Keep Truckin: Collaborative Approach: Going Over The Cliff For Customer Satisfaction
No full textThe current case is about the company Keep Truckin which is offering fleet management services, but the company is now facing a dilemma with a valued client, Tim Hathaway. He got angry after reading an email from Keep Truckin about the extra charges that were due on Nippon Express (Tim’s company), and in a state of frustration and aggression, he contacted Keep Truckin. Tim furiously communicated his concerns and grievances by claiming that this company had turned out to be fraudulent by charging wrongfully on a monthly basis while the subscription was on a yearly basis. This issue accelerated when Tim wanted to unsubscribe from the services. However, Bryan, a customer success associate at Truckin, set up an audit team to investigate the details that spurred such a conflict. Following the audit report, it was concluded that Tim was right about the subscription issue, and the fault lay on the service provider\u27s end, i.e., Keep Truckin. The delay in updating the records was a significant element, but Tim’s claim about internal employees from the department being involved in malicious activities to make money off clients was a severe concern for Bryan and the company.

She can be described as a lioness in the world of real estate, which the other so-called superior sex-male counterparts have dominated. Her well-defined story is depicted, so the world knows that success comes through hardship despite her well-to-do background. Some might not believe that Munirah’s journey to victory is filled with agonies and pains, but patiently, she accepts what Allah has planned for her. She believes in exploring, exposing and assessing issues brought forward and not afraid of taking risks or anything that she is not used to. She bows to be resilient to changes and leaves plenty of room to think wisely. Repeatedly mentioned that Munirah is of a prosperous family, living in a flourishing mode and is constantly showered with an abundance of wealth. However, she is never too arrogant to start her way up from the lowest level. To be specific, her predicament starts by being a receptionist at one of the real estate agencies in town, Subang Jaya. Later, with an ambitious heart, she spreads her wings by asking to be a negotiator in the same company and her plea is accepted. However, she is a strong-headed woman who is an added advantage. Feeling that there are still some missing portions of her life, she heads on to achieve what is already in store for her. There is no turning back, and she moves on with bigger and wider steps. Completing herself by adding more knowledge in the field of real estate, Munirah vows to be an energetic, productive and skilful agent. After sometimes, Munirah’s Homefield Real Estate Agency was set up in 1996.
Munirah’s long journey in the real estate milieu hopefully would open lots of eyes to that being the opposite sex shall not hinder a person from attaining her desires to be A SOMEONE. There shall be no more aching hearts or soaring minds that whisper swiftly into the minds of many about women who are only second-class citizens. Munirah once said to herself, “I am not just A woman, but I am THE woman, the one who would stand in the eyes of the world.”
Munirah can be the Malay role model, the hero or the super duper lady who shall inspire the life of many young women out there. Hopefully, these young women can follow in her footsteps into making the first move into real estate. Demographic Differences and Customer Satisfaction towards Banking Services in Benin City, Nigeria
No full textThis study empirically examined whether there are any significant differences on demographic and customer satisfaction towards banking services in Benin City, Nigeria. The research design employed in this study is the cross-sectional survey methodology. Three hundred and sixty seven (367); (91.75%) copies of questionnaire were returned, vividly filled and found suitable were imputed for the final data analyses. Independent samples t-Test and one-way Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) F-Test were utilized to test the hypotheses. The study found out that gender, age and occupation have positive relationships and significant differences, while marital status has an inverse relationship, but significant difference, in conclusion occupation has a positive relationship, though insignificant difference. The study recommends that regulatory and supervisory authorities should formulate and implement appropriate policies, in addition staff training and development in up-skilling and re-skilling should be boosted consistently and to conclude, demographic attributes should be considered as significant factors when delivering banking services to customers
Influence of copper-zinc mixture in different rates on pH and electrical conductivity as a potential for foliar spray fertilization
No full textElectrical conductivity (EC) and pH of a nutrient solution influences the availability of nutrients, so it should be maintained in the optimum range. Nutrient solutions available to plants at low pH (between 5.0 and 6.0) and EC (between 1.6 and 2.4). Pineapple plants require copper and zinc micronutrients to produce high quality fruits. By applying different rates of copper-zinc chelated fertilizer with NPK fertilizer, it will help to increase the plant growth and nutrient uptake. 0.1,0.2,0.3,0.4,0.5 and 0.6 g of copper EDTA and zinc EDTA were added with 8.89 g nitrogen, 3.86 g phosphorus, and 2.18 g potassium. All the mixtures were diluted with 250 ml water. Electrical conductivity (EC) analysis was measured using the EC meter with calibrated conductivity meter while pH solution was measured using pH meter. Results from this study can be concluded that there was a significant difference between pH and EC reading. The optimum solution at 0.6 g rate of copper EDTA and zinc EDTA showed pH 5.74 and EC reading at 1.156 ms/m. Arts Element in STEAM Education: A Systematic Review of Journal Publications
No full textMost of the country have conducted research in the last few years to improve their students\u27 achievement through STEAM which mean science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics education. Anyway, in Malaysia STEM education still focus in both primary and secondary schools. This was stated in the Malaysian Education Blueprint (2013-2015) in which STEM education would strengthen the science subjects in our country. However, the main issue related to STEM education in Malaysia is students\u27 lack of interest in science subjects. The factors that contribute to students’ lack of interest in STEM are students\u27 anxieties and difficulties in getting good grades in STEM, declining PISA performance, and teachers\u27 teaching approach. Many studies that show integrating arts in STEM, which is known as STEAM education, is a critical education model for enhancing STEM. The United States, Korea, and New Zealand have already implemented the model in their education system. This literature review aims to introduce the STEAM framework and its importance for students and teachers. It examines the findings, discussions, and recommendations of collected STEM/STEAM research works from 2006 to 2021 based on positive impact of STEAM on students\u27 achievement, cognitive development, creativity, and ability in problem-solving. STEAM education is still new in Malaysia and if it were to be implemented in Malaysia, policymakers will need to develop a curriculum, professional development for teachers, and materials to ensure that it can be implemented successfully in Malaysia
Level of Quran Reading Proficiency: A case Study of Arabic Language Students in Malaysia
No full textThe importance of mastering the recitation of the Qur\u27an among Muslims has prompted many researchers to study the level and ability of reciting the Qur\u27an, especially among Muslim students. The present study was conducted to examine the ability to read the Quran among students taking Arabic language courses at one of the public universities located in the East Coast, Malaysia. This quantitative study uses two methods, namely reading test and questionnaire survey method for the purpose of data collection. Respondents for the study were selected using purposive sampling technique. A total of 36 respondents were involved in this study. The data obtained were analyzed descriptively. The results of descriptive analysis showed that the majority of respondents are weak in reading the Quran. The results of the survey also indicated that only 10.6 percent of the respondents obtained excellent scores (A and A-) in Arabic for the Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) while less than half (38.9 percent) of respondents obtained excellent scores in the UBA 2012 Arabic course. The ability to speak in Arabic is also associated with the ability to read the Quran. Thus, future studies can be conducted to find out the relationship between achievement in Arabic language proficiency with the ability to read the Qur\u27an among students as well as the existence of other indicators that can affect the ability to read the Qur\u27an
Wau Tradisi: Branding of a Traditional Family Mixed Gravy Spice
No full textThis case describes a family business producing gravy mix spices—known as\u27 gravy \u27in Malay—that has been operating since the 1970s in Kampung Kubang Pasu, Kota Bharu, Kelantan. In 1984, Mr.Mohd Anazim Adnan (henceforth he shall be known as "Anazim"), a family member of the third generation, was entrusted with the legacy of this mixed spice "gravy" business that was started by her great grandmother. In 1986, via Kilang Bimbingan Bank, Pembanggunan started the first pilot test in Kota Bharu. In line with the development of the local food industry and the transition of business management from the store to the factory, Mr. Adnan (Anazim\u27s father) applied for the grant and set up the wau tradisi in 1986 in Kilang Jalan, Padang Tembak. As a result, the transition from Anazim\u27s father to him was successful. The company was able to maintain the success of this mixed spice gravy by continuing the family’s secret recipe for generations. Most of the traditional methods for food manufacturing and business management are still practiced in the business of Wau Tradisi. As the company manager, Anazim feels there is a need to update the company’s management, expand the market, and conduct research on the products. Because the mixed spices gravy market is highly demanded in Malaysia, and there is not enough supply to supply all of Peninsular Malaysia, In the transition and expansion process, there are two vital turning points that have to be overcome. First, the product branding, and second, the human resources. During the period, Anazim faced difficulties managing the obstacles, such as poor support from its management and documentation issues. Anazim was able to move the business forward after the obstacles were removed by using trial and error steps. Currently, Anazim is able to expand his business internationally and capture the demand both locally and internationally.

This case is rated medium to difficult; depending on how deep the analysis one wants to undertake. The case should be distributed to participants or students a few days before the discussion session takes place, and at least THREE HOURS should be allocated for the discussion and class activity. If desired, the initial discussion can be conducted in groups of THREE or FOUR participants/students and followed by a general class discussion. For students, the case study can be used for a long report in lieu of the traditional final exam.

THE FEMINISM ISSUES ON PEREMPUAN BERKALUNG SORBAN\u27S MOVIE AND NOVEL FROM AN ISLAMIC PERSPECTIVE

The public often talks about feminist issues. This issue is not an exception to be displayed in national and overseas films. Perempuan Berkalung Sorban received numerous awards in Festival Film Bandung and the Indonesian Movie Award in 2009. Despite this achievement, politicians banned and criticised it because of its Islamic portrayal. However, this movie was not exempt from identifying feminine issues with its plot. This paper is trying to find out the issues of feminism in Perempuan Berkalung Sorban\u27s movie from an Islamic perspective. This study was used the content analysis approach for feminist issues such as leadership, marital rape and domestic violence and women\u27s status and education rights. The feminism issues should not be depicted in Islamic films, since this will adversely affect the image of Muslim women and ruin the name of Islam as a religion that values the honour of Muslim women. In producing an Islamic film, there must be a Shari\u27ah-compliant guideline on the issues brought in the film. The film can positively and negatively influence individuals, communities, and nations.

Isu feminisme sering diperkatakan oleh orang ramai. Isu ini juga tidak terkecuali ditayangkan dalam filem dalam dan luar negara. Perempuan Berkalung Sorban menerima pelbagai anugerah dalam Festival Filem Bandung dan Anugerah Filem Indonesia kedua-duanya pada tahun 2009. Namun begitu, disebalik pencapaian ini ia diharamkan dan dikritik oleh ahli politik kerana penggambaran Islam dalam filem tersebut. Walau bagaimanapun, filem ini tidak terkecuali terdapat isu feminin dalam plot filemnya. Kajian ini cuba untuk mengetahui isu-isu feminisme dalam filem Perempuan Berkalung Sorban dari perspektif Islam. Kajian ini menggunakan pendekatan analisis kandungan untuk isu-isu feminisme seperti kepimpinan, pemerkosaan dalam perkahwinan dan keganasan rumah tangga serta status wanita dan hak pendidikan. Isu feminisme tidak sepatutnya digambarkan dalam filem berbentuk Islamik, kerana ini akan menjejaskan imej wanita Islam dan merosakkan nama Islam sebagai agama yang menghargai kehormatan wanita Islam. Dalam menghasilkan filem Islamik, perlu ada garis panduan yang patuh syariah tentang isu yang dibawa dalam filem tersebut. Program Keusahawanan dan Prospek Kerjaya Pilihan Mahasiswa: Kajian di UKM
No full textThis study aims to explore the pattern of career choice among students who have gone through various entrepreneurship programs at Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia. This study used primary data involving 369 final year students of the 2013/2016 cohort from seven faculties. This descriptive study used a questionnaire as its instrument. Although there are several entrepreneurship programs with university compulsory status, faculty compulsory, compulsory program and residential college compulsory, the findings of the study show that students ’career choice patterns are more inclined towards salaried work, further education, and finally entrepreneurship. The findings of the study are expected because the respondents are a pilot cohort of entrepreneurship programs in universities where the entrepreneurship curriculum is still in its early stages and the pedagogy of teaching and learning still needs a lot of improvement. The clusters of students who showed the highest interest in entrepreneurial prospects were from the Faculty of Built Environment Engineering, the Faculty of Economics and Management, and the Faculty of Education. The implications of the study to be discussed are referring to the management and administration of programs and courses
