近年、海洋を中心に自然環境におけるマイクロプラスチック汚染が注目され、汚染の現状やメカ
ニズムについての知見が蓄積されつつある。しかし、多様な環境や生物の汚染の程度やメカニズム
も様々であると考えられるが、その一端が明らかにされているに過ぎない。また、マイクロプラス
チック汚染は比較的新しい研究課題で、調査・分析方法についても検討すべき課題が多い。
環境中に排出されるマイクロプラスチックを含むプラスチックゴミの多くは陸域を起源とし、主
に河川を通して海に運ばれる。汽水域は河川から運ばれた物質の堆積しやすい場所であることから
マイクロプラスチック汚染の hotspot となっている可能性がある。汽水域は生産性の高い海域で、
干潟の潮間帯に生息するカニ類は物質循環や食物連鎖で重要な役割を果たしており、これらの生物
に対するマイクロプラスチック汚染の影響が懸念されるが、これまで研究例は少ない。 
本論文は、高知県の市街地に位置する汽水域の干潟に生息するカニ類について、マイクロプラス
チック摂取状況を体内の器官別に調べるとともに、カニ各種の生態的な特性および生息環境のマイ
クロプラスチック汚染との関係から、カニ類のマイクロプラスチック汚染のメカニズムの解明を試
みた。以下に本論文を構成する課題ごとに成果と評価できる点を述べ、審査結果を記述する。 
第２章では、海洋から陸水までのマイクロプラスチック汚染の現状、マイクロプラスチックが検
出されている多様な生物の分類群について整理し、汽水域ではマイクロプラスチック汚染が進行す
る一方で、そこに生息し生態的にも重要なカニ類ついての知見が極めて少ないことを指摘した。 
第３章では、生物サンプルの処理・分析プロトコルにおけるマイクロプラスチック混入リスクを、
水、試薬、グラスフィルターおよび実験室の空気中からの混入に分けて、Nile Red 染色法による計
測で評価し、特に対策を取らない場合マイクロプラスチックの混入が生じることを示した。さらに
水、試薬についてはグラスフィルターによる濾過、グラスフィルターはマッフル炉による熱分解、
空気中からの混入はHEPAフィルターを装着した簡易卓上フードを用いることで、それぞれ混入量を
71%-100%減少させることができた。この混入防止策を行った生物標本分析のブランクテストにおけ
るマイクロプラスチックの検出数は平均±標準偏差（σ）：0.9±0.32 となり、検出限界(Limit of
Detection: LOD)を 3σとすると、本分析法による検出限界は 0.95 となり、生物 1 個体あたり数個
程度の汚染濃度でも検出できることが示された。この成果は、使用する試薬についてもマイクロプ

ラスチック混入について注意が必要であることを示し、また、広く一般的に使われる比較的安価な
器具で混入を抑える方法を示しており、どのような分野の研究室でも、高い信頼度で生物や環境サ
ンプルからのマイクロプラスチックの研究を行うことを可能にし、当該分野の発展に寄与すること
が期待できる。 
第４章では、干潟・湿地から採集したイワガニ上科４種とスナガニ上科３種の消化管、肝膵臓、
エラに含まれるマイクロプラスチックを分析し、全ての種の消化管、６種の肝膵臓、５種のエラか
ら検出限界値以上のマイクロプラスチックを検出した。マイクロプラスチック数は消化管で高く、
肝膵臓とエラでは低かった。３器官を合わせたカニ１個体あたりのマイクロプラスチック数は平均
1.7 個で、カニの種間で有意な差は見られなかった。一方、体重あたりのマイクロプラスチック数
では、スナガニ上科の３種はイワガニ上科の４種よりも高い傾向を示し、種間で有意な差が認めら
れた。全個体のうち、マイクロプラスチックが検出された個体の割合は 30%-77%と幅が見られ、種
間で有意な差が認められたが、分類群や生息場所による明瞭な傾向はなかった。器官別では、消化
管のマイクロプラスチックの検出率が高く、器官あたりのマイクロプラスチック数と同様の傾向で
あった。これらのことから、調査地のカニは全ての種がマイクロプラスチックを主に摂食により摂
取していることを示された。さらに、消化管から検出されたマイクロプラスチックのサイズは、主
に微小な堆積物や付着藻類を食べるスナガニ上科の３種では、より大きな植物片も摂食するイワガ
ニ上科の種よりも小さかったことから、摂取するマイクロプラスチックのサイズが食性によって異
なることが示唆された。また、Nile Red 法により検出された粒子の一部を顕微 FT-IR により同定し
た結果、PET, PE,PP など身近に使われているプラスチックが含まれていることが示された。また、
これまで海洋生物のマイクロプラスチック汚染を報告した研究で、用いた分析法の検出限界を考慮
した例はほとんどなく、本研究はより高い信頼度でマイクロプラスチックの検出を報告するアプロ
ーチを示しており、これらの成果は今後の当該分野の展開に重要な視点を与えるものと評価できる。 
第５章では、前述の７種のカニの汚染度と、生息場所の底質中のマイクロプラスチックの汚染度
を比較することにより、生息環境の汚染レベルが生物の汚染レベルにどの程度関係するのかを検証
した。底質中のマイクロプラスチック数とカニ体内のマイクロプラスチック数に有意な相関が示さ
れ(r=0.68, p=0.04)、両者は直線的な関係であることから、カニが餌とマイクロプラスチックを識
別できずに誤食している可能性を示した。この成果はカニ類でも水中の懸濁物を濾過して摂食する
二枚貝類と同様に環境中のマイクロプラスチックの濃度に比例して摂取し、汚染環境の指標として
用いることができる可能性も示している。 
以上のように、本論文は潮間帯に生息するカニ類を事例に、生物のマイクロプラスチック汚染に
おける生態的な特性の重要性、摂取経路と生息環境の汚染レベルとの関係、また標本分析における
マイクロプラスチック混入対策の提示と分析精度の評価により、当該分野の理解を進め今後の研究
の発展に寄与するものと評価できる。 
本論文に関する公開審査会は、令和５年 8 月 5 日に香川大学農学部において開催され、学位論文
発表と質疑応答が行われた。引き続いて開催された学位審査委員会で本論文の内容を慎重に審議し

 Indonesia, with an estimated 17,000 islands and more than 95,000 km2 of coastline, is one of the largest 
archipelagic countries, lies in the center of the triangle of the richest marine biodiversity, and supports the world’s 
second largest seafood production. Several key characteristics of marine ecosystems include coastal ecosystems (coral 
reefs, seagrass meadows, and mangrove forests), the open ocean, and deep-water ecosystems. In addition to 
biodiversity, the physical oceanography of this region is remarkable in several aspects. For example, the Indonesian 
Throughflow (ITF) connects two basins (the Pacific and Indian Oceans) through a series of narrow straits and 
potentially transports several incredible contaminants associated with fish larvae, particulate matter, and sediment 
degradation to the deep-sea environment of Indonesia. As a result, from the perspective of environmentalists, marine 
ecosystems in Indonesia are unexplored and unique tropical environments for marine pollution studies, as well as for 
evaluating the effectiveness of reduction and monitoring programs for organic micropollutants. 
In this study, for the first time, a comprehensive approach was conducted for samples from tropical regions to 
provide a benchmark for integrated ecological and human health risk assessments of organic micropollutants. 
Therefore, we formulated the following specific objectives: to optimize current methods for monitoring multiple organic 
micropollutants in sediment and biota samples from marine ecosystems; to elucidate concentrations, profiles, and potential 
sources of organic micro-pollutants in sediments and biota from marine ecosystems; and to provide evidence of potential 
risks from exposure to organic micro-pollutants in sediments and biota. To address the research objectives of this study, 
we provide a general introduction and analytical methods in Chapters 1-2. Chapters 3-6 focus on the analysis and risk 
assessment of organic micropollutants in sediment samples from mangroves and deep-sea ecosystems. Finally, in 
Chapters 7-9, we measure accumulation profiles and perform risk assessments in biological samples from Indonesian 
Seas, including mollusks, Indonesian coelacanths, and short-finned pilot whales. A detailed summary of each chapter is 
provided below: 
Chapter 1 provided an overview of the characteristics of marine ecosystems in Indonesia and their unique 
physical oceanographic conditions. In addition, the status and history of micropollutant studies in the Indonesian seas 
are elaborated. Finally, we proposed the general and specific objectives of this study. In Chapter 2, different sample 
matrices from various locations in Indonesia collected from 2012 to 2020 as part of this study are described (Figure 
1). Covering from coastal environments (e.g., mangrove sediments; sampling in 2018) to the deep sea (e.g., deep-sea

sediments, 2017 and 2018) and from lower trophic levels (e.g., mollusks; 2020) to higher trophic levels (e.g., Indonesian 
coelacanths; 2014 and short-finned pilot whales; 2012). In addition, we discuss different analytical methods used to 
determine organic micro-pollutants from different sample matrices. Target analysis in this study focused on persistent 
organic pollutants as well as other organic micropollutants, including 209 polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs), 41 
polybrominated diphenyl ethers (PBDEs), four alternative brominated flame retardants (aBFRs: PBEB, BB-153, BTBPE, 
and DBDPE), 26 organochlorine pesticides (OCPs), 19 polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs), and 15 methylated 
PAHs (Me-PAHs), which were analyzed using GC–HRMS and GC-qMS.

 Chapter 3 discussed our results for the first time using comprehensive approaches on micro-organic 
pollutants in mangrove sediments from Bintan Island, with PAHs being the most prevalent contaminants with 
concentrations ranged from 86‒370 ng g-1 dw (154 ng g-1 dw), followed by OCPs (1.4‒4.4; 2.5 ng g-1 dw), PCBs (0.80‒
4.0; 1.9 ng g-1 dw), PBDEs (0.19‒2.1; 1.1 ng g-1 dw), BDE 209 (0.42‒2.1; 0.88 ng g-1 dw), and other BFRs (not detected‒
0.56 g g-1 dw). Through full congener analysis, we determined unintentionally produced PCBs for the first time in 
mangrove sediments from Bintan Island, Indonesia, with concentrations ranged from 0.42‒1.7 ng g-1 dw. Location and 
mangrove species were the key determinants of PCB, OCP, BFR, and PAH concentrations and profiles in the Bintan 
Island mangrove sediments. Tetra-CB, pp-DDE, BDE-209, naphthalene and 2-methylanthracene were found at high 
concentrations. The predominant proportions of CB-47/48/75 and CB-11 suggest PCB dechlorination or 
unintentionally produced PCB emissions (UP-PCBs) (Figure 2). The origins can be traced back to pp-DDE and 
chlordane. Higher p,p'-DDE detection frequency and concentrations indicated aerobic degradation of previously used 
DDT, whereas the trans-chlordane/cis-chlordane ratio indicates ongoing chlordane applications. Higher levels of BDE-
209 and a smaller fraction of common congeners in PBDE combinations indicated the commercial usage of Deca-BDE 
and other probable sources of BFRs in the Bintan mangrove sediments, respectively. The PAH profiles in this study are 
typical of fresh petroleum inputs and product contamination. Further studies on the bioaccumulation and 
biomagnification of other organic micropollutants in mangrove ecosystems are required for sediment quality

assessment and seafood safety. Finally, this study contributes to data scarcity and confirms the role of mangrove 
ecosystems as accumulation zones and indicators of organic micropollutants in tropical coastal ecosystems.

 Chapter 4 provides the first evidence for the occurrence of PCBs and OCPs in the deep-sea environment of 
Indonesia. The concentrations of OCPs ranging from 0.26‒1.3 ng g-1 dw in Western Indonesia and 0.22‒1.5 ng g-1 dw in 
Eastern Indonesia were comparable to or even higher than that reported in other deep-sea sediment studies, for 
example, from the Eastern Indian Ocean and the Western Pacific Ocean. pp-DDE, trans-nonachlor, and HCB were three 
predominant OCPs. Similar to OCPs, the concentrations of PCBs (0.37−1.3 ng g-1 dw in Eastern Indonesia and 0.32−1.6 
ng g-1 dw in Western Indonesia) were also comparable with other studies in the Indian Ocean and Western Pacific 
Ocean but lower than those in studies from the Mediterranean Sea. The high proportion of lower chlorinated PCBs and 
potential sources of PCBs in the deep-sea sediment from Indonesia in this study seem to be correlated with the 
application of PCBs mixtures with low chlorinated congeners as the major components, such as KC-400, KC-500, 
Ar1248, or KC-1254, similar to previous studies on mangrove sediments from Bintan Island, aquaculture sediments 
from the coast of the Middle Java Province, and urban soil from the Surabaya region (Figure 3). This study revealed the 
long-range transport of micro-organic pollutants to deep-sea environments in tropical regions, and provided 
information on the mitigation of potential sources of PCBs and OCPs in Indonesia. Further deep-sea exploration of 
Indonesian seas is required, especially to observe persistent organic pollutants in other matrix samples, such as benthic 
and pelagic biota.

 In Chapter 5, we successfully evaluated the risk of the occurrence of organic micropollutants such as PCBs, 
OCPs, PAHs, and BFRs in mangrove sediments, as well as PCBs and OCPs in deep-sea sediments. We used sediment 
quality guidelines and proposed new consensus values based on existing and available sediment quality guidelines for 
three different categories of toxicity: threshold effect concentration (TEC), probable effect concentration (PEC), and 
extreme effect concentration (EEC). Based on our analysis, the contamination status of organic micro-pollutants in 
mangrove and deep-sea sediments remained low. However, in some samples, adverse effects may occur on benthic 
biota such as pp-DDE, dieldrin, naphthalene, and several PBDE congeners. Finally, future monitoring and risk 
assessment of organic micro-pollutants in mangrove sediments from Bintan Island should consider other perspectives 
from other experts, such as biology, ecology, oceanographic dynamics, climate, and anthropology, as mangrove habitats 
have important value for humans. 
 In Chapter 6, full congener PCBs (209PCB) were determined for various mollusk species from different 
locations in Indonesia, including Tanjung Pinang-Bintan Island, Pari Island-Thousand Islands, the Ancol fish market 
Jakarta Bay, and Semarang City. Our results showed that PCBs are still ubiquitous in Indonesia, with concentrations in 
mollusks from Jakarta Bay and adjacent areas being higher (13–4100 ng g−1 lw) than those found in Semarang City (40–
380 ng g-1 lw) and Tanjung Pinang-Bintan Island (5.6−640 ng g−1 lw). Figure 4 shows examples of PCBs accumulation 
profiles in mussels from Pari Island-Thousand Island, which showed similar patterns to other samples from Tanjung 
Pinang-Bintan Island, and Semarang, with low-chlorinated congeners (sum of mono- to penta-CBs) as the major 
congeners contributing to the total PCBs. PCB contamination in mollusks is likely dependent on habitat (suspended in 
the water column or buried in sediment), food preferences, habitat location (close to industrial areas such as Jakarta

Bay or Semarang Bay), or exposure time to contaminants. Finally, through this comprehensive study on full congener 
analysis of PCBs and a variety of mollusk species, we can learn more about PCBs levels and profiles and potential new 
bioindicators for further study.

 In Chapter 7, for the first time, we determined and reported the occurrence of organic micropollutants, 
including polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs), polybrominated diphenyl ethers (PBDEs), and other brominated flame 
retardants, in various tissues of the Indonesian coelacanth, a living fossil fish of Latimeria species, with concentrations 
ranged from 300‒2600, 3.9‒6.3, and not detected‒3.6 ng g−1 lw, respectively. We found a relatively high magnitude of PCB 
contamination in Indonesian coelacanths compared to other deep-sea fishes in the Pacific region, whereas the 
concentrations of PBDEs and other BFRs were lower than those found in other deep-sea organisms. The PCB profile 
differences between Indonesian coelacanth tissues, as shown in Figure 5, can be affected by various factors, including 
the properties of individual congeners, the relative proportion of lipid classes, or lipid mobilization between tissue 
compartments. Further elaboration and monitoring are required to elucidate the vertical transport and accumulation 
of legacy and emerging organic micropollutants in Indonesian coelacanth habitats. It is essential to implement this 
program to conserve Indonesian coelacanths in the future. Actions by all stakeholders are needed, not only through the

improvement of management practices for PCB-containing waste, capacity building, and other support to eliminate 
PCB contamination but also by conducting research and monitoring of contaminant levels in the prey and habitat of 
Indonesian coelacanths, keeping their habitat from anthropogenic pressure, and increasing societal awareness of 
coelacanth conservation status.

In Chapter 8, for the first time, short-finned pilot whale (SFPW) blubbers stranded in Indonesia are analyzed 
for 209 PCB congeners, 41 PBDEs, and four alternative brominated flame retardants (PBEB, BB-153, BTBPE, and 
DBDPE). In addition, this study also contributes to updating additional data on organic micropollutant contamination 
in the blubber of cetaceans from the Southern Hemisphere. In this study, the concentrations of PCBs, PBDEs, PBEB, BB-
153, and BTBPE were between 48−490 (mean: 240±140), 3.7−32 (13±8), <0.01−1.8 (0.73±0.49), <0.04−0.22 
(0.16±0.045), and 0.14−2.2 (1.3±0.50) ng g−1 lw, respectively. Relatively high proportions of tri-to-penta-CBs in 
juveniles and highly chlorinated recalcitrant congeners in structure-activity groups (SAGs) of subadult females were 
noted. Although PCB concentrations and dl-PCB TEQ values were below the threshold levels for harmful health effects 
in marine animals, significantly high PCB and TEQ dl-PCB levels in juveniles require follow-up investigation to 
determine the long-term effects of organic micropollutants on early survival and health. The standard operating 
method for necropsy and biological sampling of stranded marine animals should be shared with the stakeholders in 
the future. Research on stranding of Indonesian marine mammals should include these measures. Finally, teamwork is 
essential to understand the morphological, biological, and chemical health of Indonesian cetaceans. 
 In Chapter 9, we attempt to answer the last objective of this study, the risk assessment of organic micro-
pollutants in biota samples. The potential toxicity of dioxin-like PCBs levels in the blubbers of short-finned pilot whales, 
tissues of Indonesian coelacanths, and mollusks was assessed successfully using TEQ methods. We also conducted 
human health risk assessments for mollusk consumption from three locations in Indonesia: Tanjung Pinang-Bintan

Island, Jakarta Bay and adjacent areas, and Semarang City, by analyzing TEQ dl-PCBs and comparing them with 
maximum levels from the EU commission. We also conducted an analysis of EDIs, HQs, and HI for selected PCB 
congeners in adults (70 kg body weight) and children (20 kg body weight). Both the EDI and HQ were higher in children 
than in adults. However, because the setup of PCBs congeners is limited only to dl-PCBs and ICES-PCBs, further 
monitoring is needed, especially for seafood from locations affected by human activities, such as Jakarta Bay and 
adjacent areas. 
 Chapter 10 provides a summary, perspectives, and potential studies that can be conducted. The Indonesian 
environment, with its complex biodiversity and terrestrial to marine ecosystems, is a shame if it is only to be enjoyed 
and observed, but it also needs to be taken care of for the future lives of the people we love. Therefore, through our 
limited knowledge of environmental conditions in Indonesia, particularly for marine ecosystems, there are a number of 
gaps following our findings in this study and would benefit from further research, including state-of-the-art strategies 
for a better understanding of the extent of marine pollution and the response of ecosystems.  
The major results of this thesis are summarized as follows. 
➢ Our optimization of new clean-up methods provided high recovery on the surrogate and good agreement 
with SRM certificate value, reduced preparation time, and reduced solvent waste. 
➢ High concentrations of PCB in mangrove sediments and mollusks indicate anthropogenic stress, such as 
industrial and maritime transportation. 
➢ The occurrence of PCBs and OCPs in deep-sea sediments and Indonesian coelacanths may indicate long-range 
transport, bioaccumulation, and biomagnification. 
➢ The mother-off-spring transfer mechanism of PCBs and PBDEs was observed in a study on short-finned pilot 
whales. 
➢ The ecological and human health risks from the selected organic micropollutants in all samples were 
negligible or low risk. 
The following is an important perspective of this study.  
➢ We have provided an improved understanding of the ecological and human health risks posed by organic 
micro-pollutants in marine ecosystems.  
➢ Our results confirm various potential sources of organic micropollutants in the tropical marine ecosystem of 
Indonesia.  
➢ Science-based evidence to implement and evaluate the effectiveness of reduction and monitoring programs 
for organic micro-pollutants by highlighting vulnerable biota and potential risk areas is proposed. 
➢ Because more locations need to be investigated in Indonesia for environmental studies, we can ask people to 
join Citizen Science. New approaches to improving research scale and increasing public awareness of their 
ecosystems.  
➢ Collaboration is important for elaborating and providing solutions to environmental problems. Using more 
methods and studying from different perspectives to robustly capture the impact of human activities on 
ecosystem health. Examples include automatic intelligence, environmental DNA analysis, and field-based 
toxicity approaches.

では日本人の死因の第 6 位となっている。そのため、嚥下障害の早期診断と適切な治療介入が重
要である。これまでに嚥下障害の診断には種々の方法が行われているが、どの方法も一長一短が
あり、特に誤嚥量の評価や食道機能評価は困難であること、いずれの検査も二次元的な評価しか
できないことが弱点であった。また嚥下障害患者に対して様々なリハビリテーションが行われて
おり、中でも頸部回旋は有用な方法であることは知られているが、その有用性の機序については
解明されていない。近年 CT を用いた嚥下機能評価方法が注目されているが、本研究は 320 列 CT
を用いて嚥下機能の 4 次元的な動態解析を行った。さらに頸部回旋時の嚥下動態解析を行い、嚥
下障害患者に対する頸部回旋の有効性の機序解明を行った。 
【対象と方法】 
 対象は咽喉頭異常感症の患者 11 人で、320 列 CT を用いて左頸部回旋および非頸部回旋で、2
種類の粘度（薄い粘度と濃い粘度）を嚥下させて計 4 回の嚥下動態パターンを撮像した。測定項
目は嚥下関連器官（軟口蓋、喉頭蓋、食道入口部(UES)、声帯）の動作時間と咽頭体積（食道入
口部開大開始時の Bolus 割合、咽頭体積収縮率、嚥下前の咽頭体積）とした。統計学的処理は二
次元配置分散分析を行い、全ての項目で頸部回旋と粘度で有意差があるか比較検討した。また C

T 撮影による被曝量の計測も行った。 
【結果】 
頸部回旋により喉頭蓋反転開始時間と UES 開大開始時間が非回旋と比較して有意に早くなった。
喉頭蓋反転持続時間は薄い粘度で有意に延長した。また頸部回旋によって濃い粘度で UES 開大
開始時の咽頭における bolus 割合が増加した。咽頭体積収縮率は粘度と頸部回旋で有意差は認
めなかった。 
また、今回行った嚥下 CT は 1 回あたりの実効線量が 0.7 mSv であった。 
【考察】 
320 列 CT を用いた嚥下動態評価によって、嚥下機能に関わる諸器官の経時的な動態を把握する
ことが可能となった。今回の結果から、嚥下障害に対して頸部回旋が有効である機序について
は以下のように考察した。①咽頭体積が増加することで嚥下物が通過しやすくなり、咽頭粘膜
に早く到達する。②咽頭粘膜に嚥下物が早く到達することで嚥下中枢への知覚入力が早期に惹
起されて喉頭蓋反転開始時間が早くなる。③頸部回旋によって、非回旋側の舌骨上筋が伸張さ
れ、より強い咽頭収縮力が生じる。④嚥下物が咽頭粘膜に早く到達することで、UES 開大開始
時間も早くなる。これらの複合的な要因が、頸部回旋の有効性に関与していると考えられた。 
今回行った嚥下 CT は撮影条件を調整し、1 回あたりの実効線量が 0.7 mSv であったが、これは
従来の嚥下 CT の 1.08mSv、5 分間の撮影による嚥下造影検査の 1.05 mSv と比較して、約 3 割の
被曝量低減を達成できた。 
今後は嚥下 CT とマノメトリー検査を組み合わせて頸部回旋の更なる知見を解明する計画である。 
【結論】 
頸部回旋により嚥下中枢、咽頭体積と咽頭収縮力の変化により、喉頭蓋反転と UES 開大の開始
時間が早くなった。低被爆で 4 次元的な嚥下動態メカニズムを解析できる嚥下 CT 検査は嚥下
造影検査や嚥下内視鏡検査と並んで今後広く普及することが期待される。 
本論文は、嚥下評価において 320 列 CT の有用性を明示し、嚥下障害に対するリハビリテーシ
ョンである頸部回旋にて咽頭体積が増加する事を初めて報告し、明瞭な結果と十分な考察が提
示されている。 
公開審査会は、令和 5 年１月 6 日に開催され、申請者は、研究内容を英語で明確に発表した後
に、審査委員から本研究に関して 1)inclusion クライテリアと exclusion クライテリアについ
て、2)嚥下させる 2 種類の溶質粘度の調整方法について、3)30 度ヘッドアップ位での嚥下評
価を選択した根拠について、4)頸部回旋の方向や角度の一定化方法について、5)歯芽の有無が
結果に及ぼす影響について、6)実際に嚥下障害患者に本法による評価を行った際に予想される
結果について、7)今後の本研究の発展性について等、多くの質問がなされ、それぞれに日本語
で的確に応答した。 
審査委員は、申請者が本論文関連領域に対して学位授与に値する十分な見識と能力を有するこ
とを全員一致で確認し、本論文が学位授与に値すると判定した。
