WEB 2.0 AS AN ONLINE FUN LEARNING TOOLS FOR HERITAGE STUDIES DURING PANDEMIC: COERCION OR CONSENT?
Abstract
This study evaluated the efficacy of fun online learning methods (FOLMs) in teaching and learning the Introduction to Cultural Heritage (SCM2223) course during the COVID-19 pandemic at Universiti Malaysia Kelantan, Malaysia. This study aims to understand the student\u27s demographic background, awareness, and perception of using FOLMs in SCM2223 during the pandemic. It also uses quantitative and qualitative data collection through surveys and reports. A total of 149 from 211 students who took SCM2223 responded to the survey using stratified random sampling. The data were analysed using Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS). Results highlight that students are ready to fully embark on full time FOLMs without feeling coerced during the pandemic as data triangulation shows that these methods enhance student understanding, comprehension and acceptance of the course. In addition, it increased student interest in learning and, more importantly, encouraged student cognitive behaviour towards the course content and improved overall satisfaction with online teaching methods. Finally, This study provides methods for improving new online learning alternatives, developing good course teaching evaluation reports, and achieving good course learning outcomes (CLO).

The Effect Of Leadership And Organisational Culture With Information Technology As Mediator Towards Knowledge Management Among Top Management At Malaysian Public Universities
Knowledge management is a complex and critical task in institutes of higher learning. On the other hand, comprehensive research is relatively scarce in public universities for knowledge management. This paper aims to examine the effect of knowledge management from the perspectives of leadership, organisational culture, and information management. Thus, the quantitative method approach was used. Data were collected using self-administered questionnaires from 285 academic senate members. Data obtained were analysed using SPSS for descriptive statistics to describe the respondents\u27 demographic profiles and inferential research using structural equation modeling with AMOS. Samples were drawn using a simple random sample, and the sample size was obtained using the Krejcie and Morgan formula (1970). The findings showed that all dimensions examined in the study strongly demonstrated a significant role in sustaining knowledge management practice. Moreover, the results generated have supported all of the study\u27s hypotheses. Concurrently, it is proposed that higher education institutions should consider variables such as leadership, organisational culture, and information technology when boosting the effectiveness of knowledge management and preserving sound knowledge management practice. More importantly, information communication technology should be extensively utilized for management, mediation, decision-making, and knowledge exchange between individuals
Comparative efficacy of three synchronization protocols in anestrous goats (Capra hircus)
The goal of this experiment was to compare the effectiveness of three popular synchronization protocols, viz. ovsynch, double prostaglandin (PGF2? /PG) injections, and MAP (Medroxyprogesterone acetate) sponges, in anestrous goats. Twenty one non pregnant multiparous anestrous goats with an average body condition score (BCS = 2.5) were selected. After the last PG injection, all the goats were exposed to three fertile bucks. They were observed to be in standing estrus. For further confirmation of copulation, a vaginal cytology test was performed for the presence of sperm inside the vaginal smear. Serum estradiol (E2) peaks were also estimated by using radioimmunoassay in estrus goats. MAP sponge efficiency with respect to estrus induction was found to be superior (57%) as compared to the rest (Ovsynch14 and PG 0%) (p< 0.05). Post PG standing estrus time in ovsynch and MAP groups was recorded as 48 h and 44 ± 12 h, respectively. The double PG group totally failed to show standing estrus. E2 peak levels ranging from 11-38 pg/ml in ovsynch and 10–25 pg/ml in the MAP group were observed in estrus goats. This study found the MAP sponge protocol most efficient for inducing estrus in anestrous goats
The emerging evidences related to the Inter-relationship between COVID-19 and climate change: A scoping review perspective
Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) has affected a number of integral aspects and climate change is one of them. The inter-relationship between COVID-19 and climate change has garnered the interest among scholars across the globe to probe into the related emerging issues. With the escalating number of published articles, a pressing need is present to map and review all available studies in order to capture comprehensive and organised views for future scholars to draw upon the existing pattern of the interchanging correlation between COVID-19 and climate change. This scoping review is guided by a primary research question - what is the inter-relationship between COVID-19 and climate change. Related articles and documents were retrieved from Scopus, Science Direct, and Google Scholars databases. The thematically analysis data were classified into four emerging themes: (1) reduced air pollution, (2) low carbon emission, (3) the impact of temperature and humidity variation on COVID-19, and (4) the impact of air pollution on COVID-19. Variances in the outcomes, particularly on the effects of temperature, humidity, and polluted air on COVID-19, suggest further exploration endeavours. Essentially, the economic impact exerted by COVID-19 and its overall effect on budget to combat climate change remain untapped
Relevance of Wording and Relevance of Meaning On Waqf Ikhtiyārī in Surah al-Qāri‘aṯ
This study was conducted to examine the function of the relevance of wording and meaning in surah al-Qāri‘aṯ. This study also focuses on the function reasonableness about the relevance of the wording and meaning in dividing a surah into several segments, then in stipulating the law of Waqf at the end of each segment. The question about an extent of a person’s dependence on the laws of Waqf which have been decided by the scholars will be answered by this study. The method used is qualitative libraries that involve data collection and analysis. The accumulated data are in the form of descriptive and these involve writing and video records. These data will be analysed using content analysis methods that involve description and interpretation with evidence. The study findings show that the relevance of wording and meaning could be implemented in dividing surah al-Qāri‘aṯ into four segments. These findings also prove that law of Waqf can be decided, even without first referring to the rullings that have been decided by past scholars. The uniqueness of the implementation of these two relatedities in a surah is that it provides thorough understanding prior to the law stipulation of Waqf, whether in ra’si āyaṯ or at the end of the segment
Bismi Empire Spreads Its Wings
One night in early April 1998, Mazlina (responsible for the financial affairs of Bismi Empire) encountered a worrying predicament and discussed matters with Jaffri (the owner and her husband), “Dear, I want to talk about the debtor record in this financial report. The total is RM600,000 since September 1997. The note shows 23 vendors who are indebted to Bismi Empire.” Mazlina detailed each item to her husband, who examined the record intently. The record was placed open on their Mitsubishi Pajero seat, which smelled of their products. “The lengthiest debt is seven months, and the largest debt is RM73,000,” Mazlina continued disgruntledly. Mazlina explained about her past week reminder to Saad, an old acquaintance of Jaffri. His repayment in the last seven months was too little, not even 20% of the total. Nevertheless, Jaffri smiled at Mazlina without a word.
“Why do you still let them owe money?” although Mazlina knew her husband’s behaviour well, she found it difficult to understand. Business and personal life should be distinguished: they are two distinct spaces. “No worries, dear, we are helping other people. We are not losing money, and maybe tomorrow or the day after, they will surely pay,” he responded while rubbing Mazlina’s shoulders. “This has gone for too long, dear. Have a look at the figures in our account. I am worried and upset. How long will those vendors at the market continue like this?” Mazlina tried to calm her muddled emotions but persisted, “Dear, is not our business principle to avoid debts? We have to pay Ah Kong and his supplier friends immediately. I am worried that Bismi Empire will lose its blessing if we continue being in debt.” Mazlina’s tone went higher as she pondered how to solve the issue. Jaffri looked to his side; the noise from the vendors and buyers in the market was more interesting

GAYA FOTO KASSIAN CEPHAS (1845 – 1912): JURUGAMBAR JAWA MAHKAMAH KESULTANAN YOGYAKARTA
Abstract
The dispute over Kassian Céphas \u27 photo work has been debated to this day. Why do the pictures of theJavanese kingdom look so rigid, face-to-face, with dignity, flat lighting and do not reflect the character ofthe King of Java. This study was conducted using Barrett\u27s art criticism model and semiotic analysis. The picture of the King of Sultan Hamengkubuwana VII is usually photographed in an authoritative, formal pose, facing forward as it is a custom of Java, following palace protocol, and the photographer usually does not try to reveal the character of the model. Kassian Chepas did not apply the Odalisque to the royal family except for photographs in his studio. However, Kassian Céphas is also creative with photos of young Javanese women in various poses and studio light techniques, including chiaroscuro and applying Odalisque style in his studio. His style is more “documentary approach” and does not follow the High Art style. Kassian Chepas\u27 photographs have been recognized as icons, indexes, and symbols. In particular, for Javanese people, the Sultan\u27s image is a well-known icon and symbol for Indonesians. Images of sultans dating back to Sultan Hamengkubowono X are available. Sultan Hamengkubowono VII inferred that the Dutch ruled Indonesia during the colonial era by using the Dutch military uniform as an indicator
