation. If fixed codes do not exist,
telementation fails to achieve verbal communication successfully. In this sense, telementation and
fixed codes are the head and tail of the same coin. But Harris insists that that is not the case. On
