This study tries to know the map of special libraries and information sources in Indonesia. Publication which examined are Directory of Special Libraries and Information Sources in Indonesia which published in 1981, 1985, 1990, 1995, 2000, and 2005. Data was collected by rewrite of each title of the library, address or city also province, field or subject, and established year. Total of the special libraries base on city (libraries address), field or subject, and established year then calculated and presented in form of tables and hystograms. The result shows that total of special libraries and information sources in Indonesia increase year by year. The last publication in 2005 registered as many as 994 of libraries which reside in 32 provinces (136 cities) in Indonesia. Base on the total that registered, 668 libraries are in Jawa Island (62 cities), and others 326 libraries are in outside Jawa Island (74 cities). The most of special libraries with subject of religion (143 libraries) and economics (140 libraries), then social, agriculture, education, law, and medicine. The author also found that there are 3 oldest special libraries which were established in 1842, 1886, and 1887, while the youngest library was established in 2004

This study aims to know the results of integrated featured research (IFR) activities, covering the number of the researches, the scoup of research fields, and the affiliations of research. Moreover, this study is for understanding the scientific researches resulted from the IFR, the fields, the types of the research documents and the authors’ ratio. The source of data was taken from “Tracking Hasil Riset Unggulan Terpadu” (Tracking of the IFR) publication year 2000, 2001, 2002, 2004, 2005 and 2006. The study showed that there are 372 IFR’s titles which covering 14 fields. The most frequently appeared field is thetechnology of agricultural products, i.e. 69 titles (18,55%). The most common affiliation is from university, i.e. 279. The IFR resulted in 2.188 scientific publications, and at most, i.e. 1.301 titles (59,46%) are from the seminar papers and the like, nationally and internationally. The scientific research publications published at most in the year 1999, i.e. 248 titles (11,33%). If they are seen from the author collaboration side then the scientific research written by the collaborating authors are more than those which written by the single author

The aim of this research is to identify the awareness, competency level, and constraints of information literacy among non-formal education tutors in DKI Jakarta Capital Special Territory. There are forty seven (or 94%) respondents from the tutor population in DKI Jakarta. Data was collected by using questionnaires and in-depth interviews. The research findings show that most respondents stated that they understand information literacy terminology. he respondents can evaluate and manage information they found. Although this competency has not meet information literacy standards yet, they able to find information to meet their immediate needs. According to the respondents, the biggest constraint on information literacy lays on their own effort and willingness, their lack of motivation and skill to find information. The external constraints include lack of information access infrastructure (and facilities), and due to the high cost of retrieving information. In order to support tutor’s tasks and activities, the respondents stated that they need courses and training, especially regarding information searching, foreign languages, introduction to computer and internet access, research methodology, and scientific writing. This research recomend to improve tutor’s information literacy competece especially information retrieval, information repackaging, and writing skills

The aim of this study is to explore information about the characteristics of collections of the type specimens of bamboo in Herbarium Bogoriense (BO) to obtain the infografic status of the collections. The study was conducted in April-May 2018 at BO, Research Center for Biology ‒ LIPI with direct observation method. The population, as well as the sample of the research, is the whole collections of type specimens of bamboo in BO. Data obtained by examining and recording the entire collection of type specimens of bamboo in BO. Characteristics that observed are species names, collectors, number and year of collection, discovery location, number of sheets, specimen conditions, the journal of publication and year, kind of type and duplicate location. Each of species name is validated before it is analyzed. The data were analyzed and presented qualitatively as the tables and charts. There are 107 species from 117 collection numbers of type specimens of bamboo in BO. Two numbers collection from two species is not found. The most type specimen is from Gigantochloa (20,5%). Approximately 63,5% of type specimens were published and/or proposed the combinations of names by LIPI researchers. Elizabeth A.Widjaja is the collector of the most type specimens (43,6%). The highest period (34,2%) of collection activities was in 1991-2000. About 62,6% of type specimens are collected from various islands in Indonesia. There are 577 sheets of type specimens in BO, 92% are in good condition and 8% is good enough. There are 51,3% of holotype specimens in BO, followed by isotype (30,8%), paratype (11,1%), lectotype (2,6%), neotype (2,6%), epitype (0,8%), and isosyntype (0,8%). As many as 50% holotypes has duplicates in more than two different of herbarium locations, the other 37% are without duplicates. About 56% of type specimens are published in the journal of Reinwardtia and 16,8% in Kew Bulletin

INFLUENCE OF Mo AND Nb CONTENT ON THE MECHANICAL AND CORROSION PROPERTIES OF AlCrMoNbZr HIGH-ENTROPY ALLOYS FOR NUCLEAR FUEL CLADDING

    No full text
The effect of varying Mo and Nb content in AlCrMo5%NbZr and AlCrMoNb5%Zr on their mechanical and corrosion properties has been investigated. X-ray diffraction (XRD) analysis revealed the presence of cubic and hexagonal crystal structure, with AlCrMoNb5%Zr exhibiting a higher concentration of hexagonal structures, contributing to improved hardness and corrosion resistance. Scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and energy-dispersive spectroscopy (EDS) confirmed a dendritic morphology with uniform elemental distribution for both samples. Vickers hardness and the corrosion testing shows the AlCrMoNb5%Zr has superior hardness and significantly lower corrosion rate compared to AlCrMo5%NbZr, respectively. These findings suggest that less amount of Nb content enhances mechanical and corrosion properties, making AlCrMoNb5%Zr a potential material for nuclear reactor applications, mainly as fuel cladding material
