‘Fluencia’ y ‘fontanal’ en Xavier Zubiri
In this article I propose to analyse the terms ‘fluency’ and ‘fontanal’ at different moments of Zubiri’s speculative itinerary, from Nature, History, God to the trilogy on Sentient Intelligence. The aim is to show not only the persistence of these terms throughout Zubiri’s work, but also the relevance of the concepts time after time implied. ‘Fontanal’ implies ‘formal causality’; ‘activity’; ‘transcendental character of formality’; ‘primordial apprehension’; ‘actu-alization’. ‘Fluency’ and ‘flow’, with all their derivatives, imply ‘mode of being of time’; ‘re-version towards the Father in the Trinity’; ‘figuration’ and ‘personality’; ‘social dimension’, ‘logos’, ‘reason’, ‘re-actualization’En este artículo me propongo analizar los términos ‘fluencia’ y ‘fontanal’ en distintos momentos del itinerario especulativo zubiriano, desde Naturaleza, Historia, Dios hasta la trilogía sobre la Inteligencia sentiente.
The life expectancy is increasing every day, the quality of life has increased a new stage called, retirement, this stage is characterized by great changes to enjoy free time, get knowledge that they did not have, opportunity to carry out activities; in other decades, time was used to rest while currently being used for lifelong learning. The increase of the population contributes to the development of society, offering the possibility of learning in equal conditions, being valued and recognized. The image of aging societies is evidence more and more remarkable, therefore, permanent education is an unfinished process for any person, every day there is something to learn. Martínez Rodríguez points out (2006, p. 51) that, to age well is to age actively and this implies fundamentally three conditions: to grow old having a social role, to age with health and to age with security. “Active aging requires society to guarantee that older citizens can continue to be informed, while ensuring that all their rights are recognized. It assumes an intergenerational approach by recognizing the importance of relationships and the help that members of one generation and another offer each other. It requires an integral approach, because it offers a more complete and global vision of people and their aging process”. (Bermejeo, 2010, p. 10). As it is reflected in the White Paper, active aging constitutes, in short, a fundamental aspect to combat and delay dependency situations both physical, psychic, social, educational and functional.

The article has proposed to translate and to move to the Spanish school of today the principal contributions of Don Milani and of Barbiana’s school (Italy), which it managed between 1954 and 1967. First there are mentioned three big reforms that defend themselves in the Letter to a teacher –not to suspend, school in time plenary session and a purpose– and his force is argued and as implementing them today. Later other three cardinal contributions are mentioned: the primacy of the language, the current importance like base of the curriculum and the place of the spirituality, emphasizing that the three should be considered to be authentic priorities of the educational Spanish system.
The reading of Letter to a Teacher and Barbiana\u27s radical proposalchanged the professional life of the author, who took them as a fundamental referenceto this day. But Barbiana\u27s proposal is difficult to translate into the national dailyschool reality; and the author found an answer to this need in Mario Lodi, who sharesBarbiana\u27s fundamental principles and translates them into a methodology applied toa 4-hour-a-day public elementary school. These two experiences, which then seemed
extraordinary and difficult to apply, today correspond exactly to the indications con-tained in the Convention on the Rights of the Child and are, therefore, the only ones
legally applicable and, consequently, obligatory.
Cyprian of Carthage and also Eusebius of Cesarea captures the consequences of Decius’s edict in their writtings, forcing all the Roman Empire citizens to sacrifice their roman deity. This order could pull a Christian group to respect this laws and, consequently, to apostate of their religion, in fact or with some certificates (libelli), fraudulently gotten. Therfore, it was necessary to find a solution for the people who have repudiated their religious practices to be readmited in theirChristian communities.
None of the ancient documents that relate this emperor to the Christians (Vita Abercii, Tertullian and the apocryphal letter of Marcus Aurelius to the senate on the episode of the miraculous rain, Meliton of Sardis - collected in Eusebius of Caesarea-, the rescript to the governor of Gallia Lugdunensis and the senatusconsultum de pretiis gladiatoriis minuendis) expressly mentions the issuing by his chancellery of a general edict against the members of his communities; rather, these years seem to be identified with a period of relative calm and tranquillity despite certain upheavals in North Africa or in the case of the martyrs of Lyon.Driven by his philosophical principles and for reasons of state, Marcus Aurelius could not be a supporter of the Christian religion; but if we have examples of martyrdom (real or hypothetical) during his reign, it was not due to the application of an official and systematic persecution but to the validity of the juridical approach established, more than half a century earlier, by Trajan and confirmed by Hadrian.
