Effect of village funds and other variables on economic growth of Central Java Province 2015–2018
The Economic growth of Central Java Province from 2015 to 2018 experienced a slowdown compared to other
provinces in Java. One of the main focuses on improving the economy is fiscal decentralization which is manifested
in the form of village funds. This is in line with one of nine development priorities for the next five years agendas,
or so- called Nawacita, namely to develop Indonesia from the periphery by strengthening regions and villages
within the framework of a unitary state. The village funds data from the Ministry of Finance shows that Central
Java Province receives the largest village funds each year, but this does not necessarily increase economic growth
in the recipient districts. In addition to the economic growth policy, the government also plans through investment
and government spending. The purposes of this study are to determine the effectiveness of the village fund budget
and the effect of the realization of village funds, capital expenditure, goods and services expenditure, and the level
of open unemployment on economic growth. The method used in this study is the panel data regression analysis
method with the research locus of 29 districts receiving village funds in Central Java Province from 2015 to 2018.
The results of the study using the selected panel data regression model that is the Fixed Effect Model FGLS SUR
show that all independent variables influence significantly to economic growth (GRDP). The variable realization
of village funds and goods and services expenditure has a significant positive effect, while the variable realization
of capital expenditure and the variable open unemployment has a significant negative effect on economic growth
(GRDP)

Peran Investor Asing dalam Sektor Jasa Konstruksi di Indonesia
The existence of construction sector in the structure of the national economy can be  seen by their role in producing physical output that supports the smoothness of the economic activities. The development of the construction sector depends on the availability of the fund and project development provided by the government. Therefore, the involvement of private sector on the construction must be increased to support the limit of government budget. Nevertheless, the increase of foreign construction companies in Indonesia raises the concern of the emergence of their domination in national construction sector. This article aims to analyze the role of the construction sector in the national economy and to explain the domination of the foreign investors in Indonesia's construction sector. This article suggests that the involvement of foreign private enterprise must be followed by an increase on the competitiveness of domestic enterprise in the construction sector. Furthermore, the increase of financial capacity, company's capacity, technological command, and quality of human resources are some indicators that need to be improved. On the other hand, fiscal stimulus is an alternative solution for increasing the activity of the construction sector especially for their benefit for creating more job opportunities. With the existence of the increase in local competitiveness, foreign domination in construction sector can be minimized and precisely open the opportunity for the involvement of the local contractors in large scale construction projects in Indonesia
THE EFFECT OF EXCHANGE RATE FLUCTUATIONS ON BALI TOURISM SECTOR
Most of the income for Bali tourism comes from foreign tourists expenditure which accounts for more than half of the local tourists. The fact therefore underlines the importance of foreign tourist growth observation due to its significance for Bali economy. This research aims at estimating the change of tourists arrival because of the fluctuation of IDR (depreciation and appreciation) which allegedly thought as one of the underlying factors affecting the number of tourists arrival. This research also aims at analyzing the sensitivity of foreign tourists to the change of traveling cost and at analyzing the tourists destination shift should there be any change of traveling cost and also at analyzing the characteristics of the foreign tourists affected by the exchange rate fluctuations. Event studies showed that exchange rate fluctuation did not affect foreign tourists decision on coming to Bali. This was due to the fact that
foreign tourists arrival escalates regardless the exchange rate fluctuation (depreciation and appreciation). Meanwhile, descriptive analyses showed that only minority of foreign tourists were affected by exchange rate fluctuations with analysis characteristic of the country of origin. Moreover, despite the rise of traveling cost to Bali, more than 50% respondents chose to travel to Bali and although there was a change of destination, more than 30% respondents chose other Asian countries as a replacement. It was also revealed that the older the tourists, the less the effect of exchange rate fluctuation on their decision to visit Bali
HOW FOOD CONSUMPTION PATTERN AND DIETARY DIVERSITY DESCRIBE FOOD SECURITY: EVIDENCE FROM YOGYAKARTA AND EAST NUSA TENGGARA
According to Food Security Agency, food consumption pattern should meet nutrition standards and follow desirable dietary pattern (Pola Pangan Harapan/PPH). PPH is an indicator for nutritional dietary intake. This study aims to analyse food consumption pattern and dietary diversity in Yogyakarta and East Nusa Tenggara; and how they influence food security. The household data survey (Susenas) 2014 showed that PPH scores for Yogyakarta is higher than East Nusa Tenggara. From these scores, Yogyakarta has better food consumption pattern and led to diverse food intake. In Yogyakarta, people have been diversifying their consumption in accordance with the concept of PPH. This means that people have realised to meet their nutrition by consuming nutritious food and help them not only to achieve food security but also nutrition security. Moreover, people have used local-based food to be consumed so that they do not depend on their current food. Meanwhile, in East Nusa Tenggara, people tend to meet their needs regardless their food has good nutrition or not. In addition, dietary diversity or PPH is influenced by some factors, such as education, family size, age of the household head, and expenditure. These results confirm that diverse consumption pattern showed high food security and those factors should be concerned to improve the quality of food consumption

Financial Technology (Fintech) institutions and they tried to synergize with the cooperatives to overcome these
problems. This study aims to find out the synergy carried out by Fintech institutions with the cooperatives, and
their impact on MSMEs, cooperatives and Fintech institutions, especially in West Nusa Tenggara (NTB). This
study used a qualitative analysis and quantitative descriptive. The results show that there are two cooperatives
in NTB that synergized with Fintech institutions namely Koperasi Mitra Dhuafa (Komida) with Fintech Mekar,
and Koperasi Tani (Koptan) Wira Singe with Fintech Mandiri e-cash. Fintech Mekar provides applications as a
medium for meeting investors and borrowers. Komida facilitated its members to obtain a loan funded by Fintech
Mekar, while Fintech Mandiri e-cash, a Fintech payment similar to cellphone accounts, cooperating with Koptan
Wira Singe helped Bank Mandiri to educate and facilitate its members to be able to access Mandiri e-cash. From
this collaboration, both Fintech, cooperative and member institutions have a positive impact in the form of returns,
increased number of customers, capital assistance, increased sales and profit transactions, increased number of
business relations, and financial literacy
BASELINE KONDISI SOSIAL EKONOMI PEMBENTUKAN (KEK) DI TANJUNG LESUNG: ANALISIS DATA SENSUS PENDUDUK 2010
To spur the slowing down of Indonesia’s economic growth, the government issued a package containing the VI Economic Policy Establishment of Special Economic Zones (SEZ). Judging from the experience of other countries, the SEZ has been shown to accelerate economic growth, increase GDP, absorb employment, and attract foreign direct investment (FDI). From the eight SEZ set in the Economic Policy Package VI, the formation of the tourist area of Tanjung Lesung very interesting to study as it was the first one in the tourism sector. Given the very large potential of Indonesia’s tourism sector, the Tanjung Lesung SEZ will serve as a pilot model for the development of other SEZs. Additionally, Tanjung Lesung SEZ already set before other SEZs, since the issuance of the presidential
decree No. 41 year 2012. Using data from the 2010 Population Census which was collected before Tanjung Lesung was set as SEZ, one can compare the conditions before and after the SEZ runs. This study makes a baseline to capture the socio-economic conditions by dividing the research variables into two groups; groups of population and infrastructure group. Then it will search the media to determine the condition of the latest developments. This study found that infrastructure and human resources are necessary to optimize SEZ Tanjung Lesung
