Historical and Religious Monuments in Kami-shiojiri 
(Translation of theparts of Shiojiri (Ueda, 2003). Translated by Motoyasu 
Takahashi))*
1 Introduction
From the end of Akiwa settlement, one enters Ohmura of 
Kami-shiojlr1 by way of Sugihara. One sees the caves in which the villagers 
kept the silk-worm eggs, terraced fields in Higashi-yama mountain, the foot 
of Miroku-doh cemetery monument before arriving the entry gate towards 
climbing up road of Zama shrine.
Along the Hokkoku main street, magnificent stone walls are built, 
up highly or lowly. Above them, one finds the houses with the larger 
silk-worm room mode, earthen walls, high yoroi-bei (armed wall), 
nagaya-mon (the gate whose owner was allowed the privileged status for 
having the surname and sword in spite of the peasant status which was not 
allowed usually). By the Tera-koji (temple lane) At the gate there is the 
rest-house for the Lord of Kaga-Maeda. The toilet for the Lord is still 
preserved.
Climbing down the slope, one reaches

Down the slope, one reaches at the Hiro-kojii(broader lane) which is the 
starting point of Shioda Highway and passes by the silk tsumugi factory to 
arrive at the Tatsu-no-kuchi (the mouth of Dragon).
18 Shiojiri primary school (part)
The official education in Kami-shiojiri started as the tera-koya of 
Kami-shiojiri in 1718. Afterwards, Shiojiri School was set up at Tofuku-ji 
temple in 1873, Akiwa School at Chosho-ji temple in 1875 respectively. In 
1885 both were integrated into one, and in 1909 in the new larger site as the

centre amongKami-shiojiri, Shimo-shiojir1 andAkiwa. The name of the new 
school was Shiojiri Primary School.
20 Mile-stone mount and guidepost
Edo Bakufu government set up Ichiri-duka (milestone) at every 
mile on the Go-kaidoh (5 Main Highways) and other important highways as 
well as the by-passes including the Hokkoku street. The milestones were set 
up with trees such as cedars, pine trees, back berries and so on, for the 
purpose of safety journey. Old maps indicate that there used to be a 
milestone on the boarder of Kami-shiojiri at Miyahara, and a guide-post 
still remains and suggests the location of the ancient milestone. The 
guide-post reads 'For the travelers of this street', 'to the right Hokkoku 
Kaidoh, to the left a farm road'. Moreover, the back side of the guide 
indicates the inscription of Kami-shijojiri,1861*.
22 Terraced fields of Shiojiri
Development of silk industry led the production of mulberry 
leaves as the food for the silk-worm to become more important. As the 
cultivated acreage of this area was limited due to the location between the 
mountains and the river, the villagers reclaimed the riverbed of the river 
Chikuma to cultivate mulberries. However, only the riverbed became not 
enough, and the villagers made efforts to make up the terraced fields using 
the sloping ground.
In the period, 'Cultivating into the heaven' was commonly 
expressed, mulberries were planted up to around the 8th station on the path 
to the mountain. When they brought back the mulberries to the home, they 
walked down on the steep slope putting the mulberries in the baskets to 
carry or with the load on their back. On the peak of the production, the 
villagers bred silk worms as many as 3 or 4 times a year, and even only 
caring for the mulberries or transportation required a lot of labour.
The size of fields varies. However, as the common phrase 'one ridge 
one stair' expressed, the fields were long and narrow lots on the slopes of 
the mountain. They put the stones which were dug out while they reclaimed.

Through the World War II and the postwar periods when foods were short in 
general, On top of the mulberries, cereals including peas, beans, barley and 
wheats as well as vegetables including sweet potatoes. Afterwards, the 
villagers have however used the terraced fields as orchards of apples, pears, 
plums and persimmons. Nevertheless, following the change of the industrial 
structure, the terraced fields have not been cultivated except a part.
23 Caves for the storing of the silk*worm eggs
Barely east side of the cross under pier of the Shin-kansen bullet 
train railway, along the Hokkoku Kaidoh street there are caves for the 
storing the silk-worm eggs. Inside the caves the coolness has the effect to 
hold back the eggs hatched into the silk-worms for a while. There has been 
some lengthwise holes towards the filed above the cave for the ventilation.
24 Stone monuments at the Zama Zaka (slope)
1)Haiku sonnet
2) Sumo wrestler
3) The monument of Nobose-it。 (Shinano narrow string)
in 1808 Zen-eumon Sato, Masanobu invited the married couple of Yohshichi 
Takayama from Maebashi to instruct and lead the skills of Zaguri (reeling 
of the silk on the seat) for the development of the silk-worm breeding and 
textile skills and techniques. The villagers improved the 'tool for the reeling 
of silk' which the Takayamas brought with, and the progress the quality of 
silk resulted in the export for the Nishi-jin Ori in Kyoto as Nobose-ito 
(Shinano narrow string). The monument was founded in 1887 to praise the 
virtues of ten silk-worm egg breeders.
25 Miroku-doh ruins
This monument is called to be the ancient settlement of Heian 
period(794-1180). Pillar of the house, foundation, the remains of cooking 
stove, human bones and horse stones have been dug out.

26 Zama shrine (Kokage-san)
Climbing up a winding mountain path from Hokkoku Kaidoh for 
about 20 minutes, one reaches the Zama shrine. The god of the shrine is 
Ukemochino-kami, a god of cultivation, food and silkworm breeding. This 
used to be in top of Usagi-mine peak, a steep mountain. A signature of 
'Ukemochi-no-kami'can read on the stand of the small shrine and the date 
'March, Yohroh 2nd(718)' is also engraved. Because of the steep mountain 
path, it had been transferred to the current place as a satomiya (shrine at 
the village) since 1662.In 1812 the Yoshidas of Kyoto, an authority of the 
Japanese shrine system, gave a license of shrine rank, 'the highest for the 
national god of silkworm breeding', and the main shrine building was built 
up. (omit)
Annual festival is set on the eighty-eighth day from the beginning of spring 
(on or about 2 May by the solar calendar). In the peak period of silkworm 
breeding, they used to parade a float and was flourishing to have visitors to 
pray for the good production of the silkworm breeding from wide range of 
areas in the north-eastern part of Nagano.

In the past, the festival used to be a quite unusual one. That is the Shinto 
priests and Buddhist monks jointly did kagura (song and dancing at shrines 
celebrating Shinto gods) and goma (burning small pieces of wood on the 
altar to invoke divine help). So, old document reads that 'more than thirty 
priests and monks gathered' for the event of celebration of the 
establishment of the shrine main building in 1813 .
27 Silkworm egg breeding private house
As this area used to be prosperous for the silk-worm eggs breeding, 
there are many large houses whose pretentious gates, earthen walls, 
kinuki-yane, mulberry storages and whitewashed walls well retain the 
characteristics of the contemporary silkworm eggs breeding. One of them is 
the house of Mr. Takuji Shimizu. Its silkworm storage with double stairs is 
located just by the gate. The east side was built up in the Edo period and 
used for the living and work, and the west side was built up after the Meiji

period. In the 1897 the current main building was built up. The second stair 
had been used as the silk-worm storage until the 1950s and even now it is 
remained as it was used to be. The storehouse has a basement. The 
basement keeps cool and was used to keep silkworm eggs put on the paper 
and to control and delay the hatching period
29 Tohfukuji,the mount Koku.
it is called that Gyoki, the famous master monk, founded this 
temple in 742. The religious sect is Shingon and the main Buddha is 
Dainichi Nyorai (Mah avairocana). Since the Kami-shiojri villagers invited 
Yu-han, a Shingon master monk to learn the doctrine of Shingon esoteric 
Buddhism and rebuilt the temple as an academy or school, this temple 
academy had produced many contributors for the silkworm egg productions. 
It became Shiojiri School in 1873. and functioned as for the education of 
children of both Kami and Shimo Shiojiri.
In the evening on the 10th of August every year they have Kannon 
festival (Apple festival. There is a Kokuzo doh halt near the main temple 
building, and this is connected with the Master Gyoki to have a festival 
after him every April.
30 Kami-shiojiri shrine (Myoiin san)
Ooshima Kohri-osada-Toneri, Kuni-myatsuko (Sheriff) of 
Chiisagata Hundred founded this shrine in Nara period (710-794). The god 
of the shrine is Suwa dai-myojin (the Great God). After being washed away 
by a flood in 1595, it was rebuilt in the current place.
31 Nanatsu Ike (Seven ponds)
Kami-shiojiri had seven ponds using springs. The villagers used 
for the daily life and also used to wash the tools for the silkworm industries. 
Now three ponds are extant. The pond by the house of Mr Takuji Shimizu is 
open for the neighbors. Since four out of ten households have had twins, it 
became as the pond producing twins. On the miniature shrine for water god 
of this pond, the date of February, 1598 is engraved.

32 Ueda Tsumugi and Koiwai Tsumugi craft workshop
This Koiwais used to produce silkworm eggs, but after the World 
War II they started the handwoven Ueda Tsumugi. Ueda tsumugi has been 
known as the well known product of Ueda since the 1680s.
33 Seven Lanes of Hokkoku kaidoh Street
1)Baba Koji (Baba lane)
As there are many Babas houses alongside, this lane is named like this, 
they say.
2) Tera Koji (temple lane)
It is named like this as there is Tofuk-ji temple at the end of this lane
3) Hiro Koi (broad lane)
This lane is broader than any others. This is called that starting point of 
Hokkoku kaidoh street towards Shioda Kaidoh street.
4) Kura Koji (stock house lane)
There used to be a Goh-gura (village stock house of rice for the tax) until 
1910.
5) Bishamon Koii (Bishamon protector for the Buddha lane)
It is called that here used to be the Bishamon-doh (little temple for the 
protector of Buddha) at the end of the lane.
6) Iwai Koji (Iwai lane)
It is called that here used to be one of the Koiwais at the corner of the lane.
7)Yama Koji (mountain lane)
It is called that the villagers used to use this lane when they got access to 
the mulberry fields in the mount Nishi or went to do works in the 
mountains,
34 Motojuku, Kami-shiojiri
Motojuku settlement is located at the southern side of the 18th 
national street. This settlement used to be the nakasu (sandbank) of the 
river Chikuma. It has been flooded by the Chikuma in the history. In

particular, almost all parts of the settlement were flooded away and they 
moved to Ohmura in 1595. After around 1711 some villagers gradually 
moved back.
35 Shohjin*ba (the site for unwavering pursuit of one's faith)
Apart of Masuami Yohsui(irrigation channeD has been called like 
this from the past.It is called that there used to be the shrines and temples 
around this place for unwavering pursuit of one's faith.
36 The remains of Suwa Dai-myobjiin (the Great God) or Kami-no-miya 
(upper shrine) and Utsuno-no-sha (shrine for the Tenjin, the deified spirit of 
Sugawara Michizane) or Shimo-no-miya (lower shrine)
There used to be Kami-nomiya and Shimo-no-miya at Motojuku. 
Kami-no-miya was located at the northern side of Shin-puku-ji temple, but 
washed away by the flood in 1595. In 1709 they rebuilt it up as 
Kami-shiojiri shrine at the current site. Shimo-no-miya's location has been 
the same as the past, and it preserves the tree stump of old tree (assumed to 
be 500 years old) as the sacred tree. The Tenjin God is prayed in the site and 
they celebrate the traditional festival of 'Tenjin-san' by the 
Toneshima-children group even now.
37 Remains of station of the guard
There used to be a station of the guard at the crossroad towards 
Shioda kaidoh street in Motojuku, and this place is called as Ban-ya (station 
of the guard) . There is a Dohso-shin (a travelers' guardian deity) in the 
corner, and this area keeps well the contemporary trace.
38 The Remains of Shinpuku-ji temple
Although Shinpuku-ji temple itself was flooded away in 1595, only 
the name has been kept as the place name of village section. Ten stone 
monuments were found from this remains in 1709. These wooden 
monuments can read various signatures from 1304 to 1452. These were 
stylized stupas made from a narrow plank of stone for the for repose of a

person's soul and memorial service for the deads. The size is around 90 cm 
lengthwise.
39 Saguji (Ubusuna God, God for the earth and production)
There is an old himoro tree in the corner of a farmland adjacent to 
Motojuku settlement. By the tree a small shrine of Saguji is located for the 
pray for Ubusuna God, This god for the earth and production has been 
prayed since the Jomon period for around 2000 years.

Characterization of Electrical and Mechanical Properties of CFRP/ABS*

Abstract: This paper presents electrical and mechanical properties of compound consisting of 
thermoplastic resin mixed with carbon fiber reinforced plastic (CFRP) pieces. CFRP pieces made by 
crushing CFRP wastes are utilized in this material. Nine kinds of compounds with different weight 
fraction and size of CFRP pieces are prepared. Firstly, electrical impedance of the compounds was 
measured as a function of frequency. Electromagnetic shield effect of the compounds was also 
investigated and compared with that of a CFRP laminate. Secondly, mechanical properties such as tensile 
and flexural strength were measured. Finally, the polished surface and fracture surfaces of the specimens 
were microscopically observed to investigate the effect of orientation and distribution of CF and CFRP 
pieces on mechanical and electrical properties. The compound has a variety of conductivity depending 
on content of CFRP pieces. Mechanical properties also increase with increasing CFRP content.

1. INTRODUCTION
   Since carbon fiber reinforced plastics (CFRPs) have excellent mechanical properties such as high specific 
strength and modulus, they have been used as light-weight structural materials for aerospace vehicle, 
automobiles and so on. CFRPs have also been utilized as electromagnetic shield material by taking advantage of 
their electrocoductivity. However, materials reinforced with virgin CF are not likely to be used to a lot of 
products because of high cost.  
In general, CFRP is difficult to be recycled due to its hardness and chemical stability. In material recycling, 
wasted CFRPs are directly utilized through mixture with base material. A project to establish the recycling 
system of glass fiber reinforced plastics (GFRPs) was conducted by Government Industrial Research Institutes 
(GIRIS, former AIST) in Japan about ten years ago[1]. As material recycling in this project, a device to cut large 
scale GFRP wastes such as boats was developed and also some composites including crushed GFRP were 
fabricated. More recently, an attempt has been made to develop new concrete reinforced with crushed CFRP 
pieces[2] in a project for establishing crushing and classification technique of CFRP wastes in Japan. 
However, most of CFRP wastes are presumed to be buried in the ground or left as they are whilst it is 
estimated that five thousand tons of CFRP are wasted in a year in the world. As far as the authors know, products 
using recycled CFRP have not been reported although some research may be conducted in laboratories. 
Consequently, a recycling system for CFRP wastes has not been established in the world so far.

When CFRP is used for electromagnetic shield, the material is usually fabricated through an injection 
molding process using thermoplastic resin mixed with short carbon fibers. In this paper, recycled CFRP crushed 
into small pieces instead of virgin short carbon fiber is utilized as conductive filler. Nine kinds of compounds 
with different weight fraction and size of CFRP pieces are prepared for the measurement of mechanical and 
electrical properties. Firstly, electrical impedance of the compounds was measured as a function of frequency. 
Electromagnetic shield effect was also investigated and compared with that of a CFRP laminate for practical 
application. Secondly, mechanical properties such as tensile and flexural strength were measured. Finally, the 
polished surface and fracture surface of the specimens were microscopically observed to investigate the effect of 
orientation and distribution of CFRP pieces and the interface between fiber and resin on the mechanical and 
electrical properties.
2. EXPERIMENTAL PROCEDURE 
2.1 Material 
The material used consists of acrylonitrile butadiene styrene (ABS) resin and recycled and crushed CFRP 
(CF/epoxy) pieces with average length by width of 3.4mm x 0.4mm. Some CFRP pieces experience further 
crushing by a ball mill to investigate effect of CFRP size on mechanical and electrical properties. 
Fig. 1 shows the geometry of the specimens. Dumbbell-type specimens (JIS K7139, gage length 100 mm, 
width 10 mm, thickness 4mm) and square plates (150mm x 150mm, thickness 3mm) were fabricated using 
injection molding technique. Table 1 summarizes the mixture ratio of the specimens. The weight fraction of 
CFRP pieces varies from 0 to 0.7. The milled CFRP pieces were used in No. 9 specimens. Fiber volume fraction 
fV  of the compound was calculated through fV (=0.6) of CFRP and density of CFRP and ABS resin. 
2.2 Electrical tests 
Firstly, electrical impedance of the specimens at a frequency ranging from 1 kHz to 1 MHz was measured 
with an LCR meter (Agilent 4284A). Four-terminal method was adopted for precise measurement. Resistivity 
was calculated from impedance at a low frequency (1 kHz). 
Secondly, the shield effect against electrical wave with a frequency varying between 60 MHz and 1.2 GHz 
was investigated according to ADVANTEST method with the aid of a network analyzer (HP 8720C).  
2.3 Mechanical tests 
At first, tensile tests were performed using an electrohydraulic testing machine for the dumbbell-type No. 1

to 9 specimens. A strain gage was adhesively bonded on the specimen surface to measure elongation and 
calculate Young’s modulus. Next, flexural tests were conducted using the same testing machine for coupon 
specimens (80mm x 10mm x 4mm) cut from the dumbbell-type specimens. Flexural strength and modulus were 
calculated from the load-displacement curve. All the mechanical tests were carried out at room temperature. 
2.4 Microscopic observation 
 Polished surface and cross-section were optically observed to investigate the state of dispersion and 
orientation of CFRP and CF in the resin. In addition, the fracture surface was observed using scanning electron 
microscopy (SEM) to characterize the fracture behavior focusing on the interface between fiber and resin. 
3. RESULTS AND DISCUSSION 
3.1 Electrical properties 
Fig.2 shows impedance and phase angle of the specimens as functions of frequency. Impedance is almost 
constant for No. 4 (30 wt%) to 8 (70 wt%) specimens. The phase angle is kept to be nearly zero for No. 4 to 8

specimens which are regarded as pure resistant materials. On the other hand, it is around 90-degree for No. 2 (10 
wt%) and 9 (small 30 wt%) specimens, which indicates that these two specimens are dielectric or insulating 
materials. 
Fig. 3 shows resistivity as a function of CFRP content ranging from 20 to 70 wt%. Resistivity decreases with 
increasing CFRP content or fiber volume fraction. Generally, resistivity V  of material including conductive 
filler is predicted by the following scaling law[3]:

where DL /  denotes the aspect ratio of the filler and  and  are material constants. The value of 
2/ LD  means the critical volume fraction of filler CV , that is, the specimen with fV  lower than CV  is 
insulating. In this material, this value is estimated to be 0.11. The fitted curve on the basis of eq. (1) is 
represented by a solid curve in Fig. 3.

   Fig.4 shows shield effect against frequency up to 1.2 GHz for No.1 (ABS resin) and No. 4 (30 wt%) to 8  
(70 wt%) specimens together with a CFRP laminate ( 6.0fV ) and aluminum. Shield effect increases with 
increasing CFRP content although it attenuates at high frequency. Since the CFRP laminate containing long CF 
has shield effect between 40 and 50 dB, the shield effect of the present material with lower fV  and shorter 
fibers is expected to be at most 40 dB. 
3.2 Mechanical properties 
Fig.5 shows tensile and flexural strength against CFRP content. Both strength increases with increasing 
CFRP content below 40 %. After the strength saturates at around 50 %, it decreases slightly at higher content. 
   Fig. 6 shows tensile and flexural modulus against CFRP content. Both moduli increase linearly with CFRP 
content which means that the moduli obey the following modified rule of mixture[4]:

where fE  and mE  represent Young’s modulus of fiber and matrix resin, respectively, and k  is a 
reinforcement efficiency depending on fiber length and orientation and can be estimated to be 0.33 in this case. 
As stress-strain behavior of all the specimens is almost linear, strength is approximately proportional to a product 
of elastic modulus and elongation. The modulus increases and elongation decreases approximately linearly with 
CFRP content.  As a result, strength becomes the maximum at around 50 %. 
   The strength and modulus of No. 9 specimen having smaller CFRP pieces are much lower than those of No. 
4 specimen with the same CFRP content. This is probably because the efficiency of reinforcement is lower in No. 
9 specimen reinforced with shorter fibers. 
3.3 Microstructures 
   Fig. 7 shows optical micrographs showing the polished surface of No. 6 specimen. Most CF are separated 
individually and dispersed homogeneously in ABS resin whilst some fiber bundles arising from the original 
CFRP pieces are observed. Fibers, as well as fiber bundles, are oriented along the direction of injection flow 
denoted by arrows. Average length of fiber is about 200 m, which is comparable to that of usual short fiber 
reinforced composites although it is much shorter than the original length of the CFRP pieces.   
Fig. 8 shows a SEM photo showing the fracture surface after the tensile test of specimen No. 6 (50 wt%). 
Some fibers are pulled out from the resin and randomly oriented rather than in the direction perpendicular to the 
fracture surface. The resin observed on the surface of a carbon fiber, indicated by a white arrow, is identified as 
ABS resin through detail analysis. This implies that epoxy resin surrounding carbon fiber is removed from the 
fiber during crushing and fabrication processes. Therefore, it is probable that conductive paths are formed when 
fibers are in contact with each other and that conductivity is improved by adding appropriate conductive filler 
together with CFRP pieces. 
4. CONCLUDING REMARK 
Electrical and mechanical properties of compound consisting of ABS resin mixed with CFRP pieces are 
experimentally characterized. Resistivity decreases and shield effect increases with CFRP content. Mechanical 
properties such as strength and modulus are improved almost linearly with an increase in CFRP content although 
strength saturates at CFRP content of 50 %. Carbon fibers are not coated by epoxy resin and dispersed

individually in ABS resin whilst some fiber bundles coming from the original CFRP pieces are included. For 
practical application to electromagnetic shield, other kinds of conductive filler should be mixed with CFRP 
pieces to obtain better conductivity.

In this study, the development of adiabatical material using the industrial waste such as paper 
sludge incineration ash, crushed stone sludge, iron slag and gypsum was tried. That is the 
thermal insulation performance was examined. And, the case in which the vacuum was used 
jointly was also examined. Then, the development of insulator was tried. The soundproofing 
performance was also examined and discussed.

Abstract:分子触媒の反応性を司る構成要素として，また，機能性材料の原料として，合成科学上重要
な官能性有機リン化合物を，簡便かつ温和な方法で自在に合成するための手法を検討し，リン－ケイ
素結合の反応性を利用することにより，各種官能基共存型有機リン化合物を効率よく合成できる種々
の反応を開発した。

１．緒言
　有機リン化合物は，合成化学，生化学，あるいは材料科学などの広範な分野において，様々な形で
重要な役割を果たしている1。たとえば，生体分子である核酸やリン脂質等はリン－酸素結合を持った
５価リン酸エステルであるし，有機合成に用いられる遷移金属触媒も，多くの場合３価のリン原子と
リン－炭素結合を含む有機リン化合物を配位子として含んでいる。我々は，効率的な有機合成反応の
開発を目指す立場から，触媒に用いることのできる後者の有機リン化合物を研究対象として扱ってき
た。すなわち，新触媒開発の手段として，触媒の反応性を左右するリン配位子の効率的合成を達成す
るべく，新しい有機リン化合物，特に３価のリン原子とリン－炭素結合を含む有機ホスフィン類の自
在合成法の開発を行っているわけである。
　遷移金属触媒は，現在の有機合成化学において，カルボニル化や水素化，オレフィンの付加等のC-
C結合やC-H結合の生成等を行う目的で，工業的にも実験室においても広く用いられているが，これ
らの反応は，用いる金属種のみならず，配位子の影響を大きく受け，その置換基や骨格がわずかに異
なるだけで触媒活性が大きく変化したり，反応経路が全く変わってしまうこともある2。また，その構
造を利用した高度な反応制御，立体選択性制御などが近年大きな成果をあげているのも周知のとおり
である。このように配位子の構造は，触媒の反応性に大きく影響するため，様々な置換基や骨格ある
いは官能基を持った有機リン配位子を自在に合成できれば，新たな触媒の開発につながるものと期待
できる。また，有機リン化合物は最近，機能性材料の構成要素としても注目を集めており，有機リン
化合物を自在に合成できる手法は，分子設計された有機リン材料を合成するための強力な武器とし
て，その開発が望まれている。
　現在の有機リン化合物の合成，特にリン－炭素結合の形成には，極めて古典的な方法，すなわち，
強塩基性のアルカリ金属ホスフィド求核剤と炭素求核剤の反応や，Grignard試薬のような炭素求核剤

とハロゲン化リンの反応が一般的に用いられており，多様な構造を達成するには極めて制限が多いの
が現状である1。特に，各種官能基の共存と段階的結合生成反応の制御が困難であり，様々な官能基を
持つ有機リン化合物を自在に合成できる簡便な手段は，ほとんどないのである。

　そこで，これらの有機リン化合物合成上の問題を克服するべく，１）温和な条件下で様々な基質と
反応するリン原子上の反応性置換基の開発，２）反応性置換基を利用し様々なリンー炭素結合生成が
可能な素反応の開発，３）複数の反応性置換基の段階的反応による有機リン化合物自在合成法の確
立，を目指した。

　具体的な反応性置換基としては，電気陽性で，電子的・立体的な反応性制御が可能であり，各種方
法による活性化や結合切断が可能な，ケイ素置換基を利用する，すなわち，シリルホスフィン類の反
応を行うこととした。
２．実験・結果と考察
２－１．シリルホスフィン類の合成
　素反応開発のモデル系として，ケイ素置換基を１つだけ有し，合成上も取扱上も有利なジフェニル
ホスフィノ型の前駆体を用いることとし、ケイ素上の置換基の異なる４種のシリルホスフィンを合成
した。合成は、トリフェニルホスフィンと金属リチウムから調製したリチウムジフェニルホスフィド
を対応する塩化シリルと反応、または、塩化ジフェニルホスフィンと塩化シリルを金属マグネシウム
や金属ナトリウムを用いて還元的にカップリングさせることにより、簡便に行うことができた。得ら
れたシリルホスフィン類は酸素、水に対して敏感であり、蒸留による精製後は不活性ガス雰囲気下で
の取り扱いが必要であるが，ｔ－ブチルジメチルシリルジフェニルホスフィン（１）が比較的安定で
あったため、これをモデル化合物として以後の反応開発を行った3。

２－２．シリルホスフィンのフッ化物イオンによる活性化を利用する反応4-5
　フッ化物イオンとケイ素官能基の親和性を利用し，温和な条件下におけるリン－ケイ素結合の開裂
を伴うリン求核種の発生と反応について検討した。
　まず、シリルホスフィン1のアルキル化をモデル反応として検討した。その結果，フッ化物イオン
なしでは全く反応しないシリルホスフィンが，フッ化物イオンを用いることにより活性化され，アル
キル置換ホスフィンを与えることがわかった。またこの反応では極性中間体が生成することから顕著

な溶媒効果が現れ，極性溶媒であるＤＭＦ中では極めて円滑に収率良く対応するアルキル化体を与え
ることがわかった。

　この結果を元に，同様の反応系を用いたアルケンのホスフィン化反応について検討した結果，フッ
化テトラブチルアンモニウムを用いた活性化により，ＤＭＦ中室温１５分という温和な条件下で各種
アルケン，およびアルキンのホスフィン化反応が収率良く進行することがわかった。反応は高い位置
選択性で進行し，官能性有機リン化合物を収率良く与えた。

　このホスフィン付加反応の反応中間体を別の求電子剤を用いて捕捉できれば，ホスフィン化反応と
同時に炭素ー炭素結合を生成し，一段階でホスフィン化合物の炭素骨格を拡張できる有用な反応にな
ると考えられる。そこで，求電子剤としてベンズアルデヒドを用い，シリルホスフィン，アクリル酸
エチルとの３成分カップリング反応について検討した結果，無水のフッ化物イオン源を用いることに
より，共役付加に続くアルデヒドとの結合生成による３成分カップリングに成功した。この反応によ
り，リン－炭素結合および炭素－炭素結合生成を伴う各種官能性有機リン化合物が効率よく合成でき
ることがわかった。また，フッ化物イオン源としてフッ化セシウムを用いた場合には，触媒的に反応

が進行し，対応する３成分カップリング生成物を与えることもわかった。

　各種アルケン，アルデヒドを用いて，フッ化セシウム触媒３成分カップリング反応を行った結果，
下表に示すように，いずれの組み合わせの場合にも，対応する高官能基化ホスフィン化合物が収率良
く得られることがわかった。この触媒反応においては上記表の化合物４と５の混合物が得られるが，
シリルエーテルを加水分解することにより，すべて４として単離できる。

２－３．ロジウム触媒を用いるアルキンのホスフィン化反応6
　シリルホスフィンの炭素－炭素３重結合への付加反応が，カチオン性ロジウム触媒によって進行
し，高い位置および立体選択性でヒドロホスフィン化生成物が得られることがわかった。この反応で
は，従来合成しにくかったアルケニルホスフィン類を，収率良く，位置および立体選択的に得ること
ができることから，官能性有機リン化合物合成の新しい反応として有用である。

２－４．ルイス酸による求電子剤活性化とシリルホスフィンの求核反応7
　モデルとして用いているシリルホスフィンは，求核性リン原子がケイ素置換基で立体的に保護され
ているため，比較的反応性が穏やかであり，取扱いや保存の観点からは有利である上，適切な活性化
剤を選ぶことで選択的な反応を行うことができる。前項のフッ化物イオンによる活性化はシリルホス
フィン自体の活性化であったが，反応対象の求電子剤側を活性化することによっても選択的な反応を
達成することができた。すなわち，適切なルイス酸を用いることにより，リン－炭素結合生成を伴う
エポキシドの求核的開環反応やアルデヒドへの求核付加反応が可能であることがわかった。これらの
反応の詳細については別途発表の予定である。
２－５．段階的付加反応8
　上記シリルホスフィンの素反応を利用し，当初の目的である２つの置換基を段階的に導入する有機
リン合成法に繋げるための２官能性リン前駆体として，２つのケイ素官能基を有するホスフィン化合
物を開発した。このビスシリルホスフィン類の選択的な反応を開発することで，２つの置換基を順次
導入できると考え検討している。現在，いくつかの基質について選択的な置換反応に成功している。
　また，シリルホスフィンに対してアルキンが段階的に付加し，可視領域に吸収を示す新規構造を有
する環状共役化合物が得られることを見出しており，材料としての応用を含め検討中である。これら
の詳細についても別途発表の予定である。
３．まとめ
　以上のように，触媒の構成要素や，新しい材料としても重要な有機リン化合物を，段階的に自在に
合成できる手法の開発を目指した研究を展開しており，シリルホスフィン類をその鍵前駆体として利
用することにより，下図に示す様々なリンー炭素結合生成反応を開発することができた。

　今後はこれらの素反応を活かした段階的反応の確立により，新しい触媒を指向した配位子の設計・
合成と，新材料開発に向けた展開を図っていく予定である。

１　音律の選定－―ヤング６分の１音律
これまでの一連のプロセスを経て、筆者はピアノに導
入する音律にヤング６分の１音律を選んだ。ヴァロッテ
ィ＝ヤング音律とも呼ばれる中のヤングが提唱した方
で、音律サークル上のC－Fis対角線を境に、左側６つを
純正５度、右側６つを平均律より２セント狭い調整５度
に割り振る。ウェルテンペラメントとはいえヤングの調
整５度はシントニック・コンマとスキスマ（約24セント）
を６つの５度に分割し、残りの５度を純正にするもので、
古典音律と12等分平均律の間に位置すると言える。ヴァ
ロッティや平島氏のヴァージョンは、この５度分岐線が
時計進行方向から30度戻ったものである。選定の理由は
以下のとおりである。
１．698セント以下の狭い５度を含まない。
平均律700セントの５度に慣れた現代の耳には、３
度がいくら純正であっても狭すぎる５度は不快であ
る。これについてはアンケート結果と筆者自身の感覚
が一致した。平均律５度は純正５度より２セント狭い
が、調整された５度の中では広い。ヤングの５度はそ
れより２セント狭い。
ピアノは一般に倍音が豊かで、特に中低音域では第
３倍音（５度）は強く響き、独立的に聴こえる。低音域
では倍音が基音より強い場合もある。倍音に含まれる
５度は当然狭くない純正の５度であるので、実音の５
度が狭い場合、唸りが生じて美的でない。
更に倍音の５度（第３倍音）はピアノ弦のインハーモ
ニシティによりピッチが理論値より若干高まる。従っ
て、低い５度とは実際のずれはさらに広がり、唸りは
それだけ問題となる。２音に共通する低次倍音間の唸
りで調整してゆく調律では、５度を狭くしすぎること
は技術的には可能であっても、ピアノの響き方に調和
的でない。
２．５度が均質であること。
ヤングでは純正５度と狭い５度が６個ずつある。し
かもこれらは５度圏に連続しているので、調律時の流
れが自然であり、転調時の和音の変化にも連続性があ
る。
ピアノの強い倍音は古典音律のクリアさを打ち消す
ようにも働くため、ある程度均質な５度を並べるほう
が良好な結果を得られると判断される。
３．平島氏のヴァージョンもよいが、F－Cに唸りの無
い完全5度をいれる方が、F,C,G durそれぞれの調性感、
和音の色彩感がより明らかになるように感じられる。
C durのサブドミナントとしてのFACの３和音の美し
さはたとえようも無い。
４．２種類の５度に限られているので、平均律に慣れ、
古典音律に無縁のピアノ調律師が調律しやすい。平島
氏も指摘するように、平均律の５度をもとに、６つの
５度を２セント狭め、６つの５度を広げて純正完全5
度とすることで、平均律の基盤からこの調律にスライ
ド可能となる。
２　ピアノ調律と音律

決める物差しが音律であるが、実際に楽器を調律するに
あたって、音律がそのまま調律後の楽器の全音域にわた
るピッチとほぼ一致する場合と、音律を楽器固有の特性
と調和させるプロセスが求められる場合がある。チェン
バロは前者で、オクターブは振動数を２倍または２分の
１とし、特殊な調整はされない。一方同じ鍵盤楽器でも
ピアノでは、調律にあたりオクターブ伸張の調整が一般
的に見られる。
ピアノ調律のオクターブ伸張とは、中央の２オクター
ブ程度の音域では音律どおりであり、オクターブも１対
２の整数倍であるのに対して、低音域や高音域に進むほ
どにオクターブが広がり、オクターブ振動数比が１：２
以上に伸張しているものである。オクターブ伸張の程度
はピアノそれぞれで若干変わるものの、ピアノ調律には
必須で、調律師がマスターすべき課題となっている。従
って、仮にチェンバロとピアノを、同じ１点A＝440Hz
の基準ピッチで「正しく、音楽的に」調律した場合でも、
両者の最高音域や最低音域の同名音にはピッチのずれが
ある。いずれの場合もピアノの高音域の音は理論値より
高く、低音域の音は理論値より低く、最高・最低音にむ
かうほどその理論値からのずれが大になる。このオクタ
ーブ伸張は調律曲線と呼ばれている。

調律曲線は一般に中央C音付近では２オクターブ程度
音律どおりの数値であり、それ以後両側に向かって次第
に伸張の程度を増してゆく。大きく把握するとそれは調
律曲線とよばれるなだらかな曲線となるが、１音単位で
そのピッチを比較すると凹凸が認められ、また、それも
楽器個別に異なるばらつきがあり、一律に増減して行く
ものではない。逆に計算値により機械的に一律のオクタ
ーブ伸張を作り出した音律は、音律として評価が低い
（「不自然である」）という報告がある。溝部国光は、A３
で±０セント、A２で－１セント、A１で－６セント、
最低音のA０では－19セントとしている（注２）。これに
対し古典音律推進者であり、松蔭音楽大学チャペルのオ
ルガン音律検討者平島氏は、低音オクターブをゼロ・ビ
ートにしても何らかの唸りはあるものの、溝部氏の値は
（従って当然Railsbackも）大きすぎるように思われると
している（注３）。このように調律師や聞き手の個性によ
っても異なる心理学的な領域と関連する問題でもある。
３　ピアノ調律法
調律曲線はピアノ弦の響き方の特性と関連し、そこか
ら生じるもので、倍音を聴いてあわせてゆく調律プロセ
スと深く結びついている。一般的な調律法は以下のとお
りである。ここでは調律師藤田尚志氏の談をまとめたが、
一般的な調律法（注４）と特に変わる点はない。
①　基準音源にピアノA音をあわせる。
音叉（440Hz、これ以外に441や442も使用されるこ
とがあるがここでは440とする）を鳴らし、音叉の音
にピアノのAをあわせる。ピアノのどの音にあわせ
るかには２種あり、A３（＝220Hz）の２倍音と音叉
をあわせるものと、A４（＝440Hz）をそのまま音叉
と合わせるものである。藤田氏はA３の２倍音を聴
いてA３を調律する手法を採り、多くの調律師がこ
の方法によっている。A４を合わせた場合は、A４
をもとにA３を取る。A３の倍音とA４音間のうな
りを聴き、うなりが消えるようにする。
②　基礎オクターブを作る
４度、５度を反復してオクターブ内の12音をあわせ
る。ピアノは平均律であるので、その場合完全な５
度･４度と比べて、やや狭い５度（２セント）、広め
の４度（２セント）とする。必ず２音間の一番低いう
なりに注目し、１秒間に現れるうなりの数で音程を
調整してゆく。左側はピッチ調律済みの音、矢印は
基準音に対して調律されるべき音の上下関係。右は
調律してゆく音。音名は英語記載とする。A０がピ
アノ最低音。

A音を起点に４度と５度を反復して基準となるオ
クターブを作り、８度でそれを全音域に展開してゆ
く。割り振りの基準になるのはうなり（ビート）であ
る。うなりは振動数の差によって生じ、１秒間に15
回以上になると聞き分けが不可能になる。直接鳴ら
す５度や４度の２音の基音振動数差は、A３－E４
では220Hz対 330Hzとなり、その差（理論値）は
110Hzで、毎秒110回の振動数の差がある。しかし
これはうなりとして感知されない。平均律のこの２
音間でうなりとして聞かれるのは、共通する倍音間
のうなりであり、A３（第３倍音）－E４（第２倍音）
の間即ちE５（理論値660Hz）で毎秒0.7回、２秒に３
度のうなりである。純正律かつ調和弦の仮想ピアノ
の場合は理論値どおりで、うなりはない。（しかし
純正５度ばかりで調律すると、最後の音でピタゴラ
ス・コンマによる大変なうなりが生じ、使用不能と
なる）。平均律によるうなりは前章で見たように倍
音間にピッチのズレがあるために生じる。比較され
る２音の倍音間に、上例のように理論上同一ピッチ
の音があったとしても、振動数・セント値は厳密に
は一致しないため、そのうなりを聴き、最小･最適
に調整してゆくことが調律のポイントとなる。対象
は毎秒15回以内の、強く聞こえてくる低次の倍音間
のうなりである。
③　基準オクターブをもとにピアノの高音域、低音域を
オクターブであわせる。
基本的にはオクターブの倍音で合わせてゆく。この
際、ピアの弦のインハ－モニシティにより、オクタ
ーブ倍音は整数倍より広く、高次倍音に進むほど理
論値とのずれは大きくなる。従って低音域ピッチを
決定する場合、特にこのインハーモニシティへの配
慮が求められ、高次倍音とピアノ音ピッチの調和が
重要となる。
ピッチに関する手順だけを抽出すると上の①～③とな
る。実際の調律では、最低音域の倍音の現れ方や、低次
倍音だけではすまない美的な音感や統一感のための調
整、３本のユニゾン弦の合わせすぎない合わせ方など更
に複雑な要素が含まれる。
②で用いる２音間で、どのようにうなりが現れ、どの
ようにそれが処理されるのだろうか。平均律は既に何度
も記したように１対２のオクターブの振動数を基に、12
半音を等分割したもので、半音の振動数比は２をルート
12で開いた値1.059463094である。A４（１点a）＝440.00
のピアノ音の平均律振動数（理論値）は表１となる。これ
は既に他の音律との比較のなかで３和音の形態を前章に
記述したが、ピアノの音域（88鍵A－C８）にわたって音
階で網羅したものをここに載せておく。調律に際して聞
く倍音間のうなりを算定する基音の振動数となるので、
２音の一致する倍音の振動数の差から倍音間のうなりの
数をもとめることができる（理論値）。これは理論値であ
るが、２音間のうなり回数を計算する目安として重要で
ある。

４　ピアノ弦のインハ－モニシティ
ピアノ調律がフラットではなく、調律曲線を持つ理由
は、ピアノ固有の弦の響き方にある。倍音（上部音）は一
般に基音の整数倍だが、ピアノの場合は弦の剛性と張力
により厳密には整数倍から若干の狂いが生じる。例えば
管楽器では倍音が空気柱の振動によって生まれるのでそ
の抵抗は問題となるものではなく、ヴァイオリンやチェ
ンバロでもその妨害要素は無視できる程度に小さく、い
ずれの場合も理論どおりの振れが弦上に展開し、その結
果倍音も整数倍である。ところがピアノでは弦が強い力
で両側に引っ張られているので、ハンマーの打弦で振動
を始めた弦に、この張力が弦の振動を止めて逆方向に向
かわせ、倍音を生む振動の速度が速められる。
インハーモニシティの第２の原因は、ピアノ弦自体が
具える剛性である。この剛性も同じく弦上に現れる細か
な倍音振動に影響を及ぼす。弦長の２分の１、３分の１、
４分の１､５分の１等の分割点を節に振動している倍音
振動は、弦が自らの固さのために節に揺れない部分を生
じさせ、よってピッチが上がるのである。西口・森氏は
ピアの弦のインハーモニシティについてA３、A４、A
５部分音の振動数を表３、４、５のように報告している
（注５）。

うなりの数は１秒間に2.4回、4.9回、7.3回である。この
ようにインハ－モニシティにより同名・同高の音であっ
ても基音の異なる部分音間で、厳密にはピッチが一致せ
ずうなりが生じることになるのである。理想的調和弦を
持つ仮想ピアノP２では勿論部分音の音高は一致し、う
なりは生じない。
弦のインハーモニシティは式によって求められる（注６）。
実際のピアノに弦が張られた状態での倍音の現れかたは
また異なってくる。
土橋氏によるインハーモニシティ値のシミュレーション（注７）

である。A４＝441Hz、音響分析ソフトはSPEANAによ
る。当初440Hzで調律していたが、冬を越した際に１Hz
上ったため、戻すより弦が馴染んだ441Hzで維持するこ
とにした。測定には誤差がありしかもまだヤング音律の
調律についても改良を探っている段階であることを併せ
て記載しておく。ピアノはヤマハグランド・ピアノG３
で20年前のものである。筆者が計算したヤング音律の理
論値は表７から表10に記した。表11は実際の調律に使
用するうなりの数の計算である。
表11は調律のためのうなりの数計算値である。参考の
ために平均律のビート数を載せておいた。純正５度はゼ
ロビートである反面、調整5度のうなりはやや多い。調
律の音の割り振りに際しては検査音程でビートを確かめ
ながら進めるが、右の検査音程のうなりはヤングによる。

以下筆者研究室のピアノの測定値を報告しておく。表
13は基音と１，２，３，５倍音の振動数、表14はA０か
らA７までの計測できた倍音振動数である。インハーモ
ニシティはあるが、普通に用いられている調律曲線はあ
まりに伸張が大きすぎると判断される。しかし、アップ
ライトなど、弦長と太さの関係にもよるので、まだ決定
的なことは言えない。本稿資料は表14の音の周波数分析
グラフである。

ピアノのオクターブ伸張について、計算による均等
増加するものと調律師が行ったもの（数値的には均
等増ではない）では調律師が行ったもの方が自然に
聴こえるといわれている。また調律師の藤田尚志氏
によると、オクターブの音が「合っている」という感
覚は、第１倍音の調和だけではなく、その他高次倍
音の調和にも影響され、しかも弦によって高次倍音
の強度が異なるため音色的調和もふくめたものであ
る（談）。
